Free Stuff Friday: 'Breasts Not Animal Tests' Tank Top! August 14, 2009

We love boobies! And so does Keep A Breast! That's why we've teamed up with them to create our brand new 'Breasts Not Animal Tests' Tunic Tank. This hot little number lets everyone know testing on animals will not save our precious tatas.
Over the years, billions of dollars have been poured into animal testing yet we still have no cure for cancer in humans. Scientists have only been successful curing cancer in the rats and mice they pump all sorts of chemical garbage into. I mean, I don't have a PhD or anything, but I'm smart enough to know my insides don't look anything like those of a mouse or any other animal these monsters test on.
Not only has animal testing proven itself unreliable, it's just plain wrong. If you're as passionate as I am about putting an end to animal testing, you won't wanna miss out on this week's contest cause we're giving away five 'Breasts Not Animal Tests' tanks! I don't know about you, but if people are gonna stare at my boobs, they might as well learn a little something.
For your chance to win, comment below with what you'd say to an animal experimenter if you ever came face to face with one. Entries must be received by August 21. The five people with the most original comments will be chosen as our winners and notified by August 24.
Just so you know ... by commenting here, you're acknowledging that you've read and agreed to our privacy policy.

"Why dont you just do the test on yourself and stop harming innocent animals you freak!"
Posted by: Zoey at August 14, 2009 10:21 AM"Do you have any idea what it's like being tortured like the animals you test on? Imagine being trapped inside a horror movie, only worse considering it's real."
wow.
you went to college right?
you do know that most of the animals you test on have a considerable gene difference from us. you usingg them is pretty pointless. you want to waste the lives of millions of animals for guess work. just because it works on them doesnt mean itll work on us. there is absoulutly no reason, at all, to be testing on helpess animals when you could simply get a human, im sure tons of vegitarians and vegans, including me, would line up to help stop YOUR cruelty. its also a waste on our economy, you say you whant to help people? well why not actually do that by hiring people, hundreds of people are getting laid off daily, help them take care of their families by bring in a little extra money. it doesnt have to be a lott. so next time, think about that poor little mouse your injecting with an unatural cancer that is going to kill it. because in the future, it could be you we use.
i would say...
how can you do this!? i would make them look in the eyes of the whimpering undefenceless animals and try to make them understand how unnessicary and inhumane it is. if i was them i wouldnt be able to stand another day knowing how much pain i have caused.
My mother and aunt are both breast cancer survivors and while I appreciate modern medicine for saving their lives, I do not agree with the manner in which their research is conducted. I'm passing info on this campaign on to my friends and I hope we can make progress in irradicating the disease without hurting animals!
Posted by: Angie at August 14, 2009 11:15 AMI would say
"Experiment on this!"
Then I'd give them the finger. Lollllllls.
I'd ask, "haven't you ever thought about how much pain you're causing? Did it ever cross your mind that the animals you're hurting are just as alive, have emotions, and feel pain like you do? What if someone was torturing your child like you torture those animals? Wouldn't you do everything on your power to stop it? So why don't you stop the abuse?"
Posted by: Katy Dilts at August 14, 2009 11:21 AM"alright. so i want to know your logic here. sure, it may be a bit useful to test a product before selling it...but...on an animal? so, let me get this straight. you're testing a product MADE FOR HUMANS...on a being of a TOTALLY DIFFERENT SPECIES? huh. so that doesn't make any sense at all. oh but not only are you not making sense with your approach, you're showing how heartless you can be. lets take a poor defenseless being, lock it up with barely enough space for breathing, torture the hell out of it and for what? hairspray? is it really that necessary? i mean we know what works and what doesn't, right? and there are tons of people out there that would test out your product for the cash you are spending on those animals. that makes more sense to me! so whats your excuse? i really want to know."
Posted by: julia haight at August 14, 2009 11:22 AMhow can you do that??
sit down and let us test on you, then you'll realize what you're doing.
I would say
What the hell is in your head? What are you thinking? Do you not care? Why don't you pin yourself down and put all of this shit on you and see what it does! The same pain you will feel is what the poor animals feel!!!
Posted by: Kayla at August 14, 2009 11:28 AMI support Breast Cancer Research, as many women in my family are breast cancer survivors, BUT there's absolutely no need to test on animals when cancer patients are more than willing to try ANYTHING that may make them better. Test on human volunteers, not animals who have no choice.
Posted by: Ashley at August 14, 2009 11:29 AMWhat would your mother say about this?
Posted by: Amy at August 14, 2009 11:32 AMI wouldn't say anything, and i wouldn't let them say anything either.
Well, that's how it works doesn't it?
The defenceless animals, havent got a fighting chance on Gods good earth.
fail.
Posted by: ashley at August 14, 2009 11:37 AMIf people want cures they can volunteer to help find them. There are always people willing to participate in these trials, so why not use test subjects that have chosen to take part, rather than subjecting animals to this torture without giving them a choice.
Posted by: Eleanor at August 14, 2009 11:38 AMI don't understand the thoughts running through your head when you harm and test innocent animals. They have no say on what you to do them, yet you still probe, analyze, and drug them. It's a shame to say there are still people in this world that are willing to hurt an animal, as long as it doesn't affect them. To see some of the things you do to these animals, just makes my stomach churn. You don't deserve the credit you get for being a scientist when you are doing as much harm, as you are good.
Posted by: Stephanie at August 14, 2009 11:39 AMIf I ever came upon an annimal experimentist I'd first off have to sit them down because the tongue lashing I'd give them would whisk them off their feet otherwise. I'd start off by asking them if they would like to test deathly poisens on their children. Would they feel alright if someone injected their pet cat with needles until the thing looked like a pin cushion. Basically go all out with everything, multiple questions on the various torturous things they do daily to animals and instead ask them if they could do them do someone they love, care for, and trust. And if they had the heart to say that they could deal with that then I'd turn the conversation on themselves. How could hearted are they? Do they even have sympathy or any emotion other than that of hatred for life because all they do is kill and torture innocents. And yet if that still didn't bother them I'd ask them if they'd like to be tested, strapped down on a flat board and cut open, injected with things that shouldn't yet be used on humans, that could make them lose brain functions, suffer numerous hours of pain and even die. Honestly then, if this person had felt nothing than they aren't even worth a breath on this earth in my eyes.
Posted by: Elly at August 14, 2009 11:40 AMI know you went to college with all your fancy knowledge.
But you don't need to be a physics professor to know what you're doing is wrong.
When you were a child i bet you wanted to be a doctor or a scientist. I'm sorry that you never got there.
Posted by: Elizabeth Dunfee at August 14, 2009 11:42 AMOur experiments and research are to enhance our civilization which includes protecting our environment which includes humans, animals and other natural living beings. It is wrong and cruel to experiment on any living being against their will. Innocent animals are here on earth to live and be free to enjoy their lives!
Posted by: Cheryl Mandel at August 14, 2009 11:42 AMCan I ask you something? Every time you give an animal another test does it bother you? Or do you have NO feelings at all? I can't imagine that when you look into an animals eyes, no matter what animal it is, monkey, dog, cat, or even a rat, you don't feel any of their pain. You know they are hurting and your saying you don't care? I know you do. And unlike animals you can tell us when your sad. So tell us, and we will liste. Tell us and stop abusing animals. It's not right to abuse humans and it's not right to abuse animals. Deep down, I know you know this.
Posted by: Katie LaValley at August 14, 2009 11:43 AMI would ask the experimenter why he thought animals don't count. Why those living beings with thoughts and feelings who are capable of having complex relationships don't count when it comes to deserving kindness and respect. I would then ask how many animals he has killed and if he ever felt remorse for it. Animals do not belong to humans. Humans can do whatever they want to houses, cars, toys, property, and other material things because none of those things can think or feel. We cannot, however, use animals in any way we see fitting because they do not belong to us and it is WRONG to harm them. It's wrong to separate them from their social lives and make them live in little cages. It's wrong to stick tubes and needles in them and act like their suffering doesn't matter. Experimenting on animals is WRONG!
Posted by: Melinda at August 14, 2009 11:43 AMWow, you test animals for make up? You might as well you your kids it's the same.
Posted by: Christianna Hurt at August 14, 2009 11:44 AMI would ask them how they could harm something so innocent and if they'd like me to experiment on them! /:
Posted by: Breana Owen at August 14, 2009 11:44 AMEvery life is important. Every life has rights. No life deserves to be put through monstrous tests.
Posted by: Jess Rafalko at August 14, 2009 11:45 AMhey there, so you experiment on animals, right? and you went to college did you? wow, have you had some kind of insane brain transplant, converting all your views to that of what , maybe what a brick wall would say, you know, a wall. You just get in the way of everything and anyone, and need some real strength to change you, most people just go along with you because its too much hassle to use a greener, nicer method. And to be honest, your just made of two things, brick, and a touch of ignorance. Wow ive totally shown your true colours, grey and brown, mate your pretty dull.

