If you're anything like me, the thought of having a big, dead, stuffed bird as the centerpiece of your Thanksgiving meal is definitely cringe-inducing—and I'm sure the 300 million turkeys raised and killed for their flesh each year in the US aren't thrilled at the thought, either.
Lucky for you, me, and the turkeys, there are lots of alternatives available, including one of my favorites, Tofurky!
Here are my top five reasons you should eat a Tofurky this year:
- No animal was tortured in the making of a Tofurky.
- No one has to stick her/his hand up a turkey's butt. Tofurkys don't have butts.
- Murder should never be cause for celebration.
- Tofurky roasts are available practically everywhere. Seriously, check this out.
- Turkeys will be thankful.
With all that in mind, we want to give you a chance to win a Tofurky this Thanksgiving to share with your family! That's right, five of you lucky people will win a Tofurky Roast, with a side of "Giblet" and Mushroom gravy—it's delicious on top of the sliced Tofurky Roast!

All you gotta do is blog about why you won't be eating turkeys this Thanksgiving (for all of your friends to see!), then leave a link to your blog as a comment below. By commenting with your link, you'll be entered to win one of five Tofurky Roasts with gravy.
The contest ends on November 19 and winners will be selected and notified the same day. Winners will have the choice of free shipping from anywhere in the Continental U.S. or a VIP coupon that will allow them to pick up their prize at a local grocery store.

P.S. For some delicious vegetarian Thanksgiving recipes, check this out.

i have been a vegan for almost two years now and tofu is way better then any meat i ever i had(: this makes me actually have a good thanksgiving without seeing some animal dead on my table
D
heyyy.
im not eating turkey because turkeys are cute. actually. ive been a vegetarian for ever a year now and its mainly because i think animals are too cute and precious to eat. Tofurkey is expensive and me and my best friend darlen are enjoying thanksgiving together and are planning to make a tofurkey dinner. we be came vegetarians within weeks of each other and are excited to celebrate our 2nd meat-free thanksgiving. last year i definitely replaced turkey with squash and i would love to have tofurkey!!!!! not eating meat is such an accomplishment once youve grown up doing it, so thanks to everyone who has made the decision to be cruelty free.
Happy Tofurky Day To All!! http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog
Unfortunatly i live i nthe united kingdom and i am not a vegitarein. But i have people in my family that come from america so we do celebrate it. I have been thinking about going veggie for a hwile now just havent though of any alterntives but this looks delicious. Anouther down point is i dont know where i can get a tofurkey Thats why i would love to win this. And Happy Thanks Giving To All!!
This is a great Thanksgiving food. I've turned 3 out of 5 members of my family off meat!! maybe this will be the year to sit down to a Animal free meal!!
Tofu turkey is better without a doubt!
OMG! i really need one of these or im gonna go mad since im the only vegetarian in a house of carnivorse!!! DX

We've never had a Tofurkey, preferring instead to do everything for our Thanksgiving meal from scratch, but we're getting one this year for convenience sake since we have a 6-month old baby in the house now.
I LOVE ANIMALS AND I JUST CAN'T LOOK AT A POOR HEADLESS TORTURED TURKEY AND EAT IT. I'VE SEEN OTHER ANIMAL FARMS, LIKE TYSON AND OTHERS, LIKE COWS, PIGS, AND CHICKEN FARMS THAT DISGUST ME ALSO. PERDUE WON'T EVEN LET ANYBODY IN TO SEE WHAT MAY REALLY BE GOING ON IN HIS FARM.
Dead Turkeys is MURDER! 11:14pm
I am not eating turkey right now nor will I eat it for thanksgiving. There's just something about eating an animal that has been raise in torturous conditions just to sell to the ignorant masses to make profit for some fat cat that I don't feel I can par take in.

Yummmmmm I wish we had more things like this available near where I live.
I've never had a tofurky but I've always wanted to try one.I will be in the hospital for thanksgiving so i will probally be having clear liquids.lol yuck! ty 4 the entry!
we really don't celebrate thanksgiving as a holiday but we do have family meals, all 3 of my daughters have been veg's for several years, my youngest now for 5 so eating turkey has never been something we really do. The Tofurky will be part of our winter holiday celebration
Wow, that looks really good.
I've never actually had Tofurky before because it isnt sold anywhere close to where I live (I live out in the middle of nowhere), but I'd really love to try it!
That looks yummy!
We having been trying this year to become more vegan oriented…still eat fish and eggs. Getting there slowly. I've been told that Tofurky is as good as the real thing. I would love to serve this during this holiday season.
Here's the link to my blog!! Thanks for fighting for the animals!

These are YUMMMMMMMMMM,,,we mnake one a month at least all year……even great warmed up later.
I'm a newer vegatarian this will be my first holiday season, as an OR nurse i feel that the farm animals are as unhealthy as my patients ( I was a Vet tech prior) I would never want to take a bite of flesh so unhealthy. One of our surgeons said that when he carved into his last turkey, he found a tumor, gross… we won't even mention the utter cruelty. would love to try this product to go with my potatoes and stuffing.
my friend who is a vegan like myself is having to supply for herself and her little sister. for the two of them he only has $250 a month and is currently on food stamps. shes doesn't have the money to buy thanksgiving dinner and her mother is in jail. so all she has is herself and her sister.
also there are little vegan options for us and what we can find is pricey beyond our limits. please help me help bring joy to my friend and her sister. they deserve to at least have a turkey.
Here ya go.

I've never had a Tofurkey but would love to try one!
Animals should be able to enjoy the holidays as well. Besides who really likes feel all stuffed and sleepy after you eat a turkey. I don't. I like going for walks after I eat and tofurky give me energy for that. I have been a vegetarian for 16 years. I love it and I love how I feel and being able to tell others about it.
My doctor recommends a meatless diet for me.
I've been vegetarian for 20 years … Tofurkey is delicious!
My family does not wish for me to enjoy tofurky on thanksgiving, they do not wish for me to be a vegetarian, it fustrates me. My own family can not tolerate my choices, but I hope to win to show them I will stand up against the negativeness
I will not be eating a cute little turkey this year, just like every year for the past 15 years!
I can't imagine celebrating the concept of giving by taking the life a fellow creature on this earth!
No thank you! Instead, I will be grubbing on a delicious Tofurky, with some delicious vegan pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, and yum-a-lum veggies!
Death be damned! I'm celebrating life!
This year is so tough for me and my family. We suffered a huge fire last year and lost everthing (it was on tv and papers)! Then my husband got hurt real bad. We are barely making rent so we won't have money for food, giving, or gifts. We are vegan/vegetarians and I would like my children to feel normal at this time of year. Does anyone know where I could get a Tofurky for my family? Appreciate any help or info.
God bless and thank you for all your help.
