Hopefully, you guys are all on Twitter by now, right? I'll admit, I wasn't that big of a fan—until I realized how easy it was to spread the animal rights message on the site. It may also have to do with the fact that the Twitter logo is freaking a-dorable!
Anyway, our latest one minute mission is tweet-related, couldn't you guess? peta2 just released our brand new "Glass Walls" video, which is an updated version of the classic "Meet Your Meat" that has changed so many lives (including mine!) since it came out. "Glass Walls" has been updated to include information on the cruelty of eating fish, and information on how horrible eating meat is for the environment. It's narrated by famous animal rights advocate and musician Paul McCartney, and even has a 3-D version available. We want (and the animals need) everyone to see it—and that's where you come in!
- First, follow peta2 on Twitter. Our page is here. Easy, right? We'll give you 500 points just for that!
- Next, tweet about "Glass Walls", which everyone can check out at www.meat.org! Send us a screenshot of your tweet, and we'll give you an additional 500 Street Team points!
Happy tweeting!
One Minute Mission: Why Do You Love peta2? September 21, 2009
Posted by Rachel-O at September 21, 2009 4:08 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 146 ) | TrackBackWhy do you love peta2? It could be Hug a Vegetarian Day, Nugget, seeing us on Warped Tour, or because Meet Your Meat changed your life. It could also be just because our stickers are so effing adorable—we know, that's probably it!
Anyway, if you're on Facebook, you might've noticed the new tagging feature for your status updates and you probably know what we're thinking—another easy way to let all of your friends know about peta2 and animal rights!
Your new peta2 Minute Mission is to tag peta2 in your Facebook status and let everyone know why you love peta2! Obviously, you want to work some animal rights magic into this by sharing a Hug a Vegetarian Day link if that's your reason, or giving your friends a bit of information about animals that they may not know. For example: I <3 @peta2.com because my body is not a graveyard!
Remember, when typing your status update, make sure to type the "@" symbol, and a box will pop up for you to find peta2.com in—it's easy, quick, and will get your friends talking about animal rights. Copy and paste your status update and send it to us at StreetTeam@peta2.com and we'll give you 500 points just for tagging peta2!

We know how much you all love the minute missions, and who wouldn't? They only take a minute, they help animals, and they earn you points in the process!
That's why we've got a brand-new minute mission for you! All you need to do is share the just-released undercover video that shows Ringling Bros. workers beating and whipping elephants and tigers. It's a great way to spread the word that there is nothing entertaining about the cruel ways animals in the circus are treated. Many people are changed forever after watching an undercover investigation (I definitely was). Challenge your friends and family to watch the video—I'll bet that they'll never want to visit the circus after seeing the footage!
Here are some ways you can help:
1) Embed the video on your MySpace page with the code below:
If you haven't seen the video, please check it out below:
Visit RinglingBeatsAnimals.com
2) Download the video here and then upload it to your Facebook! Once it's downloaded, go to your status box, click the picture of the video camera, and follow the prompts. You can also upload it to your YouTube account!
Be sure to e-mail us at StreetTeam@peta2.com and let us know the reactions you got and please include a link to your page. You'll earn 500 points for each place that you shared the video!
For the animals,
Liz
