Are You Ready for Fur-Free Friday? November 25, 2009

The day after Thanksgiving is good for two reasons—leftover vegan cupcakes, and sticking up for animals killed for their fur—it's Fur-Free Friday! Okay, and maybe it's also known for a little bit of shopping.

Every year on this day, compassionate people across the country raise their voice for the millions of animals who are anally or vaginally electrocuted, drowned, clubbed, strangled or otherwise murdered for their fur. Although a lot of people would never buy a full length fur coat, they might not realize that fur trim is every bit as cruel. Sweaters are on nearly everyone's shopping list this year, so letting everyone know about the cruel fur industry, on the biggest shopping day of the year, is as important as ever!

What are you doing for Fur-Free Friday? Whether you're at home or at the mall taking part in all of the craziness, we have some ideas for you to help raise awareness for animals, and earn Street Team points! Check them out below!
