Free Stuff Friday: Vegetarian Hoodie! September 5, 2008
Posted by Ashleigh | Permalink | Comments ( 2199 ) | TrackBackI have found the staple for your cruelty-free back-to-school wardrobe. Is it a great pair of jeans or a pair of faux-leather boots?
Well, those are nice, but I'm thinking of peta2's new 'Vegetarian' Zip Hoodie:

Notice how 'vegetarian' looks. Vegans AND vegetarians can rock this hoodie because it says both!
Comment below telling me why you want to wear this everywhere you go for a chance to be one of THREE lucky winners!

I have recently became a vegetarian. I sent in for your infomational packet and i watched the DVD. I was horrifide. I cried. Since then i can't even touch meat. I thank you for that... Best change in my life
Posted by: Rebecca Sheffield at September 5, 2008 9:26 AMI want to wear this everywhere I go because I'm proud to be vegetarian (going vegan!) and I want the world to know!

I would love to have this hoodie because I want the world to know that I don't eat meat! I'm proud to be a vegetarian and I soon want to go Vegan and i want everyone to know how I feel about the dairy and meat industry! This hoodie is so0o cool!!! I'd love to wear it everywhere! I think I should win one too show my veggie pride and because TODAY IS MY 19th BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!! GO PETA2!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Heather at September 5, 2008 9:52 AMWinning this hoodie to me would be AMAZING because im the type of person that never wins anything but still does their best at it. Even though this is just a short essay contest, i feel i was destined to write to you about this kick ass hoodie. I have been vegetarian for 4 years and have also influenced others into becoming one. Any chance i get, i like to protest against animal cruelty and even though people might think im weird because of it, i know and hope i've reached someones interest in finding out more information about being vegetarian. I LOVE being vegetarian and wouldnt change it for the world. This hoodie would deffinatley be put to good use if i won one because 1. I dont have any other hoodies and 2 because i love supporting what I am.
as they say, "You are what you eat!"
Man, I fell in love with that thing when it first came out. I love earthy colors, like browns and greens. Clearly, CLEARLY, I was meant to own and wear the most amazing vegetarian/vegan hoodie EVER. It's really convenient for when I finally go vegan, I won't even have to buy a new hoodie! See, you guys are so smart when you design new clothes.
Posted by: Christine Templeton at September 5, 2008 10:02 AMI want to wear this to show everyone how proud I am to be a vegan! Hopefully it'll get people talking about animal rights - and it would be something cool for me to wear when doing activism!
Posted by: Caroline at September 5, 2008 10:20 AMI would adore having this hoodie!!! I'm actually at school right now and early we were talking about the proudest thing we have done this year, mine was going veg! I swear to god I would wear this hoodie everyday if I won it!!!!!!! i would wear it to school, church, movies, concerts, anywhere and everywhere I go.
I really really want this hoodie!