--Professor Charles R. Magel
I couldn't state the absolute insanity of animal testing better than this.
Posted by: Vicki at August 14, 2009 11:48 AMa) Why do you do this? What would make you want to? Do you like hurting animals? Wait nevermind, I can answer that myself:yes you do! Wouldn't it be better if someone that money you waste was used to help the world? I mean yes, you are trying to cure cancer [or whatever that one does], but how often do you actually cure cancer in humans? Sure, mice maybe, but not humans. THEY ARE DIFFERENT. I am sure there would be some people willing to get tested on to help cure their cancer. Why use animals when they are helpless and cannot help since they are different? How would you like it? Being treated the way they treat them. Hah! You couldn't do it! You should do something better with yourself.
b)*slap them and then walk away*
You wouldn't test things on your own pets if you knew it might hurt them so why are you doing it to other innocent animals, just because they don't have an owner? Maybe they haven't had a chance to find an owner that loves them because you wont give them the chance.
Posted by: Kimberley at August 14, 2009 11:48 AMto test aesthetics on innocent animals is selfish, vain and its unfair.
we have a voice, animals dont, thats the only difference between us and them, and we need to make sure that we are their voice.
"Have you ever noticed the similarities between Humans and animals?"..."You say yes, but did you know that animals can feel just like humans? Did you know that animals have emotions just like us? Did you know that animals can cry... just...like...us? Did you know what you're doing actually hurts animals? How would you like someone strapping you down and spraying hairspray in your eyes?"..."Oh you wouldn't let them? How do you plan on doing that if you don't have aposable thumbs hmmm? just like animals who are weaker than the average human that tests on them, and they have no voice to stand up for themselves...? Why can't you just use previously made formulas to prevent more animals from being harmed? just think about what you're actuallly doing to these poor beautiful animals!"
Posted by: Rachal Cuomo at August 14, 2009 11:49 AMI would say "How can you ever do something so horrible to a poor little animal? Its not right! How would you feel if someone started testing a product on you that could possibly kill you? and without your consent! And the products are not made for them they are made for HUMANS. Are animals humans? No! They have a completely different anatomy and wont react the same way humans would. So give me one good reason why you do this. Even though i wont believe any of your excuses."
Posted by: Brandi L at August 14, 2009 11:49 AMI would probably go over the basic, oh well if they were doing that to you then you wouldn't like it. Then I would ask if they had a pet and if they did I would say like, Oh what if they took your dog or cat and used them for testing and you had to have it suffer everyday just so you can see if something as stupid as hairspray is harmful to humans.
Posted by: Brandi at August 14, 2009 11:52 AM"How many animal lives have you ruined? How many lives have you improved the slightest bit with the products you test or research you do? No concrete facts are found by testing things before you sell them to a different species! You should be ashamed. I'm ashamed for you."
Posted by: Manon Philion at August 14, 2009 11:52 AMSimply, I am not a monkey, I am not a rabbit, I am not a rat or a cat so please, stop testing on helpless animals and test on yourself!
To the big bad bullies who test - PICK ON SOMEONE YOUR OWN SIZE! You can start with me!
Posted by: Melinda Martins at August 14, 2009 11:52 AMHow could you look into a living creature's eyes, with all the pain, sorrow and hardships you put them through and still sleep soundly at night? How would you feel if you looked into your significant other's / children's / parent's eyes and saw the same sadness? You'd want to take on the world just to make them feel better, right? That's what I'm here for, because they don't have anyone else willing to do that for them, I'm their significant other, parent, child, whatever you want to label me, but it's me who, at the end of the day, will always fight for them endlessly.
Posted by: Nicole at August 14, 2009 11:52 AM"Would you test on your children? Then don't test on our animals."
Posted by: Jess Wandle at August 14, 2009 11:54 AM" You're an asshole, you do realize your testing on your own kind right? Hope you happy."
i would say:
"If an animal accidentally eats a medicine, such as aspirin, they can seize and die. We obviously take aspirin without any problem, so how the hell do you think that testing medicines on animals can give you any idea that it will work on humans? Try testing on someone who has a choice to be tested on."
look right, i'd prefer you tested on me than some innocent little animal. I assume that because you do this for a fucking living, you don't have any pets at home? Or children? Because if you do, i pity them, for having to live with a heartless being like you. Imagine what they must think of you mate, how disgusting they must think you are, how much they despise you for what you do. Test the products on yourself once in a fucking while, see how it feels!
Posted by: Pippa Schofield at August 14, 2009 11:55 AMi would ask: don't you think that animals have their feelings? They are just like us: they have eyes, they have earns, they have legs, they have their noses, they have their HEARTS! Are we, people, so different than animals?? I definitely say: NO WE ARE NOT! People are animals too! The only one little different thing is: we have ..% more intellegence. That is all. But just look, we all(animals and people) can breathe the same air, we can see the same things, we can feel the same joy and pain...
God created animals that they could be our little friends and brothers.
" I'm not trying to tell you how to live your life and I know it's your job, but you are wrong. That is an innocent life...Jus like a baby. You wouldn't test on a child so why an animal? They can't give their consent. It's not humane and it's wrong. It's not a human's right ta take lives...You know what I am saying if you believe in God. So why don't you all do research and find out what you can do besides testing on animals? "
Posted by: Madison at August 14, 2009 11:55 AMi dont think i would say anything, i wouldn't be able to control myself =/
D:
breasts not animal tests!
animals can be afraid of needles too. Their is no need to use them for testing when you can just test on humans.
I would say:
"Why are you doing this to these innocent animals?
Do you know how your hurting the animals?
Would you do this to your own pets?
Or your own children?
What if you were a baby animal and you had to watch your mother slowly come to a death because of some test you wanted to make sure wouldnt hurt people."
I would ask them if they had kids, and then tell them to picture their child in place of the animals that they're testing on. Maybe that would help trigger some sort of passion in them to help get them to realize that what they're doing is absolutely ludicris and incredibly inhumane.
Posted by: Tara at August 14, 2009 11:57 AMi would ask: don't you think that animals have their feelings? I can completely understand why you do what you do, and I understand why the people who support it do so. It is less expensive, and it is a lot easier. But I think you should take the time to think about what you actually are doing. You're confining this animal into a space it cannot move around in, subjecting it to horrible treatments and ghastly side effects, and for what? Animals' DNA is different than human DNA. What may harm a rat or a cat may not harm a human being. I think you need to think long and hard before you go back into work. Think about the animal you test on as a life, and as a soul, and see what you do.
[talking to them is better than yelling]

"How can you do this to such poor, defenceless little animals? Why don't you do the tests on yourself & see how it feels, what kind of person would want their job to be putting poor little creatures through torture & wanting them to suffer with such pain?"
I have always wondered what exactly are the differences between people and animals.
Besides the appearance, how are we different?
We have faces, so do they.
We have to beathe and eat.
So do they.
We put ourselves first in everything, but we also have the ability to want the happiness of others just as our own.
Can you say that animals don't?
Can you say that they don't feel pain as we do
or have empathy and passion just as we do?
Would you test on humans?
If you answer with a NO than why not?
If your answer is a YES, then why don't we test on you?
Animal testing is for the greater good, you say,
but in that case, why don't we test harmful, painful, unbearable substances on you and see how you would like that.
I believe that animal testing is wrong becasue in our case, we get a choice to get tested on or not, and animals do not.
Eventhough they may not be able to complain to the pain you are causing them, it does not make it right.
In truth, they are not that different from us.
Please reconsider what you are doing,
and I hope these words do stay with you.
I am not saying that you are an awful person who deserves to die,
becasue God creates everyone in his image
but I am saying that it is never too late to turn your mistakes around and do the right thing.
Thankyou:)
Posted by: Mayumi at August 14, 2009 12:00 PMI wouldn't attack them, instead I would try to see how they feel about the issue. Such as saying "Do you have any pets at home? If so is it ever hard for you to do your "job"? Have you ever tried thinking how horrible you would feel if your own little innocent pets were nothing more then lab tests? How do you deal with the suffering of those animals? Do you ever have a hard time handling the screaming and crying of the animals? Do you ever get embarrassed when people ask what your job is? Do you stay quiet or do you just tell them? How does your family and children feel about your job? Have you ever tried to ensure that fewer animals are tested on? Have you ever killed an animal just to put it out of it's suffering? Do you ever form any kind of bond with any of the animals? How do you deal with inflicting pain upon it once the bond is made? Do you ever try to imagine how you would feel if you were in the animals shoes?" Those are some of the things I would ask the tester.
Posted by: Tess at August 14, 2009 12:00 PMWOW!
Your such a man(or women)! Your just such a great person testing on animals, for what? Personal satisfaction? A cure? Do you realize that by doing so you harm innocent animals? I bet you never thought about how testing on these affects daily lives of not only the animals, but the people of the animals. Animals having feelings just as much as a real person does. How would you feel if I needed to make sure that my makeup (or something ridiculous like that) was safe so I tested on your wife/husband, and or kid(s). And what if in the process of doing so they got hurt or died? People like you don't think about their actions and kill several innocent animals. Well no longer! I'd rather kill myself, then harm an animal. I don't know how you sleep at night. Stop the abuse. I understand that cancer and such need cures, my Grandmother has had several types of cancer, but regardless the cure needs another way to be found. Animals do not need to suffer every time you THINK you've found a cure. They're are other ways to get the job done. Not using animals in this test is just a minor set back to finding the cure. You and the people you work with should really consider the animals, risks you put them through, and everything else that comes with the cure. And if you continue this work I'm 150% sure that me and hundred even thousands of PETA supporters will here, and will put an end to this!
Now are you going back to work tomorrow? Keep in mind animals have families too, Just like you!
Posted by: Alyssa Perino at August 14, 2009 12:01 PMi would simply ''why not test on me '' ?
Posted by: danielle rose at August 14, 2009 12:01 PMEvery time I hear about animal testing, I think about a book I once read called "Hurt Go Happy".
It was about a deaf girl who befriended a chimpanzee. The chimp was eventually taken away and was experimented and tested on in a cosmetic lab. So the girl found the lab and went in and found the chimp (who was in poor condition from the testing), and the girl told the lab tech, "Chimpanzee's are 99.9% human. That's more human than you people are."
So that's what I'd probably tell them. These poor animals are NOT supposed to be tested and experimented on. It's cruel and inhumane.
" you f*ckin monster! they're bodies aren't even the same as ours ! if you wanna f*ckin do tests do them on me ! not something so helpless & defenseless you f*cker. i'll do everything in my power to bring you down. '
Posted by: Shelby-Lynne at August 14, 2009 12:03 PMConsidering the advancements in ethology, we have discovered the incredible emotional intelligence of the animals that are tested on. They have the capacity to feel, and to think. It should then, by ethical means, be prudent that we find alternative ways to test medications, and other such things. It's also important to note, that psychologically speaking, those who engage in harmful practices to animals have a larger chance of becoming domestic abusers and murderers. Studies have shown that domestic abusers, rapists, and murderers have a history of animal torture. It would be better for science, for humans, and for animals to reduce, and eventually eliminate the practice of animal testing.
Posted by: Amanda Hubbard at August 14, 2009 12:07 PM"How can you, in good conscience, allow something with no voice...no strength to fight you...no chance...to suffer? Posted by: Maggie Holmes at August 14, 2009 12:09 PMYou have to be calm about talking to them. If you're rude and obnoxious, that does nothing for the animals. It just makes them think all animal activists are nut jobs (which certainly is NOT true). I would ask them, calmly and politely, why they test on animals, harming them defenselessly, and not alternatives, like other companies test on.
Posted by: Bailey W. at August 14, 2009 12:09 PMWhat justification does mankind have to say that they are allowed to use animals for their inhuman actions? what makes it known that animals don't have anything to live for? The human race has all the power and technology and we use it to show authority rather than show our compassion. If the animal has the same internal makeup as a human, and knowing the repercussions that follow in testing different treatments to the same organs a human has... why does it make it ok to bring it upon another life that isn't yours. i understand your passion for a cure, but it shows more passion if you reach for other alternatives rather than sacrificing a life that is not your own or doing so without having consent of the other "patient". We were put on this planet in harmony and as equals, and we are all amazing creations, there is no concrete evidence that what you are doing it right.
Posted by: Anabelle Galvez at August 14, 2009 12:10 PM"I hope when you are sleeping at night, you fell horribly guilty for what you are doing. I mean, you don't consider those animal's feelings! Posted by: Andrea Watson at August 14, 2009 12:15 PMI took quite a few biology and genetic classes in high school, and now I'm an animal science major at Michigan State University. I'm having a hard time understanding how on Earth you can legitimately think that the testing being done on those poor defenseless animals is comparable to how the treatment would be received by humans. Rats and people have totally different immune and organ systems; you can't honestly believe that this testing isn't totally useless!
There are plenty of alternatives to animal testing; these guys can't even speak up for themselves, so someone has to be their voice! Breasts not animal tests!
Would you torture your kids by doing human testing? Don't test on animals!!!
Posted by: julie jones at August 14, 2009 12:17 PM"Honestly, what's the point? Why don't you do all the horribly cruel tests on yourself and see how you like it, What did the animals ever do to you?"
Posted by: Cecilia MacDuff at August 14, 2009 12:18 PMI'd say:
"Why test on animals, when you can test on breasts and save two lives" =]
I know how it feels to lose someone to breast cancer. And yet I still don't feel it is nessisary to conduct experiments on animals. For one animals have different tissues and are going to react differently than humans to certain drugs. And another thing is why infect more living creatures with cancer than there already are. Why can't you just conduct these experiments on people who are already infected? It's a harsh reality but if you conduct these experiments on people who already have cancer and they get worse, well I mean they were already going to die. So why risk more lives, wether it be a human or a poor defensless animal.
Posted by: Caitlin Nooner at August 14, 2009 12:18 PMWhat would I say to an animal experimenter? I'd be too angry for words! But if I did manage to speak I'd say "You are a murderer and torturer of the innocent, one day Karma will get you, in this life or the next".

