HAHAHAHAHA! People are so stupid! Why would she put that (the F-U one) on her liscence plate? If it's really that big of a problem just change it to ILVSOY.
DUDE! I saw that on Fox News last night, thats a bunch of bull, but pretty funny what they thought about it. Its still not right they didn't let her.
:(
Wow, that's jokes.
All she wanted was a license plate saying I Love Tofu, and now it's found offensive. Geez...
I've seen a lot worse than I LV TO FU. Take license plates that have 666 on them. Tell me, how the F*** is THAT not offense? Yet I have seen a least 3 or 4 cars with 666 on them.
Give the woman her damn tofu!
honestly i see where the DMV is coming from. they have a lot of screened words and phrases for a reason. a friend of mine couldn't get a plate that said "punk rock" because "punk" was a screened word. It's annoying but serves a purpose. I agree with the other comment that said "ILVSOY"
it's inconvenient yes, but I can understand the DMV.
I think that this is totally ridiculous. Why is it that you cannot have ilvtofu but in florida you can get a tag that reads fukusa (fuk-usa)? We are trying to show that we vegg's are proud of our choices in life and that we pride ourselves on our outlooks and beliefs and we cannot have a simple tag, that we will be paying for, showing this? I think that this is total crap!!! I have a huge problem with this!!
All I can say is, it's their own fault for being pervs :D just remove the hyphen and let her have her darn license plate!
By the way "666" is not offensive. There is no reason why Satanists or people who happen to like the number have to take CHRISTIANS or other religions into consideration when they post their beliefs. That, my friend, is called "freedom of religion" :)
I just saw this reported on the FOX News Channel yesterday.

Maybe she can go for a witty way to bypass the supposedly dirtyness of it by rewriting it to be:
ILUVTOEFU
Either way if the lady explained its the food then I don't see whats wrong with it so hopefully she will get her vanity licenses plate. :)

that's f-ing hilarious! but there's standard license plates where the 3-letter part happens to say WTF, so what's wrong with this?

Posted by: Little_Lotte | April 9, 2009 5:30 PM

Posted by: Liz | April 9, 2009 6:19 PM

Posted by: Lottiee | April 12, 2009 12:35 PM
only someone with a dirty mind can read it out to say "i love to F*** you."
Posted by: Julie | April 13, 2009 8:59 AM
