Who Went To The Bamboozle? May 6, 2008

Posted by Pulin Modi at May 6, 2008 11:00 AM | TrackBack

Whoa! The Bamboozle over the weekend was so incredible and tiring (in a good way) that I had to take yesterday off to recover. I was totally exhausted. If you went, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Our tent was the place to be with thousands of people signing our petition, bands stopping in to say hello, and lots of free stuff for everyone.

What was your favorite part if you went to The Bamboozle? And if you didn't go, how was your weekend?

Here are some of my favorite photos from the weekend.

You all really love Matthew Lush, don't you?

We met so many amazing Street Teamers. It was bonkers.

My friend put on the head from our rabbit costume, took off his shirt, and ran on stage.

Thanks to everyone on the Street Team for stopping by, and make sure you check out the Fur Is Dead campaign page to keep up the campaign to get 100,000 Strong Against Fur!

Apparently I Am A Rising Star April 21, 2008

Posted by Pulin Modi at April 21, 2008 12:35 PM | TrackBack

Hi peeps. I just got back from a whole week out of the office in California. It was lots of fun. At Yosemite National Park, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the park grocery store has soy milk and rice milk, vegan cookies, vegan yogurt, vegan ice cream, vegan cream cheese, all sorts of frozen vegan meals, and more! It's a sure sign that all the hard work we're doing is creating a demand for these healthier, more humane options!

Also, my bro has a new movie out this week so I went to Leno and a fancy premiere, plus the set of that show House and all that with the family. I also checked out the John Steinbeck museum in Salinas (he's one of my favorite authors), hung out with John Feldmann of Goldfinger and met up with Matthew Lush. Of course, I ate amazing food everywhere I went including Real Food Daily and Vegan Plate in Los Angeles. There was also an awesome coffee shop near Sequoia National Park where I had this incredible tofu scrambler for breakfast.

So that's that and now I'm back in lovely Norfolk, Virginia, where we're based. It's really a great place to work. I recently did an interview for a site called Experience.com for their "Rising Stars" section. It's all about how I got interested in working for peta2 and what I do, so check it out here and remember to check out peta2.com/jobs for opportunities to come here and work for animal rights!

Take care!

P.S.- Have you seen this yet?

Bamboozle Left - What a Weekend! April 10, 2008

Posted by Marta at April 10, 2008 11:11 AM | TrackBack

If you were at Bamboozle Left this weekend, hopefully you were one of the thousands of people that checked out the peta2 booth and signed our Fur is Dead petition. If you didn't get the chance, or missed Bamboozle Left, make sure you sign the petition online here.

We also had some of the lovely Skelanimals models come by our booth in support of the campaign and helped us draw attention to the cruelties that go on in the fur industry. A big Thank You to Mathew Lush, Audrey Kitching, Linda Strawberry, Forbidden, Aldo, Anita K, and Davey Suicide for coming out and supporting a good cause!

We also had Fred Mascherino from The Color Fred and formerly of Taking Back Sunday stop by our booth and do an autograph signing, so big thanks to Fred, too.

If you're on the East Coast, make sure you come see us at Bamboozle in NJ on May 3rd and 4th. See you soon!

-Paul
