Jared Padalecki Fans Raise Money for PETA! November 13, 2008

Jared Padalecki has legions of dedicated fans, yours truly included, who tune in to Supernatural each and every week to watch him and his co-star Jensen Ackles kick demon ass. Who doesn't want to watch hot guys spew clever dialogue while defending the innocent in a good vs. really, really evil battle to save the world?!

Anyway, a bunch of these fans are not only dedicated to the show but they're also dedicated to helping Jared in his real-life fight against evil. A few years back the marvelous Mr. Padalecki and his adorable dogs Harley and Sadie starred in one of peta2's cutest anti-fur ads ever to raise awareness about what really happens to animals, including cats and dogs like his, before they're made into clothing and accessories.

Knowing that this issue is important to Jared, the crew over at SupportSupernatural.com decided to help spread the word about his efforts to combat the fur industry and managed to raise some major dough at the same time. A big shout out to Lindsay and Heather for organizing the fundraiser and enlisting the help of other fans who generously donated more than $1200 to help us help animals. Pretty inspirational, no?