But at this point, i think its to late. Nameste.

Posted by: Aarohee at August 14, 2009 12:25 PMI can't believe you'd do that. How would you like that if someone did that to you, your family, brother, sister, mother, father, or friend? All those test against your will with little to no food or interaction? Wallowing in your own missery and excrament? Would you approve of this if it was human? If the answer is no, then why do it to something that cant defend itself? You're a spineless coward. That's all I have to say to you. Good day.

Posted by: bella at August 14, 2009 12:27 PMIt might seem to make sense to test new medical procedures on animals because while they are living breathing beings they aren't humans, and because they aren't human nothing wrong is being done. But it is quite the contrary. Animals of any kind react very differently than humans do to different kinds of medications so while you may have cured cancer in mice you clearly have made no headway in humans. Oh and also if you pump a mouse with an elephants dose you are bound to get favorable results.

I believe each animal should be treated equally and with respect, not like a piece of trash. Anyone who does that to an animal shouldn't have the right to keep one as their "pet". I will not support any companies that test on animals or continue to use them in any experiments that cause pain and harm."
Posted by: Kayleigh S. at August 14, 2009 12:30 PMTesting on animals to save humans, (despite being a horribly atrocious crime against those innocent lives) makes you look like the dumb ones, and as far as evolution goes, with survival of the fittest comes survival of the smartest, we hopefully won't have to deal with you all for much longer!

Just because a mouse or some other animal reacts to the many harmful and painful chemicals in a way that may possibly signify you're coming closer to a cure for cancer, does not mean a human will react as they do. You're putting animals through unbelievable pain and torture for no reason. I understand you want to find a cure for cancer; my grandmother is suffering from breast cancer as we speak and I would love for a cure to be found. But, testing on animals is not the way to do so. Why don't you put yourself in the tiny cages you keep the many mice in, and pump yourself with all those different chemicals? After that I want you to tell me that you still stand behind what you are doing. Maybe if you had some type of passion in your hearts for the animals you are hurting then you'd actually stop and spend your time finding a reliable and realistic way to help to cure cancer."

Why do we test on animals, they are genetically different, and unlike humans innocent in all ways.
Why do we take the inoccent and stab at them with needles, prod at their brains, leave them on the hard floor of their cages as you leave the office to go grab a coffee, and chat with friends like nothing ever happened.
We have prisons full of child molestors, murderers, and flat out sick people.
PEOPLE, who have the same exact genes as what you need to study.
Harm the guilty not the innocent,

Posted by: Diana at August 14, 2009 12:48 PMYes, testing is necessary, but not on animals. It may be cheaper monetarily to use animals, but what about spiritually? All those lives, all that pain-- how do you live with yourself at the end of the day? Don't you ever think of what those animals are going through while you're laying warm in your bed? There are alternatives to animal testing, and they're only more expensive because they are more effective- the tissue is closer to the biological makeup of humans than any animal is. Stop the harassment, stop the pain, stop the torture. Open your eyes and learn some compassion for these poor animals who have no way to help themselves.

"when you decided to be a scientist, you probably wanted to help the greater good and do something positive for the world. what you're doing to innocent animals is exactly the opposite. i honestly do not understand how you can continue doing horrible, painful tests(that would be considered inhumane if done on humans)on the most sweet and innocent of god's creation. how can you sleep at night with the screams of innocents ringing in your head, with blood still on your hands? you may look on the human experiments by nazi doctors in world war 2 as the epitome of evil, but you are doing the exact same thing to a living creature. your experiments are no less evil than those of josef mengele or adolf eichmann, yet you continue to perform them. women everywhere are still dying of breast cancer, yet you still perform these experiments. the biology and anatomy of a mouse or a rabbit is similar, yet nowhere near identical to that of a human. yet you still perform these experiments. these needless, sick, twisted experiments. may god have mercy on your sadist's soul.
How does it feel to use your power over another living creature to save a buck? What does it fee like to see an animal suffer because of something you did to it? Don't you have any respect for yourself, for your job, for what you are as a person? There doesn't have to be any pain and suffering inflicted on the innocent- the animals. Who else will continue this madness for a company? And why? You all ought to be ashamed of yourselves! You have no right to treat anyone, or anything, this way. There is no point in animal experiments no matter HOW 'good' or 'bad' they might seem. Have you opened up a book yet? I suggest you do so, you might learn a thing or two about what we need and do not need to experiment on. How would you like it if you were experimented on? Not only are these experiments cruel and unusual punishment for animals, but it's another action that shows how greedy, shelfish, and self centered human beings really are. Way to go. Keep up the stereotypes we have brought upon ourselves. When a few people try to make a difference and stand up for what's right, we'll be sure to look at you guys, the ones doing all the tests on animals who can't even fight back. I think it's time to evolve and move on from the middle ages.
Posted by: Mary at August 14, 2009 1:02 PMAnimal testing is wrong, it is cruel and degrading to animals. obviously tesearch needs to be done but not by testing on animals. that just wastes time and money since humans and the rodents they test on aren't even structured the same

Posted by: Brenda at August 14, 2009 1:32 PMWell, of course I’d give them a mouthful. (:
I’d say. . . “We have some pretty lousy scientists. What you’re doing is wrong. I appreciate the fact that you’d like to save people, but why sacrifice an innocent life for experiments that aren’t even working? You’ve been doing the same things for years now, constantly torturing and taking away innocent lives, and yet still getting the same results. Who is this helping? People always get the same answers from you... You’re asked, ‘how can you treat another life this way, seeing their pain and hearing their screams, knowing they can never escape this torture? Knowing they’re in pain and seeing it in their eyes?’ But all you ever come up with is ‘We’re working to cure cancer.’ Well I have something to say to that; if you’ve been doing the same things for ages now, and getting the same results, this just looks like senseless killing. And it is. But for some reason you feel the need to continue with this? Animals are not people, so that’s great if you can cure THEIR cancer, but the last time I checked, we are not small, nor furry, or have tails or four legs, so THEIR cure isn’t helping us, and at the rate you’re going, it doesn’t look like it ever will. And it’s not helping them either, especially when they’re usually dying in the process. You’re shortening the life span of a being that could be happy & free, but you think it’s helping to keep them captive in small, uncomfortable, and ultimately cruel spaces and force damaging chemicals into their bodies, causing them to become very ill and die slow, painful deaths, dying unhappy, scared, and ultimately alone. I don’t understand how treating an animal this way could possibly aid in helping anyone. We already have all the cosmetics we could possibly need, and then some. Why are you still killing animals for it? We don’t need any more. And you just test for the same products over and over again! Why not just take information from a previous product and work from there? No harm done to anyone. How would you feel if someone took a child that was close to you, and did horrible, brutal tests on them, knowing that it doesn’t seem too likely for them to work? You’d want to put a stop to it immediately, even if the child wasn’t close to you. And even worse… What if they injected disease into that child? You know it’s not right. But what I don’t understand is… How you can’t see that this is the exact same thing as what you’re doing; those animals are suffering, in pain. Afraid. But they can’t say “Stop” or “It hurts” or even fight back...All they can do is scream, and that should be stronger than any words. You’ve made them too sick to do so. People don’t want diseases, and neither do animals. We have doctors to cure human diseases, and veterinarians to cure animal diseases. But not you’re putting them back in? That’s a huge middle finger to the medical field. Think of your ideal life. Happy, free, safe. Why shouldn’t these animals be able to have the same? But what you’ve done to them is the exact opposite. And this is not the life they want to live.
And why don’t you do these tests on people? Because you know it’s wrong. You know the pain it causes, you know the side effects. You know it’s not working.
But what do you care? You’re just as cold as the table you kill them on.
Think about it.”
Side comment : "I've never known anyone, or been able myself, to look at an animal in pain and not care, or not try to help. I cry when I hear people on TV talk about how much they miss their pets after they pass, and to see people who do things like this on purpose is so hurtful, and something needs to be done about it."
These are my honest beliefs and I hope that I can help to make a difference.

If you are testing on animals for the sake of science and human kind, why not test on yourself? How would you like to be exposed to radiation and toxic chemicals that would peel the skin off of your bones and make all your hair fall out? I don't think anyone would like that. Animals are meant to walk alongside humans,to keep them company,to bring a smile upon their face and yet you decide to abuse them, torture them, make them go through so much pain. Posted by: Alex at August 14, 2009 2:50 PMOh there are many things I would LOVE to tell an animal experimenter. I would start off asking them why they would torture an animal in a laboratory, then go home to a similar animal and shower it with love. Next I would mention the statistics regarding the number of animal tests that fail in human studies and that their pain and suffering is just like ours, but our similarities end there. As they are 'scientists,' I would let them once know again all of the animals tested on have nervous systems and because of it they are able to feel pain and suffering as we do. The end the conversation telling the researchers about Bobo, an ape taught sign language who was unfortunate enough to end up in a lab, but even after being separated from her trainer for 10 years, she still recognized her friend, signing both of their names during a surprise visit. When her trainer left, she very obviously was upset, shrinking back into her cage and looking down. If that isn't evidence she was depressed, I don't know what is. All animals in labs feel this way, and with all of the humane alternatives, they are suffering needlessly.

They shouldnt be considered scientists. We should call them murderers.

Posted by: Jaime at August 14, 2009 3:40 PMTo put it simply, I wouldn't have a go at these people, but perhaps ask them why they are still bothering with research that doesn't work. (unsarcastically) If you know absolutely anything about the human body, which you should from all those years of college you need to have a job like this, you should know that these animal's bodies are absolutely nothing like our own. Things that are toxic to us may have no effect on them, and vice versa. Thousands of medicines are recalled due to the fact that they had different effects on the animals then they did on the humans. You should also know, from being the "bigshot scientest" that you are, that there are many other easier, and more effective ways to test out these cures. For all you know, you've already found it, and it isn't working on these animals, like it would on us. I'm not saying that breast cancer isn't a big deal. I'm not saying it's not important, trust me, my grandma had it, and there was a period of time when we believed my mom had it. But what I'm trying to say is that there are so many better ways that wouldn't sacrifice an animal's life to potentially save our own."

Posted by: Casandra at August 14, 2009 5:14 PMHow could you harm such an innocent life in this world? Do you think that just because an animal can be significantly weaker than you that you can drag it into a life full of pain and unnatural disease and death? Think about how you would feel if people were poking you with needles and syringes all day. You wouldn't like it either. Not to mention the pain that you would feel due to people so cruel as to test a "medicine" on you that they knew would cause you your death. You don't have to be a religious man to realise that someone, or something put everything on the Earth for a reason. Every person, every animal, and every plant has a purpose in life, which I highly doubt is the sole purpose to be disposed of from cruel testing. But that's not even the worst part. The part that bothers me most is the fact that you chose to do this job, you chose to watch helpless animals die at your hands. And yet you ask society to grant you forgivness because you're working towards a "cure"? The only cure that would be good for anything would be for you to quit your job. That would cure a lot of artifical disease being inflicted on animals who have no say in what happens in their lifetime. No 'civil' person that I know would knowingly kill an innocent life for their own profit, even if it was trying to work for the betterment of disease in society. What you do for a living is a sick and cruel job, and if you ask me to grant you respect for attempting to cure cancer you can have my outright word that I think of you as disgusting.

