Snowball Fight with Colonel Sanders and Sarah Palin? December 16, 2008
Posted by Rachel-O at December 16, 2008 3:47 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 5 ) | TrackBackI love December. This might be because my birthday's this month, but it's also because I love snow. Sadly, it doesn't snow much here in Norfolk, Virginia, so I have to do a bit more to get into Christmas cheer now that I don't live in Detroit where there's a blizzard almost every year. I'm not quite sure where to get a fake snow machine, and I've thought about creating a giant pile of vegan marshmallows to jump into, but it just isn't the same—and that may be a bit crazy (or delicious, hmm...).
Great news for me—and you, our new holiday snowball fight e-card combines two of my favorite things: snowball fights and fighting animal abusers, of course!

I think you guys can agree that there's probably no better way to introduce your friends and family to animal hating losers like Donna Karan, Sarah Palin, the Trollsen Twins, and Colonel Sanders than in an e-card where you to get to lob a snowball at their faces!
Make sure you're on the peta2 Street Team and you'll even get 500 points for forwarding this to your friends! We'll automatically credit your account in a few weeks—don't even worry about letting us know!
Comment below and let us know which animal abuser you're looking forward to fighting the most!

KFC Louisville grave tombstone Colonel Sanders Kentucky
One of the best things about working for PETA is that something surprises me on a daily basis. Like the time I walked into the restroom and saw a giant carrot washing her hands. Or the time I got to dress up as a giant Nugget.
The latest thing to surprise me was receiving an email from Pulin with a pic of my boyfriend's tombstone. Yep, you heard me right...my boyfriend's tombstone.
Here's the back story: PETA purchased the gravesite next to Colonel Sanders' in a cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky. We then put up a tombstone with Matt's name inscribed on it along with a poem.
What they didn't know was that the first letter of each line of the poem spelled out "KFC Tortures Birds"! That is until we painted it red...
Then the jig was up. We had to take the tombstone down, but not before PETA got a bunch of press about the grave, bringing attention to the cruel way KFC treats its chickens. All in all it was just another day at PETA.
xoxo-Lara
P.S. Matt is alive and well.
