I'm not what you'd call a video game junkie—mostly because I don't give myself the opportunity to be. I get sucked in too easily!
That aside, I absolutely love all the peta2 games we have! I know, I know, I'm probably a bit biased, but seriously, they're awesome. So I'm super-excited to get to tell you guys about our brand-new game! Mama Kills Animals is peta2's brand-new parody of the popular Nintendo game Cooking Mama.
In the game, you can pluck a turkey, chop off his head, stuff him, and more, all to help Mama prepare a Thanksgiving feast. But beware: Things will get bloody. What better time than right before Thanksgiving to get all your friends and family to play this game and see how gruesome it really is to "prepare" a turkey dinner?
So go on, play it now, then pass it on to everyone you know. And also, if you add this banner to your page, you can get 500 Street Team points if you e-mail the link to your page to StreetTeam@peta2.com.

Okay, so tell me, are you meaner than mama? Get playing to find out!

P.S. I hope you make it to the bonus level. You'll love it!
Win NBA2K9 featuring The Cool Kids! October 22, 2008
Posted by Shannon Phillips at October 22, 2008 4:56 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 180 ) | TrackBackBasketball is like hip-hop—it all flows from a solid foundation in the fundamentals. But the true greats leap from foundation into the uncharted depths of the freestyle. It's jazz, son. And no one knows that better than peta2 pals The Cool Kids, who are all over the just-released NBA2K9. Enter to win a copy below!
NBA2K9 captures the improvisational nature of basketball better than any game I've ever played. So it's no surprise that The Cool Kids, peta2's favorite Chicago heads and owners of the realest freestyle in hip-hop today, not only contributed an original track for the game's soundtrack, but are playable characters in the game itself and are even headlining the game's promotional tour.
peta2 knows a little bit about the Kids' tour styles—they were nice enough to bring us out with them on their last run to spread the word about animals killed for their fur—and we can personally attest that these shows are not to be missed. Another thing not to miss: peta2's interview with the Kids where they talk about why fur is whacker than a whole closet full of Craig Sager's suits.
So are we agreed then? Fur sucks? Good. To celebrate our new arrangement, comment on this post with your fave Cool Kids track to enter to win a copy of NBA 2K9. Let us know what system you want it for (XBOX360, PS3, PS2, or PC). Anyone who already has it and posts a screengrab of Chuck English posterizing Kobe Bryant wins an extra-special prize. Don't say we never did nothin' for you.
This contest ends November 5th, 2008 and one winner will be chosen and notified that same day.

Amazing peta2 Game Featuring Super Chick Sisters August 22, 2007
Posted by Pulin Modi at August 22, 2007 8:12 AM | Permalink | Comments ( 0 ) | TrackBackI remember coming home from a soccer game one fine Fall day about twenty years ago to find my brother upstairs playing Nintendo! Of course, since it was brand new we only really had Super Mario Bros, but that game has left a legacy for anyone who is even remotely interested in any sort of video game these days. Every now and again, games are fun and exciting and give you a semi-legitimate excuse to fight with your siblings and friends.

With some inspiration from the Bros, we decided to come up with the Super Chick Sisters game which has provided me more hours of enjoyment than I care to admit. Ok it's less than one hundred hours, but more than just one. That's all I'm saying!
I'm not a huge fan of video games, but one crack at this and we think you'll be hooked. And who wouldn't want to defeat the Evil Col. Sanders and save Pamela Anderson out of the goodness of their hearts anyway?
Ok, time for me to shut up. Time for you to get to playing. Click here and get ready for a fun time!
