tour Taste of Chaos green The Secret Handshake
Hey yo!
The one and only peta2 Road Crew is reporting again from the road as we continue to rip through the country on the Rockstar Taste of Chaos Tour. We've been on tour with our friends in Thursday and Bring Me the Horizon informing audiences across the U.S. about the effect factory farming has on the environment. Thousands have signed our "Meat's Not Green" petition during this tour and hopefully you're one of those thousands, but if you're not, you can sign it here.

What's all this talk about the environment and slaughter houses? Well according to a study done by the United Nations, the factory farming business is the number one contributor to the global warming problem our planet is experiencing. Want proof? Factory farm raised animals use 50% of the water consumed in the U.S. Want more? To make one pound of hamburger it takes the same amount of water as 17 showers. That's nuts right?! I know I know, you might be thinking "What can little ol' me do to stop this? I mean the planet is HUGE!" Well the best way to help is to go vegetarian. Not only would you be saving the planet but you'd also be saving animals. It's a win win! To find delicious recipes and ways to make your veg transition easier, hop over here.
This week on tour we've had a variety of friends come help spread the word about saving our planet and animal friends. Street Teamers Laura and Kelly came out to the Orlando and San Antonio shows, and assisted us in completely rocking those crowds. Those girls really know their stuff and made a major impact on how many people we reached on those dates. Thanks ladies for caring so much and kicking butt! Want to come help us at a show? It's easy, just join the peta2 Street Team and join a community of awesome-ness and animal saving!

Our friend Luis Dubuc from The Secret Handshake was at the Dallas TOC show and he signed the petition as well.

Well that's it for now from us on the Taste of Chaos Tour. Come out to the show when it rolls into your town and don't forget to sign our petition and say hi. Keep animals in your hearts and minds!
Keep rockin'!

Hey there!
Your loyal peta2 road crew is reporting to you once again from Taste of Chaos. We started this week rocking St. Louis and getting the word out of how the factory farming industry is the number one contributor to global warming. For instance, did you know that raising animals for food causes more pollution than all the trains, cars, ships, planes, trucks and SUV's combined? You should pop on over to our Meat's Not Green site to read up on more ways our planet is being effected by this business and how you can help to stop it. Pst—the best way is to go veg!

The second part of our week was spent at the University of Illinois as we helped them in their attempt to green their dining halls. A few of the students at the college are taking major steps in order to help not just the planet but animals as well. By adding more vegetarian and vegan meal items to their cafe menus, colleges could lessen their environmental footprint as they provide their student body with yummy veg food. It's a win win for all! Do better vegetarian options at your school sound like a dream? We can help make it reality!
After assisting the students at UI, we came back to the Taste of Chaos tour to show Fort Lauderdale how saving the planet involves saving animals as well. Despite on and off rain showers, saving animals wasn't an idea that had washed away from the hearts and minds of the crowd in Florida. So keep coming to the Taste of Chaos shows to save our environment and the animals that live in it. We're coming for you Georgia and Texas so get ready!

That's it for us at the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour. Check the upcoming tour dates to see when we'll be in your town. Come out to say hi and stop by our table to sign our petition. We look forward to meeting you all!
Keep rockin'!

Do YOU Want To Tour?! March 17, 2009

My name is Cody and I am the Youth Outreach Coordinator for peta2. Before I landed the job that I have now I was a tour contractor for a little over a year, which was one of the best experiences that I've ever had! I have been on tours including the Taste of Chaos tours in 2007 and 2008, Hellogoodbye, the Van's Warped Tour, the peta2 Not Nugget Tour featuring Silverstein, the Get A Life Tour (The Used) and more.
On top of the touring that I've done, I had the opportunity to table a few hip-hop events (one had Lil Wayne, The Game, Ice Cube and Chris Brown), a number of college conventions, music festivals, and more. As you can see, I was able to travel all over the US and Canada, eat some amazing vegan food, and most importantly, speak up for animals.
If you're ready to travel and help animals by getting animal rights info to people and having them sign peta2 petitions, then I highly encourage you to apply!

Click here for instructions on applying. You must be a careful driver with a valid U.S. driver's license and at least three years' clean driving record. And you have to be at least 21 or older. If you're not old enough to tour, don't fret! We have the Street Team for you!

We're reporting again from the road as we just finished another week on the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour. This week we've been through such great cities as NYC, Philadelphia and Baltimore. We're out on this tour spreading the word about the damage factory farming is doing to our planet. Did you know 70% of the leveled rain forest in the Amazon is used to raise animals for meat consumption? You can check out more facts like these and find out ways to help by going here. And guess what? The best way to save our planet is to go veg. Need help finding out how to do that too? Just hop over here to find some delicious recipes!

We're always finding new friends and running into old ones being on the peta2 Road Crew, and this week was no exception. In Sayreville, NJ, we found a friend wearing one of our "Powered By Tofu" shirts AND she signed our "Meat's Not Green" petition. Rad!

Our good friend, and veteran Road Warrior, Susie B, came out to lend us a hand in Columbus, OH. It was nice to see her again and to get some help reaching out to people about how massively raising animals for food is affecting our environment. Check out Pat, John, Susie, and Heather:

Also, one of our friends in Four Year Strong, Josh, took some time to stop by our table and sign the petition in Cleveland, OH. Notice that he's also sporting one of our stylish "Vegetarian" hoodies!

