Mario games have definitely been a part of my youth (and adulthood—shhh …), but when I realized that Mario was sportin' tanuki (aka "raccoon dog") fur for special powers, I was, like, "Uh-uh, this is not OK."
Are you as bummed and outraged as I am? Then play our newest (and highly addictive) game, Super Tanooki Skin 2D, and help Tanooki reclaim his fur.

After you get your play on, don't forget to pledge to be fur-free!

I never noticed the tanooki skin. What bothered me was the killing of the turtles and crows.
and this is random: Someone please explain the appeal of uggs. They are quite ugly and expensive and kill sheep. So what's up with them?
ps click on my name!
Did you hear about uggs using other animals and saying it was sheep? Lying to their customers!
yeah I heard, everyone said I was lying when i told them!
i'm saddened by how they snuck that evilness into my childhood
I thought it was just a hoodie outfit that looked like a raccoon.
I only get to 11 seconds XD

you are right . wearing fur is terrible but you can't blame super mario ! Mario just touches a leaf and transforms into a tanooki as he can turn himself into a frog , a racoon , a turtle and more! Super Mario is just a game . Mario doesn't wear this suit to tell people that it's ok to kill animals ! It's just a " power up " . Also young children won't think that Mario wears fur ! They will only think that he can fly by touching a leaf . ( sorry for bad English )
Right, it's a costume. There's a difference between that and skinning live animals. Hold up while we go throw blood on kids at halloween for similar reasons. Skinning live tanuki's is very wrongs, so why don't we go after the people doing that instead of a video game character wearing costumes?