I want this hoodie because then like everything else that i have it would tell people that i am a vegetarian! Plus since winter is coming up it will keep me warm while i look way stylish!!! I just like the jacket to because its a definate coversation piece, whether its getting people to talk about animal rights or what not it will get them talking!!!!!
xx
I want to wear this hoodie everywhere because i'am very proud to be a vegetarian and i want the world to know it and because i want the world to know that i don't eat animals, i also want to wear it everywhere because i want people to think outside the box and because i want people to ask me why i'am a vegetarian and i'll tell them because i can't stand eating dead animals.
Brown go's with everything.
I don't know if you need my size, but here it is anyway.
size:M.
Please please please please please pick me!!!!.
I would like to win this sweater so that I can give it as a gift to my sister. She has been a vegan for over 5 years. I really want to win this for her because she has always stuck true to her animal rights belifes no matter how many people made fun of her or bugged her about the food she wouldn't eat or how stupid they thought her belifes were. It would be a great gift to give her!
I want to win this so I can show the world that I'm a proud vegan!!
Posted by: Heather C at September 5, 2008 10:58 AMThis is a gorgeous hoodie! I love the world play on vegetarian! I would love this hoodie to make a statement with my clothing. I want the world to know that I'm a vegetarian, and a life saving person! I'm so proud to be a vegetarian, I want the world to know! If it weren't for PETA, I wouldn't be a vegetarian and I hope that with this fantastic hoodie I can convince more people to make the same transition, for their health, theirselves and most importantly, the animals!
If you need it, my size is small. =]
Posted by: Natasha at September 5, 2008 12:00 PMah! i love this hoodie! (: (: (:
Its so cute and especially perfect for me since I'm surrently making the change from vegetarian to vegan. yay! (:
I would love this hoodie! I would wear it everywhere because up here in Canada, especially Winnipeg, nobody really cares about animal welfare and vegetarianism. I wear my PETA hoodie and PETA tote out and people stare at me with really weird looks on their faces. I would love to see their expression if I wore this. I'm sure a lot more people in the city here would look into PETA and try out vegetarianism.
Posted by: Aneliese Krulicki at September 5, 2008 12:26 PMI would definitely wear this everywhere I go because I'm representing something great about me, and taking a point across, that being, that I'm proud to be a vegetarian. :)
Posted by: Chris Hernandez at September 5, 2008 12:31 PMits a great conversation starter & an excuse to promote AR. im vegetarian and proud, and i want to encourage other people to go veg too!
Posted by: Lottiee at September 5, 2008 12:51 PMI like how this jacket looks!!!
also i would like to show off that im a vegetarian
by wearing this jacket, Cause im proud to not be a meat eater and would like to represent what i am.
I wold wear this hoodie everywhere, because I'm proud that I'm a vegetarian. Plus, maybe people will ask why I'm wearing it, or whatever I can try to explain it to people that vegetarian/vegan is way better than eating meat.
oh wow, i never noticed that it said vegan in the other bits. i think thats super awesome. i mean, im trying to go vegan now, btu im finding it super hard so i was like well, im not going to get the vegan hoodie till i know that ic an stick to being vegan for long enough. but i am trying my hardest.
and i was saving up some money for that one to buy it! but ive been spending all my money on veg food cause my mum doesnt really like buying it for me so much...
ive been veg for a year and a half now. so i hope i can go vegan soon.
awesome hoodie, love the design, love peta. :)
I need to wear this everywhere since I live in pithole city where there are hardly any vegans.
Posted by: Natasha at September 5, 2008 1:14 PMI would wear this sweatshirt so when my mom invites me to dinner she'll stop trying to make me eat fettucine alfredo because "no animals were hurt making it." Oh mom, you'll never learn.
and it's cool and I'm cool so we'd be a perfect vegan match.
i would love this hoodie
1 it would tell the world i care about and support animal welfare
2 it would keep me snuggly and warm in horrible english weather
3 i'm super proud to be a vegetarian and this will get people talking
4 love the colour and it will go with everything
love milly
Posted by: milly rowland at September 5, 2008 1:22 PMi would lovvvve to win that hoodie.
i can't really afford most of the Peta merchandise.
it would be nice if i won this.
=DDD
I would love to win this hoodie and wear it everywhere because no one in my life and no one i know supports me in being vegetarian but i ignore them and carry on because i beleive in what i am doing and that it is the right thing to do. If i got this hoodie i would where it everywhere, not just because by doing so i am promoting mine(and peta's) beleifs and hopefully turning a load of people to veggieness, but also because England gets really cold and i would get loads more wear out of it. If i did win, it would meen that i could be oh so smug wearing infront of all the people in my life that dont support me,vegetarianism or animal rights in general.
Please choose me, i love this hoodie!
If I won this hoodie, I would wear it on a daily basis. I would be able to make an impact on every person I pass, without saying a word. When I go to the grocery store, while I'm pumping gas or while I'm walking around town..everyone will see that I'm a vegan. I don't want a pat on the back. I want to make a difference. I want people to see that I'm your neighbor, your co-worker, your friend AND I'm vegan. If I can make take a stand, so can they!
Posted by: Leahann L at September 5, 2008 1:42 PMI need this hoodie, because it will not only keep me warm, but it will keep animals warm too, by letting them keep their skin!
Plus, once it reaches 65 degrees -- you will NEVER see me without a hoodie. It would be a great vegetarian awareness tact if I wore this 6 straight months out of the year, huh? (probably a little smelly too)
Comment below telling me why you want to wear this everywhere you go for a chance to be one of THREE lucky winners!
Because it's COLD in the steak capital of the world! (And I mean that both literally and metaphorically, biologically and emotionally.)
Posted by: kelly g. at September 5, 2008 1:45 PMI would want to wear this hoodie everywhere I go because I'm proud to be a vegetarian. And because I want everyone else to know that I support people being vegan/vegetarian. In case you need my size it's a small.
Posted by: cara at September 5, 2008 1:51 PMTo Peta:
At my school a lot of my peers make fun of me for being vegetarian, but I've been one for almost seven years now! I want to be proud of that and rock a sweatshirt like this to show everyone no one should be ashamed to be meat free.
-Keight
Posted by: Keight at September 5, 2008 1:57 PMI need this hoodie! After 21 years of vegetarianism and 6 months of veganism, this hoodie will be an 'in your face and proud' to all my friends and colleagues who constantly tell me I'm slightly stupid because of my eating habits. And maybe it would make them think twice before tucking into that burger in front of me...
Posted by: jay p at September 5, 2008 1:58 PMWell, I'd rather go naked than wear fur, and this hoodie seems like a perfect middle ground.=]
Posted by: Leesh at September 5, 2008 2:02 PMI would love this sweater to wear around and share with my daughter because we are proud not to be meat eaters. I love hoodies, and so does she and we would love to share this one!
Posted by: Kelline Boel at September 5, 2008 2:04 PMover the last year or iv managed to get my frinds to go veggie and i love it. i would like the hoodie because it is just addorable and i love the fact that i can say no to meat becase you dont want to contribute to animals being treated like thats. its like being on the good half of sciety and i like making a stand for something i beleive in.
thanks Peta2
brooke (:
Posted by: brooke at September 5, 2008 2:19 PMFirst of all, this hoodie rocks my vegan socks!
I've been a vegetarian for ever! This hoodie will help my school, and my friends realize that killing animals, testing on them, animal cruelty, and using them as a fashion piece, is just down-right WRONG!!
For the past 2 years I've been in highschool, I would tell people I'm a vegetarian, and I would get wierd nasty looks like I'm an alien, or made fun of -- for NO apparent reason, And I always stick up for what I truely believe in.
This hoodie, may seem like another hoodie to some people, but to me, It's SOOOOOOOOO much more than that. It's showing that I have pride, and I would like to make a difference in this cruel world!
-J
i would where it everywhere! im vegan, but i dont want to get the vegan hoodie because i like zip up hoodies better. and if i got the veg*n hoodie, my vegetarian friends could wear it too.
=]
MEAT IS MURDER!
and thats the message i want to get out by wearing it :]
I would where it everywhere so that without saying a word people see the word vegetarian. And maybe it would stick in their minds causing them to think about it a little bit. And i'd wear it because im a proud vegetarian. And generally when someone wheres clothing that says something on it that is not a brand or a witty line people tend to ask you about it. That gives me more people to talk about vegetarianism to, some of who might actually turn veg and that means more animals saved. It would also tell people what type of person i am.
Posted by: Madhvi at September 5, 2008 2:48 PMI need clothing! Ah! After being a vegetarian for about three years and having to deal with harassment from my family members I would love a hoodie to show off my pride in vegetarianism
Posted by: Jes at September 5, 2008 2:56 PM:) im so glad peta brought out a vegetarian hoodie, and its for vegans too! i want the hoodie because its cold and lonely being the only vegetarian in my family, and i want to show off my vegetarian diet to everyone i see x
Posted by: charlotte webb at September 5, 2008 3:04 PMi would wear this hoddie everywhere XD i love hoodies they are basically all i wear but if i won this one i would donate all the ones i own so i could wear it 24-7. i love going out at school and seeing everyone look at my shirts and seeing on their face the questions and considerations as they read about saving lives. i like doing the same just walking down the street and having people do double takes. it fun to go to concerts and events handing out leaflets or just goofing around and telling random people about peta. one last thing is that besides some understanding smart friends no one around me really supports my decisions. my parents dont like the shirts i own and actually refused to buy me this exact hoodie when i asked for it because of some obscure reason. but anyways very cute jacket, great message, amazing movement XD
Posted by: rachel caldwell at September 5, 2008 3:10 PMholy mother of corn :)
thats so freaking awesome.
i would totally wear that everyday im not even kidding i love that sweater so much and im a sweater i kinda wear sweaters during the summer too. i would wear it to the mall to school and to grocery stores :)
and i want to let people know that im a vegetarian.
i rather wear that sweater than wear fur :)
I want to wear this everywhere I go to show my veg*n pride. And of course, I'm sure people will ask about why I'm vegetarian especially if it's printed across my clothes like that so I'll have great chances to tell them all about the cruelty to animals and the nasty stuff in meat and how easy and great being veg is.
Posted by: Kristi at September 5, 2008 3:19 PMI would love this hoodie so much! I love being a vegetarian, and I would never go back to eating meat EVER (and it is all thanks to PETA) and since I saw this hoodie I've wanted it so badly! All my classmates, and my family as well, have made fun of me or joked around with me because I refuse to eat meat, and eventually I just wish I could make them shut up! I love my PETA t-shirts, but with winter coming forward, I don't want them to get all bundled up underneath a sweater! If I had this, I would walk around my high school and feel so incredibly proud to be vegetarian and a huge animal rigts supporter. And on top of that, it would put everyone out there in their place. And on top of that, I live in my hoodie. I've had the same one for 4 years now! So you know it's going to get some good use if I get one of them. And on top of that, it would go AMAZINGLY with my PETA tshirts, 100% recycled school bag and leather-free shoes ;)
Please please please pick me to get this hoodie! Forget sexiest, I would be the HAPPIEST vegetarian alive!
Posted by: Jessye at September 5, 2008 3:21 PMIm a known vegetarian activist at my high school. No one but my friends really take me seriously, but I changed some minds. They don't really think of the animals they eat from our school cafe. My school's in the process of adding vegetarian friendly items on the menu.
I'd love the sweater to show that I am a vegetarian and I tried to make a difference in how people think.
Posted by: at September 5, 2008 3:21 PMI would wear this sweater where ever I could, because I am very proud to be a vegetarian, and don't have a lot of stuff to show it. I don't have a credit card or a lot of money because I'm in college. I would wear the sweater to all events so people will see that i am a vegetarian, then when they ask about it i'll give them some leaflets. It would also show people how passionate I really am about being a vegetarian, and that its not some sort of phase.(even though I've been vegetarian for like 5 years)
Posted by: at September 5, 2008 3:22 PMI would wear this EVERYWHERE because it really shows that cruelty free clothes can be rockin'...and it will show everyone who sees it that I am proud to be veggie!
Posted by: elizabeth at September 5, 2008 3:38 PMWhy? Because I love to tell people how I've been a vegetarian for about a year now, and have recently decided to go vean over the past couple weeks, and this will do it without words, to those whom I do not know.
:)
