5) One billion animals are killed every year for leather products.
Leather is not a "byproduct" of the meat industry. It is a coproduct. The meat industry makes a lot of money selling the skins of dead animals.

Duh. Just like you wouldn't want to be beaten, have chili peppers or tobacco rubbed into your eyes in order to force you to walk to your death, and have your throat slit before being skinned, just to be made into a product that no one needs—right?

Uhhh…. Just saying, aren't people discusted when they wear something that used to be alive? It's just gross. Seriously people it's nasty, cruel, and bad for the envirment too. People who wear leather are gross and nut jobs.

I once watched a national geographic video on how leather was produced, it was so horrible, now every time I see a leather purse or boots I just think of the graphic images from that video and feel more like throwing up than spending 150 dollars.
I honestly prefer fake leather, it even looks better than the original
