Got a sweet tooth? Then you don't want to miss out on these Go Max Go candy bars. This brand new line of chocolate bars from Go Max Go are not only vegan, they're amazingly delicious too! And we've got THREE variety packs to give away this week. Each variety pack contains a Jokerz, Twilight, Mahalo, and Buccaneer candy bar.

Just so you know what kind of party-in-your-mouth you're in for ... The Jokerz bar is made up of layers of dry roasted peanuts, buttery-tasting caramel, and rich peanut nougat, wrapped in a delicious chocolaty coating. The Twilight "even more yummy than that Robert Pattinson guy" bar contains rich, fluffy, chocolaty nougat topped with a layer of thick, buttery-tasting caramel all wrapped up in a creamy, rice-milk chocolaty coating. The Buccaneer bar contains rich, fluffy, chocolaty nougat covered in a creamy chocolaty coating. And, my favorite (A.K.A the Mahalo bar), is a sweetened coconut candy bar topped with three whole dry roasted almonds and covered in a luscious chocolaty coating. Mmm Mmm Mmmmmm ...

For your chance to win this variety pack from Go Max Go, comment below with what your ultimate candy bar would consist of. Entries must be received by August 7. The three people with the most mouth-watering concoction will be chosen as our winners and notified by August 10.

Free Stuff Friday: Vegan Chocolate for Mom! April 25, 2008

Posted by Ashleigh at April 25, 2008 9:27 AM | Permalink | Comments ( 164 ) | TrackBack

Mother's Day is May 11th, and it's time to sing the praises of moms everywhere. Here are some facts about animal moms that are too amazing to keep to myself:

    animals2.jpg
  • Mother pigs have been known to sing to their piglets during feeding
  • Cow moms take turns babysitting for each other
  • Mama cows have been known to jump fences and travel for miles looking for their calf if they are separated
  • Fish moms use their mouths to hide their babies from harm
  • Elephant moms maintain constant touch with their children, never allowing them to stray too far
  • Chickens "talk" to their chicks before they hatch
One way to show your mom (and animal moms everywhere) some love this Mother's Day is to give her PETA's Mother's Day chocolate gift box!

mom%20day%20chocolates.jpg

This is some fine vegan Belgian chocolate: 4 sheets of nut chocolate (2 dark almond sheets, 1 vegan milk almond sheet, and 1 vegan milk pecan sheet), 6 assorted nut chocolate clusters, and 2 peanut butter cups—all topped off with another 21 mixed créme and solid chocolate pieces. This is seriously making my mouth water.

Want to give your mom one of these without paying a dime? One winner will be able to do just that! To win, comment below with why your animal-loving mom deserves this amazing gift!

This contest ends May 2, 2008 and the winner will be chosen and notified the same day!

PS - I really don't know how anyone could do this to animals when we know these remarkable things about them.

Chowed Down on a Bunny Lately? March 12, 2008

Posted by Marta at March 12, 2008 3:48 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 4 ) | TrackBack

I haven't snapped, I swear. I'm simply asking because Street Teamer Tiffany passed a sweet Web site along to me, and I wanted to share it with ya.

Easter is rapidly approaching, and people seem to think that since bunnies are the ultimate Easter symbol, they should run out and get every bunny in existence to give as gifts for the holiday. There are a few problems with this situation:

1.) There's a high demand for bunnies around Easter, so people breed more of them.
2.) People get bunnies without thinking about the huge commitment they are making by bringing an animal into their lives. Sadly, a lot of these bunnies get dumped at shelters a month later after the "novelty" wears off.
3.) Bunnies, just like cats and dogs, are part of the animal overpopulation crisis.

So what is the solution? Check out the Make Mine Chocolate campaign. It's all about making sure people know how big of a responsibility a rabbit is before bringing a bunny home. And that the perfect bunny to give someone for Easter is a chocolate one. No commitment and absolutely delicious!

Looking for a little vegan chocolate bunny goodness in your life? There's still a couple of days left in our contest, so "hop to it" if you want to get your hands on some chocolate for free. Or you can always buy your own chocolate bunnies from the PETA Catalog or VeganEssentials.com.

Mmm, will someone please get some chocolate in my stomach, ASAP? I will heart you forever. Thanks.

Marta

Free Stuff Friday: Chocolate Time! February 15, 2008

So it's the day after Valentine's Day, and if you're like me, you didn't exactly get what you wanted. But it's okay, because I have something even better!

I have been searching for a good chocolate peanut butter cup for ages. Luckily for me, Lara took a page out of How it All Vegan and made the best vegan peanut butter cups EVER. Seriously.

larapbcupreal.jpg

Now I want more (and I bet you want some too)! So instead of bugging Lara to make delicious vegan treats every day of the week, we've got a contest with Allison's Gourmet! Want to win vegan truffles, caramels, and peanut butter cups? I thought so!

They look so good! One of you can walk away with this prize! To win, tell me the one thing you thought you would never find vegan, but then did. Mine is marshmallow fluff, can we say Ricemellow Cream?

Don't dilly dally, this contest ends February 29, 2008 and the winner will be chosen and notified by March 7, 2008!