Posted by: Jessica Harrold at September 5, 2008 3:39 PMI want this hoodie cuz of how proud I am to be vegetarian! I want everyone around me to know that I care about animal rights and how much of a difference it really does make to live a vegetarian lifestyle! I live in a place where people from all over the world come to live and work. Because of that i deal with so many people from different cultures that find it wrong to be vegetarian! Not just weird but morally wrong! Yes there are many people here that share the same views as me but most dont! I find myself standing up for my views on animal rights everyday! But I love too! I want the whole world to know how I feel and this hoodie would help make the same statement I do everyday when I stand up for those who cant speak for themselves! (Not to mention it would go great with my snowboard pants! I could wear it everyday on the slopes! hahaha) But seriously, I would love this hoodie and would were it everyday! Even if you dont pick me to win one at least let me know where i could buy it! I've gotta have one!
Posted by: Lacey at September 5, 2008 3:45 PM I would personally love to have this hoodie so that I would be able to express my vegetarianism to my whole class! It also looks like the perfect thing for this fall; I'll be showing my vegetarian pride and keeping toasty warm in the process.
Going back to my class, I would like to confess that I'm the only vegetarian in the whole class. But I'd also like to show some of my favorite members of the class of 2011: our animal classmates! I think our chinchillas, often slaughtered horribly for their woderfully soft fur, would love to nibble on the sleeves (it's their way of showing affection). And I would show Moe, our African lizard, it next. He's a real sweetie and enjoys to have his back scratched and for someone to peel off some of his excess skin.
If I won this wonderful hoodie, I could only wish that my rats, Sugar and Spice, were still alive so that they could explore the pockets looking for treats and crawl around in the sleeves. (I love you two! RIP!!)
It would also be fun to where this in front of some of my family memebers, for instance, my father because he teases me and sends me meat catalogs (he thinks he's funny), my uncle because he's a sissy and quit being a vegetarian, and my grandmother because she always forgets that I don't eat meat.
Thank you for the wonderful oppertunity! I hope to hear from you on October third! Thank you!
Posted by: Salome at September 5, 2008 3:47 PMI totally would love to have this hoodie because 1- it's super cute and 2- I'm tired of people saying "OMG--you're vegan?!!?!?!?!?!" every other day when they find out, and I want EVERYONE to know! B)
Posted by: Mallory at September 5, 2008 3:48 PMi would wear this hoodie everywhere, no one really believes in what i do is right where i come from, they make fun of me beacuse im no the normal meat loving person everyone else it. I think it is sick and cruel. and the hoodie would show off to my friends that think my ideas are hilaroius and not right
Posted by: Caila at September 5, 2008 3:55 PMif i won this sweater, when i wear it people will ask why im vegetarian and i will explain all the torture animals have to go threw for one simple meal that could be replaced by veg. food. that way maybe i could convert some more people. Just like i've been trying at school, some people have tried it because of hat i've told them :] and atleast thats a step.
Posted by: Katherine at September 5, 2008 3:56 PMI would wear this Vegatarian hoodie everywhere because i think that being a vegatarian is awesome and i want everyone to know that i am one and i want everyone to be inspired by me and i hope other people will make the choice to be a vegatairian!!
Posted by: Sara at September 5, 2008 3:57 PMI'd wear this so everyone would know how proud I am to be a vegetarian, that and at lunch people would stop asking me why I'm not eating.
Posted by: Ashley at September 5, 2008 3:58 PMi would wear this hoodie all the time to show others that im an proud to be a vegetarian!
Posted by: brittany at September 5, 2008 3:58 PMoh my gosh, I never noticed it said Vegan in it!
That is so totally gangster. :]
Why do I want to where it EVERYWHERE?
Well, first off, it would give me a smaller introduction.
I won't have to say "I'm mega, I'm a vegetarian" anymore.
Although I probably still will. :]
But, I guess I just want people to see how much I care, and how serious I am about it.
My whole family thinks they can tempt me back into eating me.
It disgusts me.
I think if I have the hoodie and where it everywhere, they'll get my point.
And also to spread the word.
I'm friends with just about everybody at my school, so maybe it will motivate them.
I know everyone will ask questions about it, and that's what I want. I want to educate them.
This hoodie is cute
Posted by: keiundria at September 5, 2008 4:09 PMThis hoodie is gorgeous! I never would be able to afford it though. This hoodie makes a good and positive statement, and it can start up a conversation. I never was so proud of my self before i was a vegetarian. This hoodie says it all, My love for animals is just amazing and so would this hoodie be, if i had one. Its amazing!!
Posted by: Kim at September 5, 2008 4:11 PMI would be absoulutely ecstatic if I won this sweatshirt. Its so adorable and crafty with both Vegetarian and vegan on it. I wear a sweatshirt most everyday all day due to blood circulation issue and my other sweatshirts are getting rather old, so this would be amazing if I won.
Posted by: Meggy at September 5, 2008 4:11 PMHi,
I would love to win this because I'm simply proud of being a Vegetarian and I want people to notice and hopefully pick up on it.
I truly wish there was more I could do other than speeches at school about it but if I won this sweater I would take great pride in wearing it everyday and also representing Peta!
I will never take it off ;) ! Good luck everyone and thanks Peta for everything :)!
Jess
Posted by: Jessica at September 5, 2008 4:19 PMI take an enormous ammount of pride in being a vegetarian. I also want to spread the word about vegetarians, I've already convinced a few of my friends to join my cause. I really think that by doing this, we're each putting our part into making the world a better place. I want this hoodie, because apart from the fact that i can spread the word, it'd mean that i'd done alot to win it, and that makes me feel great. i love peta!!!!!! :D
Posted by: Stephanie Chavez at September 5, 2008 4:29 PMI want to win this Hoodie so that I may start people in my area talking about vegetarianism. Right now I just have a pin that says "Vegetarians Save Lives" and while it does get some people asking questions, I want something that gets MORE people's attention!
I want to start an Animal Rights group at my College. I want to raise awareness of the terror that is Factory Farming. I want to let environmentalists know that Meat is Murder on the Planet! I want to get people to think about what they're eating instead of mindlessly digging into a slab of flesh like Zombies!
More than anything, I want to show my pride that I have pledged to not eat a living, breathing, loving, intelligent animal simply because they don't speak the same language as us. When did speaking a different language warrant someone to become dinner for another being? Flesh is flesh no matter how you slice it.
Not to mention, I live in Massachusetts so I wear a hoodie daily about 9-10 months of the year. Then, for the other 2-3 months I still wear hoodies at night. Not to mention I am about 50% of the way vegan, So this sweater will give me pride to go the rest of the way.
Posted by: Anya at September 5, 2008 4:36 PMokay, well i have only been a vegetarian for 5 months.sorry i can't top 7 years but i am so incredibly proud of myself and i will never, NEVER go back to eating meat.I have loved plants and animals all my life and I now know that what i have been doing all these years is cannibalism.During these 5 months i've tried again and again to get my huge meathead family to give up meat as well. This has earned me countless dirty looks and occasionally a heaping spoonful of pork on my plate,at which point i just get up and leave.I am sick and tired of people saying that i'm 'going through a phase' or 'just trying to rebel'.i would LOVE this hoodie so i can throw it in their faces and really prove that i'm committed..it's so simple and beautiful, and almost everything i own is in brown and green.
Posted by: Chelsea at September 5, 2008 4:41 PMI love this! My friends would beggggg me for it. But, i'd tell them to go get their own (: on peta.
Posted by: brooke at September 5, 2008 4:43 PMOMG! I want this hoodie SO BAD! I committed to being a vegetarian about 3 months ago, and now vegetarianism is my life! I'm so proud of myself and it's the best decision I've ever made. Okay. So I go to a super small school called Camden in the middle of nowhere. I mean it's literally surrounded by cornfields and Omish! So kids at my school don't even know the meaning of the word vegetarian and none of my friends knew what peta was! I know right! I NEED this hoodie so I can spread the word about animal rights! Not eating meat is unheard of where I come from, so I want kids to know that MEAT IS MURDER!!! So if you can't find it in you to give the hoodie to me, PLEASE at least do it for the animals. If I could just convince one person, thats a precious life saved! Plus, I'm starting to get kinda frustrated when people ask what a vegetarian is! LOL.
Work it Out for the Animals!!!
Bailey_G
I would wear this hoodie EVERYWEAR, and i mean every wear. school, church, the movies, the shower. I have a shirt and some stickers, but taking off one vegetarian dud and showing off another is like BAM!!
Posted by: Ashley Cook at September 5, 2008 4:48 PMI want it because I'm a vegetarian and I'm proud of it. I also want it because I like the fact that it isn't made of any animal skins, and I hate wearing animal skins, it's gross and uncomfortable. I want this sweatshirt so bad, and I like peta2 merchandise, peta2 merchandise is so friggen awesome.
Posted by: Jimmy Sirotniak at September 5, 2008 4:51 PMI've been a vegetarian for two years. My entire family is polynesian, and they eat nothing but meat!!! It's awful! I've never faltered when i went veg. I've been talking to my family A LOT lately, and i know that if i had that hoodie and wore it all the time (I'm anemic and ALWAYS in a hoodie and what not) it would push them more! Also, i could wear it to school, and work. AND, best part is, I live RIGHT by a KFC, so i would readily stand there and pass out flyers...it would be more convincing and easier if i could sport a vegetarian/vegan logo!=]
PLEASE PICK ME!!!:)
Posted by: Taylor! at September 5, 2008 4:55 PMI would make love to this sweater.
Posted by: Megan Gillis at September 5, 2008 4:56 PMit would be wickedly awesome if i could win this hoodie because its beautiful it supprts both vegans and vegitarians if i won i would wear this hoodie until it was totally impossible for me to wear it and then i would pass it on to my sister who i have influenced to be a vegitarian yay and i would also wear this sweater everywhere im even going to be doing my senior exibition on being a vegitarian so i could show off the sweatshirt and it will have to do with my presentation so thank you peta2 for giving people this opportunity and i hope i win
**sabrina vegetarian for 6 months and still going strong**
Posted by: sabrina at September 5, 2008 4:56 PMI want to wear this so that others who may be considering being vegetarian or vegan will see that others are too and that it is a great choice to make and then maybe they would because they wouldn't feel like it is such a "weird" or "strange" thing to do. Also, I want as many people as possible to know that I am a veggie because then maybe they will ask me any question they may have and I can hopefully answer it in an informed and credible way rather than asking someone else who may give them an incorrect answer. Mainly I want everyone to see how proud I am to be a member of this wonderful organization.
Posted by: Deva at September 5, 2008 5:00 PMOMG!! I LOVE THAT HOODIE!! First of all, I love the vegan into the vegetarian thing... AWESOME!! And second, I ADORE the colors!! It kind of matches the new meat is not green campaign!! Which is actually my favorite campaign so far:D Anyways, back to the awesomeness of the hoodie!! I want to wear this everywhere, because it'll tell people that i'm vegetarian, and maybe they'll ask me about it; why, how, maybe how they could be one!! Would'nt that be pure awesomeness? lol, i never noticed i type awesomeness so much until i saw this sweater!! Because it's full of it!! I would wear it constantly, and never take it iff(:
Posted by: Charity Baumann at September 5, 2008 5:02 PMi would love to have this sweater because i have recently became vegitarian and i feel like if i had that sweater it would be a great way to keep me motivated about what im doing.
Posted by: amanda at September 5, 2008 5:11 PMThe Vegetarian Hoodie ! I love it, I would never take it off-I was actually just laughing with my friends the other day about how I would wear it to bed because if I ever had to run outta the house at night than I would at least be warm !! hehe -- I would LOVE the hoodie because I would love to represent PETA here in Vancouver BC Canada, I never see a billboard, hear about PETA on the radio or on the news here...people still ask me what PETA is ?! I want to represent PETA LOUD AND PROUD!
GO TEAM PETA!
Posted by: Amanda at September 5, 2008 5:13 PMI love this sweater! I was at school when I first saw it after finishing a biology project and when I saw it I screamed out loud...and then everyone was staring at me...but anyway, my point is I love the sweater. I would wear it everywhere and especially to school and since it's getting colder it would be absolutely perfect! I really really really want to wint this sweater! Please, please, please let me win!!!
Posted by: Kara Anderson at September 5, 2008 5:16 PMI would wear this everywhere I go because I was a vegetarian who recently went vegan and am proud of that accomplishment!!! (which by the way was probably the easiest "accomplishment" I ever achieved thanks to the recipes from peta!!!)
Posted by: Stephanie at September 5, 2008 5:17 PMI'd were that hoodie every where
I went to point out the fact that I am a vegetarian then when they're ask if I'm a vegetarian( they always do!)
I can proudly say yes can't you read?
and tell them why I became a vegetarian so they feel bad about chomping down on that chicken wing in front of them!
Being a vegetarian isn't just a lifestyle change, it's a chance to show other people just how much vegetarians truly care.
Some people may be like 'They just do it for attention' Well, I'm not like that.
I am proud to call myself a vegetarian and I'd be proud to wear this hoodie!
I would NEVER take it off.
Peta Rules!!!!
WHOO
i would wear that every chance that i got!!! i luv it! it says both vegatarian and vegan, so its still wearable if u transfer from one to the other, and its the perfect way to show what you do to stop animal cruelty and to save the envirinment. it's like a billboard telling every-one u see about ur beliefs and personal choices, and i think thats AWESOME! i hope i win1

