eeew ): I hate axe, every single scent smells disgusting

Axe has always seemed to me a little over the top. Its fragrances and styles are unappealing to me in every sense of the word. And even more now.I actually prefer Old Spice.
I like Peta's creation ^^.

Why do people even use body spray at all. just use deodorant and soap. its better to smell clean than smell like you just bathed in some chemicals

Yeah when I saw the commercial on tv for this scent I thought to myself, "what the hell were they thinking?" that is the worst idea for a "good" scent....disgusting is what it is. If I was ever near a guy who smelled like leather scented axe (which as we know axe is almost always over used) I would throw up on his shoes, period haha.

i actually like axe phoenix, but i hate all of their other scents. >.

I believe leather to be a pretty good smell. Most men would probably agree with me. There's nothing like smelling a leather ball glove, a wallet, or car seats. Wearing leather on the other hand isn't so kosher.

This product could advertise and influence people to seek leather, so overall, I agree.

I watched that commercial and i thought 'oh ew who would wear that?' the next day my boyfriend wore it. I hid it in the trash lol

I saw this fragrance at the store other day and thought the same thing! this is just dumb and everytime i think of axe it reminds of white trash anyways so this jsut puts the cherry on the sundae.

old spice reminds me of some old man...yuck

im a vegetarian. but i wear leather because i cant afford any other shit! and excuse me for not having as much money as all these rich kids that can afford to go Vegan!

this is a prime example why i dont even check this site anymore! because you take all the fun out of growing up!

maybe it's just me, but i don't really understand this campaign.
are there actually animal products in the spray, or does it just mimic the leather scent?
If it's just the scent, I find this is a little pointless. If you're gonna go on that route, then why not campaign against fake meats? It made to taste like dead animal, isn't it? So how's that different?
I'm in no way saying that I find leather scent attractive or that I think it's a good idea, I just don't think peta needs to waste time designing a product against it.

ok. i love axe pheonix. and i definately think people should wear body spray/perfume cuz if you dont its dirty. but to wear something that smells like dead animal i totally agree is absolutely disgusting. i wasn't even aware of this scent til i read this article. eww.

I love axe sprays for men. my boyfriend wears pheonix and i think it is really sexy. I wasn't even aware that this scent existed before reading this article. I completely agree tho. why would anyone wanna smell like a dead animal? why not just pick up a dead person and walk around with them? ewww

i find this stupid! whats wrong with the scent! Its not the actual animal why is it such a problem. This is the reasn why is topped being vegatarian because petta always have some stuff stuff they always rant on. can you guys rant on something and make sense about it b/c i just had enough of this peta stuff

i totally rethought my views on AXE.
i really like a few of their fragrences,
but this is totalllly disguesting!
I really hope it lowers their sales.

This design is a spoof to get people thinking about what they're wearing - the scent of rotten, dead animals.

Many times, alternatives to leather are much cheaper than leather. For example - there are lots of shoes at Target and Payless that are made from "man-made materials" and they are definitely inexpensive. Many people don't even realize that they already own some non-leather products (because the products are so realistic). I definitely recommend that you check some out.

As for being vegan - there are tons of inexpensive vegan recipes out there. Check out our 'Pimp My Ramen' Noodles recipe at http://www.peta2.com/cookbook for one example.

Our goal is not to "take all the fun out of growing up." We aim to get people to choose cruelty-free alternatives - especially when those alternatives are so readily available - like non-leather shoes and belts and vegan food.

Oxygenthief said said it the best....i totally agree. if peta didnt waste its time running pointless campaigns like this, then maybe they would be taken a little more seriously, and its members wouldnt be thought of as "crazy vegetarians". its not like peta doesnt have the funds or the man power to say, run a campaign against Dove, Colgate, Oil of Olay, or any of the other big names in personal care who use rendered animals in their products. Give me a break.

I never liked Axe anyway. The smells are horrid, and very strong...but they only last for like 5 minutes! Well that's what it seemed like to me. Now I have a good reason to never try that stuff again.

Maybe if people really wanna make a point they should learn how to type and spell properly. That might help us think your opinion matters. take notes randy. trying to smell like a dead animal is gross. And were not ranting we're just giving our opinions. Pretty sure thats our right as humans.

i hate all axe sprays, even tags. my brother uses them and after he's done he attacks me with them. so the house smells like them all day and so do i. :S

I'm actually very allergic to Axe. My throat closes up and it makes me gag. Now, I have another reason to hate Axe.

Axe smells like crap.Guys who wear Axe are like the biggest turn off for me.Yesturday I threw my brothers axe to the trash cuz he uses too much of it.
