Kso for Valentines day this year I'm spending it with my girlfriend. Well I have just recently converted her over to the vegetarian side, thank God, but I'm surprising her with a vegetarian dinner and just have a calm and peaceful night. She's only been a vegetarian for a few weeks so I'm going to show her how easy and wonderful it is. And especially for Valentines day I bought her the DropDead "Meat Sucks" shirt
I want to inspire her to be more excited about this journey she's about to embark on. And not to put anymore pressure on her I bought her this gorgeous ring with all of my saved money. I'm hoping that by the end of the night I'll have my perfect girlfriend ♥
Valentines Day will be a day spend with my boyfriend. Chances are, we'll exchange our gifts in the morning (I ordered him an "I am not a nugget" t-shirt because he always coos about how cute Nugget is) and then spend the rest of the day curled up on his futon watching movies with his awesome kitten with a mustache, Lizzie.

This Valentines day I've decided to widen my Vegan Boyfriend's horizon's by making a Vegan Cheesecake(:. He use to love cheesecake before he went Vegan and never thought to look up a recipe for it.(: [thank you Peta2 for having one!] So that is what I'll be doing(:!
This upcoming Valentine's day is going to be my first one as a vegan so i am pretty excited. Though I don't have a Valentine of my own (since my boyfriend just dumped me a few days ago, but who cares?! He ate meat! eww), I don't have anything mooshy and romantic planned. Instead, I plan on waking up super early so that I can make a yummy vegan breakfast for my mom and little sister, with the help of my new vegan cook book "Skinny Bitch in the Kitch"! Afterwards, I'll wake them up and give my mom an early Birthday present (since her birthday is February 17th) of flowers and a certificate to the nail salon to get a manicure/pedicure. She'll probably give me a weird look at first though, because I've promised my friend that I would wear my rainbow heart undies outside of my pants all day, because you know it's all about the love
. Of course, I can't forget about my favorite companion friends, my cat and my hamster, so there will be extra treats and kisses for the both of them. And what would Valentine's day be without showing KFC how much you love them? Nothing! That's why I, with the help of my two best friends (who are both veggies), are going to be passing out flyers that we created ourselves last weekend. All of them say "Where is the love?" at the top, and they also have pictures as well as facts about how cruel KFC really is. And yes I will be handing them out in my rainbow heart undies.

I gonna write a lettre to my best friend, who died 4 years ago. I'm gonna tell him how much I love him and how much I'm missing him, then I will go in the wood with one of my friends in katimavik (a program I'm doing right now for young people in Canada where we are volonteering and stuff like that, really nice by the way!)with snow shoes and we gonna make a fire, and burn my letter… So all the words could rejoing his spirit. This Valentine's Day, my boyfriend and I are having a romantic weekend away. We booked a fancy hotel in Niagara-on-the-lake, and we are going to have a romantic dinner at one of the veggie restaurants in the area. They even have vegan wine! Since I quit my job to finish my last semester of school (and losing my pet Skittles really hurt last year), he is paying for the trip. In return I am making a handmade card, and my friend has a letter press so I'm really making it pretty, and I'm going to write him coupons for cutesy things like a vegan dinner for four (one cat and one dog extra).We also got my puppy some vegan puppy cookies in the shape of hearts so that she knows we love her while she's at my parents' house without mum and dad

Since Valentine Day is on Sunday, I will be at church Sunday morning from about 10 a.m.-12:30pm. Then I will eat dinner at home, watch tv, maybe even take a nap. I will go back to church Sunday night.
I'm going to make up a true story for my valentine's day plans sans my husband who is totally lame and there has never been any plans in the 10 yrs we've been together. I'm going to knit and felt some toys for our 4 rescued dogs that we have and then if they hold up to severe treatment I'm going to offer to do some for our local rescue societies (there are a few) so that even "un-wanted" animals can have some love at least on valentines.
The 14th of February has always been S.A.D. for me (Singles Awareness Day). I realized that Valentine's Day is about much more than receiving roses or having a boyfriend to spend the day (or night) with. It's a day to celebrate love, not just with that special someone, but a more "universal" love – a love for other beings.
And so for the past five years, I've been delivering heart shaped cookies to the senior citizen center on my block. Old people need love too! And everyone's ideas are great; they've inspired me to go to the humane society in my county and spread some love to the animals in need as well. I also must buy my mom organic roses of course! Then I'll head home and curl up on the couch with my furry friends (3 dogs, all rescued!) and watch some documentaries or read a book. I'm planning on the laya project, but I'll see. Happy 14th my friends!
PS- I wouldn't know, but I bet vegans DO do it better(;
Okay, this idea is a little unconventional, but my boyfriend and I will not be focusing on romantic love this year. Rather we will be focusing on love in general. First, we are going to volunteer at the Children's hospital with our dog, Peppy, and give out candy hearts. Afterward, we are going to go thrift shopping for random cool stuff and support our local goodwill. Then we are going to come home and enjoy a nice vegan Chinese food dinner by candle light made by your one and only. Valentines day is the day of love, and applies to more than just your immediate spouse or friends.
I'm just going to Pilates class
I am going to trip over something (accidentally) and when my girlfriend fusses over me and tries to help me up (I know she will) I am going to leave this note in her hand:
"Trip over love, you can get up. Fall in love and you fall forever."
Then we may just "fall" into a pint of purely decadent pomegranate chip (vegan) ice cream.
She's going to be so touched.

My boyfriend (the vegan) and I (the slowly-being-converted) will be doing an Anti-VD Valentine's Day (and, no, I don't mean that we'll be advocating against STDs…) We're going to "celebrate" the 14th by staying in and having a horror movie marathon, eating vegan cherry pie and red devil's food cake, drinking red bulls with vodka, and any other "red" themed activity we can throw into the mix between now and Sunday. We still need a red-themed dinner idea, so if anyone has one, we're all ears!

My Valentine's plan involve taking my boyfriend out for a surprise dinner that I plan on making myself. Its kind of like an eggplant parmesan. Its very good.

For valentines day I plan to take my crush out to dinner and a movie. Theres a nice Vegan restaurant downtown that serves some really great food. We probably will just have a soy burger with soy cheese with some organic juice and a nice piece of chocolate mousse cake. Afterwards we will go to the movies and eat Twizzlers as a snack. I love twizzlers.
My plans for Valentine's day are…since I don't have a Valentine this year I decided that My dog P.J. will be my Valentine
I am going to surprise him with a bag of goodies containing his favorite dog treats, some new toys, and many more. I am hoping he will love it! He has been my companion for 9 years now..so it's time he gets something super special!
For valentine's day this year, I am spreading the love around. Breakfast with family friends, lunch with my parents and dinner with the hubby's family. We share our love of each other -so this year we are sharing with those outside of our home that we love
For Valentine's day, my boyfriend and me will have a nice vegetarian supper in restaurant, with a bottle of red wine, and we will watch a film comfortably in our pyjamas with our two dogs and our three cats!!

Well I don't have a boyfriend so i spent the day with my lovely dog, Daisy! I bought her a cute lil V- Day toy & i new sweater! Then we went for a LONG walk in the park. Then hung out on the couch and watch a movie! lolll