I want to wear this everywhere I go to confuse people. I am an old (39),frumpy housewife with three kids under the age of three. So I am probably the last person that someone would expect to be either A.) a vegetarian OR B.) hip and trendy. But underneath my C-section scars and my nursing bra, beats the heart of a hostile warrior on behalf of poor, unspoken-for animals everywhere (not unlike myself...sigh). Pity me and give me the d*** hoodie...please?

Posted by: Gregory at September 5, 2008 6:00 PMWho wouldn't want this jacket, it is the one thing I want in my wardworbe.First it is a jacket and I need one because it seems like I am always cold were ever I am.Then I am a vegan trying to become vegetarian, so I can save more animals and if I see it on me everyday then I will feel like one and become one.Next I would just work and show my pride that I am a vegan and if I win it I could wear it to school and everyone would look and ask question, then maybe I could talk to them and tell them about it and about peta. I already have to my friends but I don't have any thing that says peta or from peta. So just to give you it all I would like to reicieve the jacket so I would have some thing from peta,to keep me warm, to show my pride, and to spread the word about peta and becoming a vegan or vegeteraian. So that is all I hope this catches your I and you choose me to show my pride.

Posted by: Britt at September 5, 2008 6:18 PMi'd absolutely love to wear this. i live in a small town were there's a bunch of farmer's kid's and they're all whiney about us 6 vegetarians in town. and i think it would be beyond amazing to wear this around town because i think it's kind of fun to get into theese deep arguements with the pig heads that i live around.
it would be stupendous if i won this, but there are plenty of people who deserve them. so thanks for considering me =)
I'd wear it to keep the acid rain from falling on my head. Also so it's clearly pointed out that I will not be ordering that bacon double cheeseburger, so you don't even have to ask.
Posted by: J Chaborek at September 5, 2008 6:31 PMOMG!!! that is the cutest sweatshirt i have ever seen! to me and i would love to own it. I watched the DVD and i started crying so hard. i was completely mortified. I even put the stickers on my binder and on everything i own!..being a vegetarian is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I look back and realize that it is the best thing i have ever done. I would wear this sweatshirt everyday and everywhere to show that i care about the animals..to show that im doing my part by saving the animals of the world. A lot of people look at me and don't believe that i do not eat meat. But i want to know why..why is there a certain type of person that can only do certain things. So im entering to win this sweatshirt because i want the world to know what i am. and that i am very proud of myself and every vegetarian and vegan out there for doing their part to save the animals..and i hope people ask me why. So i can share my story with everyone, and maybe someone else will think about becoming a vegetarian.
Posted by: Jess<3 at September 5, 2008 6:45 PMI would love to wear this because not only am I a vegetarian and proud, but I'm also the ONLY vegetarian in this little town of mine. this hoodie is kick ass!
and it's a good way of supporting your belifs.
and it's kick ass
^.^
I want this beautifully designed sweater because my town is very conservative, and despite my efforts a majority of my school still devours poor tortured animals everyday. If I had this sweater, I would wear it all the time, and people would constantly be influenced about it and ask me about it. Plus it's super cute! Thank you if you even consider me! ^3^
brittany- My family doesn't understand either. Every night they prepare some animal, and put some on my plate. I always wrap it up, and leave it for my family in my fridge*, but it hurts they don't understand. It feels like they don't respect my choices. )`:
*I'm not going to waste some animal's death...
It is way cooler than wearing wool, leather, or fur to keep warm. I can show off my statement for the animals. Plus the design is freakin' awesome!!! PEACE:)
Posted by: Asha at September 5, 2008 7:47 PMThis shirt is the perfect opportunity to get people thinking. Usually people will ask you about vegetarianism and this gives us the chance to talk all about it. The more we can get the word out, the better for everyone (animals, environment, etc). If I can save one animal from suffering...if I can convince one person to eat less animal products, then I am making a difference. I hope we all work hard at this.
Posted by: Kristin at September 5, 2008 7:48 PMI would love this hoodie! I live in an area highly populated by young adults many of whom are vegetarian/vegan. This would be a great conversation starter. I don't like to push my beliefs on people but if other poeple see this sweatshirt they would know my opinion and could then ask questions or share their experiences. Plus it's really cool that it says both vegetarian and vegan at the same time.
Posted by: Jen R. at September 5, 2008 8:07 PMFirst off, it's pretty awesome in itself, and I could "show off" how proud I am to be a vegetarian as well! And it'd get everyone talking, and that would be my chance to tell them about the horrors of meat, etc. etc. and possibly create more vegetarians and more vegans. This is a great and easy way for activism. This would always be on top of my hoodie pile, and I'd wear it every day!
Posted by: grace at September 5, 2008 8:09 PMYou have to be proud that you are vegetarian!! You need to show the world!! And also the hoodie will get people curious about saving animals