That's all for us right now, but check out when the Taste of Chaos tour is coming to your town on our MySpace page and make sure you stop by our table to say hello and sign our petition. Take care of each other ... and animals!
Keep rockin'!

Hello readers!
Your hard working peta2 touring crew is still rocking on the road with the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour. This week we traveled to Cincinnati, Worcester, and Hartford, among others, spreading the word about the dangerous effect factory farming is having on our planet. Did you know that over 50% of the water consumed in the U.S. is consumed by animals raised on these factory farms? To find out more facts and how you can help stop the damage, check out "Meat's Not Green" now.

While the tour was in Providence, a snow storm hit, which resulted in a cancelled show. We took the opportunity to have some delicious vegan food at Julian's Providence and later on we got some incredible vegan pizza at Nice Slice. To find out where the closest outstanding vegan restaurant is to you just pop over to HappyCow or to get some mouth watering vegan recipes to make on your snow day, slide on over here.

We've had a busy week, but much more is still to come from us and Taste of Chaos. This coming week we'll be hitting up New York City, Philadelphia, and Louisville among many other cities. Remember to jump over to our MySpace page to check out when we'll be rolling through your city. While you're at the show make sure to find our table, sign our petition and learn more about saving our planet and our animal friends. Until next time ...
Keep animals in your minds and hearts!

Hello readers!
It's your dedicated peta2 Road Crew checking in after another week on the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour. After spending a week out West, we have begun our journey back to the East, stopping in such incredible cities as Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and Milwaukee.
We are on TOC this year to inform as many people as possible about factory farming and its effects on our planet. For instance, did you know that 75% of the rainforests that are cleared are for raising cattle? That's pretty crazy, eh?! Well you can find out more facts like these and ways that you can help make this common knowledge by heading over to the "Meat's Not Green" section of our website.

We've come across a lot of enthusiastic support during this tour. The guy below was very thrilled to see us in Milwaukee. He wore his "Not A Nugget" shirt not even knowing we were going to be at the TOC show that night. Boy was he surprised!

We also had some incredible Street Team help in Tucson, AZ. Our devoted Street Teamers traveled two hours to lend their efforts to get the word out about the environment and how raising animals for food is destroying it. Kudos Devin and Emily, your work and commitment was much appreciated! Join the Street Team to have the opportunity to rock your city with us the next time we're there.

That's it for us from the road for now. Come out to the TOC show in your town (you can find the dates on our MySpace page) and stop by to say hi and sign our "Meat's Not Green" petition. As always, keep animals in your hearts and minds.
Keep rockin'!

We've met some awesome kids so far on this tour and we look forward to meeting many more! So make sure to come out and say hi and sign our "Meat's Not Green" petition.

Throughout the first few dates of the tour, we've of course made time to hit up delicious vegan restaurants in California. For instance, we went to Native Foods in Los Angeles for some yummy vegan nachos and vegan chicken sandwiches.

Well that's it for us for now. Come see us at your hometown's TOC show (check out the dates on our MySpace page)! Keep loving and caring for animals!
Until next time ...

Hey there readers!
It's your loyal peta2 Road Warriors checking in from—you guessed it—THE ROAD! We left this past Friday night from peta2 HQ in Norfolk, VA, to head to Southern California. The first date of the Rockstar Taste Of Chaos Tour is on Saturday, February 14, in Los Angeles. All 6 of us are caravanning in our "Meat's Not Green" branded RV and "Meat's Not Green" branded minivan, getting to see this beautiful country of ours—which unfortunately is being destroyed by the disastrous factory farming industry. Head over to the Meat's Not Green section of peta2 to find out more information and how you can help out.

On Saturday, we stopped in DC to table at the Junior Statesmen of America conference. We talked to high school students from various states about our Meat's Not Green campaign and informed them of how to get involved. The students were intrigued to hear that over 50% of the water used in the U.S. is used for animals in factory farms. The students that saw our "Meet Your Meat" video were very astounded by its contents and the information in it.

During this trip, we've also stopped at various delicious vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants including City, O' City in Denver. We got some scrumptious vegan wings, pizza and wraps.

This is where we leave you for now, but make sure to get acquainted with the newest members of the crew. Look for us at Taste of Chaos when it's in your town. Keep animals in your hearts and minds.
Until next time ... keep rockin'!

Music UK Taste of Chaos green We Are Fiction
If a zombie came near you, how would you react? Well, my reaction was: "Millie (our amazing Street Teamer at the gig), go get him to sign the Meat's Not Green petition!" We were fooled and it was a kind person dressed up as a zombie—pretty weak, but a somewhat brilliant costume.

With the 'dead' rising, we had some very lively action hitting the stages of Taste Of Chaos UK. We Are Fiction are a local band that played on one of the gigs and isn't it weird how their name relates to zombies? Ryan doesn't look like a fictional character so don't mess with him, or he might make the dead rise—there is no guarantee.

If you're in a band like We Are Fiction—any genre—and want to work with peta2, shoot us an e-mail!
With Taste Of Chaos in the UK coming to an end, all the zombies are now back to doing whatever it is they do...and we're continuing with hitting the streets! If you want to help, be sure to sign up to the Street Team and set up a table at your local gig or have people sign the Meat's Not Green petition in a queue at a gig!
Toodles.
