food Thanksgiving green west coast
Oh what a full week we had, and I mostly mean my tummy being full of DELICIOUS vegan food—but also the schedule. In our last week with hellogoodbye we hit up Seattle, Portland, San Fran, and Hollywood. And I'll tell you what—the west coast shows some veg love!
We met these girls in San Fran—they were proud to be veggie heads AND showing that Meat's Not Green.

Why is meat not green? You haven't heard this yet? No worries—I got you. There are a ton of reasons, but one is that animal agriculture uses 70 percent of the world's agricultural land and 30 percent of the planet's total land area. Seventy percent of the leveled rain forest in the Amazon is used to raise animals for meat consumption. That's a lot of land being destroyed! Want to know the best way to help the environment? Go vegetarian!
And you know what is so great about being veg? All the new kinds of food you'll try! This week we went to Pizza Pi in Seattle, one of two totally vegan pizzerias in the US. Casandra chowed down on a personal pizza while I feasted on spinach and artichoke dip, and a calzone with onions, peppers, and sun dried tomatoes! Don't judge.

The fun doesn't end there my friends! I personally cooked a Traditional veg Thanksgiving dinner! Oh yes, I don't just write blogs—I can cook too! Take a little look at my before and after shots!

Man it was tasty! Did you have any vegan delectables this year? Some people ask around this time of year why we shouldn't eat turkeys, and there are so many reasons, besides that they are beautiful, intelligent, social animals. But this investigation shows the routine cruelty that turkeys and other animals go through everyday!
I'm Thankful that so many of us each save 100 animals lives every year, by simply NOT eating them. So thanks to all the current and future veg heads out there, for helping to save the planet and animals!
Jam out
Paige
