Posted by: Mary at January 30, 2009 12:21 PMI would like to go out to a nice restaurant on Valentines day, order food, and not worry that rice may be cooked with animal fat, causing animal products to unintentionally be put in my body. If a meal is labeled vegan or vegetarian at a restaurant...I would like for it to actually be true. I have not put those products in my body in so long, the few times I've accidently injested them in a restaurant, not only did I feel digusted...I actually got physicallysick. So there it is...I want a normal valentines dinner, without worrying.

But flowers and chocolates are nice too.
I had a dream last night that i won an interweb giveaway, so here's hoping that dreams come true!
This valentine's day, it's not so much what i would like to get as what i would like to give: i just moved in with some non-vegan foodies, and i'd love a chance to cook them all a delicious vegan Valentine's Day dinner so that they can see that life, love and food is better when you go veg!

Posted by: Brittni at January 30, 2009 1:11 PMWhat I want most for Valentine's Day, is something that I know I am getting. Time with my best friend! We are going to spend the whole day pampering ourselves. There is no reason why someone shouldn't celebrate Valentine's Day just because they do not have a significant other. Love yourself and the people in your life!
Posted by: Erica at January 30, 2009 1:15 PMI want a date to the Sadie Hawkins dance at school, because I am too shy to ask someone.

someone to spend it with, or failing that
to be able to sleep through the whole day, waking occassionally to eat some vegan chocolates...
For Valentine's Day I'd like more people to know about how cruel and disgusting meat, dairy, and fur really is. Arrogance isn't bliss when it comes to animals lives.
Posted by: Lauren K at January 30, 2009 2:23 PMOuu! Valentine's Day. As much as I don't appreciate the aspect of this consumer, commertial holiday. Any day is still a great day to recieve gifts. If you prefer giving gifts, or particularily special gifts, on Valentine's day, then that's still fine! =]
For Valentine's Day, I'd definitely like some pretty flower. My room is looking a little dull.
For next year's Valentine's Day, peta2, you should design plush toys of our favourite peta2 mascots! (I Am Not A Nugget Chick, Cut Class Not Frogs Frog, Love Me Don't Eat Me Pig, etc.) Perhaps holding a heart, with a cute slogans on it "Will You Be My Vegan Valentine?" or something of the sort. =]
i would like vegan chocolates!! what else does anyone need on valentines day?!! yummy.
Posted by: karina at January 30, 2009 2:25 PMThis year is the first year EVER that i have had a boyfriend. So instead of me deciding what gift i want( a promise ring of course) i am burdened with the process of picking out a gift for someone else. I would though love to receive a very thoughtful and emotional gift, i am all like excited to just spend time with my boyfriend considering he lives in a town 45 minutes to and hour away from me! So that is my gift idea!
Posted by: Megan at January 30, 2009 2:26 PMI would love to share these vegan chocolates with my vegan boyfriend! What an amazing Valentines Day present that would be! =]

And i he's the perfect present!
I would love a boyfriend who appriciates my view on cruelty free life style
and also wouldn't mind sharing vegan chocolates with me
;*)
I want to be able to talk to my boyfriend all day long, not just during 8th period and before/after school. I want him to make me feel beautiful, even when I look my worst.
But most of all, I want to make my boyfriend and my friends/family feel loved!
[ And it'd be nice to find my wallet, since I just lost it :( ]

Posted by: Natasha at January 30, 2009 2:42 PMthis valentines day, i think getting anything no matter how simple will show me that that person cares enough to have remembered to get me something.
but i think sometimes the most romantic thing that i get is a sweet song dedicated to me, simple, easy, but leaves a long, lasting impression
happy valentines day kids.
Posted by: Victoria at January 30, 2009 2:47 PMfor valentines day i would love for more people to show more love and compassion for animals =]

But vegan chocolate works; it's like your own vegan valentine. It tastes absolutely delicious, releases endorphins, and lacks in cow-pus. See? What'd I tell you. Just like a veggie valentine. Yum. A close second.
GO VEGAN CHOCOLATE!

For Valentines Day I wish I could have my dog back. He died a few years ago. He wasnt just a dog, he was my best friend and a family member. His name was Jerry, a german shephard. Hes been supporting animals rights with me since I started 9 years ago and has been in many PETA photos, like the IAMS - I wont buy while cats and dogs die. I miss him so much and would do anything to have him back but sadly I could not see him suffer any longer and now rests peacefully in his urn in my house. :(

Posted by: Stefanie H. at January 30, 2009 8:53 PMFor Valentine's Day, I'd like my crush to become a vegan! I've already turned him into a vegetarian by showing him "Meet Your Meat" and talking about animal cruelty.
:]
For Valentines Day I want all the animals to be loved and treated the way they should be treated. the cruelty free way. I don't really care about the "love with boyfriends/girlfriends" on Valentines day i just want the animals to be safe!

how about meeting somebody (anybody?) in my town who care about animals. At all. I AM THE ONLY VEGAN AND ACTIVIST! I'm not "looking for love" or anything, just some help.
>mumbles under breath
; )
For Valentine's Day, I would like for the cancer in my chihuahua-rat terrier mix, Binky, to change from the recession stage to the "never-had-it"stage. He is so cute and we call him "Borky." We used to have another chihuahua mix that died at 23 years old several months ago. Then Binky got cancer and has had it since then. So maybe if our family was able to adopt another pet before Binky dies, that would be great also. If it's meant to be that Binky must leave us, which I hope not because I would be heartbroken, then we would still have another one to keep us company.
=[
Chocolates might help, though!
=]
I want my beau here with me :(,
and i'll need some choclates to cheer me up (heh)
I would love to spend time with my other single friends, enjoying each other's company, and realizing that love does not always have to come from the typical forms of relationships.

Posted by: Senga at January 31, 2009 6:12 AMFor Valentines Day, I would like my Local MP to be hit by cupids dart and fall in love with animals. Said MP currently is in full support of snaring, and would rather have his secretary send out copies of the same letter to those who appeal to him to speak out against this cruel and injust means of ''pest'' control.
For Valentines Day. I would like more UK supermarkets and food retailers to pledge to sell only British meat, or meat from countries with British (or better!) standards of welfare and slaughter.
While I myself am vegan, I understand millions of others do eat meat but can still have a big effect on the way the animals they're eating lived their lives.
For valentines day, I would like people to show some compassion and help eradicate speicism, instead of spending the day self involved and obsessing with themselves and a loved one while lining the pockets of Hallmark.
Valentines day should be about love, not greed.

I've wanted my own dog for such a long time but now I drop hints all the time to my aunt (I live w/ her) to let me have a day at the shelter to find a new best friend. Also I've asked my relatives to go vegan for as long as they can starting the day after the superbowl (bc they insist on having a bar b que :/) with recipes I've saved, so I reaaally would love it if they could see how easy it is and save innocent lives forever. IN EXCEPTION to these delicious choclits ;) the present I'd like most of all is to finally have someone to share my chocolates with. ^.^
xx
I think it would be a great Valentines gift for my special someone, since she loves chocolates, but she also likes to be really helthy. I always try to get chocolates for her, but she will never eat more than 1 or 2, even if they're supposed to be really good.
And also, thank you so much for this great alternative for us lactose intolerant.