An animal as small as a mouse may not be as great as you and I on the outside, but inside all that fur is a giant heart and a desire to live life to the fullest. They have the same organs, in the same places, with different proportions, but what makes them have any less of significance than us humans? You may look at them as 'just' an animal, a rodent, easily replaced. But, perhaps there are things you are not seeing. Perhaps in the mouse/rat community, they have morals and rules and relationships, discrimination, quarrels, good Samaritans, bad seeds, just like us humans do? Perhaps they have their own little world of their own, just like ours, with neighborhoods and streets, maybe even their own language. But there is a difference between rodent and human- they aren't harming us. They aren't intentionally doing things to hurt us, they aren't taking advantage of us, or testing on us, or anything of the sort. The most they do to us, is give us a little scare, or chew threw our walls. Bad? They're hungry. We dig through their dirt, whats the difference? WRONG!
There are many ways to test and see. There are times like today where i read on the back of a product to, TEST IT ON YOURSELF TO MAKE SURE YOUR NOT ALLERGIC. If we still have to do that then what was the point of testing it on an animal?! people still break out,get rashes, skin swelling, etc. Testing animals dosent only hurt the animal but it damages their mind, It's like gathering humans and putting them in labs against their will to be tested on ! The only reason why they do it is because the animals are helpless they cant fight or talk. So, we have 2 do it for them. Animal testing ot only breaks the animals spirit but it breaks the heart of ALL animal lovers. It dosent feel good when you get hurt does it? think of a situatuion when you were in so much pain that you couldnt bear it and you HAD to get help or else.....now imagine going through that pain and no one is there to help you and you are left there to die...ANIMAL TESTING IS WRONG!

I really don't know how you think testing on animals to essentially "cure" cancer is justified? I, like anyone else, see how important research to end the suffering of human beings with this horrible illness is; but how can one say that we as a species are superior to any other? In order to decrease the suffering of our species, you make other species suffer. I for one, do not see how such a practice is acceptable. I admit, I have the boobs of a healthy woman, but if I didn't I wouldn't want to attempt to counteract my suffering by doing such a horrible feat; My wellness and diagnosis would lay in the hands of god, while the wellness of the animals with which are being used to find a cure, would fall in my hands. I wouldn't want to live with that burden.
Only heartless people can find more "pros" than "cons" in a situation like this. Why don't you walk your sorry ass home, and try to make a living doing something humane? We all know that you don't give a "rat's ass" about the people you are sopposedly doing this for. All you care about is the money, and the "fame" of being that one scientist that found the cure to cancer. How can you be so selfish? This of the amount of damage you are causing in order to live up to this. Is it really worth it? Will God forgive you for the unneeded slauter of his creations? or will he send you to the pits of hell?
"Animals have pain censors in their brains; they feel emotions just as we do. Yet you treat these poor creatures just as you would a disposable paper cloth. Where is the humanity in this? Animals have different biological markers then humans, thus them being non-human. Your 'answers" were be gotten at the pain of animals, yet they might not be capable of being used on humans. Similar to the manner that cancer is a curable disease in rats, but still kills millions of humans every year. Just as HIV/AIDS started in monkeys as a harmless virus that many monkeys have in the African jungles, but has become a International Pandemic. I have a feeling that this result is not limited to these examples but expands too many more. Unfortunately your ignorance will not allow you to realize this until millions of animals have died horrible deaths at your hands and your colleague’s "

Posted by: at August 14, 2009 7:10 PMWell, obviously there is not some sort of ethics test to become a scientist because if there were, you wouldn't be able to become one. Could you test on your own pet? Could you strap your animal to a cold, metal table and implant chips into it's brain while it is still conscious and able to feel pain? Could you do that to your CHILD? If you don't think you could then you shouldn't be doing what you are doing to these animals. They are completely able to feel as much as you and I both do yet you torture them as though they are inanimate objects that can not feel anything. You are quite a heartless person and what goes around comes around so if I were you, I would change my actions and hope that what comes back around isn't as severe as what you have done. do u think is really ethic to try things first with an animal..??
if u are a scientist, u pretty much understand that animals have much more strong inmmunity system, obviously different body, blood, shape, hair..etc.., besides, they feel , they are LIVES!.. how would u feel if someone takes ur son away from u... not just that... starts placing things on him, make him take weird substances, and of course, none does anything to help him, oh yeah, because they wanna know if is bad for humans, well... it pretty much will be, starting by the fact that whatever the substances are... they're not natural, but what if... just saying what if... u try first in criminals??? that wouldn't be that bad.. they're in jail for a reazon... they're bad bad people... but wait.. oh yeah.. they can feel... and they're alive!... true true... so... how come u do it in animals??? , it really doesn't make any sence... animals have done nothing but keep on the ecosystem that people is destroying... and not just that , u threat them as crap, u people should undestand that instead of keep on creating new crap should start by trying to reforest this earth, stop messing with animals, and undestand that without nature we do NOT EXIST, is vital for us, and is not just about trees..! animals make a HUGE part on nature, without them there's not... guess what...TREES!!! stop messsing with animals!!!! do it to urself if u are so dessperate to try new things!!! is not ethical to try on animals!!!!
I wouldn't have anything to "say" to a person who experiments on animals. But they'd DEFINITELY understand that I hate them. I don't really hate many people, but people who test on animals deserve all the pain they've given to those poor animals but tripled. At the minimum.
Posted by: Bree Bree at August 14, 2009 7:57 PMI would remind them of a lot of facts; how animals feel the same amount of pain as humans do and how wring it is to use them as mere objects for test that do not even work. I would make them realize that they are giving cancer to innocent lives and making them suffer and go through a lot of pain. I would tell them to focus on real alternatives that actually work for cures. Animals need to stop being used! People need to stop the useless and time wasting tests that only put animals through so much pain and focus on finding cures without using animals and that are not working. Just like humans, animals ado not deserve to go through and pain, any agony, and any suffering. We should make sure that no human or animal has to suffer from cancer, this should be your main goal!

I look in their eyes and cherish every moment I have with them. Because, if I killed animals, and knew that it could be not needed, I couldn't live with myself. Animals are living beings, and I can't kill living beings. What aspires you to do such things?"

They are no different than us and feel pain as we do, feel fear as we fear it, and cry in agony as we do. The only difference between us is that they cannot be heard, they cannot resist. Just because they cannot tell you to stop, doesn't mean you should take advantage of them. it makes me cringe when i see the cruelty being inflicted on these poor friends of ours. if we are so far in human research that we can make clones of our bodies then why cant they find a substitute for animal cruelty, its a waste of money and a waste of life. If you beleive in god or not we can all agree that murder isn't acceptable. i just hope that we can all take a stand and fight for what these animal deserve! we need to face these murderers and tell them what we think is right, and only can we hope that simple human decency and power in numbers can give us the power to make them aware of their actions!

WAS IT IS THE MONEY THAT FIRST INTERESTED YOU OR DO YOU JUST NOT MIND WORKING FOR A COMPANY THAT DOES SUCH THINGS? KINDA LIKE OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND OR ARE YOU NOT AN ANIMAL PERSON? HOW DO YOU CHOOSE WHICH ITEMS WILL BE TESTED ON WHAT TYPE OF ANIMAL? DO YOU YOURSELF DO THE TESTING OR DO YOU WATCH AND DOCUMENT THE RESULTS? WHAT HAPPENS WHEN AN ANIMAL HAS AN ALLERGIC REACTION TO A PRODUCT, THEN WHAT? SOME ALLERGIC REACTIONS ARE FAR WORSE THEN OTHERS, THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF RASHES AND IF ITS BAD ENOUGH, THEIR THROATS COULD CLOSE UP AND THE ANIMAL WILL STOP BREATHING. I'M SURE THAT DIFFERENT "TEST SUBJECTS" WILL BE EFFECTED DIFFERENTLY, JUST LIKE DIFFERENT PEOPLE WOULD BE. SOMEONE COULD BE ALLERGIC TO SOMETHING IN A PRODUCT THAT WOULD NOT BOTHER ANOTHER PERSON IN THE SMALLEST WAY. HOW CAN YOU SEE HURT ANIMALS WITH RASHES AND SUCH EVERYDAY AND IT NOT PULL A HEART STRING? THESE POOR ANIMALS DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE WHETHER OR NOT THEY'LL END UP BEING TESTED ON OR NOT. HOW CAN YOU BE COMFORTABLE WORKING IN SUCH AN ENVIRONMENT? DO YOU HAVE BINS IN LOCKED ROOMS THAT HOLD THE CORPSES OF ALL YOUR DEAD "TEST SUBJECTS"? I HAVE NO CLUE, HOW SOMETHING SO TORTUROUS & HORRIBLE COULD BE LEGAL. ALL I CAN REALLY SAY IS THAT, I SURE HOPE THAT SOMETHING WILL BE DONE, AT SOME POINT IN THE NEAR FUTURE, TO STOP ALL ABUSE ON ANIMALS BY USING THEM AS "PRODUCT TEST SUBJECTS".

Animal testing serves no purpose since products are recalled due to adverse reactions because humans and animals are different.
Just because it is cheaper to test an animal does not mean that its right or proper. Its wasteful, harmful, and more expensive in the end.
Its an expense of a life!!
I would tell them that they might view animals as disposable and the product result more valuable, but that their behaviors reflect that they are lacking a moral conviction that all humans should respect and practice. Animals have a right to live as well; and it will result in nothing but bad karma.
Posted by: Larisa at August 14, 2009 11:15 PM"why must you people make these animals suffer and cry? do you not think that they feel pain them selfs or for lost ones like humans do? the human population is over populated so why not kill people for your tests? it's not like animals have the same genes as humans anyways"
Posted by: Briana Dillon at August 14, 2009 11:17 PMI feel heartbroken for the many animals who suffer on a continuous basis do to your ignorance, lack of intellect, compassion and respect for all living creatures. It takes a certain being to participate in an act which supports animal testing whether it be the act itself or simply a turn of the head in order to avoid the TRUTH - which I am SURE you are faced with each day!
It makes me sad to know that there are actually people in this world who can sleep at night and carry on during the day as you do with no consideration or care for life beyond your own little world in which you cynically try to justify.
The anger and hurt that fills my heart for these precious little lives in which YOU torture is unmeasurable and undefinable. For the sake of humanity and the innocent lives that you inflict both emotional and physical pain upon, I pray that you find it in your heart to put an end to all that you can. That you truly look deep into your heart and realize that what you are condoning is beneath you if you would only let yourself see.
YOU of ALL people are in a position to make a major impact on putting an end to this evil and unnecessary behavior if you would only stand up for what is right!! I don't know what it is that you truly believe, but if you have the slightest bit of a heart then I know you FEEL somewhere deep down that we need to STOP THIS ABUSE - STOP THE PAIN and STOP THE SUFFERING!!! It's not too late for you if you truly repent and dedicate yourself to make a change for the better.
I don't wish harm on you. I only pray that you will let yourself see, be truly remorseful and join us to put an end to animal cruelty! You are better than this! And I believe that you can can change.
In the case that you are one of those who does not have a heart, which I do not believe that you are, well then... may God have mercy on your soul!
With the deepest sincerity,

I would say:
"So u think that its ok to torture animals so that ur company wont get sued? So do you like the screams of pain that the animals yell? How would you like if U were put in a test for a anti-tick medicine for dogs/cats? How would you like to be confined in a cage that isnt big enough for you to turn around in? How would you like to know that u are going to die? HOW CAN YOU DO THE THINGS YOU DO!!??"

