Well, if you attend one of peta2's Most Vegetarian-Friendly Colleges it will!

That's right, ladies and gents. After months of deliberations, we have finally released our 2008 nominees. Say it with me now: "Ooooohhhh....Aaahhhhh...."

Sure, I could just list off all of the amazing vegetarian and vegan options available in school dining halls across the nation (*cough* vegan chili cheese fries, Hawaiian veggie BBQ riblets, vegan enchiladas, vegan brownies *cough*), but I've found that pictures work sooo much better:

peta2 Celebrates the Most Vegetarian-Friendly Colleges! December 5, 2007

Hooray! Cellllllebrate good times, come on!

So what is the cause of the celebration this time? Why, it's the winners of our "Most Vegetarian-Friendly Colleges" contest of course!

After over 10,000 people came to our website to vote for the schools they felt had gone above and beyond to meet the needs of students looking for delicious vegetarian and vegan options, the winners have finally been announced!

Coming in at #1 in the U.S. was Northwestern University in Chicago, and #1 in Canada was the University of Toronto. Make sure to check out the complete list of the Top 10 schools HERE!

As the winners, both schools earned an on-campus celebration, hosted by yours truly, to present them with their certificates and allow students to sample some of the delicious cuisine (we're talkin' veggie BBQ "riblets", vegan pancakes...you know, the good stuff)!

I know, it's not fair that I get to enjoy all of this delicious vegan food, while you have to sit and read about it. That's why I made this amazing new technology that allows you to smell the same amazing dishes that I get to eat! It's true! Just put your face up against the computer screen and smell these delicious vegan blueberry pancakes... **NOTE: peta2 is not responsible for any noses broken by slamming them against the computer screen at a high velocity.




Mmmm...smells like victory.
