Earth Day is this Wednesday so let's all try to take some extra steps to speak out for animals and the environment this whole week, OK? Let's spread the word about why meat's not green online, at school, and even sitting down for a meal with your family.

Posted by: Jennifer Baird at April 20, 2009 6:22 PMA Lot of people I know always say to me how can one person make a difference? The meat is already on the shelf nothing you can do now.But I'll help you anyway I can.And I tell them you can help me and the environment by changing your attitude and realize one person can make a difference...........knowledge and spreading the word is contagious and that alone can save dozens of animals and the environment making it more pleasant to live in. Much love xoxoxo
Posted by: Jenifer at April 21, 2009 12:57 AMI have that sticker on all my binders for school and people ask about it everyday.
Posted by: Anna at April 21, 2009 8:22 AMI'm speaking tomorrow (earth day) at a district-wide conference at my community college, EMCC in Avondale, AZ. I am taking the opportunity to inform people that meat-eating habits are harming the environment more than anything else, and for the so-called "environmentalists", I am doing more by being vegan than they are by driving hybrids, recycling cans, and just about everything else!
Posted by: sara at April 21, 2009 10:19 AMI plan on tableing this weekend, but Wedensday I will be handing out flyers:)
Posted by: Morgan Staton at April 21, 2009 10:55 AMI go to Full Sail University here in Orlando, FL. I have not even met a single vegetarian since i've been here. It seems like not that big of a deal down here. To me, this is a big problem. People are not aware how eating meat from dirty factories can cause such a mess to the environment. I would like to post up some fliers so people can become aware of the things that are affecting them and what they can do about it.

I go to Evergreen State College and people talk a lot about environmentalism and being 'natural.' Somehow they use this to justify their consumption of animal products. I am on a one woman mission to inform these people so at least they cannot use that excuse! Thanks for putting out this literature peta! Much love!