Posted by: christopher h at September 5, 2008 8:32 PMI want this hoodie because I have been a vegetarian since i was in fifth grade I just laugh when people make vegetarian jokes and at school i hand out peta2 stickers and put them on my binder and hang up peta pictures in my locker so people see them and ask me about it Im thinking about and trying to go vegan so they way the jacket says vegetarian and vegan would be awesome plus when people see ait they will ask me why im a vegetarian which is my all time favorite question i love saying back to them; because you shouldnt kill animals so you can eat them and how would you like it if a cow came up and took a bite out of your leg? and the jacket at the peta store is really expensive so I dont want to ask my mom to buy it for me
Posted by: Becca G. at September 5, 2008 8:50 PMi would so wear this hoodie everyday because it is
a) so cute
b) it would annoy my chemistry teacher
c) it shows an awsome message without being too foward
i loved this sweater the first time i saw it! it looks so warm. . . and i would wear it everywhere i could probably even in the summer time so it could be the same as yelling out, "IM A VEGETARIAN!!!!!!!!".i am also known as a crazy vegetarian at my school cuz i have a habit of grabing ppl's that come in boxes or something and reading the ingredients and pointing out that something there is not only bad for them but worse for animals. its a good way to spread the vegetarian message. and this a heck of a good way to represent PETA. it would be good if i won cuz there is like no way i would be able to buy it. its to expensive. so pleeeeeeeeeeease let me win cuz i really want and need it.i would never take it off i would even wear it to sleep . . . i love being vegetarian and have been since i was born, even wen my family still ate meat. i would always spit out meat. i never swallowed it. please please let me win please. . . .
Posted by: sabrina at September 5, 2008 8:59 PMI have been a vegetarian for 3 years and I am always looking for fashionable clothes that will help the cause! I think I have just found one. ;)
Secondly, I would wear this hoodie everywhere in the fall and winter months, constantly spreading the word about vegetarianism!
Lastly, when people notice the writing on this hoodie, I would kindly tell them all of the cruelty that animals go through to make it to their dinner plates!
Posted by: Daniel Witkus at September 5, 2008 9:03 PMI would wear that Vegetarian Hoodie all over town because it is a great way to display how proud I am to be a vegetarian (6 yrs this Thanksgiving!). It would be a good conversation starter and a great way to connect with other vegetarians. Also, I love how it makes a statement that allows others to consider how they can make a big difference in the world just by choosing to let animals live their lives. I truly believe that vegetarianism is the least we can do in order to show respect to the world around us.
Posted by: Lena at September 5, 2008 9:05 PMAs part of your ideas for spreading the world about veganism, you told people to wear shirts like this.
I'm also made fun of like i'm sure many vegans/vegitarians. But really it doesn't bother me. I think this could show people to try it out too,
good luck,
Amanda-Nichole:)
Posted by: AmandaNichole at September 5, 2008 9:12 PMthis should be on the street team goods list.. as a vegan i don't think it's fair to the vegetarians.
Posted by: at September 5, 2008 9:19 PMI want to wear this hoodie everywhere I go, because I'm tired of people not believing me when I say I am. Just because I'm a guy doesn't mean I have to eat meat!
Yeah so if I win this i'd wear it everywhere I go and on hug A Vegetarian Day (which is on it's way - yay!) Not only is it making a positive statement, it's incorporating it into a stylish cool hoodie. The design is so kickass!
Posted by: Ryan Motamed at September 5, 2008 9:20 PMHmm, why would I wear this jacket??
Well, I'm proud to be vegitarian because not many people at my school are and it would get the point across, not to metion, i'm in high school and i would be a very good comercial advertisment for you. plus i wear a jacket everyday, no matter how hot it is and i only take them off to wash them. i would charish the jacket. if anybody ask about it, i would give them your website. i think it is important for people to become vegitarian or vegan because animal crulety is wrong, people get sent to jail for beating their animals, but what about them people who slaughter and eat them??? it may be a free world for us, but what about them? they are defencless... i mean at my school we have meat for lunch everyday, but there is no alternitive!!! i'd be proud to wear something as special as this and you'd be proud to pick me. but anybody who wins it, im happy for them, as long as they don't eat meat, not even once!
I would wear this everywhere because I always get really cold and I love supporting veganism and vegetarianism.
Posted by: Kyle at September 5, 2008 9:26 PMWell I think I am gonna buy the hoodie. It's funny to see what people will do for free stuff. It's a pretty sweet hoodie and if I buy it I am also supporting peta. I plan on going vegan soon. I have gotten a lot of help from Dylan(worked for you guys). I really hope these hoodies go to a couple of kids who deserve them, Kids who arnt being vegetarian to look cool or to be noticed, or kids who just want a free hoodie. I hope they go to kids who are proud to be vegetarians. Kids who do it to save life and know that there are meat alternatives. Good luck with the choosing Peta2 boys and girls.

Posted by: Jasonmanic at September 5, 2008 9:29 PMI would love to wear this around town! my top three reasons are listed below!
1. i live in a town full of ignorant people.(i'm the only vegan, let alone vegeterian). and i know that no one will listen to me unless i wear animal's right clothes. i know this because today i wore my "i'm not a nugget" shirt today and i found evryone noticed. and i got a chance to explain the shirt and what it meant.
2. i really want there to be change in my life at school and at home. i don't want to be the only one who cares about animals anymore! and hopefully by getting this hoddie and changing minds that can happen.
3. it is adorable and i can't think of anything i'd rather wear during the colder seasons.
XOXO Audreyy
Posted by: Audrey at September 5, 2008 9:31 PMWhy would I want this hoodie?! One thing, I've never really had a hoodie I could call my own, I usually borrow from my sisters, who aren't vegetarian at all, which makes me sad. Having this hoodie would also make people know more about me and notice I'm trying to make a statement. I do not mind being the only vegetarian in my household and amongst my friends, however sometimes it's hard when I see meat or poultry. Not because I want it, but it disturbs me and makes me want to save those poor animals. If I get the wonderful chance to get this hoodie, it will show off my pride as being vegetarian. Hopefully it will impact my family members, including my father who constantly forgets I even am vegetarian, and friends into taking more consideration on why I want to save animals and maybe persuade some of them as well.
Overall I want this hoodie because I do not have any vegetarian clothing to flaunt, and I honestly cannot afford any right now. I also wish to wear it and make people stop and think that I'm wearing it for reason. I know that by wearing it I can change at least one person, and that person can change another person. I'm sure of it.
Ok well, I tried. ^^ Maybe I'll get it, maybe not. Thanks for letting me try though, and I hope the 3 hoodies all find nice vegan/vegetarian owners to keep warm :D Let's change the world!!!

Posted by: at September 5, 2008 9:54 PMI would LOVE this jacket :) I became a vegetarian two months ago, and being only 13 I think it's a step up in my life. A few of my friends have said that they were vegetarians, but I see them gorge on meat all the time. I wear a jacket everyday, and I think that this jacket would be perfect for me. I am proud to express my vegetarianism, and would love to show it off with this jacket. Plus, I usually cannot afford jackets, and I think it would be great if I won.

I live in the south where everything is "fried" (Chicken). I think by me wearing this would send a message, a very important message. Not only by being a vegetarian does my body feel healthier, but I can represent PETA in a positive way.
I love PETA, and think that everyone should be a member. Animals can't speak, so lets speak for them. And show people with this TOTALLY AWESOME GREATEST LOOKING EVERY HOODIE HOW GREAT PETA IS!

Maybe a solid color. or maybe a giant logo on the front. With this jacket, I wouldn't be afraid to shout out "YES! I AM A VEGETARIAN (almost vegan!)" Being 13, not many people my age are committed to things that we do. But I have been vegetarian for about 6 months, and am fully committed. I would be very happy to win this!

