peta2 Has a New Sugar Daddy! November 12, 2008

Posted by Ashleigh at November 12, 2008 12:27 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 0 ) | TrackBack

That's right boys and girls. The celebrity gossip blog popbytes, with their deliciously icky motto, "When culture pops, I wipe it up . . .", has teamed up with our friends over at Neighborhoodies for their new Think Ups project. This is how it goes down: the Neighborhoodies crew chooses one super awesome person a week and asks them to come up with seven days worth of pop culture t-shirt ideas.

This week it is popbytes' turn! Check out Monday and Tuesday. What's the best part about this partnership? A portion of the proceeds from the shirts designed by popbytes goes directly to PETA!

That means you can rock this shirt (like this dude) and know that your stylish self just saved some animals. Sweet!

Danger Radio Contest! April 10, 2008

Posted by Nicole at April 10, 2008 3:50 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 8 ) | TrackBack

Guess who's giving away an adorable tee for your perfect little pooch? Well, it's Danger Radio, Neighborhoodies, Viva La Rock, and peta2 but of course! Read on to see Danger Radio's singer and animal lover, Andrew, gush over his five, yes that's right, FIVE dogs! Then be sure to comment below to win a free tee for your favorite four-legged friend, courtesy of our pals over at Neighborhoodies! Take it away, Andrew:

What's new and exciting for Danger Radio?

Well we just finished recording our album and it should be dropping into stores this summer! We have a ton of amazing tours lined up with some of our really good friends. So we are all really excited for that and that's about it for now. It's just amazing though to finally see things happening. We have been a band for years now and are finally putting out our first album. It's a freakin' dream come true.

Do you have any companion animals? If so, what are their names and tell me some cute/funny stories about them!

Haha I have 5 dogs! That probably sounds really absurd, but what happened was when my sister and I were a little younger (more like just 3 years ago or so) we randomly found 4 dogs (puppies). All in different places, a few months apart from each other and just had to take them home. One of them our friend actually found at a house while driving to our home and saw these kids chasing this poor 4 month old puppy around with a stick and she just felt the need to take it away from them and brought it over. I don't really know what my parents were thinking when they kept saying yes, but they just couldn't turn any of them away. It's totally fine though because those dogs get more attention than my sister and I do. Their names are: Bella, Hunter, Buddy, Ari, and Galla. Buddy is the one we have had the longest...and when I'm at home he comes up to my room and sleeps in bed with me every night until I fall asleep because he knows I am kind of scared of sleeping by myself. Then he leaves after I pass out.

What do you think about people who leave their dogs chained up in the backyard 24/7?

I think that is cruel. Would you do that to your children? Haha I don't know. If you can't handle how needy your dog is, then you shouldn't have one. I never really had any pets growing up and then in the last 4 years we got a little more than we ever expected to have. And they are definitely a blessing and have added so much happiness to our lives, but they are a whole lot of work. They need a lot of attention and love and I definitely don't think they should be chained up and left alone outside 24/7.

Why do you think it's important to speak up for something that you believe in?

It's always important to speak your mind and tell people your opinion on things. If you don't say it, there is a good chance no one else will. If everyone just held back and never spoke out about anything, think about how different the world would be today.

Thanks so much, Andrew!!

Now don't forget to comment below for your chance to win! Tell me who the lucky recipient would be if you won the very fashionable doggie tee from Neighborhoodies and you just might win it!

Contest ends May 1 and the lucky winner will be notified by May 8.
