This year for Lent, leave pigs off your plate! Why shouldn't you eat pigs, you ask?
Definitely because they're awesome, but also because pigs on factory farms are beaten and sexually abused, sometimes have their heads slammed into the concrete floor, are castrated without anesthesia, and many are dumped in scalding hot water while still alive.
Oh, and did I mention that poop from pigs and other factory farmed animals is polluting the planet? Yuck.
Already stopped eating pigs? Tell all your friends why they shouldn't eat them, either! Start by having all your friends fill out our petition. We'll help by sending stickers and Woof! leaflets (U.S. and Canada only!)—just e-mail us the following info at peta2@peta2.com with the subject line "Woof!"
- Name
- Age
- Address
- City
- State
- Zip
Need another reason not to eat pigs? Because no one should buy into the National Pork Board's BS!
P.S. There are tons of vegan meats out there, and no pigs are sexually abused for fakin' bacon.

That's right the first day of Lent. MAKE THE DIFFERENCE EVERYONE. START TODAY!!!
Yay
I already don't eat pigs, so this makes me happy that I can help others not eat it
I haven't eaten a pig in 6 years
They were my favorite animal in third grade so i stopped eating them, and now i'm a vegetarian
That's a big pig
But it is very cute lol
I'm lovin' the pig's goofy smile in that picture, first of all.
Second, what does castrated mean? I've been trying to figure it out, because it's in like, ALL my peta2 leaflets and mags and stuff…
Pigs are amazing. Thanks for this blog entry. I've shared it with my friends on Facebook and Myspace!
@Sara castration is the cutting off of testicles. And to think that male animals on factory farms have their balls cut off w/o painkillers makes me sick to my stomach! :'(
wow, hes so big!! xD i have a pig at home but hes small
