dogs Contest win free Valentines Day House of Dog
It's Valentine's Day! If you don't have a sweetheart on this day of love, maybe you aren't looking hard enough! Just lower your gaze a bit, and you will see someone looking up at you ready to cover you in sloppy kisses.

Who says your dog can't be your Valentine? In fact, it might even be preferable! You don't have to take them out to an expensive dinner, they have no use for flowers, and chocolate is definitely OUT! All you have to do is smother them with love. Sounds good to me!
Since your doggy companion offers you unconditional love throughout the entire year, give something back to them this Valentine's Day! One thing you can do is enter to win a doggy prize pack from House of Dog! The prize pack includes Heart Toys, a Red Bones and Sprinkles leash, and a White Paw Bowl.
All you have to do for a chance to win is leave a comment below with the reason why your dog is your Valentine. The best answer wins! *One winner will be picked by 2/21 and notified by 2/28.

win free Mars Animal Testing candy Valentine's Day TGIF Free Stuff
TGIF my friends! I have a super sweet giveaway today . . .
Hopefully by now you have all told Mars Inc. to drop deadly animal tests. If not, then get to it! Everyone deserves a sweet Valentine's Day, especially the poor animals that are forced to undergo Mars' cruel tests.
Check out the new web banner we made for Mars and Valentine's Day and put it on your page:

Now, what to do about Valentine's Day treats? Snickers, Twix, Mars Bars, M&Ms, Skittles, and Starburst are all OUT (because they are made by Mars), so what should you get your human honey? Well, a lot of companies have pledged not to fund or conduct experiments on animals (like Hershey's). Look here for a list of vegan candy. Yum!

Looking for something a little more . . .free? I have you covered. We've teamed up with Pangea to give you an AMAZING gift-basket filled with cruelty-free vegan treats!
Looks delicious! I want my Valentine to give me one of these (hint hint).
What do you have to do to win, you ask? Comment below with how you are going to celebrate your V-day cruelty-free! And get going, this contest ends in exactly one week (February 15, 2008) and winners will be chosen and notified by February 22, 2008.

It's FREE STUFF Friday!!! February 1, 2008
Posted by Lara Sanders at February 1, 2008 12:44 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 89 ) | TrackBackDoes anyone remember TGIF? Well, it was just about the coolest thing you could do on a Friday night in the early 90's. I mean, Full House and Family Matters! It really doesn't get any better than that!
Before you stop reading this blog because you think I'm old (the 90's wasn't that long ago!), I want to introduce to you a brand new meaning to the phrase TGIF. You can now "Thank God It's Friday" because peta2 has dubbed this day of the week as FREE STUFF Friday!
That's right, every Friday peta2 will be giving something away to you lucky ducks. It could be a t-shirt, vegan treats, or a sweet cookbook...you'll just have to wait to find out what it will be!
This week, Couch Straps has teamed up with peta2 to give two winners a vegan Guitar Hero/Rock Band Strap!
All you have to do to win is comment below with one reason why you shouldn't wear leather. This contest ends on February 8, 2008, and winners will be chosen and notified by February 15, 2008.

Win a Fancy "I Am Not a Nugget" Tank! January 23, 2008
Posted by Ashleigh at January 23, 2008 4:35 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 119 ) | TrackBack
Calling all you fashion-forward animal-loving ladies! We're giving away three of our fabulous "I Am Not a Nugget" tank tops!

Chickens make up more than 96% of all land animals raised for food, yet they are NOT protected under the Humane Slaughter Act—which means that many chickens have their throats slit while they are still conscious and some are scalded to death in defeathering tanks (Take a look at our new KFC investigation for more info.).
Well guess what? Chickens are not nuggets, and neither are you! So stand proud and declare "I Am Not a Nugget" with one of our sweet tank tops!
And while you're at it, send this letter to government officials asking them to protect chickens under the Humane Slaughter Act.
To win, comment below with your tank size (S, M, L) and why chickens are NOT nuggets.
The contest ends on February 6, 2008, and winners will be chosen and notified by February 13, 2008.

KFC Facebook free Street Team Shirts
Hello to everyone, especially my tiny friends in the US. We want to give you some free shirts (I'll be honest, it's only for the US because these are free for you and we don't want to spend tons of money on shipping). And what are these shirts?
One is a long sleeve t-shirt youth medium (that's 10-12) and says peta.org on the front and "Beef: It's What's Rotting In Your Colon" on the back. The other is a crew neck sweatshirt also youth medium (10-12) which has a bunch of paw prints on the front for different animals who signed a petition that says "We, the undersigned, deplore and oppose the use of animals in laboratory experiments." Both are white shirts.
These things are seriously small and to prove my point about how tiny these shirts are, I've included a photo of some of my friends modeling them.

