We love boobies! And so does Keep A Breast! That's why we've teamed up with them to create our brand new 'Breasts Not Animal Tests' Tunic Tank. This hot little number lets everyone know testing on animals will not save our precious tatas.
Over the years, billions of dollars have been poured into animal testing yet we still have no cure for cancer in humans. Scientists have only been successful curing cancer in the rats and mice they pump all sorts of chemical garbage into. I mean, I don't have a PhD or anything, but I'm smart enough to know my insides don't look anything like those of a mouse or any other animal these monsters test on.
Not only has animal testing proven itself unreliable, it's just plain wrong. If you're as passionate as I am about putting an end to animal testing, you won't wanna miss out on this week's contest cause we're giving away five 'Breasts Not Animal Tests' tanks! I don't know about you, but if people are gonna stare at my boobs, they might as well learn a little something.
For your chance to win, comment below with what you'd say to an animal experimenter if you ever came face to face with one. Entries must be received by August 21. The five people with the most original comments will be chosen as our winners and notified by August 24.
Just so you know ... by commenting here, you're acknowledging that you've read and agreed to our privacy policy.

It's crazy to think that people are still artificially inducing diseases in monkeys, rats, mice, rabbits, cats, dogs, and other animals in an attempt to find cures for diseases in people. Their bodies are different than ours, plain and simple. One thing that is for sure the same, however, is the ability we all have to experience pain, loneliness, and fear.
Which is why it just doesn't make sense that animals often suffer and die in cruel and horrific tests in the name of breast cancer "research." Former National Cancer Institute Director Dr. Richard Klausner has stated, "The history of cancer research has been the history of curing cancer in the mouse. We have cured mice of cancer for decades, and it simply didn't work in humans."
Enter our "Breasts, Not Animal Tests" campaign! We teamed up with Keep A Breast to bring this campaign to the masses, and we couldn't be more excited! After all, prevention and early detection is the key to stopping breast cancer, so please—if you've got them—check your boobies! And for more ways to get involved, check these out:
- Add a "Breasts, Not Animal Tests" banner to your page.
- Play our Test on Breasts game.
- Buy our sweet new tank top and wear it everywhere you go.
Boobs. Breasts. Ta-Tas. Whatever it is you call them, we want you to protect 'em, so remember: test your breasts—not animals!
How Can You Help Cure Breast Cancer? July 28, 2009

Breast cancer is a disease that affects millions of women and families every year, and for many of them, the only hope they have is in research being done to try to cure it. All hope is with charities and scientists—many of whom continue to fund animal testing.
The truth? The use of animals for breast cancer research is unreliable because of animals' significant genetic, cellular, and physiological differences from humans. Former National Cancer Institute Director Dr. Richard Klausner has stated, "The history of cancer research has been the history of curing cancer in the mouse. We have cured mice of cancer for decades, and it simply didn't work in humans."
We should all feel let down by this research and demand something better—an end not only to the cruelty of testing on animals but to the end of useless experiments that haven't helped cure cancer. Repetitive, expensive, cruel and absolutely selfish tests continue to go on while women are still dying of breast cancer every day.
Please take a minute and send one single e-mail to executives of the organizations that still fund animal research. Ask them to support scientifically sound and humane research that can stop breast cancer before it starts.
Combichrist VIP Tour Opportunity! June 12, 2009
Posted by Shannon Phillips at June 12, 2009 12:45 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 2 ) | TrackBackIndustrial music may be seen as dark, harsh, and cold to some—but one thing I've always noticed is that the industrial community has always seemed particularly sympathetic to animal rights issues. Skinny Puppy sang about animal testing in the song "Testure", Bryan of Velvet Acid Christ is a vegan animal rights activist, Trent Reznor has narrated an anti-fur video, and as you may have seen in our recent feature, Combichrist's Andy LaPlegua is an avid defender of animals—speaking out against product testing on animals and dogfighting.
Staying true to their love for animals and their fans, Combichrist is offering their fans a chance to hang out with the band—VIP style—and give back to animals at the same time. In fact, 25% of the sale of these special VIP packages will be donated to PETA!
If you'd like to secure one of these VIP packages (and why wouldn't you?), send an email to combichristvip@hotmail.com and be sure to mention the date and the city of the show you'd like to attend in the subject of the e-mail. Packages are $100, with 5 VIP packages available for each show. Each VIP package is good for two people—so bring a friend! Once you receive a response and follow the payment instructions, your spot will be secured. Check out Combichrist's MySpace blog for more details about this unique opportunity.

Animal Testing Video May 13, 2009

Make sure you show everyone the video below and encourage them to pursue research that does not involve torturing and killing animals! There is no excuse for testing on animals.
We've had this "Testing ... One, Two, Three" video for a while now, but it's so good I wanted to remind everyone that it's a simple way to show other people just how pointless and cruel it is to test on animals!

Who was E6993? May 6, 2009

The animal testing and dissection industries are heartless—masked by genius marketing schemes designed to trick compassionate people into paying for cruelty to animals in the name of saving human lives or teaching kids valuable lessons. Vivisectors, scientists and researchers want nothing more than for you to be quiet, listen, and not question the outdated, cruel and inhumane methods in which they blindly believe—and profit from.
So where do those animals come from? Well, frogs, rabbits and sometimes cats can come from breeding supply firms like the one in our undercover investigation (where you can see cats being pumped with formaldehyde while they're still alive) or can be trapped in the wild. If you're dissecting a dog or a cat in your high school or college though, they might've come straight from your local shelter thanks to pound seizure.
What is pound seizure? It's one of the most disgusting acts (and that's a feat) in any animal exploitation business—where dealers can purchase live animals from shelters in many states, and sell them off to schools, or laboratories for dissection and testing. These future test subjects were once someone's companion—unwanted, abandoned, or just plain missing and waiting to go home.
E6993 was a stray with her purple collar still on, who was found by animal control in a rural Michigan town. She was brought to a local shelter there, and then purchased by a research company. After spending six months there, likely spending most of her time alone, confined in a cage, E6993 was sold to the University of Florida, where vet students performed abdominal surgeries, ultrasounds and other procedures on her. E6993 would never find her way home. After 7 months of being tested on, E6993 was killed.
Help stop all animals from being brought into labs and classrooms—dead or alive. Demand alternatives for dissection—we can help. Animals who are lost, trapped or bred only to be killed in your class or others have no voice—they need yours. Speak up for animals like E6993 in the best place you can—your own school.
