Here's a special guest blog from Martin with peta2 UK.
We are now coming into the festival season over here in the UK and we will be out on the road at some of the UK's biggest, like NASS, Glastonbury, Wakestock, T in the Park and Rip Curl Boardmasters.
I'm really excited about all the shows this summer and I am just as happy about the kids who are coming along with me. I'm really lucky to have some wicked people here who are going to be hammering the festivals and rocking out at the same time. I guess now would be a good time to introduce you to the first of the peta2 UK outreach team so you know to stop him and say hey (check out the fake leather jacket!!).

1. How did you get active in animal rights?
Through peta2's website. I signed up to the Street Team after a friend telling me they organize demos and I wanted to get involved. I got an email a few days later to table at Taste of Chaos in Portsmouth and Newport.
2. Why did you become vegan/vegetarian?
I think eating animals is ridiculous. It just doesn't make sense to me. How can I justify the exploitation of another species so I can eat? I am working my way up to veganism for September when I move out. My mum refuses to cook vegan for me while I'm at home.
3. Tell us a useless fact about yourself.
I'm scared of dogs and spiders. I also can't hold small animals like rabbits without being totally freaked out that ill do something wrong and hurt them.
4. Favorite bands?
Glassjaw, Russian Circles, Converge, 65daysofstatic, Norma Jean, Between the Buried and Me, Gay for Johnny Depp, Run DMC.
5. What's your most prized possesion?
My guitar. It cost me far too much money, and it's totally been ruined by touring in the worst guitar case ever with my band fwd. Analogue, but it's still beautiful.
6. Favorite place to eat?
Easily Redveg. I think that was the greatest idea ever conceived by man.
7. If you were a super hero who would you be?
What do you mean if? I'm not at liberty to disclose that information. (I'm guessing that's Wonder Woman then: ED)