"If you wanted equal rights as a human being, then that whats animals deserve too. Just because they can't talk like us or walk like us, doesn't give you guys the rights to experiments or torture them. They have feelings and a heart, they can feel pain like we feel pain. It is not right to experience things and put stuff inside their bodies. Even though, you guys THINK you're doing the right thing because it is for a cure, it is still wrong because you're hurting animals in the progress. If you guys dont like being hurt, then dont do it. Because thats exactly how they feel too."

how dou sleep at night knowing that you have merdered all those inicent animals what did they ever do to you didnt your mothner ever teach you to treat others how you want to be treated animals have just as much right to live as you do and i can promis you that god did not make animals just so you can torture, kill, and teast on them and you should rot in jail for what you are doing to them. words can not express how much i hate what you do. you are a monster and i hope you fall in a hole.
Animals can't speak for themselves. We, as humans, can. Have people volunteer to get tested instead of animals.Pay them to get tested, i'm sure there's a lot of people who would test themselves for money. Have those people sign a contract that says if anything happens to them, it isn't the testers fault. The animals shouldn't be tested for human products. Humans should be tested for human products and research. Animals should be tested for the same reasons. Also to better them.

It is NOT okay. What I wanna know is this: How can live with yourself? How can you sleep at night knowing that the tests you're conducting are killing animals? Animals with hearts. Animals with souls. One more thing. What if we were to turn things around and test on you? How would you feel about that? You wouldn't like it, would you? No. You'd want to fight for yourself, right? Well the animals you're killing don't like it either. And people like me, people who have hearts, are fighting for them and their rights and living members of the world. ALL are created equal.

Well, who gives you the right to test something who won't consent? My body doesn't come close to that of these poor creatures you're harming. Why would I want something that's tested on an animal in my body when it will most likely fail anyway because we don't have anything in common. You're feeding the economy crisis by wasting our money to buy and perform cruel tests.
Oh, if you're all for the name of saving the world- then why don't you strap yourself down and let me perform the cruel methods on your precious body. I think we'd find out the answer to a few things and open your mind really quick.

Posted by: Sloane at August 15, 2009 11:13 AM"How do you sleep at night when you know that during the day you are torturing the planet's most innocent and beaufitul creatures? Testing on animals is not nearly as bad as testing on humans.... humans can cry out when they feel pain, using words. Animals can only scream with fury, pain and terror, knowing that they can do nothing to stop the horrific things from happening to them. Why do you do this? Pick on someone of your OWN species! Is it really that hard to understand that your "testing" is wrong and torturous to the animals? And don't you come back at me with the whole 'oh, but we're helping humans by doing this to the animals, they don't know better. We're helping the humans, we're testing medicine.' Because I will not tollerate that. If you're testing medicines for HUMANS they why on earth are you testingt them on animals? Given, some animals have similar anatomy, but how are you supposed to test what happens to a human if they take this, or use this, or smeer this all over their skin if you're testing it on a bunny or something? It's incredible to think how many of us humans seem to have no compassion for the animals that love us so dearly."
Love,
Karly Coleman
If you have cured mice of cancer and it didn't work on humans why on earth do you keep testing on them? A rats body is different from a humans body and they react to medicine differently. Listen up, not only will animal testing cause the animal a large amount of pain but it is also WRONG. Its animal cruelty. Animals aren't like us humans. If something is hurting humans we could fight back or at least yell out for help. But wait, animals can't do that. They can't fight back like we can. That is the reason why I need to be that animals voice. What you are doing to these animals is cruel, heartless, horrible, and 100% wrong. My point is that animals are defenseless and they can't do anything to tell you it hurts, they can't fight, they can't tell you to stop. But I can do something. So stop doing this, its disgusting, depressing, and its MURDER. I want to fight for these animals and give them a voice that everyone will hear!
Posted by: Jessica Penate at August 15, 2009 1:04 PMFirst off, I'd sit them down with a nice icy vegan beer. Then I'd offer them something crunchy to snack on. Then, I'd ask them how they like their beer. Delish, right? I'd ask them how awesome it feels to indulge in life's pleasures. I'd grin very large and then ask if every living creature is entitled to indulge in a fulfilling life and wait to hear the reply. When they answer yes, I'd ask why they don't let their creatures live this type of life. Why it's so easy to sit here and drink a beer while probably an hour ago, they were shoving chemicals into a creatures body, completely erasing any chance of that creature having a fulfilling life.
Posted by: Jenny Dempsey at August 15, 2009 1:04 PMI would ask them why? Why would you ever hurt an innocent, defenseless animal? What good comes of it? Does it bring you joy to see him or her writhing in pain and sadness because you don't have enough decency to protect it rather than hurt it? How would you feel giving birth to a child that was forced into you just to know it will be shipped off to some lab and tested on until it dies? Would you want that for your child? I doubt it, so why do you want that for the children of all of animals you breed to kill? What about God, for those of you who believe in him, do you think he approves of you murdering his creations? Do you think you'll be treated any differently when it comes to your judgment day for murdering animals than for killing a human? Once again I doubt it. On another hand humans an animals are NOT THE SAME! They will most likely react differently to everything you are testing and how will that help people? Say it works on a rat or a bunny.... they are rodents. I HIGHLY doubt that rodents and people have the same issues. And the few things our genetic makeup does share probably won't make the testing anymore useful. All I'm saying is that you need to show a little love to those little sweeties that didn't nothing to you!

Posted by: Alicia at August 15, 2009 1:58 PMI'd say to those jerks: It'd be one thing if what you were testing on animals was MEANT for the animals, but since that NEVER happens, it's just wrong! If you need to test how harmful something might be, why are you trying to sell it in the first place? If there's a chance that the newest cosmetic item is going to give people cancer, then why are you taking that risk? How do you sleep at night knowing you've caused so many defenseless and innocent animals harm just so you can make money? Where are your morals? How would you feel if you were the animal? You'd be scared out of your mind. When cats and dogs are abused, it's illegal. When lab rats and other test animals are being used for horrible and inhumane tests, it's called "research". Do you have pets? If you do, would you let any of them be used in the name of "research"?

Posted by: paige at August 15, 2009 11:31 PMWhat the frig is wrong with you? YOU are a murderer! And obviously youd have to enjoy killing innocent things to do animal testing. You could say "well, we are more important than animals, we need to find a cure" yeah, well guess what. We may be "higher" than animals (not saying I think that) but how many animals have you killed, oppose to how many cures you have actually found? And with the friggin technology we have today, why do we still have to test on animals? The answer is we don't!! And how can you heart those poor animals crying, practically BEGGING you to stop, and then keep going?! Just to practically have another animal to throw in a grabage bag. How can you look at it as,
" op! another failure....lets try it again!" like seriously? It makes me so friggin mad, sad...and ERGG!!! I hate animal testing, and I will not stop saying it till it stops!!!
ANIMAL TESTING BREAKS HEARTS!!!!!!!

I'd say " What would happen if I took your child or wife/husband and started experimenting on them? You say that's not the say thing? then why do you kill animals or keep them locked in cages to experiment products on? If it's not going to be used for animals, then don't test it on animals. Treat others as you would want to be treated, so would you like to be tested on products and kept in cramped cages with nowhere to turn? No, I dont think so, so why don't you educate yourself and realize what's right and what's humane."

So, here I am. I'm going to talk for them. I'm telling you of the pain that you put animals though. This can't go on. These animals' bodies differ much from human bodies, and you definitely know that. So, how can a group of people so smart act so ignorantly? You're wasting time with unnecessary cruelty. We force them to undergo such horrific experiments so we can better ourselves. But, really, aren't we just making it worse? Animals have different bodies than us. Posted by: Kate at August 16, 2009 3:27 PMMy aunt is a breast cancer survivor. She knew how much I truly disapprove of animal testing, and when her doctor mentioned that her some of the treatments she might receive were tested on animals first, she told the doctor, "NO THANK YOU!" Not only was the doctor surprised at her refusing, but he was also surprised at what I told him when he asked why my aunt said no. "When people say 'modern science has come so far' they are lying through their teeth. If modern science has come as far as people think, we would not still be relying on animals to 'test' the products and medicine that make us beautiful and heal us. There is no moral or logical reason to test on animals, the chances of a breast cancer treatment working on an animal AND a human, are nest to nothing. Why would any sane person spend all that money, time and effort on a lost cause?" The doctor attempted to interrupt me by saying
"Our testing animals are treated with the upmost respect, and the testing doesn't hurt them. Animals don't feel pain like humans, so it is only logical we test our medicine on them." He thought he could convince me that it’s OKAY to test on animals; he didn't know I had all the answers. I finished by telling him “Animals are not humans, I don't care if cancer has been cured in every animal known to man, THEY ARE NOT A MAN. Trapping a monkey or mouse in a small cramped cage and pumping chemicals into them to 'cure cancer for humans' is not logical, respectful, and it is most definitely NOT moral. Animals do feel pain, they are not some mindless zombie that you can hurt and kill over and over again because 'they can't feel pain' if you know anything, which you should YOU'RE A DOCTOR, you would know animals are NOTHING like humans, why on Earth would anyone with a brain think different?" The doctor was moved to say the least, he knew my Aunt wouldn't do any of his treatments and no matter how much we tried to change his mind, he said the hospital couldn't change their testing policy. We were disappointed, but the doctor helped us find a hospital we could go to where their treatments weren't tested on animals. We finally found a hospital, and my aunt was cured. The doctor that wouldn't budge, quit his job at the hospital the day my aunt was cured of her breast cancer, and he now works at the hospital that does not test on animals.
CROSSPOSTED ON MYSPACE
"Imagine having nowhere to call home but the freezing rock hard floor of the cage you have been locked in, unable to even turn a full 360 degrees and stretch your limbs? You can't help but think of anything but your loved ones...If you are young and incapable of taking care of yourself, imagine being pulled from your mother's tender, loving embrace into the lifeless grip of a giant. As he attempts to hold your squirming body still, it covers your mouth and begins to PIERCE completely through your arms, legs, and even your organs with a series of long, sharp needles into various parts of you like some kind of voodoo doll. The monster does this, you fear, to ensure you cannot move and are stuck in place for him to carry out any sinister deed it chooses more easily. Why won't this predator just eat you and stop prolonging this torture? You definitely don't think you deserve it. You cry out for help but nobody who cares is around to hear you. In fact, they are not allowed anywhere near you. If you are the mother or father of a beautiful baby, imagine the monster drugging you, causing you to become disoriented and HELPLESS as they remove you from your child, never to see the love of your life ever again. Would you just forget about them? Do you think you'd be bothered at all about that? Traumatized even? The monster doesn't believe you are capable of retaining memories or feeling emotions. How do you feel about that? The monster claims he is injecting crude substances in you and slicing off crucial body parts and conducting unnecessary experiments to understand the nature of problems and diseases his own species is victim too. He mutters something about how you are not dying in vein, not suffering for nothing. He tells you you are saving millions of lives, really "taking one for the team." What he does not tell you is the vast number of creatures just like yourself he has conducted this same experiment on, never resulting in any helpful results or beneficial conclusions. What he does not tell you is how many years a room FULL of creatures just like him have all been trying to do the same thing, never seeing any results but ending the day with a variety of species in severe pain, wishing for death, missing body parts, new body parts sown on, organs cut out.......What a horrible, horrible way to live. But oh well, you've seen it all before, same routine different day. Isn't that right Mr. Scientist?