Posted by: Shannon at September 5, 2008 10:28 PMHi! I recently beacame a vegetarian after many years of contemplating it. My parents thought I was crazy, and they made remarks like " How will you get enough protein?", and " Wont you miss meat?" I have to admit, I was a bit nervous on how I would do on a vegetarian diet, but I did some reasearch and realized it was the right thing to do, for animals and my health! Over the summer, I attended farm camp. My chores were taking care of the cows and chickens. Over the two weeks I spent with the animals, I came to realize what intelligent individuals they are, and that they should not be killed! It made me feel wonderful knowing I was not eating these creatures, but then I rememberd how many people do eat them. i want to try to educate others on the benefits of vegetarianism, including my parents. i have made quite a bit of progress, as my parents probably only eat meat once or twice a week, as oppossed to the everyday meat diet they once had. I would really enjoy this sweatshirt as it would proudly express my love for animals ang hopefully inspire some others to become vegan or vegetarian too!It has a bold but simple design. thanks for this wonderfull offer, and also for improving the lives of animals everywhere, PETA!

I love brown, it's my second favorite color so I like the hoodie a lot. There is accually a lot of vegetarians and vegans in my school, so I would like people to know that I am one too. Also, this sweater would match my other peta2 clothes, which are adorable by the way, haha. I wouldn't take this hoodie off when I wear it, it looks very comfy. Thanks if you read this, :)

Posted by: taylor at September 5, 2008 10:54 PMI like the sweater but am I proud to be a vegetarian? I am happy that I am but I don't think I'd be proud of who I am if I haven't informed so many people. If I were just a vegetarian and vegan-to-be and I hadn't told anyone a thing to change their lives and the lives of animals then I would not be proud. I would not wear this sweater everyday, if I did it would be very obvious that I'm the one who plasters those animal rights posters all over my school. I could get suspended for "inappropriate" material or something... or expelled, I know I would defend the matter. Enough of the rambling.
Peace.

Posted by: Teashia at September 5, 2008 10:57 PMOk i live in a place where hunting and feasting on meat is totally normal. My family is the greenest family in the whole town and we`re proud of it. I became a vegitarian because i believe thatwe should all do our part in trying to make a difference in this messed up world of ours. We must act now or we will regret it. I think if i get this sweatshirt i would wear it everywhere on my quest to spread the PETA word. I also think that if i get this my friends and community will want to join me in getting PETA apperal. Thank you greatly
Posted by: Addy at September 5, 2008 10:57 PMI live in Mississippi, and I love to announce to the world that I'm a vegetarian! I would wear this every where, at school, at the mall.. I'm all ready the veggie queen, and this would up my status. I've made a few people go veggie and if more people knew of my vegetarianism then they would ask me about it and then they would learn more and possibly go veggie!
Posted by: Holle Baer at September 5, 2008 11:02 PMI would love a sweater like this because, i am always cold and am always wearing a sweater so i might as well show my love of this lifestyle while i wear one. i live in a small farming community and only know a handful of veggies, i would probably get lots of funny looks and lots of questions, and get to spread the word around.
Posted by: December at September 5, 2008 11:17 PMI absolutely love that hoodie! It's gorgeous, and comfy looking, and IT SAYS VEGETARIAN! I really love how the word "vegan" is incorporated in it. It's great because if you're vegetarian, it applies to you, and if you're vegan it's even cuter because you get to point out the clever letter colouring to everyone you know. It's perfect for me because I'm leaving home and going vegan in a year. In conclusion, I cannot overstate how extremely happy I would be if I won this hoodie. It would be amazing! Well, good luck to everyone! :)
Posted by: Heather at September 5, 2008 11:22 PMI really would love this sweater, but I would give this awesome sweater to my friend for her birthday. I would want this for her because she can't really afford it.
It was all me who made her veg in the first place! And she is so excited about going veg and she really wants to spread the word to everyone in the school.
I am sure this is something she would love to have!
Being a vegetarian is one of the few things that gives me a sense of accomplishment every single day--I'm so proud of being able to do something to help this wonderful planet, and I'd love to be able show it off. Also, it would be a great way to raise awareness about vegetarianism. Many people (including my family members!) think of being a vegetarian is one of the biggest jokes around, but if I won this sweater, I'd have a chance to explain why I own it--to protest all the suffering that we inflict upon own fellow living creatures. If I won this sweater, I think I'd be able to convince at least a few people that, despite what we seem to think, humans aren't the only ones on this planet, and animals were not created to sustain: we all have the right to life, and even if that means giving up Big Macs, the end result is most definitely worth it.
Posted by: Natasha at September 5, 2008 11:29 PMThis hoodie looks amazing. Not only does it look cool and comfy, it's also an advert for a great cause. I would wear this everywhere (I love hoodies) especially college where everyone is eating burgers all the time.
Posted by: Meaghan F. at September 5, 2008 11:31 PMAh, would that have helped me when I was "treated" to salad bar at the Sizzler??? (the worker there told me that I could choose the marshmallow/sourcream/fruit option had all the protein I needed...) Still, it might help in other situations!
Posted by: Teresa Mueller at September 5, 2008 11:33 PMI would definately wear this everywhere for like 1000000 reasons! First im super proud of my vegetarianness! (Ive actually convinced a friend too!) And by wearing this i can show others my commitment to save animals and maybe get other people to become vegiterians! Maybe somebody will ask me what its like to be a vegiterian and I could explain an tell them all the good things about being one! Well im getting over excited... Anyway I'd never take it off cuz Its amazing and i'd feel honored representin peta! (

Posted by: Vanessa at September 5, 2008 11:37 PMI would want to wear this everywhere because it shows part of who I am and that I care about animals. It will show the world that I support peta and I can clear up any false information that people may have heard about this organization. Also because it would raise vegetarian/vegan awareness and people will ask me about vegetarianism and I might be able to get them interested :)

I try to explain to people in my area as well as to the places i travel to the perks, benefits, and morale value of being a vegetarian or vegan.
passing out fliers, stickers, and pamplets can only help so much.
Showing people that not all vegetarians and vegans arr what we're sterotyped can vbe emphasized with a fashionable accessory.
i want to help spread the word.
Peta, you have helped immensely.
Let me do the rest.
:]
I would absolutely love to win this because ever since I saw the KFC cruelty video when I was around 7 years old,I announced to my parents I never wanted to eat meat ever again, and i did it secretly since they wouldn't allow it. I hate meat, I think it's disgusting and pathetic because of the lengths people go to to get the meat. It's been about 6 years and I still haven't changed my mind. I'd rather grow and entre farm (of veggies) and eat that for the rest of my life! I do speeches at school and helped my friends become healthy vegetarians, too. I hate going to school and people talk about how to cook meat, and making fun of animal abuse. I think it's horrible really, so I go up to them and tell them off, telling them about the neumorous amounts of germs and blood and other gross things you find in fast food. One week later, one of the boys came up to me and thanked me, for now he was a vegetarian too. I love animals, so so much. We wouldn't be anywhere without them.
Posted by: Polina McGuire at September 5, 2008 11:47 PMVery cute and sends out a great message. I would love to have this hoodie for a number of reasons.
1) i am vegan and im proud and i would love to tell the world.
2) people will ask about it and i could teach and explain the crule things slaughter houses do to animals and how meat is bad for not only you but the environment.
3) I am starting a movement to make our caffiteria serve vegan food for all student and a hoodie like this will show that im a serious and that i not only eat like a vegan but dress like one too.
4) so people know that the vegan/ vegetarian diets are growing, and that if they tried it they wouldnt be alone. Also so people notice that there are veg heads and the more people voicing that they are vegetarian the more options there will be for us, and less animals killed.
5) so everyone knows that i am vegan, and so they know that im serious about it and they cant make me eat meat or any animal products no matter how hard they try
The number one goal in my life is to teach my son respect to animals no matter what others think.(Even though he's only one, ha ha) Whether its deciding to refrain from eating animals or only going to people only circuses. I feel that that I would like this sweatshirt so I can show the world and my son where I stand on animal rights. Its so important for me and my family to do the right thing no matter how much backlash we get from the people who are hopped up on meat. I would wear this sweatshirt proudly everyday if possible. (except when its in the wash, lol, obviously. I'm not Dirty) anyways that about it. Thanks for reading and thank you for everything you've done for animal rights!

