The news stories are rolling in everywhere from CNN to the Chicago Tribune as people react to the outrageous abuse of pigs at a factory farm in Iowa.

It's difficult to watch, but if there's one thing you do this week for animals, I hope it will be to sign the petition and show this video to everyone you know!
Since it's such a serious issue, we wanted to find a more creative way to encourage you to spread the word. We came up with the tagline "Turn Up Your Nose At Pork," because while pigs are awesome, eating their flesh is not!
Here is an example of how you can use the signs.
You can upload your photo to MySpace, Facebook, or wherever, but if you also upload it here we will give you 1000 Street Team points! And please make sure you add a caption if you post it online that tells people to go to http://getactive.peta.org/campaign/p2_iowa_sows2?c=p23095 to sign the petition.

I've never understood why people eat pork: it tastes nasty, smells gross and pigs are just too cute to eat!

Then I learned about all the nasty things that go into pork I went vegetarian. Now I've got a real excuse to not eat pork and good reasons to back up my cause. Thanks peta 2!

Posted by: emily at September 20, 2008 10:02 AMI HATE PORK!!!!I used to,when I first ate it,but I had it to many times.So now,when pork sandwiches are near,I eitheter run for my life,or stay and cough.Now I don't know what the heck I was thinking!!!!!!!My friend and I are gonna do a (lame)cupcake "business".But they're,like,unique,like,designer,and we were thinking of donating half the price to the World Wildlife Fund,until I heard about this.So now,if I find a way,1/3 to the WWF,1/3 to us,and 1/3 to get supplies and stuff to protest against KFC.But,I live in a small town,and we used to have a KFC,but moved it to a big city about 60 miles away.So we need money for gas to.It's $3.75 were I live.I blame gas guzzlers.This is long.Ha HA!!!Long comment.Maybe my friend could help me protest.It's hard for me to be a veggie,but all I like is hot dogs.AND CHINESE FOOD!!!!!!Yay!!!i love webkinz!!!I have 58.

Pork tastes disgusting, it's completely horrible for your body, it's full of fat and gross things that make you sick, and to top it off piggies are so terribly adorable I can't imagine why anyone would be so cruel to let them be killed just so they can have some more fat. Poor beautiful adorable little piggies.
