green St. Patrick's Day Top 5
Growing up, each March, I would decorate the front window of my house with St. Patrick's themed window stickies. I'm talking leprechauns, pots of gold, shamrocks—the works. Yeah, yeah, I know that's probably a little weird. Oh well, I've accepted it. Anyway, being partially-Irish myself, I wanted to share with you my top 5 ways to be green on St. Patrick's Day. Check it out:
1) Instead of sportin' a green "Kiss Me, I'm Irish" tee—grab a green tee and make a "Kiss Me, I'm Vegetarian" tee. Word of caution: Avoid wearing this tee around creepsters (Pulin!*).Comment below with how you'll be going green for St. Paddy's Day (either something from the list above or an idea of your own) and then try not to get pinched.
2) Encourage your family to switch over to cruelty-free and environmentally-friendly cleaning products—like one of my personal faves, Method.
3) Take your dog for a long walk—your dog will love you for it and you'll be green because you won't be wasting energy (except, okay, your own and your dog's, but this is a healthy and green energy waster—you see where I'm going with this!).
4) Grab the dissection banner from here and add it to your page ... because the banner is green. And so are frogs. Erm ...
5) And of course, the most delicious way to be green—whip up a vegetarian meal to share with a non-veg friend or family member! Potatoes are an Irish classic, so give these delicious Mashed Potato Sundaes a try. When dishing up the mouth-watering tatters, remember to mention that meat's not green!
*Note: Pulin is not actually a creepster.

Posted by: Little_Lotte at March 18, 2009 10:18 AMI walked around school with my face painted and wore a "Meat's Not Green" picture on my shirt.
It got a few conversations started.
:D
It's my sister's birthday, so I'm making veggie lasagne for dinner =)