Posted by: at August 16, 2009 5:34 PMwhat would you do if you were born in this world with no voice, no right to say, "hey i matter"
imagine what those poor animals have to go through every day of their life; Every thing on this earth has a purpose, has a meaning. You have no right to take some thing that cant defend itself and cruely torture it for no reason. Animals are "beings" that means they feel and they hurt just like us. Why dont you step out of your little box and see the big picture, "tough guy." and go pick on some one your own size.
what i would say?
"hey look at this!"
next thing you know hes staring down the barrel of a .45.
then i would say:
"i think im going to test this on your face to see if it works right. ok?"
at this he said, what are you getting at?!?!"
i said" you test on animals that dont need to die so i think i might test this on you to see if you die. or i can just put this away and you can swear on your mommas grave you stop testing on animals. your smart enough to make something inanimate to test it on. so ima go to the shootin range...... count your lucky stars......"
I don't know that there's anything to be said, I guess you could endeavor to explain how horrible what they do is and the type of things they deserve for doing it. But the only thing that's ultimately true is that if these "people", these monsters, can live with themselves everyday knowing what they've done, the immeasurable pain and suffering they've caused, nothing anyone can say will make them feel the torture in their hearts that they truly deserve. There are no words to quantify what they've done or the pain they deserve and there's nothing strong enough to show them that they are the ones without meaning. They're less than human.

Posted by: at August 16, 2009 9:33 PMOne simple question:
"Why?"
"Think about it."
If I saw one of these horrible, despicable people I would ask them if they love their lipstick color(obviously for a female). I would ask them if one of their children had cancer, how would they want their child to be treated? Seeing as how an animal may have some similar organs to the humans the truth is that they're animals. Not humans. If their mother was diagnosed with breast cancer would they want to try treatment on her that has been used on animals? There is different ways to determine if something will work on a human or not and the animals shouldn't have to suffer more than already do at our cost. We take away their trees, and homes. To use it for our own purpose, we are the ones who should have to cope with the suffering not those poor animals. Have they ever asked you to try on some blush? No, I highly doubt that. How can you sleep at night knowing you use animals living, breathing, creatures for purpose which can be avoided. It is because of ignorant fools like you that this earth is in the state that it is in. You're taking these animals for granted, I hope that one day you will be treated the way that you have treated these animals.

But I'd also have to step back and look at them, in their eyes, and try to see what was so different about them.
I'd try to see if I could see any physical differences, because obviously there were so many mentally.
I'd ask them if I looked any different than the people they worked with, that abuse animals. I'd ask if they could notice that I love animals and have chosen a completely different lifestyle than them.
And I'd ask if it shows.
I'd ask if I seem happier than they are, because I am actively working for a more animal-friendly enviroment whereas they are merciless in their work.
I would ask them how many lives they've taken, and how many they've ruined.
I'd ask them if they've ever hurt a human through animal testing.
And although they might protest, saying that they never have, I'd have to correct them.
Because I know for a fact that it hurts each of us here affiliated with Peta, breaks our s a little, to know that the animals that we love and stick up for are being murdered for no apparent reason.
Then I'd let them know how stupid what they're doing is, and that they should stop.
And I'd give them a Peta2 sticker and leave.
I would say:
Imagine if someone was doing these cruel, unnecessary, and painful tests on your child. I'm certain that would evoke some very strong feelings in you. To many people, animals mean as much to them as a child does to a parent. I highly doubt you would be able to perform such terrible tests on someone else's child, so how is an animal any different? Animals can feel pain just like a human, and they can love just like a human. Every animal you kill or mutilate will die without ever having known love. If you can inflict so much pain and suffering on any living creature, then I fear what else you might be capable of.

Posted by: Kara at August 17, 2009 4:44 PMIf I were to ever come in contact and actually have the chance to sit down with someone who conducts tests on animals many question and comments would come to my mind. They'd probably come out like this... You get paid to listen to the screams and cries of animals everyday, and you just sit there and watch them look up to you with inocent eyes, begging and pleading to you to just let them be, and your ok with that? Can you honestly tell me that your ok with torture, that your not like sain human beigns that would see some like that that as being barbaric? Tell me one good thing about your job? Exactly... NOTHING Then I'd tell them to close their eyes and imagen themselfs on a cold lab table, with creatures much bigger than them with needels poking and causing pain in them each and every single day of their misserable life. Aswell as living everyday of their life in a small cage as their heart yerned to be free in his or her natural habitat. Then I would say you make your animals feel like that every single day of their life. Then I would say then after that misserble life that they were put through they were put to death or died during and experiment. I'd close the conversation by saying.. just because they are animals and they can't speak to you doesn't mean they can't bleed, feel pain, yern for your love insted of the needle, or that they want to live a good life. Now tell me can you honestly tell me that your ok with your job? LOVE NOT NEEDLES!
Posted by: sarah montaque at August 17, 2009 5:06 PMfirst of all animal testing is WRONG!!!
they say they can find a cure for cancer by testing them on animals, yet still they find nothing. animals & humans are different from one another if they find a cure that can help other animals that is great but they dont get it some testings go wrong & only the animals feel not them
so they need to stop this cruel testing on animals
& this should stop once and for all

Posted by: at August 17, 2009 8:32 PMthink about it-would you like to be tested by a giant for no reason? didn't think so
Posted by: at August 17, 2009 11:02 PMi would probably ask them if they really think it's necessary, saying not only do we have PLENTY of products out there already but there are other ways to test without using animals. and besides just because it works on animals doesnt mean it'll work on humans (give them the example: cancer has been cured for mice but when the product was used on humans it wasn't effective).
i'd also ask them if they have or have had any pets and how they would feel if these things were done to them.
then i'd ask them why they got into that job. was it to help people? because like i said before, because it works on one doesn't mean it'll work on another. i'd tell them it might better help people by searching for an alternative to testing on animals that is more accurate. is it because they enjoy hurting animals? (i seriously doubt that'll be an answer but you never know). if that's it i'd say i think they need to consider their life and morals a bit closer, maybe talk to someone to help them work through that instead of taking it out on living creatures.
stop testing animals!!
animals have feelings too! because animals don't have the ability to express themselves, people are/should stand up for animals and their freedom.
I would bust out into an original rap and I don't even rap... ha... and it would go like this:
So you hide behind your lab coat,
Testing on our pets…
You hide inside these labs and that’s
-Pathetic as it gets.
Tell me- does it make you happy?
Does it make u smile at night?
Considering you hurt the ones
too small and frail to fight.
Considering you test and prod
And make them take this crap
Does it make you feel like more a man
To know you set the trap?
To know you come to work each day
Prepared to raise your fist
So you can mark one more cosmetic
Off the testing list?
So you can make the pharmacies
One more dishonest buck
You end their lives, you tell these guys
“sorry.. your outta luck”
It doesn’t make ME happy
To know u hurt our friends
We won’t give up- we CAN’T give up
This isn’t how this ends.
We’ll fight until the animals
Are free from selfish greed
We’ll fight until our creature friends
Have, at last, all been freed!
Let's see what they think about THAT ONE! :P
Posted by: Rachel Watson at August 18, 2009 3:13 AMwell, i think first i'd ask them their side.
you know, let them explain themselves a little bit. then it'd go something like this:
"well, take a minute and just think about this for a second. look around you. do these animals look happy? no? well let me enlighten you as to why. they don't belong here. there are so many alternatives to this, and it really isn't solving anything. did you know that every year we spend billions of dollars on animal testing? it's quite a bit. we could be using that for something more effective, like sending care packages to those who need it. this animal testing isn't getting us anywhere. it's the same things over and over again. and it's just wrong. and i mean, just because some things might work on an animal, they very well may not work on a human. our system's work differently.
now, turn it around, and place yourself in their position. you've got all of these chemicals being pumped into you, and you're cramped in a cage by yourself. you're scared. you don't know what's going on, all you know is that you're in pain, and you shouldn't be there. it's terrifying hearing nothing but the sounds of screaming and machines. your mind flashes back, looking for any happy times that it can remember, and it finds nothing. it's completely absorbed in the darkness and it's scared.
you wouldn't like that, would you? i certainly wouldn't. so before you go back in there, thinking that you may be saving someone, just think about this. look into the fearful eyes of the animal, and ask yourself if it's really worth it. i'm not saying any of this to condemn you, please don't get me wrong, i just want you to see what you're doing, before you blindly continue this "work". thank you for your time."
I would say...
Hello there nice to meet you. Well I mean it would be nice to meet you if you weren't such a sick person. I mean how can you continue on with your life knowing you're harming innocent animals everyday? If I were you I could never sleep at night. I'd stay awake in agony as screams and screeches of poor little animals filled my mind leading me to my own death. It's people like you that make me proud to stand up for animal rights. Here have this, as a token of my hatred for freaks like you (I would hand them like a sheet of stickers or some thing in relation)I hope your satisfied as you test on your next little animal cause when you start anything as sickening as this on an animal you start tests on how much more the animal rights groups will wait before they take measures to the extremes.
Then I'd smile and say,
get a life....good bye
honestly tell me why you would do such a thing to poor, cute, little animals when it's been proven that their genetics are very much different from ours? no answer? that's what I thought. you guys all know that what you're doing is cruel and wrong, so why do you continue to do it? what you're doing is murder. you would never give your own child these drugs not knowing the affects of them, would you? these harmless creatures never did anything to you and they have feelings just like any human. seriously, think before you go feeding them these poisons and poking them with these harmful chemicals next time.
Posted by: at August 18, 2009 2:34 PMI wouldn't make him listen to me,
I would just make him listen to the ones he is torturing.
You're being a hypocrite! You went to school to major in research that's supposed to make the world a better place. In reality you're threatening our animal populations my mutilating their natural lifestyle and destroying our planet. Why don't you put yourself in their shoes for once, let them do to you as you have done to them. Let them show you the type of hate that they have for you. Let them have revenge.
Posted by: at August 18, 2009 9:43 PMFirst I would offer them some literature from peta2's animal testing breaks hearts, if I could get my hands on some =P and then I'd say
"Hi. I realize that I don't know you and I don't have the right to judge you as a human being. But there are certain things that make you a human being and one of them is compassion. I know that it is possible to do almost anything if you remove your emotions from it, but I know from experience that it dehumanizes you. You may think that "animal experimenter" is just your job. You might think its for a good cause, and the pain and suffering you are causing will prevent more pain and suffering. These are good intentions, but they're lacking compassion. Would you perform the same experiments you do in your job on your own pet? Would you tolerate it if you were forced to spend your life in captivity, poked, prodded, and worse, for reasons you couldn't even imagine? And I know that you are an intelligent and logical person, but you might not know there are methods of research that don't involve this cruelty. You could bring compassion and humanity into your workplace if you look into animal free testing. I promise, you'll feel like a hero when you release those animals and still get the job done. Have a heart, and stop breaking hearts in the name of science. You're better than that."

