We'll Pay You to Hang Out With Us August 31, 2009

Posted by Ryan at August 31, 2009 4:30 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 10 ) | TrackBack

I'm often asked—how did you get involved in peta2? What was the first step?

I've spent many an hour trying to come up with a heroic story, talking about my triumphant rise, overcoming incomparable obstacles to become the Herculean animal activist I am today—but that would be a lie.

The truth is that I started like so many others did—as a peta2 intern!

The PETA internship program is a unique program, allowing young people to travel around the country, participate in attention-grabbing demonstrations, work on special projects with our legendary staff, and really hone your activist skills.

What else do you get?

  • $75/week of spending money
  • School credit
  • Free (delicious) vegan lunches
  • The opportunity to hang out with Pulin
Yes, it's the good life. So what are you waiting for? You can do it! Heck, they let this dude in ...

Do YOU Want To Tour?! March 17, 2009

Posted by Cody Ammerman at March 17, 2009 4:26 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 3 ) | TrackBack

Howdy to all!

My name is Cody and I am the Youth Outreach Coordinator for peta2. Before I landed the job that I have now I was a tour contractor for a little over a year, which was one of the best experiences that I've ever had! I have been on tours including the Taste of Chaos tours in 2007 and 2008, Hellogoodbye, the Van's Warped Tour, the peta2 Not Nugget Tour featuring Silverstein, the Get A Life Tour (The Used) and more.

On top of the touring that I've done, I had the opportunity to table a few hip-hop events (one had Lil Wayne, The Game, Ice Cube and Chris Brown), a number of college conventions, music festivals, and more. As you can see, I was able to travel all over the US and Canada, eat some amazing vegan food, and most importantly, speak up for animals.

If you're ready to travel and help animals by getting animal rights info to people and having them sign peta2 petitions, then I highly encourage you to apply!

Click here for instructions on applying. You must be a careful driver with a valid U.S. driver's license and at least three years' clean driving record. And you have to be at least 21 or older. If you're not old enough to tour, don't fret! We have the Street Team for you!

-Cody

Get a Job! December 7, 2007

Posted by Marta at December 7, 2007 12:32 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 2 ) | TrackBack

We always love when people yell at us to 'Get a Job!' The funny thing is we LOVE our jobs and we have tons of fun while we work. We travel the country, gobble all the great food, go to awesome shows, and help animals. Check out some of these pictures to see what we do.

I mean, how many jobs can you say you get to balance a table on your hand and not get yelled at by your supervisor? Sorry, Caleb.

If you would like to join us make sure you check out this page and find out how.

Well, the holidays are coming up soon, so make sure you send an e-mail to all your family and friends and let them know they can find some great animal-free foods to cook here. I know I sent it to my family and it worked—they said they would make some vegan food for me when I go home. Yyeeaaaaaahhh!

- Paul & Cody (The Hammer)
