Contest Free Stuff Friday Danger Radio A Day to Remember Pyknic New Found Glory The Devil Wears Prada
While they may have been cafeteria bullies back in the day, the geniuses behind Pyknic Clothing have managed to do what everyone dreams ofmake money doing what they love. Finding the art in their spaghetti stained tees, the concept of "culinary clothing" was born. Today, you can't walk into Pac Sun or Hot Topic without seeing Pyknic's cafeteria food-inspired designs. With such an awesomely wacky concept, it's no wonder bands like New Found Glory, A Day To Remember, Danger Radio, and The Devil Wears Prada love to rock out in Pyknic tees.
This week, we're giving you the chance to win the Pyknic t-shirt of your choice (based on availability, of course). For your chance to win, comment below with the best food to use in a vegan food fight and why. Entries most be received by August 14. The two guys and two girls with the most creative comments will be chosen as our winners and notified by August 17.

Warped Tour Scary Kids Scaring Kids A Day to Remember Meg and Dia animal testing breaks hearts Big D and the Kids Table
Ah, Warped Tour. What's better than being with your closest friends, seeing your favorite bands, having rad singalongs, and buying more merch than you can carry with two arms? Nothing? Yeah, I didn't think so. Despite the blistering heat, we're having a blast on the tour and I'm sure you are too! If you've already been to your local Warped date, I'm sure you've noticed that our "Animal Testing Breaks Hearts" campaign has really taken off. Both fans and your favorite bands alike are doing an awesome job spreading the word that product testing on animals is an unnecessary and cruel practice and needs to be stopped for good.
Check out these pictures we took of some of our favorite bands showing love for the campaign ...

Meg of Meg & Dia
Our friends in Saosin
SKSK with their new ATBH tees!
Big D & The Kids Table!
Jeremy of A Day to Remember
What else do all of the bands above have in common besides making awesome music? They all showed love for our campaign by also signing our petition!

Who has been your favorite band on Warped so far?
P.S. You can get in on the "Animal Testing Breaks Hearts" action by taking your own broken heart hand photo and posting it on our Facebook wall or making it your default on MySpace. Also, if you haven't already, make sure you sign our petition letting the world know that testing on animals is wrong and that you won't be part of it!

Warped Tour peta2 Contest win A Day to Remember Four Year Strong Harry Potter Set Your Goals
So far, I have to say that July has been a great month! I got to enjoy 4th of July fireworks and a vegan cookout, spend time on Warped Tour watching Hit the Lights and A Day to Remember, finally saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and today new albums from two of my favorite bands came out! Not only have Four Year Strong and Set Your Goals worked with peta2 before to stand up for animals, but they both had new albums hit stores today and are currently out on the road together in support of these releases.
This Will be the Death of Us is Set Your Goals' highly anticipated follow up to 2006's Mutiny and their first since signing to Epitaph Records. As a huge fan of this band, I can say this album was definitely worth the wait! Tracks like "Summer Jam" and "The Fallen" are destined to be summer anthems, while songs like "Look Closer" and "Gaia Bleeds (Make Way for Man)" have a much more serious message, and definitely one that can be applied to animal rights.

Worcester, MA, natives Four Year Strong have looked to the past for inspiration for their new album, Explains it All, which is a cover album of '90s songs. I may have been a baby of the '80s, but I grew up in the '90s and some of these songs definitely hold a special place in my heart! Who else could pull off covering Smashing Pumpkins, Third Eye Blind, and No Doubt?

If you haven't checked out these new jams yet, I suggest you get on it! And be sure to buy your tickets to the bands' co-headlining tour before they sell out! Comment with your favorite song from the '90s and two winners will be chosen at random to receive a copy of both bands' new CDs. Entries must be received by July 29 and winners will be notified by July 31.
Heads up, by commenting here, you're acknowledging that you've read and agreed to our privacy policy.

Be a Bunny's Honey! April 21, 2009
Posted by Megan Rondeau at April 21, 2009 2:00 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 2 ) | TrackBackI'm sure I'm not alone in preferring the freedom of a Friday night to being stuck in school or work all week. But, I have to say as far as weekdays go Tuesdays are definitely my favorite days! Why? Tuesday is the day that new albums are released, duh!
Of the albums coming out this week, I recommend you pick up The Secret Handshake's My Name Up In Lights, Manchester Orchestra's Mean Everything To Nothing, and Meg and Dia's Here, Here, and Here. Not to be biased, but I feel like I owe Meg and Dia a personal shout out for the work they've done with peta2 in the past. When they're not busy headlining tours across the country, Meg and Dia have always made time to stand up for animals. Recently they starred in a PSA for peta2 reminding you to "Be a Bunny's Honey" and not buy clothing that contains fur. Even if it's just a little fur trim on your hoodie, an animal suffered through an unbearable life and was killed for that fashion accessory. I mean, who actually wears fur these days anyway? Not me!
What new albums have you been listening to lately? Right now I'm obsessed with Fireworks and Asher Roth!
"I Couldn't Wait for the Summer and the Warped Tour..." March 31, 2009
Posted by Megan Rondeau at March 31, 2009 3:47 PM | Permalink | Comments ( 13 ) | TrackBackEvery summer I look forward to the long, hot and sweaty days of the Vans Warped Tour. I've been going every year since 2001 and I still love it! Summer just isn't complete without that day spent in the smoldering heat along with thousands of other kids watching some of your favorite bands. This year's Warped Tour is sure to be the party of the summer yet again. Some awesome new bands have been added to the line-up in addition to the old favorites that help keep Warped going strong every year.
Check out this year's full line-up of bands. It's awesome to see that so many of these bands are friends with peta2! After seeing the success of last summer's campaign, there's no doubt in my mind that by the end of the summer our peta2 road crew will have every one of these bands on board to help animals!

What Warped Bands Are Signing Against Cruelty to Animals? July 18, 2008
Posted by Marta at July 18, 2008 9:41 AM | Permalink | Comments ( 5 ) | TrackBackWelcome back blog readers. It's another rockin' week at Warped Tour. I'm happy to say that our friends from A Day to Remember signed the Woof petition as well as some of the dudes from Say Anything.

We've had some rad Street Teamers this week (as usual!), like Nehemie in Atlanta.

Thanks to all the office staff and interns who came out to help at the Virginia Beach show!

Don't forget to look out for us at the Mayhem Festival and Dirtfest!
Stay Brutal
