International Seal Slaughter Day of Action: What You Can Do! March 13, 2009

Posted by Rachel-O | Permalink | Comments ( 5 ) | TrackBack

Right now, innocent seal pups are being born on Canadian ice. They have no idea that in a few short weeks, Canadian fisherman will come to bludgeon them to death. Once the slaughter starts, many of these seal pups stand no chance. There will be nowhere for them to hide as their fellow pups are killed alongside them. They'll only be able to sit and wait for the same bloody fate.

This Sunday is the International Day of Action against the seal slaughter and seals need your voice this weekend! We need your help to get the word out about the seal slaughter. Here are a few simple things you can do to help put an end to the war on seals.

  • Upload the image below to your MySpace and Facebook and set it as your default this weekend. Make sure you caption it with: "End the Bloody Seal Slaughter: http://getactive.peta.org/campaign/p2_seal_slaughter_09?c=p23412".

  • Update your status on MySpace and Facebook to "Save the Seals: End the Bloody Seal Slaughter: http://getactive.peta.org/campaign/p2_seal_slaughter_09?source=p2advmyscefbstatus&c=p23406" and keep it up today through Sunday!
  • Make sure you've signed the petition against seal slaughter and forwarded it on to everyone you know!
  • Use your MySpace page to save the seals. You can raise awareness with our new MySpace layouts.
  • Check out the new (ridiculously cute) peta2 seal e-Card and send it to everyone you know!

  • peta2 Street Teamers will get 500 points for uploading the image on MySpace or Facebook, and an additional 500 points for updating their status! Just e-mail us at StreetTeam@peta2.com with what you did!

Thanks for sticking up for the seals!

    Stay loud!
    -Rachel