Posted by: Kaitlyn at September 6, 2008 12:20 AMOOH! This is the ultimate in vegan clothing coolness! I would love this hoodie and rock it with pride. I go to a school with over 2,000 students; just think of all the people who would stop and scratch their heads [and then go vegan =]
Cheerio!
I would want to wear the hoodie everywhere to promote vegetarianism and show off how awesome cruelty-free clothing can be!
Posted by: Kim at September 6, 2008 12:49 AMI go to school in a ridiculous little farm town where most locals don't even know that there exist people in the world who don't eat animals. I love to wear AR clothes and pins, especially on the bus and around town, because people ask me questions all the time, and it's a great opportunity to educated people.
I'm really excited about this new hoodie, because winter is coming up, and I still want people to notice me and ask me questions. There are still lots of people in this town whose lives I have to change, and lots of animals whose lives I'm going to save!
I want to win this hoodie because I have been looking everywhere for something like this. Whenever I where something that has a statement (like peta shirts) it lets people know that I am trying to make a difference in the world and taking a stand in what i believe in. Also it usually inspires people and encourages them to ask me questions.
Posted by: Luvena at September 6, 2008 1:05 AMit awesome I've been looking at this hoodie since it came out wondering if i would ever be able to get it now i have a a chance to. it's adorable i would love to be able to wear it all around my town just to show that I'm vegetarian, and proud of it.

If i won this sweater, i would be very thankful. I am very dedicated and proud of being a vegeratrian, and would like to show that to the public somehow. I would wear this sweater with much pride and joy, and would tell everyone who asks where i got it from. Having this sweater would help prove a statement and perhaps even grasp peoples attention. Having this sweater may even change peoples mind sets. It would be even better knowing that i helped make a difference by wearing YOUR sweater.
thank you again peta2!

It would be great to have this because I'm new to being vegan and it'd be a great way to proudly show the world what I stand for :)

It makes a positive statement in a fasionable way! I love the "peta2.com" under where it says vegitarian, because after i tell people about how i won my amazing hoodie, they know where to go to find out more about becoming a vegitarian or vegan! Plus I love that everyone would know what i'm doing to help save over 95 lives a year! I don't think I'd ever take this hoodie off! =]

If I won the new 'Vegetarian' Zip Hoodie I would wear it everyday, all day. I would do it because I want to show the world how proud me and billions of other people are to be vegans/vegetarians, and what a great way of life it is. It would be a great conversation starter, because I love educating people about how animals are treated, and how they can help put a stop to the suffering!

Posted by: Miranda at September 6, 2008 8:09 AM1) I love the hoodie from the very first time i saw it!
2) It says both "vegetarian" & "vegan". I support veganism.
Unfortunately, i'm a flexitarian, because i'm 16 years old and i live with my family, but i always wanted to be a vegetarian and I want to show it to my family.
3) I also want to wear it everywhere, espesially at my school where there are many kids there.
There are two high schools in the same area and all the kids from were i live are going there! So it would be great, because i would be able to spread the message in a very simple, yet unique, way!
I would wear this because 1. I'm proud of being a veggie and want everyone to see that, 2. It looks so comfy!, and 3. I like the looks of it.
Posted by: Carrie at September 6, 2008 8:56 AMI love the hoodie!! I would wear it all the time because it is super cute, and I'm really proud to be a vegetarian and I want the world to know!

Posted by: CEJ Veggie Club at September 6, 2008 9:32 AMHello,
I'd love to win this jacket because first of all I need a jacket, but I love the message it expresses. VEGETARIAN. Some people at school know I'm a vegetarian and I want them to know it's a wonderful lifestyle to experience and choose. I've gotten some people at lunch to try tofurkey and and Chik'n. They loved it and I want them to know that I stand by what I believe in and maybe they can become vegetarians as well. This jacket will remind me that my choice in not eating animals was right and that I'm happy with my choice. PEACE!!!
Posted by: Katie at September 6, 2008 9:33 AMI want to wear this everywhere because I want to show my small southern town that vegans exist. Plus I've almost been vegan a year and I think I deserve the bragging rights of wearing this awesome hoodies. I really want to wear this hoodie because it might also start a conversation with someone and then I could explain some of the cruelties that animals experience on a daily basis.
Posted by: Blythe at September 6, 2008 9:33 AMI'd love to waer it because it stands for something possitive!
Posted by: Denyse at September 6, 2008 9:40 AMhi!
i just wanted to say, this jacket is RAWWWW!
i would wear it everywhere. i love hoodies that are comfortable, and it also sends a message.
All my friends know im a vegetarian, and how i speak out about it all. To have this jacket, would be greatfull! To help other people to see what they have been doing to animals, and hopefully they will pick up on it. Thank you PETA!
you have officially changed my life

I think it would be really cool to get this sweater, one because i love bragging about being vegetarian, and two because it might help me win cutest vegetarian of the year :D
Posted by: Spencer at September 6, 2008 10:00 AMI would so0o rock this hoodie to the max. It's super difficult for me to always buy clothes that make a statement. I actually haven't gone clothes shopping in over two years. My mom is a single mom and she needs to worry about bills and food. I on the other hand spend my entire income, which isn't a lot since I'm 16, on my pets. I have a total of 15 pets in my house right now. All are rescues and all need constant care. I know most people would say, "It's your fault for ending up with all those animals." I know it is but I care too much about them to turn them away.
In general it would just be amazing to have something new and earthy to show off my choice to help animals.
please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please
PLEASSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
let me win the hoodie. it's the most awesomest coolest gangstaiest sweetest hoodie EVER. I would wear it everywhere, every day! rain or shine, this hoodie would be the ultimate conversation piece, show people that I support PETA, and most of all care for animals :)
I adore hoodies and this is just the one for me. Please enter me.
Posted by: Betty Shoemaker at September 6, 2008 10:18 AMI want to wear this sweater everywhere because it shows what i believe in and it helps to promote not killing animals for food because that is cruel and animals have feelings too. also it could help others to turn from the disgusting path of eating meat and motivate them to be a vegetarian so that the precious animals in this world won't go extinct because of something stupid us humans did. i ould love to win this hoodie cuz its awesome and it promotes vegetarianism (and also saying no to cruelty to animals, animal testing and eating animals)
Posted by: Davia at September 6, 2008 10:33 AMhy
thanks for that opportunity:)
i don't really want to beggint that hoddie, i just want to write down what it feels like to be Vegetarian in other countrys. I'm from Hungary (sorry for my english), it's a little country in Europe, and I think it's a country of the meateaters... Seriously sometimes I think that i'm the only one who refuse meat. Thats why i would like to win that hoddie that the days like this i could look at something and feel that i'm not the only one who chosen this lifestyle and meybe far away but there are people like me who keeps the same stuff important...
This sweater made me gasp at first sight! it's simply amazing- and honestly, first time i've liked brown clothing xD
And honestly, I love it. It would be a great way to spread the message. Also, the Peta hoodie i have at the moment says PETA2 on it; it's great, and i wear it with pride, however it sparks more debate than interest. A hoodie saying VEGETARIAN on it, on the other hand would have people ask "Oh, you're a vegetarian?" rather than "Oh.. you're into Peta...?"
Another amazing plus side of this hoodie are the two different colours, so it spells both Vegan and Vegetarian. This is great, as I'm going to be moving out within the next year, and along with that, going from vegetarian to vegan- making the transition- which this hoodie shows perfectly.
In other words, the perfect hoodie :)
and this is coming from someone who, in all cases but this, doesn't even /look at/, let alone desperately want to own, brown clothing.
Katie
Posted by: Katie at September 6, 2008 10:53 AMi would wear this everyday because people would ask if i was a vegetarian and i would happily explain why i was one.
Posted by: Christina at September 6, 2008 10:54 AMThis hoodie kicks butt! Why should anyone be afraid to hide the fact that they are a vegetarian/vegan? I know I'm not. This hoodie will show the world that I'm a proud vegetarian. It will also create an opportunity for a great conversation starter. You can tell people about why you made the decision to become a vegetarian or vegan.
Posted by: Brittany at September 6, 2008 11:03 AMI want everyone to know that I am a vegetarian so this hoodie would top off every outfit I own. I think it would be a great way to show the world a "normal" person does not believe in harming animals in any way.
Posted by: MARILOUISE at September 6, 2008 11:05 AMOh wow, this hoodie is pretty darn amazing. I really really love it. I'm proud of being a vegetarian, even though some people harass me about it. I don't miss meat at all. I've been vegetarian for almost a year now. About a year ago, alot of kids at my school started going vegetarian, and most of them have quit by now, but not me. The first time I watched High Fives and Stage Dives, I cried twice. It was so sad. And I realized how torturous people are to cute harmless animals. I don't want to be a part of that violence. I like to increase the peace and I'm very earth and animal friendly. Being a vegetarian, I believe, is a great way to increase the peace, and that's one of the reasons I am. I'm not the kind of person to shove my beliefs down people's throats, but I do try to convince others to help the animals and go vegetarian. I really love this hoodie and Peta :]

