If anything I would like to give Ingrid Newkirk 100% effort on getting everyone I know to go veg. Right now(even though it's summer) I have no time, nor the means of transportation or guts, if you could say, to do everything I can. I've switched to cruelty free prodcts and I am veg myself, but I feel I can do much more and feel like I owe her at least that much for showing me the truth. For changing my lifestyle and opening my eyes to a completely new way of life that is healthier, more humae, and just all around better.
I would give Ingrid a day's worth of pampering because she does so much to care for the animals that she deserves a day off to relax and be cared for herself.
For her birthday I wish I could stop all animal cruelty around the world. Stop the cruel meat industry and the animal testing and circuses and everything else. I wish I could do that.
Well, firstly, I would make her a vegan birthay cake.
Then, I'd write her a letter telling her how much happier and healthier I've been since I first went veg. I would also write down what I think animals would tell her if they could talk. I'm sure they'd be grateful, and she deserves to know that.
I would give her a super hero!!
Who could save and protect animals from mean humans, who abuse them! And help her with other things. Like, clean her house. ;)
Happy birthday! I would give her a (vegan) cupcake. I like to bake cupcakes to give to my friends on their birthdays. Last week I bought sweet little candles to put on it. Aww. ^^
I would Ingrid my heart! Literally, my actual heart! Yes, it's pretty gross but I devote my life to Ingrid! She has been my role model for many years! She has changed life as we know it.
I would give the gift of everybody in the world going vegan and cruelty free. I'm sure she'd love just anything PETA2 supporters would give her, but I really think the biggest thing she really wants is for everybody to be vegan and not abuse and neglect the way people do in this world. Happy birthday! =D
It'd be amazing to have this! helping animals is amazing. i just kinda finished watching the peta videos on my WOOF! dvd. it was horrible what those people do to animals. IT'S NOT RIGHT TO DROP A BRICK ON A ANIMAL OR STEP ON IT! OR JUST LAUGH AT IT! it's disgusting i literally cried. it was horrible. this would be awesome. i'd love to read it. i'd read it over and over again.
Happy Birthday Ingrid!! First off, I don't know what I would be doing if I wasn't having a great time being vegan and handing out pamphlets and chalking my school. So, thank for making such an accessible space in which to ask questions and get information on being veg and helping animals and the environment. For Ingrid's Birthday I would give her one of my vegan cupcakes that are currently baking right now with a note attached that just says 'Thank You'
Umm, this is a hard question. ... If I was to give Ingrid anything in the world for her birthday, it would be to destroy all animal aabuse in every form. But, because that is nearly impossible, I'd give her a hug and a thank-you for everything she has done and to tell her to keep persuing animal rights because she is an insperation for me and many othe people!
Emily (EmVeg)
P.S. Is there anyway I can e-mail her?I want to send her a thank-you/happy birthday card thing.
sounds like a really good book which i'll probably try and buy anyway if i don't win, i hope it's available in the UK.
i would like to give ingrid a pair of vegan shoes! i have a pair myself from beyond skin, they're great, a girl can never have too many shoes, especially vegan ones!
When I want to give someone a present, I usually opt to give them something hand-made. I love to craft, and I like to show people who mean a lot to me how important they are by spending time actually creating something for them. The time and the thought makes the present infinitely more special.
I'd probably knit Ingrid something. Of course, it would be in a vegan yarn like bamboo, cotton, or soy!
I already did give her a present, i adopted a goat in her honor that a friend was going to send to a slaughter house because he couldnt take care of her anymore. If i could give her anything though, i would give her a trip to Surrey, England where she was born.
I would give her a very very big hug for starting this wonderful organization known as PeTA! I would also give her a giant remote control that has the power to turn the whole world veg! It can also prepare veg meals with the push of a button. The remote can also save abused animals from their owners, send animals that are going to be slaughtered to sanctuaries, destroy all fur coats and the industries that create them along with leather industries, free animals from animal tests, end all circuses, free all zoo animals, and end the need for animals in entertainment. Oh and it can also enlighten people that animals have rights too. Happy Birthday Ingrid! I really hope this book will bring us a step closer to animal liberation.
If I could give Ingrid anything, I would make a donation to PETA in her name, paint a quote of hers on our animal shelter's wall, and of course, send her a recognition letter and make her a plaque. Which I plan to do by the end of this year.
Happy belated birthday Ingrid! May the animal rights gods shine upon you and give you many more!!! :D
I've met Ingrid when she was in town for a book tour and she's the sweetest, most caring person! If I could give her a birthday present I would magically stop all the cruelty to animals all over the world! I'm certain that this is what she would like most of all!
I would simply give her a hug.
She's worked so hard, I think the best gift she can get would be to know that her hard work and efforts are admired, appreciated, and are paying off. And they are.
a gardening set and seeds to keep the earth growing, a $1oo dollar donation to peta to help save those beautiful creatures, a hybrid car to keep earth clean and a years supply of veggies and fruits to keep our vegan selves happy