Posted by: at August 19, 2009 9:48 AMwhat are you doing? do you honestly think that hurting another living creature is a good career choice. How do you go to sleep at night knowing that your torturing and killing over thousands and thousands of living creatures just like you and I? You make me me and others sick when we walk into a department store and see all the products that were used in the toucher chambers you call "laboratories". I wanna know how you would feel if you had to live in a cramped cages knowing that everyday you are going to be experimented on like you don't have a soul or any meaning in this world that was created so that man and animal could live in peace and harmony. You people are disturbing in every way i could never imagine murdering another living thing on gods green earth yet you have no problem putting on your lab coats and practically playing with a living, breathing, conscious animals lives. Imagine being born just to be put through searing and unimaginable amounts of pain just so some girl can get ready in the morning. Does it make you feel like you have power knowing that your hurting something that cant speak for its self or fight back. This career choice you made just makes no sense to me and if you can look into the next animals eyes your about to experiment on and have no problem killing and torturing it then you are extremely messed up and and deserve to have the same experiments done to you. Its a rule we learned in preschool. Treat others the way you want to be treated and i believe that goes for animals too.
Posted by: Kat Cassidy at August 19, 2009 11:31 AMI'd tell them , if they're supposed to be some smart researcher who conducts experiments and whatnot, why haven't they done research enough to figure out that testing on animals isn't going to do shit?..

I would ask them how they could be so disgusting. How could they just sit there and watch as a poor animal is dying and in agony because of them. How would they feel if I did the same to them. How would they feel?
Posted by: at August 19, 2009 11:26 PMI would say.. How could you do such a thing?? Animals should be loved , not tested on! If your so desprite to test on a cute little animal, why don't you just test on yourself and leave the poor animals alone. They don't deserve that , they deserve to be loved like any human. Haven't you ever thought how they feel? And how much pain you're putting them through?? Stop the abuse!

"How could you harm such innocent animals? They're different from humans, stop testing on them. It's not fair to them to have to sit there and be tortured as you sit back and laugh like it's not big deal. I'll tell you what, you are one horrible excuse for a human being and I'll assure you that one day someone will come after you and do the same thing. When they do, who will be laughing now? Everyone who's against animal cruelty, that's who. So, have your fun now as you stare into the eyes of an innocent animal who deserves a life without testing for humans, but just wait.
I would love to ask you how you could do this? Wake up every morning, kiss your wife and children, go to work and harm animals. I actually hope you never have children in which they can't grow up to be the beast that you are. In this world, you are small to everyone and no one really cares about you at this point. You are at the all time low of your life and as long as you keep torturing these beautiful creatures that God put on this earth, you'll remain there.
One day I know you'll be in the worst position possible, that position is lonely and scared and frightened. It is the position of these poor animals. Can you really look me in the eyes and tell me that you don't care? That every time you kill an animal it doesn't break your heart? I highly doubt you couldn't tell me that, if you could, you're a cold person.
Once you realize that all of this was right, you'll come running back to me screaming at the top of your lungs of the bare act of agony. You'll look me into the eyes and say that was the worst thing possible in this world and that you are sorry for everything that you ever did to every single animal that you harmed.
Good luck in life, buddy. You'll need it. "
I would say: "How would you like it if someone injected you with toxic substances, dripped chemicals into your eyes, cut you open then threw you away as if you were a mere disposable lab experiment?"

I would tell them they'd better not complain to me if sci-fi horror stories of alien abduction and human experimenting ever do come true... What goes around comes around. ;)

I would just walk past him, my head held up.
Because I know if I DID talk to him, I'd probably just say, "Bitch, HOW COULD YOU DO THAT?! HOW CAN.." until I couldn't say it anymore. (It would contain a bunch of cussing, screaming, and probably not very much sense due to my raging emotions.)

how could you do such horrid things to these poor, defenceless, animals . Do you not have a heart , do yoou not feel the slightest bit of remorce when you torture these poor creatures of god . would you like being injected with poisons and harmful toxins? then why are you killing these poor animals . There must be an alternative to this cruelty.
If I came face to face with an animal experimenter I would just ask them why. I would tell him about the alternatives, even though they probably already know about them. I feel that reminding people that what they are doing is terrible, and that it can be changed, will help. Even though it may not have an immediate effect, after being told for the tenth time about how you could change something that is wrong, you'd fix it. Plus, telling them the facts would be much more effective than screaming at them , in my opinion.
Posted by: at August 20, 2009 9:43 PMHi! How are you today? ... oh you're you good, huh? Isn't that wonderful? Well how would you be feeling if I captured you, constrained you, pumped you full of toxins until you are as sick as you could possibly get. Once that occurs, I will then try to cure you, but of course I won't let you survive. No, I will kill you and poke, prod and dissect your disease ridden body...oh you think I am sick do you? you ask why i would want to do this to you. Well truthfully I just described how I see you. You are a sick and twisted murder. I hope when you die, everyday that you spend in hell you relive the same treatment you subjected those poor defenseless animals to...haha, I should go to hell? Wellsame to you! Hope you have an awful day!

I mean... you do it to animals, maybe they think that you should see what it's like.
Just some food for thought... Have a nice day.
Posted by: at August 21, 2009 12:00 AMi would make flash cards with pictures of animals that are sick from being tested show it to the animal tester and make him/her feel really bad.
then i would say is this what you like doing to animals?
do you feel happy when you mutilate an animal?
does it make you proud to hurt animals and watch them in pain?
the next time you test a product on a animal think about the slow, painful time the animal is having.
Why in the world are you still testing on animals? Don't you know that it is archaic, useless, meaningless, and cruel?
Haven't you heard of in vitro testing? I mean, you are a college professor, medical researcher, or military specialist, correct? That means you have gone to college for a long time, and theoretically learned something!
I'm a 14 year old High School student and know that testing on human cell cultures is much more accurate than testing on another species, shouldn't you?
Or, are you getting paid a ton of money from a research grant you got 40 years ago? Are you afraid to change your grant proposal to something meaningful, current, correct, and humane because you might get cut off financially? Hmmmmm!
i would look them in the eye and ask them to do the experiments on me i would rather them do it on me then on some poor rat or monkey it helps them and the customers it will come out with more accurate tests.
Posted by: at August 21, 2009 2:34 AMI would tell them that I worked for a fast food restaurant once so I know how it feels to have a job that's a total waste of time. Then I would tell them to apply for something better like I did (my peta2 internship starts in a couple weeks!)

Posted by: Ashley Auerbach at August 21, 2009 12:03 PMI would tell them that testing on animals is cruel and useless. I would suggest using an alternative method to test, a more humane and sensible way. There are so many people that would be willing to participate in testing or studies to make the world a better place. Animals like people don't have a choice to be born, why would anyone treat them with such disrespect. This is not the life they should be born into. It's like a baby being born to a drug addict, it's not their fault yet they suffer from it. It's not fair. Nobody should have to right to choose anybody's/any animal's destiny for them. It's their life, let them LIVE it.
"It's your turn now..."
Posted by: at August 21, 2009 11:28 PMif i ever came face to face with an animal experimenter i would say
"How could you dare do this to animals? You as a person for sure wouldn't put yourself up to be experimented with, would u? Then why put these animals at risk? Do you have a heart? What if someone picked your children up off the street and decided they would be perfect for an experiment? Would that be ok in your mind? All animals have a purpose, and you ruin their lifes purpose by experimenting with them. DO YOU REALLY THINK WHAT YOUR DOING IS YOUR LIFES PURPOSE?... i don't"
thanks,
Bri
i would ask, what if you were the experiment, what if your children were the experiment, would you try these products on them also? these animals life purpose isnt to be an experiment, if your lifes purpose to really be testing animals?
Posted by: beebee at August 22, 2009 12:21 AMSeriously? Animals have feelings and emotions like you and I. Well, I know I have feelings ... but apparently you don't or you would stop it. And you would realize that animals have the same right to live as you and I. People like you make me ashamed to be human.
Posted by: Nikki Stevens at August 22, 2009 12:34 AM"What if it was you the hunter hunted"
Id say 'your a monster, we have the ability to be soo much more and to do soo much more' ' Does it hurt you to know that your torturing innocent creatures, creatures soo beautiful, for an experiment thats invalid on humans? Do you feel powerful taking away theyr rights, is this what you wanted when you were an innocent? Is this what you dreamed of?'
Id ask them two questions
'why?' and 'How do you block it out?'
While the article does have some valid points, and I totally agree that animal testing can be very painful and cruel to the animals, I'm not completely convinced that we should quit animal testing. There have been scientific achievements in the field of diabetic research that have improved the quality of life for millions of people. While I wish that there was a better way, I can hardly condemn it in its entirety.
And you can't deny that there have also been considerable achievements in the minimum quality of life for these animals. With help from animal rights group such as PETA and others, standards are forming about how test animals are treated, and how long they can be tested. This is not perfect, but a small step is still a step, right? in order to really change how things are done, we must move carefully, or else we are in danger of becoming a punch-line.
I am as enraged as any of you, but try to think rationally about what you are saying. One could misinterpret your message; it may seem that you are telling the world that you would rather 500,000 woman die than an animal suffer. I'm sure that this is NOT your message, but think on it. Appearances do matter.
In conclusion: my statement to experimenters: I'm sure you realize the horror of your actions (or at least some of you do) so instead of standing on the other side of the picket line, work with us to try to develop more humane and animal-friendly ways to conduct your research. I'm sure that if we work together, we can eventually find a way to cure cancer without interfering with an animals life.
All the best,
Mollie (age 16)
dude, animals can feel exactly what we can... if u had a needle poked at u 24/7 would it hurt would u really want to do this to poor innocent animal? What did those poor animals do to you? did they harm you in any way? i mane for crying out loud why would you even do that?
Posted by: Tina at August 25, 2009 12:21 PMso... who won?
Posted by: Rachel Watson at August 26, 2009 12:56 PMSo when you're about to inject an animal with horrible mystery chemicals, an animal thats been tied down, is crying for mercy, and looks up at you with a look of hope that you arent actually going to prick him with a needle....do you feel sad? remorse? how about guilt? Do you get an uneasy feeling in the pit of your stomach, how about throat? Or do you need to turn your head to do it? Have you trained yourself to not see them as living?...oh wait...all of this is okay because you want to be paid, its okay that this is happening because soon youll be off work to go home in your fancy luxury car to your big house to put on your silk pajamas and relax. All the while an animal is feeling the side effects of the drug, hears barking and loud animals but its muffled, had blurred vision, has to lay on a cold steel surface and has no idea whats happening to it.

