Ahh, this is PERFECT!
It's starting to cool down and I've been dying to start making soups. I swear I'd kill for some English onion soup which calls for cheese melted on top. Nothing sounds better penetrating my spoon through layers of cheese, bread, onions and the veggie broth juices they would be drowning in. You gotta have every layer in one spoonfull for sure. Cheese bread on the side, of course. Sweet tea to drink. Apple cinnamon fritters topped with vanilla soy ice cream drizzled with caramel for dessert.. ahh! I am SO ready to make this for er'body! party at my place in front of my imaginary fireplace anyone? Furry friends are MORE than welcome! :)
start of with some caprese with the soy cheese, steak tomatoes and salt & pepper. Then some veggie lasagna with spinach, marinara and soy cheese. accompanied by garlic cheese bread.... mmmmmmm

Posted by: at October 14, 2009 5:22 AMIf I win the vegan cheese, in my Animal Rights club at school that I organized, that now has over 75 members & more future members on the way. I'm going to be running a campaign soon throughout the school, please go cruelty free by becoming vegan and a lot of people are saying that they heard vegan food is disgusting, so I want to make a dish and prove that it isn't, and since a lot of people always tell me they couldn't go vegan because they can't stop eating cheese, this would be perfect. I'm going to make cheesy stuffed potatoes topped with veggies and give out samples to everybody to show them how amazing vegan food really is!!!
Posted by: Maria Mcmahan at October 14, 2009 5:57 AMI would make a stuffed vegan grilled cheese, complete with zucchini, mushrooms, and sun dried tomatoes. It would be toasted on vegan sourdough bread, with some french fries and "cheese" dip.

The cheese literally melts in your mouth ;D

1 cup of water
1/3 cup of tamari or soy sauce
1 1/2 cup of nutritional yeast
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 cup of canola or vegetable oil
1 1/2 lbs of pasta of your choice preferably macaroni
a relatively large baking pan (like a brownie pan)
1 dollop of mustard (optional)
I'd definitely put it in my mac & cheese.
If you've ever had the recipe down below you'd know it'd just melt in your mouth ;D

Posted by: at October 14, 2009 6:15 PMDefinately a mozerall, spinach, and mushroom pizza! Back when I was only vegetarian, I was probably the craziest person you'll ever meet who is obsessed with cheese. One night, I slept over at a friend's house and woke up at 3am feeling hungry. I didn't know what to eat at her house and didn't want to wake her up so I just took her block of cheese, brought it back with me to the bedroom, and munched on it for a half hour haha.
Then again, I am from Wisconsin I suppose so I grew up loving cheese.
The mozeralla, spinach, and mushroom pizza calls for spinach, garlic, oregano, mozeralla, basil, rosemary, black pepper, sautéed mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, and pizza dough.
Ove every together until it's a nice crispy golden look and it's perfect! I haven't had pizza in so long, I'm craving it right now!
I would make a little casserole type thing. I simply add fresh broccoli, delicious vegan cheese, and rice.
It sounds very simple but it's DELICIOUS and perfect for a cold day to warm up your tummy!
I think i would probally just eat it plain, or make yummy nachos! I miss cheese so much nachos sound really good espec. in the coming winter even though it was like 90 degrees here today :(
