For my Valentine's Day, I am hosting a Year of the Tiger fundraiser dinner party. Everyone brings $10 to eat a vegan meal dressed in animal print clothing (no REAL animals, of course). Money is donated to the World Wildlife Foundation's tiger conservation funds. February 14th is also the Chinese New Year and this year is the Year of the Tiger so I hope to spread awareness about protecting our endangered animals!

    Love the tee's!
This Valentine's Day my boyfriend and I (who are both vegan) will be cooking up a delicious vegan meal and some vegan desserts.
We will be spending the evening together with our animals/pets.
Also, we will be writing music (he plays the guitar/drums, and I play piano) for the documentary I am producing on animal rights and veganism titled 'Don't Eat Me'.
Check out http://www.donteatme.ca for more info!!!

My boyfriend and I have reverse roles: He loves Valentine's day! This will be our first one, and our one year is March 17th. I can honestly say I've never celebrated Valentine's Day with a guy. I told them I didn't believe in making a huge fuss about trivial holidays, and so far every guy I've dated either agreed with me or was happy not to have to spend his money. My current boyfriend is a different story. He goes all-out on every single holiday, especially my birthday. I don't want to make a big deal about it, but disappointing him is probably the worst thing I could ever do. So, for his sake, we're going out on Valentine's Day. For vegan food, of course, and I will love it because I love him.

Oh wow, those are great Valentine's Day plans!
Anyways, I am going to be a bad Valentine this year. My boyfriend and I have been dating for sometime now. He is a meat-eater and we don't ever discuss the topic because it only leads to fighting. Sooo … I have made plans to sneak away with another vegan to go out for Valentine's Day and see if we are meant for each other. Hehe, he deserves it more anyways, right? :)

I am building a giant sheet fort in my living room and baking vegan agave cupcakes that friday early so he will be surprised. Later Sunday ( V-day) I am making vegan green curry for him and we will dine in romanticly, perferably in the sheet tent. Green curry is his favorite, so hopefully I can pull it off. My plan for this coming Valentine's Day on the 14th day of February, 2010. Well, I'll be having my Valentine campaign for PETA2/PETA Asia-Pacific here in La Union, Philippines. I'll spread the words "Have A Heart, Save The Animals" and a lot more of stuff. I'll be having my own demo with my friends. Holding a banners. Distributing a lot of leaflets and Valentine's Card that I get in PETA2.com. I'm really excited educating the people on Valentine's Day about animal rights.

I'm renting out the entire park to throw a fundraiser to raise money against animal testing. It will be full of heart-shaped balloons, candies, banners, streamers, different activities and tables, and valentine gifts–all with the animal testing breaks hearts logo on them. There will also be a 100 square foot vegan cake with peta everywhere. Me and my valentine will then go out for a nice, romantic, vegan dinner with the satisfaction of all our help. :) Happy Valentine's Day! I've always loved Valentine's day (Even when i didn't have a Valentine)I figure it doesn't just have to be about that significant other.. right? I find it as a day to show everyone around me my love for both animals and people alike. This years going to be really fun. I have no idea what my boyfriend has planned for us. But he says it a surprise. And I'm super excited. For my friends and family I'm going to be giving them homemade vegan chocolates. I got the most awesome mold in the store the other day.. so im super excited. And I'm so Blessed I've been dating my boyfriend Jude now for two years. And Im making him CUPCAKES!!!! :) Chocolate Red Velvet with Chocolate frosting. I'm planning of arranging them in a heart shaped box. And Possibly trying out that vegan marshmallow recipe I've been wanting to and then dipping them in chocolate and arranging them and other candies on top of the cupcakes. (Like a box of Chocolates). I'm also taking a jar and writing 365 reasons why I love him on it. So that every morning until next year he can open up the jar and read one before school/work.

I don't have a boyfriend this year, but I wasn't about to let my self be alone on Valentine's day. So me and all of my friends who arn't in a relationship on this day of celebarations of Love and relationships, are all going out to go see the movie Dear John and then we'll eat dinner together. Which shows that you don't need a significant other to have fun and be happy on Valentine's day.(:

So this Valentine he is going to fly down here and he says he has a surprise for me once he gets here. I wonder what it could be… But he doesn't know is that I have a surprise for him too. I bought him a ring. And inside that ring it says, "I love you, Rooken. Always." I'm so excited!

My boyfriend is picking me up from there and we're going to go eat lunch at the new vegan cafe, that has a beautiful garden out back we can eat in, it always smells like sundried tomatoes (: if i win this shirt, i would wear it around my boyfriend all the time, to try to get him to go vegan ( he's still just a vegetarian, but good for him , right?)
