Gung Hay Fat Choy! February 7, 2008
Posted by Marta at February 7, 2008 5:02 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 3 ) | TrackBackOn the Western calendar, today marks the first day of Chinese New Year, and guess what? It's the Year of the Rat!
Each year, countless rats are experimented on in cruel, ridiculous experiments, like for Mars candy. So to honor all of our little friends, please watch "Testing...One, Two, Three" below, and then pledge to buy only cruelty-free products.
So, Gung Hay Fat Choy (that's "may prosperity be with you" in Cantonese, FYI)!

PS - If you haven't yet, enter to win some sweet cruelty-free lip balm!

Vegan peta2 vegetarian animal rights New Years resolution
2008? Already? Where does the time go?
New Years is particularly exciting for me because Jan. 1st was actually the day I decided to go vegan (3 years ago now). I had already been a vegetarian for about 6 months at that point, and I couldn't think of a single reason not to give veganism a whirl. To me, it just made sense.
Trust me, if the lazy and shaggy slacker I was in 2004 could do it, anybody can. :)

Of course, it's our job at peta2 to make your transitions as easy as vegan pie. That's why we've set up a whole New Years resolution page to get you started. Whether you're hoping to go vegetarian, vegan, only buy cruelty-free products, or simply want to spend more time with your companion animals, we're here to help you every step of the way!
So click HERE (or on the image below) to confirm your New Years resolution before time runs out!

- Ryan!
P.S. - For those of you who are curious what my New Years resolution will be this year, I am going to spending more time with my adopted bunny, Bambi (Yup, even my bunny is on MySpace. The future is now, folks.)
