PostSecret is addicting. For those of you unfamiliar with the site, here's the gist: People mail in their anonymous secrets on postcards that are then posted online for the rest of the world to read. It's really intriguing, since people share their secrets about everything—they can be anything from shameful to disturbing to funny to sickening to heartbreaking and everything in between. Check out this PostSecret that was shared recently:

It's so sad, yet so relatable for many people. Of course there's not really anything you can do to prevent this horrible feeling when you're away at college (aside from never leaving home ever!), but what you can do is enjoy the time you have with your animal companions now. Take a long walk with your dog. Curl up on the couch with your kitty. Make them treats. Remember that they love you unconditionally, so love them unconditionally right back. Always make time for them—they deserve it.
What's your favorite way to spend time with your animal companion?
P.S. Don't forget to spay and neuter your animal pals.

this one's so sad!
i think im gonna go play with my cats.

I take my basset hound for walks at least twice a day, he's getting very excited when I show him the leash I use for strolling. Sometimes I give him a gentle massage, which I heard is good for blood circulation.
Posted by: wow gold at April 11, 2009 8:18 PMAhh, that breaks my heart... I felt that way when I left my cat with my mom. He dies 3 weeks later and I had so many dreams about him...this made me cry :/ I miss my baby man! I hope he knew that I loved him... because I so did.
Posted by: kylie at April 11, 2009 11:03 PMi nearly cried when i read that last sunday :/
Posted by: jessica at April 11, 2009 11:42 PMMy cats like to play outside, so I try to take themn out every day. They are pretty well trained they know their boundaries in the yard and if they cross them all you have to do is walk towards them and they dart back to the approved area. It is fun just watching them enjoy the sun and the grass.
Also they love to be chased around the house and wrestled with. I find it strange that they like to wrestle but that is ok because I had dogs my whole life so thats how I like to play.
Posted by: Chris at April 12, 2009 10:47 AMaww. this is so touching and reflective. it really encourages people to evaluate themselves and their relationship with their companion animal(s).
Posted by: Kelly at April 12, 2009 12:11 PMI check the PS website everyday in case there are new comments below the secrets!
I like to take Tess on long walks, especially along the beach where she can play in the sea but she's also happy just playing fetch indoors.
I sit and watch TV while holding the Bobs (giant African land snails), of course they don't watch the TV but they seem to like the 'cuddle' time!
Posted by: Little_Lotte at April 12, 2009 12:35 PMMy Rottie, Fasa is 24 years old and lives with my dad. Although, I personally don't like my dad and don't really get along with him, I love Fasa and I spend as much time as possible over there. Same goes with me and my horse Buck who lives with my cousin.
Posted by: Stephi at April 12, 2009 2:04 PMI dried reading that post card :c
Posted by: A!lyssa at April 12, 2009 3:07 PMWe had something very similar to this at our school this year. we had a wall with "the secrects of NRHS" on it, we could write any secrect on it, it was anonymous, and some of them were pretty interesting!
My cat isn't the most affectionate pet in the world,, (probably because I love him too much :P) but I do love how in the mornings while i get ready for school he pretty much wakes me and then watches me do my routine.. ahah even getting dressed XD !!!
Posted by: Jennifer Baird at April 12, 2009 6:04 PMi soon as i read that i started tearing up.
Posted by: Julie Nguyen at April 12, 2009 11:15 PMI love holding my cat, Meow, and petting her for hours and de-shedding her fur and watching her try to catch a lazer pointer or the fish we have in their tanks. She's so cute. I've had her for 4 years now and I have so many pictures of her.
Posted by: Lizzy at April 13, 2009 2:47 PMAww...
I love Post Secret. I always wanted to send something in, but have been afraid that it might get intercepted by my mother or sister.
Awwww. Thats so sad!! I just pet my cat a lot when I get home from school. But I do order cat treats online. She loves it!!!
Posted by: Rebecca at April 13, 2009 8:30 PMI absolutely love it when I'm watching t.v. or a movie and it's dark in the living room, and my poodle, Georgia falls asleep on me. She always nuzzles her face in my neck and snores.
It's such a precious moment that I never want to lose.
