MISSION: Hit the Dairy Industry Where It Hurts!

Posted on February 6, 2012 at 6:09 pm | Permalink | Comments (20)

What's a good way to know that that the dairy industry is shaking in its boots? It's released a series of ridiculously laughable ads trying to scare people away from cruelty-free nondairy milks, which are actually healthier!

Let's show the milk board that it can't dupe us—and that support for its cruel industry (one that breaks apart families, forcibly impregnates cows, and lies to consumers) will only continue to decline as compassionate consumers wise up!

Here's how:

  • Snap a photo of yourself with your favorite nondairy milk (hemp, almond, rice, soy … you get it!)
  • Post the photo to your Facebook wall and tag the "Got Milk?" Facebook page (learn how to tag pages here) with a caption like "@Got Milk? Cow's milk is intended for baby cows, not humans. Loving my nondairy milk!" See an example below if you need help!

  1. Dairy is not just cruel to animals, I'm not laughing since makes people utterly sick. For instance whenever I go to a church, it seems they got a mile long "prayer list" of people with preventable illnesses from animal and dairy consumption as well as people bitching how sick they are. They think you're insane when you tell them to change their diets, because it is up to them and not "God's will" that they be ill. This is on top of that Christians are already hooked on bad foods, including alcohol, and yet only the Seventh Day Adventists are the only denomination that will specifically address issues of food that destroys our spirituality as well as our health. Without a doubt if people whom believed in Jesus quit eating animal products, they would be far more ethical in making decisions to chose to "do no harm" to others as well as to the earth.

Yes, they are owned by Dean Foods. Dean Foods is an $11 billion agribusiness giant and the largest milk processor in the United States. They own over 50 milk labels around the country, including Horizon Organic, a brand that heavily depends on factory farms each milking thousands of cows.

I have been drinking soya milk now for years. I love it!
Occasionally I am given tea or coffee with normal milk in and I can tell immediately – it tastes fatty and leaves a greasy kind of film on the roof of my mouth.
It really does disgust me now.
