I love Forever 21!! And now I love them even more =)
I already get a newsletter from them and I got really excited when I saw that they were using faux. It's so awesome. Woot!!
I think it is GREAT that Forever 21 is publicizing "faux" as fantastic....however I think it is also important to make sure they are using materials that are as non-toxic and sustainable as possible. I know Matt & Nat, a company from Montreal, makes a wonderful line of eco-friendly faux leather bags. Their price point is much higher than that of Forever 21, so I worry that in order to keep the cost of materials used by Forever low, they are using cheap, synthetic options.
The first Forever 21 recently opened in my city, and I had made the decision I was NOT going to shop there because, as somewhat of an environmental activist, I prefer quality over quantity (as I believe we all should). We need to move away from a "disposable" culture to one in which we have fewer, good-quality things.
i hope they r not real fur!

The only problem now is where and how they make their faux fur and leather. You really can't win.
