Santa Can Help You Save Animals December 2, 2008
Posted by Marta | Permalink | Comments ( 33 ) | TrackBackIt's not exactly a secret here in peta2 land that I'm pretty much obsessed with Christmas. Yes, I've been using a Christmas mug for the past several months to drink my Irish Breakfast Tea. Yes, I've been listening to Christmas music since July. Yes, I basically have The Santa Clause memorized. I love me some holiday spirit.
So you can imagine how excited I was about our awesome new Street Team mission: Taking a photo with Santa! Check out the picture I took with my friends Kelly and Paul:
Fun, right? All you gotta do is print out your sign of choice below, then go find a jolly ole St. Nick near you to take a picture with! You can pay for a picture, or bring your camera with you and have a friend snap a photo.

Once you get your picture taken, be sure to set the photo as your default on Facebook or MySpace, then e-mail a link to StreetTeam@peta2.com. Not only will you put a smile on my face, as well as all of your friends, you'll be spreading a positive message this holiday season. Oh, and we'll give you 2,000 points.
Happy holidays!
P.S. Have you made Christmas cookies yet?!

Posted by: Tiffany at December 4, 2008 7:56 AMumm... i am a vegetarian but... what is the difference between soy milk and just regular milk???
Posted by: becca at December 4, 2008 2:51 PMWell, see, soy milk is made from soy... while just regular milk is... ya know... not... :) It's made after stealing a mother's newborn away and stealing all her milk while her calf is turned into some meatitarians entree.

Posted by: leah at December 11, 2008 9:33 AMokay i have a question entirely not related to this but i can't find where it may be related in here but so i have two cats and a dog. i'm sure you guys don't feed your animals vegetarian food? i give my cats fish and the left over turkey from thanksgiving (which i didn't eat) and i don't enjoy having to cut it up for him, i hate the feeling of it ugh anyways i mean what DO you do?? that's what they do in the wild we can't deny it to them. my dog chews these gross bones my husband buys and it all gives me the jibbies what do you guys do for you cats and dogs? i mean even the dry cat and dog food that is best for our animals has meat as the first ingredient and anything but is suppose to be bad for them?
Posted by: at December 11, 2008 9:59 AMActually, dogs are omnivores so they can easily eat a vegetarian diet just like people. There are lots of vegetarian dog foods available. Cats are a bit more tricky since they're carnivores but vegetarian diets exist for them as well. Here's a link to more info:

I'm gonna do that. Theres a santa at the mall right now.
I did something a bit different with mine. I printed out the "We wish you a veggie Christmas" and the "Soy to the world" ones. My sister and I held them up in the car as our mother drove. I must say that it attracted alot of attention! Alot of double takes! One lady even smiled and gave the thumbs up! It was great!