Posted by: at August 27, 2009 4:44 PMI would tell the experimenter; How can you have a job that deal's with experimenting on animals? Hurting them, just looking at them suffering. They have different genes than we do, so it wouldn't make one difference. If you want to test any product, and it's for the pleasure of our humanity, then we need to test on our kind..certainly don't need to on animals. Never. They are defenseless. Its heartless and cold how you can stand there, experiment dealing and enjoying making them suffer.
Posted by: at August 27, 2009 5:26 PMWhat would i tell the experimenter? I would ask him how could he go home at night, and feel good about what he's done? I would ask him, how would he feel if it was his dog? Or his cat? Would he still feel like doing his job? I would ask him, if he was those animals, what would he say? Would he want somebody to speak up for him? I would ask him to realize what pain and torture these poor defenseless animals go through on a daily basis. Does he realize that these animals have feelings just like he does? If he could hear the words an animal would say to him, would he still do his job? Then I would ask him, for just one minute, to imagine the hurt the animals go through, no how does he feel? These animals are mutilated, tortured, and you continue doing your job as if its perfectly normal. If we didn't put such emphasis on the products that are being tested there would be no animal testing. Its cruel, terrible, heartless, and sickening.

cruelty to animals such a major topic.why do it? why hurt animals? testing and pulling and digging into there private lives they have a soul too!
Posted by: at September 2, 2009 1:42 PMI understand. You think you're helping. But isn't it kind of weird that you have to hurt someone to help someone? I've never heard of that. Doesn't that kind of cancel out the help you may be providing?
Breast cancer is a scary thing that no woman should ever have to go through...yet you're trying to find a cure by putting an animal through pain. It's the new millennium, we all know for damn sure that animals feel pain, you can't spin that in any way. Pain to help others...I understand that it needs to be tested but you aren't asking freewill patients. If I was told I would get 1000$ to participate in a study, you know I'd probably do it. But i have that choice. They don't. What if something like that happened to you, or a family member? Kidnapped then help captive in a room, only to be free when their experimenting on you. That's against our human rights...So why aren't animals protected? Why don't they have a standard of living. You take them from their homes and families so you can torture them and ultimately disfigure or kill them. Why don't you chew on that for a minute and try to give me a reason why you think it's okay.
You're not going to use the medication to help the animals, so why should they have to suffer in vain for it because you're being irresponsible by assuming whatever test results you recieve are accurate when compared to a human body.
if i ever came face to face to a scientist that did horrific and cruel test b-cuz they "think" they're acctually doin us some good, if theyre so frikken smart havent they figured out by now that there testing on poor innoccent animals have not been helping humans only hurting us since the "smart" scientists havent realized we are not bunnies, and mice we are people and we should know better then to do iggnorant test on animals so helpless. maybe the next monkey they try to test on will bite the smart*** scientist
Posted by: meghan thomas at September 4, 2009 4:16 PM"You wouldn't test this product on your own pet, so why test it on this animal?!"
Posted by: Amber at September 4, 2009 4:40 PMHow could you do that to an innocent animal? We are their voice, don't make it a bad one. How do you sleep at night knowing your killing someONE everyday.. If it's not safe enough to try on a human, then it's not safe enough to try on anyone, any animal. "Do un to other how you would want them to do un to you". I learned that rule in kindergarden.. If I can get it, certainly someone of your age and intellegence could.
Posted by: Julie at September 11, 2009 8:23 PMI would say "Wow. I finally get to meet someone without a heart."
Posted by: Tabitha at September 17, 2009 8:49 PM*holding a bunny* "Pet my bunny! He's cute, right? If you hold him close enough, he'll kiss your nose. Isn't he just the sweetest thing?? Do you want to hold him? Well, too bad! You can't hold my adorable, defenseless bunny rabbit. He doesn't have a voice to say 'Help me!' so I'll give him that voice. If you ever touch my bunny rabbit again, I'll cure YOUR breast cancer!!!"
Posted by: at September 19, 2009 9:35 PMhaa,im bianca nice to meet the people who i have no respect for what their doing.I honestly dont care what you do else or who you are.All i really care about is your job your crappy job.Yhea yu make a crap load of money hey good for yu.but can i ask you a really good question? When you see that dead animal that you killed in its cage just because you wanted to see if your dog food worked to make it stronger. What goes through your head? Do you just say okay next bring in the other dog? I honestly dont get how you can go to work everyday knowing that your killing god's creatures. It makes me sick to the stomach and the sad part about it is im not the one killing them you are.If i were you i would open my eyes and see that your better than this your better than going into a ugly room putting stuff on monkeys or even putting stuff in them open your eyes now. or one day something is going to make you open them for you.
Posted by: bianca perez at September 25, 2009 9:36 AMI would ask. if they would ever test on themselfs. because tests on animals feel the same if you were to test yourself. and i would ask them if they aprove of it. and if they ever really thought about the fact that it could be them.
Posted by: Brittany Kipers at September 25, 2009 7:50 PMif you have the ability to love another human, what makes an animal different? they are beings and it is our responsibility to treat them judiciously. just as we turn from the horrors of darfur because its more pleasenat to protect our minds from the attrocity, you are turning from your responsibility to care for these animals. honestly, tell me how you can justify your actions? becuase i know i can't.
Posted by: erin at September 28, 2009 11:39 AMyou can experement and test your make up on animals all you want, but you and the people who wear your products will always be ugly
Posted by: lace at September 30, 2009 11:01 AMi would also ask how. how does he think animal testing is really gonna save us. each animal has different genetics eventually there gonna run across some product that doesn't hurt the animals but hurts humans. what would he do then. i bet retire.
Posted by: chelsey wurthmann at October 1, 2009 3:03 PMThe next time you’re at work, running whatever test on whatever animal, please stop for just a second and listen. Don’t think about the next step in your process, just listen to the sounds coming out of the animal you’re holding. Look into it’s eyes and measure the expression there. Take a just a second to notice the struggles it’s put forth in trying to get away from you.
Then think about the life you have and the people you love. Think about all the great things in your life and what you’re looking forward to. Going home after work, a long weekend? Maybe a much anticipated vacation? And know that in a matter of time you’re involvement with the creature before you will be over. You can walk away, clock out and go on with your life. But this, right here, is most likely the only human contact this animal will have. And right now, as you’re ‘doing your job’, the living creature you’re testing on is looking forward to going back into whatever cage you keep it in and riding through the effects of whatever you’re injecting it with. Because THAT is the highlight of it’s day; when you go away.
"where..is..my...mom??"
a very scared little animals have been taken from their mothers side..waiting..innocently..and without knowing that there is were somewhere in the dark is having a demonic smile...rush to do some experiments to the helpless animals! and now..the terror were coming. The innocent animals been in the cage for a long run hours...they just thought that its their mom whose coming.. but they're wrong. and they could already smell danger..they're scared and now they tremble..asking... where is my mom?
but still the experimenter pursue his dated experiment. HOW CRUEL! have a heart on animal...
id would just tell him straight up, im 14 so he might not listen but id try my hardest id be like why would you test on animals? Thats something you should never do? its no use trying to hide it eiether you should stop know while you can b/cuz sooner or later you will be stopped and lose your job how can you stand to stick needles and other things into innocent animals? your a freak yourself :D thats what id sayy
Posted by: at October 10, 2009 3:57 AMHow would you feel if someone would treat your animals, your kids or yourself the way you treat the animals you test on? KNOCK IT OFF!
I would have to tell them that against everything I feel, in spite of the rage that comes out every time I think of what they do, I almost feel sympathy. I can only imagine the guilt that they will one day be forced to experience when the blinders of denial they have created for themselves no longer shut out the horrors they have committed.
Posted by: Loring Gibson at October 14, 2009 2:39 PMIf you want to find a cure for breast cancer you might want to try and test the cure out on people who actually have BREASTS! Not on animals, they arent the ones with the problem!!
Posted by: Hannah Beldyga at October 16, 2009 4:23 PMim a 14 year old that still goes to high schoo and yet i understand that animal abuse is horible. How can people do this? just disgusting!
I bet you almost every single one of those sick bastards have pets, or animals they adore. I hope they feel guilty for what they do, guilty for hurting those poor innocent animals. one little whimper would make me cry worse than niagra falls!
im not just doing this for a free t-shirt,even though i would love it to get out to the world and my school how bad animal testing is,im doing this so i can get my oppinion out somehow someway that i can feel involved with something. i found this website on a sticker that my friend has on her binder and i didnt realize how moving it was till i went to it today.im so glad you guys are willing to stick up for what you love and fell like what is right. thank you:] hope this helps the poor critters.
Hi my names Keaton Jones... you know, I'm a supporter of the company Peta. Perhaps you've heard of it? Oh good! Well, then you probably already know about all of the horrible and inhuman things you are doing to God's creatures. You don't have to keep hurting, intoxicating, and killing God's creaturs, you know. If you want to poke, prod, intoicate, highly injure, someone do it to yourself, not these wondrous animals. You know you'd NEVER give ANYONE permission to do these things to you. Do you think that if animals had ANY say that they would agree to any of it? You know in your heart that your doing wrong.
Posted by: Keaton Jones at October 18, 2009 9:39 PMI would just simply say---Try and put yourself selves in the animals' shoes for one day. Take the torture they put on those animals. I'm quite sure that you couldn't stand what you put those animals through, so why do something so inhumane. Animals have hearts, they're living too. They're just like humans, they have emotions, and families to take care of. If you think that using animals are such a joke, then let's honestly see you walk a day in those shoes. Not up for the challenge? Think about it for one minute, and think about what your parents probably told you "don't to others as you wouldn't do to yourself". Deep down, a part of you does care. A part of you knows that what you are doing is wrong and cruel. Think twice the next time you do it, imagine the animal as your husband/wife, or maybe even kids. Would you do that to them or your self?
Didn't think so
Posted by: Chelsea W at October 19, 2009 11:32 PMI would say "Pathetic", then promptly walk away. Seconds later I'd be so overwhelmed with discontent, I would return to that man. Or woman as the case may be. And after a long hard stare while resisting the urge to explode I'd begin my heartfelt rant. One that'd go something like this;
"You say its for humanity. You say you want to help. But wait, why? What makes us so special? You want to keep our species thriving. And keep us slathered in the latest products. Your hurting animals of multiple species to do it. They're suffering is not deniable. You can see the pain of the rash as they burn, the shock in their eyes clearly visible, as they take their final breaths. WHY? Why them. At what point did the life of a dog, a monkey, a rat, a cat, a fowl etc. become less important than that of a humans? Animals were here first. And assuredly have done less damage to the world than this "civil"ization ever has. Want to know if somethings effective on humans? Heres an idea, try it on yourself. If you die, then you know somethings wrong. Stop taking out your ignorance on beings that are innocent far beyond our own. Does an animal not feel pain? Does he/she not have a soul? Then you sir, by your own accord, ARE AN ANIMAL. Now go stick the needle in your arm and see how you like it. Jerk."
Then as the polite woman I was raised to be I'll smile and politely thank them for their time.
I would say: There are many other ways to create harmless products, that work just as well. Is it really necessary for you to test on animals? No. More than likely you only do this to make money. So why not put your valuable time into making something not animal tested, that works just as well as the other stuff.
Posted by: Jordan T at November 19, 2009 8:27 AMFirst I would tell him that we are all equal humans and animals....so why are you testing on them? It is cruel and wrong....Put your time to better use and go to peta2!!!!! :)

Heads up: By signing up here and giving us your details, we're taking that as acknowledgment that you've read and agreed to our privacy policy.

I would say how? How can you possibly do such horrible things to the most innocent creatures on earth? How can your heart not break when you hear them cry out? How can you keep this heart wrenching cycle going, with the knowledge that it is in no way necessary? How can you stand to be part of something so cruel and barbaric? How can you be so merciless and inhumane? I doubt they would be able to answer even one of these questions, and I wish I could say something that would make them stop, but if they can stand to look in the faces of those poor animals and haven't stopped already, is no hope for them. All we can do is fight them and animal testing.
