I don't understand why some people still think that buying animals is an OK thing to do, but then again, look who it is this time ...

Spencer Pratt bought Heidi Montag a purebred puppy for her birthday. Apparently the fact that millions of homeless animals are turned into shelters every year isn't that big of a deal to them.
Even after we wrote to them about the importance of adopting animals from shelters, they still selfishly opted to purchase an animal, like she was a pair of shoes or something.
Hopefully Speidi will see the error of their ways and not buy any more animals, you know, since for every animal purchased from a pet store or breeder, an animal dies in the shelter. At least one person from The Hills knows what's up when it comes to animals ... thank goodness for Audrina!

we got a kitten from a shelter..and she was GORGEOUS..she was black with white feet and white mark under her nose which looked like a tash---we called her tash!

maybe if they had the opportunity to visit some of these shelters and see how these animals have to wait for their home, they'd be a bit for persuasive.
My dog Snickers, she's the cutest dog in the world!!!
and she's from a animal shelter, im super happy we got her when did, because if we didn't she would have been put to sleep the next day!
so come on CELEBS adopt a animal from a shelter!!! you never kno if tht dog or cat will still be here.
Selfish selfish people!!!!! There are so many homeless, abandoned, and neglected animals out there. The pet industry must stop and it sickens me that people like this are the ones who support them! Down with Heidi and Spencer!! Buy from shelters = saving a very very very important animal life.

Whenever people tell me they're getting a new pet I always ask "from the shelter?" and if they say no then I try to talk them out of their planned purchase!
