A Ringling Bros. Wii Game? WTF? May 11, 2009

Ringling will try just about anything to get people's money in exchange for abusing animals under their trashy big top. In reality though, it takes very little to find out about Ringling's dirty laundry list of animal deaths and citations. But you don't have to take our word for it—you can also check out all of our undercover investigation footage where we've filmed Ringling employees beating elephants.
It's no shock that Ringling's attendance is going down. What's Ringling's next dirty trick?
Well, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is looking to take its cruelty to animals virtual—it is teaming up with Take-Two Interactive Software to create a circus-themed Wii game. Hmm ... I don't suppose this game comes with a virtual bullhook—does it?
We've told Take-Two about Ringling Bros.' real-life, lengthy history of animal abuse and neglect and shown it undercover video footage of a standard industry training session, in which animal handlers used electric prods and bullhooks to gouge elephants in the most sensitive parts of their bodies. Even after seeing this for themselves—Take-Two is still moving forward with it's plan to create a Ringling Bros. game.
Send a message to Take-Two CEO Ben Feder urging him to sever ties with Ringling Bros. Let him know that you'd rather play a game featuring a circus that doesn't beat animals for "entertainment."

Posted by: Little_Lotte at May 12, 2009 9:57 AMWow that is just perfect(notice my sarcasm) when will they ever learn!? i mean seriously i just wish they would sit back and relize what there doing for peoples entertainment there circus was just in my town not even a month ago and my famialy went and i refused to go so my mom videotaped some of the stuff they did and it is terrible how they sit there and beat on the animals like there dirt! its rediculus
-katiee(:
If the cruelty is put into a videogame what does it matter? The videogame isn't hurting real animals. I can see that what the circus does to real life animals is very wrong and cruel, but done in a video game I don't see the harm. Get people to try to put a stop to the circus, not the videogame.
Posted by: Sarah at May 12, 2009 11:47 AMwtf is right. o_0 i bet in the game it says "hit the elephant! =D" and then u swing the wii remote :p BLECH WRETCH BARF VOMIT
Posted by: Selena at May 12, 2009 10:08 PMIf you'll excuse me I'd rather protest the circus itself rather than a Wii game.
Considering if people get the message that Ringling Brothers is bad in real life then probably they won't buy a Wii game.
Posted by: Pepsi One is Fun at May 13, 2009 9:12 AMWell, some of the money goes to those stupid animal abusers. That's why you should protest the game. :D I'm not good at explaining things...
Posted by: Sarah at May 13, 2009 6:01 PMSarah, the hurting cartoon animals isn't the point. The point is that if this game sells, it will encourage the Barnum and Bailey circus to keep exloiting these poor animals.
Posted by: Mckenna at May 13, 2009 9:37 PMI SOOO much dont care, the only animals i need are the ones i can EAT and dogs.
Anyway, i see you have ZERO knowlege about video games and wii games in particluar, so let me explain, this game comes with 'E' rating.
E= Everyone.
It means not only you wont see any cruelty but you wont even see any tools that might look cruel to others.
Also, wii games are crap so it wont be realistic but cartoony.
