We Need to Finnish Fur Farms July 8, 2008

Here's a special guest blog from Martin with peta2 UK.

We all know that fur is messed up and illegal to farm in the UK but clothing companies like Burberry still seem to feel like they have to drape their clothes with the corpses of dead animals.

We have a little bit of undercover filming that shows how animals that will eventually become coats, boots or trim are treated in fur farms in Finland (hence the witty title of this blog). Animals killed for their fur spend their entire short lives in tiny cages with wire floor, not being able to do any of the things that come naturally to them, only to be anally electrocuted, drowned, or beaten to death for fashion.

Watch the video for yourself.

How can you help to stop this from happening? Join the peta2 Street Team to get started.

Peace

-Martin
