McCruelty, Tigers, and Michael Jackson...Oh My! July 10, 2009
Posted by Ryan | Permalink | Comments ( 14 ) | TrackBackIn the past week, we've been front and center—from coast to coast! Ready to go on a cross-country trip? Here we go!
Starting in the Big Apple, activists staged a fun "Tiger's Revenge" demonstration outside of a Ringling Bros. Circus show in New York's legendary Coney Island. As the locals would say, "Cruelty to animals? Fuggedaboutit."
Venturing out to the Windy City, we also grabbed media attention in Ronald McDonald's home state, by projecting our message about McCruelty onto the side of buildings all over Chicago! I can only imagine the horror on the face of a McDonald's executive, as they walk to dinner on a warm Illinois night, only to see this ...
Finally, our activists drew loads of attention in Hollywood, bringing our meatless message to the mourning masses at Michael Jackson's memorial (I like alliteration—so sue me). As we've mentioned time and time again, there's no better way to stay fit and healthy than to cut out animal products. Just ask this sequinne-gloved Lettuce Lady!

So which one's your favorite? I personally think the McCruelty projections are brilliant. Leave your comment below!

Posted by: Heather at July 10, 2009 1:15 PMI love the man in the mirror one. I think that's just amazing. It's a really nice message 2.
Posted by: Keomba at July 11, 2009 5:16 PMSometimes I wonder 'How do they come up with these things?' I love the projection idea!
Posted by: Savannah at July 12, 2009 10:52 PMTo be honest I only like the first two because in the third one..PETA is taking away the real message which was to honor the king of pop..not spread the word about vegetarianism.
Posted by: Paige at July 14, 2009 2:15 PMPeta is great! :)
My personal favorite is the Ringling Bros. one.
Love it.
All of them are great ideas, actually.

Posted by: Claire at July 14, 2009 5:45 PMI agree with Paige. The point of going to memorial was to honor him, not take away the whole point of it by spreading vegetarianism. As for the the second one, that was the most impressive one. Nobody should ignore that.
Posted by: Danielle at July 14, 2009 9:44 PMsavannah, michael jackson was a vegetarian and he cared a lot about animals, so i think he'd be pleased that people are spreading the word about things he cared about :)
Posted by: at July 15, 2009 10:44 AMI love them both, Peta does The Man in the Mirror
proud!! I'm Hatin' it to, I was grossly sick off of a rotten fish filet from a Mac Donald's Restaurant in Canada that taught me not to ever allow my family members to eat there, also their
employees should be encouraged to wear gloves when handling food so customers do not get sick
from contaminated fish like I did, they don't consider their employees who could be any Joe Blow
off the street has poor hygiene when using the bathroom etc. GROSS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
