Great Britain has so many things to be proud of (Morrissey, the timeless comedy of Monty Python, and international singing sensation Susan Boyle come to mind). But leave it to animal circuses to go and ruin Britain's otherwise sparkling reputation.

You see, our friends at Animal Defenders International (ADI) have just released a shocking new undercover investigation of the Great British Circus, which shows what we all already know. As animal rights group spokesperson Jan Creamer told The Sun newspaper, "This is not about one bad apple. This is about a culture of violence and confinement."

Couple this footage with the fact that Ringling Bros. is planning to visit the United Kingdom for the first time ever, and that's a lot of animal abusers for such a small region.

In response to this video, the circus released a statement, saying that "The Great British Circus does not condone any mistreatment of animals". Oh good, now I feel better ...
