Omg... this sends no message whats so ever... Skimmpy clothes does not equal animal rights... can you honestly think that people would actually take this serious? If PETA really wants to do something..they need to get off their ass, stop just bitching about a cause and take some action that will actaully make a change...cause it's deffinatly not gonna get anything with this..
It gets people's attention to a very serious issue. We use a variety of tactics to reach people, this is just one of many. And to answer your question, I can without a doubt tell you that people take the issues very seriously after learning what happens through the information we get out with these demonstrations.
You didn't mention a single alternative way to reach people. It's easy to complain, but what would you like to see instead?
Objecting to sexist imagery used in a campaign doesn't make me a prude. Don't equate anti-sexism with anti-sex. There's always something wrong with treating a woman's body as a commodity. It doesn't matter if the message is positive or not, it still contributes to sexism in our society. Where are the boys in hotpants and spandex? Missing? Yeah, I thought so.
i agree that objectifying womyn is lame...although the cause here is pretty damn good. the only solution is to have skimpily-clad guys and girls out there together.
Why so serious about fur PETA?
(No Pulin this is cornier. :P )

There's nothing wrong with being fun and sexy while spreading a positive message, Alex. Stop being a prude.
