Tell Benetton to Stop Selling Fur Now, Not Later! May 15, 2009

Well that's what Benetton is doing. They've agreed to get out of the fur business—but not until they launch their 2010 line. So this fall and winter, they plan to launch a line that includes the skins of dead animals, who've likely lived miserable lives on fur farms—in cramped, filthy cages, killed for nothing other than greed and vanity.
To end up on the sales rack, animals are strangled or vaginally or anally electrocuted—which fries the animals from the inside out in order to avoid damaging the pelt. The animals convulse, shake, and often cry out before suffering painful heart attacks. Often, workers begin to peel skin from the animals' bodies while they are still alive and able to feel pain.
This makes no sense to me. Why wait? How can a company learn the facts about what happens to animals killed for their fur—literally the skin off of their backs—and want to keep profiting from it? Why continue to represent an industry that beats, electrocutes, strangles, traps and sometimes skins animals alive for their fur? Why continue to make money off of the death of animals, knowing exactly just how bloody it is?
The animals being killed right now don't have the choice to wait another season. They need companies like Benetton to do the right thing now. Urge Benetton to implement its fur-free policy today, instead of waiting another year!

We SHARE, yes, SHARE this planet with all the creatures therein. We do not own the animals. They are not ours to kill,maim,torture,wear,eat.
I, my family and friends will boycott Benetton and spread the news that they are still promoting and using fur needlessly to hit your company in its pocket. The only thing you clearly understand.

Aren't you glad you were not born rabbits? I bet you are because you know exactly what would happen to you just because you body is covered in fur: you would be electrocuted, strangled, trapped and sometimes you would be skinned alive.
Remember that what you do, good or bad, to either people or animals ALWAYS comes back to you sooner or later. Is the abusing of animals for the love of the almighty dollar really worth the bad that could come back to you?????????? Your choice.

Yes! Why wait?! I signed it : ) I just feel like crying when I see or hear about the fur industry....especially the picture on this article. As I have a bunny just like that, and I would just be heart broken if anything happened to him.