So now here's the deal. If you know these will fit you (or a little cousin or someone) and you want the shirts (we'll send you one of each for free while our supplies last), just email us at peta2@peta2.com with the following information:
Your first and last name:
Full mailing address (no PO boxes):
Your phone number (just in case we have a question):
That's it. And for those of you looking for either the latest designs from peta2 or sizes that actually do fit you, check our online store or the peta2 Cafe Press store.Since I guess this is technically a contest, you can read our privacy policy and contest terms and conditions if it makes you happy.
Ok last thing. We still need your help to try to win that $50,000 that Facebook is offering up so if you haven't yet donated to the Stop Kentucky Fried Cruelty cause, check it out. Our goal is to have 500 people donate to it.

tofu Contest win free Casey Calvert tofu robot robots The Cool Kids
What do you get when you combine two of my favorite things? Tofu Robots!
I don't know if all of you have been exposed to these wondrous creations (the late Casey Calvert was the one who turned me on to them), but they are awesome! He loved their block heads and "stupid" faces, and I have to say that I agree.

Aren't they so cool looking? And guess what? We're giving one away! To win, leave a comment telling me what kind of robot you would make out of your favorite vegan food items. Mine would be a Tofutti Cutie robot! Oh, and pictures will probably help you with the whole winning thing . . .
And don't forget to watch our tribute video for Casey and hear what he had to say about these lovely toys. I wish he could see what you all come up with to win this contest . . .
The contest ends on January 18, 2008, and winners will be chosen and notified by January 25, 2008.

And before I forget, have you guys checked out The Cool Kids yet? They are pretty sweet, and peta2 will be out on tour with them for a few shows, so go to their MySpace for more info and go check out the show if they play near you—you won't regret it!

Brooklyn Bunny Contest! December 27, 2007
Posted by Ashleigh at December 27, 2007 11:34 AM | Permalink | Comments ( 52 ) | TrackBackHave you heard of the Brooklyn Bunny? If not, have you been living under a rock?!?! Just Kidding! For all of you out there who are new to the phenomenon of the Brooklyn Bunny: meet Roebling.

Roebling is a Dwarf Hotot rabbit who was rescued by Kevin Dresser and Kate Johnson after his family decided to put him to sleep. Roebling entered the lives of Kevin and Kate after a former bunny companion passed away. The lonely pair was in the middle of opening a bunny sitting service (complete with webcams), but when Roebling entered their loft, they put the sitting service on hold because Roebling commanded the cameras!
So get to know Roebling, the tried and true Brooklyn Bunny. Not only does he live in a swanky 1,000 square foot loft in Brooklyn, feast on flown-in bunny meals, and have his own website, he is also named after the designer of the Brooklyn Bridge!
After you fall in love with Roebling, enter here to represent your favorite Brooklyn Bunny with a free shirt (your choice of short or long sleeves), some buttons, and a jumbo fridge magnet!

All you have to do for a chance to win is comment below about your favorite bunny (that is, your favorite before you met Roebling, cuz we know Roebling is your new favorite)!
The contest ends on January 3, 2008, and winners will be chosen and notified by January 10, 2008.

Contest win free Twinkies Vegan Honey Cinnabons gift certificate peanut butter cups cherry cheese danishes
A few weeks ago, I had a life changing moment—I happened upon an online vegan bakery that sells Twinkies. You heard me right...vegan Twinkies! Finding the veganized version of my favorite childhood treat is almost as great a discovery as Howard Carter finding King Tut's tomb (in my humble opinion).
The magical place that I found these creamed filled yellow cakes of vegan goodness is called Vegan Honey. Not only does Vegan Honey sell Fauxstess Twinkies, they also have Cinnamon Sticky Bombs, Cherry Cheese Danishes, Giant Peanut Butter Cups, and much more! Check out everything they have to offer here.
Here is what Vegan Honey owner, Kymberlie, has to say about her delicious creations:
"Raised on a small animal sanctuary, I became an animal activist and vegan at a super young age. I have always had a sweet tooth, and my cravings for yummy baked goods like Twinkies and Cinnabons was out of control! Finally, I took some flour, a bit of sugar and began to bake all the things I wanted to eat!"
So if you have a sweet tooth like me, I highly recommend that you take part in our contest to win a $40 gift certificate to Vegan Honey!
All you have to do for a chance to win is comment below naming your favorite vegan treat.
Simple right? The contest ends November 27th, and the winner will be chosen by November 30th.
xoxo-Lara