I would wear this super special awesome hoodie everywhere because it totally represents my way of life! I'm transitioning to vegan, so having this hoodie say both is awesome, like there's a vegan inside a vegetarian! Like me!
Posted by: Sarah at September 6, 2008 11:10 AMI want to be able to wear this hoodie, because I want people to notice what it says and aske me about it. I want people to ask me if I am vegan or vegetarian so that I can tell them that I am. I want to be able to explain that being vegetarion and vegan is better than being a meat eater, I want to change other's opinions
Posted by: Stephanie at September 6, 2008 11:13 AMi would love to wear this hoodie all over my school! i am the only vegetarian at my school and the school doesnt really respect that by offering vegetarian choices for lunch and stuff, so i think this would be a great way to show them they should go veg! plus id love it if someone saw it and turned veg because of me!
Posted by: Megan at September 6, 2008 11:17 AMof course if i were to recieve this sweatshirt i would wear it EVERYWHERE! i take great pride in my vegetarian lifestyle and i enjoy every opportunity to explain to anyone interested why vegetarianism is one of the best ways to live. many people in my school are vegetarian, but there are so many more who just can not comprehend why we do what we do. this sweatshirt would be a wonderful conversation starter and could help me with my overall goal: changing the world one diet at a time. =]
Posted by: Danielle at September 6, 2008 11:23 AMI would rock this fashionable AND functional sweater to make an impression upon others. I'm proud to be a vegetarian and promote the idea to my campus mates who will definitely stop me to talk about the message I represent wearing this hoodie everyday! After all, MEAT IS NOT GREEN!!! And where better to promote that message than the dedicated MEAN GREEN campus of UNT!
GO GREEN (AND MEATLESS)!!!
Posted by: Kari at September 6, 2008 11:34 AMHi I would love to have this sweater because i could show the world that i care about and love animals. Posted by: nick at September 6, 2008 11:34 AMI have loved this sweatshirt from day 1. I want it so badly! I would wear it everywhere to show everyone that I'm a vegetarian and I'm really proud of it! I want everyone to know it!
Posted by: Brittany Nichole Harding at September 6, 2008 11:40 AMI would wear this hoodie every where because I live a 100% cruelty free life. Everytime people will see me wearing this they will know how proud I am to be a vegetarian. I'm proud of who I am and by wearing this people will see how dedicated I am to my life choice. It will make people think that if I'm so happy with myself than maybe if they gave vegetarianism a chance they could be confident in who they are and the stand they are taking for animals forever.
Posted by: allie at September 6, 2008 11:43 AMOver the course of the past year or so I have been
a very hypocritical vegetarian. There were periods
of time where I found that being "vegetarian," was
not neccessary, and other times that I loved it. I
also felt that vegetarianism made me unique, and perhaps that is one of the reasons that I chose to become a "vegetarian" in the past.
I have always loved animals with my whole heart,
and the fact that there are thousands of innocent and majestic creatures being slaughtered every single day is very difficult to comprehend. I do believe that being a vegetarian does make a very big difference in your life. Here is why:
1). You live a life without cruelty induced products.
2). You will live a life knowing that you did not support innocent bloodshed.
3). You will live a much healthier life.
4). Vegetarianism provides a wide variety of colorful, very flavorful food choices.
5). You will be healthier, feel healthier, and feel much more energetic.
I would wear this sweater very proudly because I believe that vegetarianism is only one thing that we can do to better the lives of animals. This sweater is making a statement to the world, "Meat-Free is the way to be!"
Posted by: Tauri at September 6, 2008 11:43 AMI would love to wear this and have everyone ask me about being vegetarian. I would tell them why I stopped eating meat and tell them that there are many delicious recipes that I would share with them.
Posted by: Patrice at September 6, 2008 11:48 AMIve been a vegitarian for 4 years and I love this hoodie!!!! I always try to convince as many people as i can that eating meat is bad for people, animals, and the environment. I think that this if I get this hoodie, and I wear it everywhere I go, then many people will consider becoming a vegitarian!!!
Posted by: Tyler Murphy at September 6, 2008 11:49 AMI want to wear it because I am not ashamed to show that I am making a difference in the world. :)
Posted by: Sam at September 6, 2008 11:51 AMthis hoodie is absolutely ADORABLE!
omg i would love to show the world my vegetarian pride, so everyday people would ask:
what made you become vegetarian?
and i can tell them it was peta2's video of meet your meat and what it consisted of.
when i go to college im going vegan so i could still rock this amazingly cute hoodie :D
I would absolutely love to win this hoodie! I want to let the world know that I'm vegan and proud. I want people to know this so that they can ask about it and I'll be able to tell them about the cruel treatment of animals. I want to be able to let people know that it's not as hard as they think it may be. I want to be able to explain to them that humans aren't designed to eat animals and how by not eating them they'll not only be helping to prevent animal cruelty, but also just be healthier in general. I'm kind of shy. I won't just go up to a person and start talking to them. But if someone came up to me and asked be a question I'd be able to carry on a conversation for quite a while. Therefore, if someone saw me wearing the hoodie and approached me about it i'd be able to talk to them about it. I Would be so greatful to win this hoodie! :D
I'd wear it everywhere, because it leaves no room for doubt...and maybe all of my friends and relatives would stop trying to force me to eat a hamburger.......
Posted by: janeh at September 6, 2008 12:01 PMI love it! I'd wear it everywhere because it looks so comfortable!
Posted by: Heather Sebastian at September 6, 2008 12:15 PMHey there,
I think that I should be one of the winners because, I would always where it, and knowing the people im around all day they would comment on why im vegitarian or why there not a vegitarian. I would then tell then all the reasons to be vegitaran or vegan and i have done that before I know for a fact in the time i have been vegitarian I have convinced over 15 people. I think if i had more people to talk to it about (meaning the people that comment on the hoodie) I could convince more people, and isn't that the whole point of talking about it to spreed the word and get more people to understand that animals aren't so different from humans and that they have the right to live and not be touchered and in pain.
Posted by: Vanessa Vore at September 6, 2008 12:16 PMI think I deserve to win this sweatshirt because I've been a vegetarian my entire life (nearing 15 1/2 years) and there's nothing I believe in more strongly than vegetarianism. I've managed to get some of my friends to turn vegetarian as well, which I think is pretty exciting. I would wear it all the time to promote vegetarians/vegans and peta!
Thanks :D
Posted by: Shriya at September 6, 2008 12:18 PMI would love to own this hoodie because I believe that what we wear, is a reflection of who we are. Just like many, and my own choice to not consume animals for food, and not to wear animal product like fur, wool, and leather, I make a statement everyday. I love to travel, and sporting this expression of love in all the places I visit is like advertising love throughout every community I come upon. People will ask, and it is up to use vegetarians to answer honestly, and pleasantly and hopefully inspire many to make choices that do good for both animals and people. When you were a product like this one, you tell a story about yourself silently, but it also opens the doors to vocally express our stories, so people can better connect and understand, knowledge is power, so why not wear your knowledge?
Posted by: Kylee at September 6, 2008 12:30 PMfall is all about hoodies and I'd be glad to wear one that says I'm a vegetarian, cause I'm so proud of it :) animal cruelty must end.
Posted by: Regina at September 6, 2008 12:34 PMI would wear this hoodie everywhere for many of reasons.
Uno, other vegans and vegs would come up to me, and i'd make more friends that are veg- because my friends don't support what i do...so i try hard to stick to just having myself. This may cause me to have more support cause i might run into other vegs and make friends. (:
Dos, this is cute! I could catch attention at school and might cause people to check out peta- they all know im the peta girl at school. I always have stickers and pamphlets for curious minds.
Tres, people would remember the demo i had at kfc- the idea i passed there has kinda faded away...
Quatro, I get cold easily. This would be a way to warm up in class. (: WHILE making a fashion statement for animals
Cinco, my parents won't buy anything peta for me! so i can't buy this if i don't win it, they've been trying for two years to get me to eat that meat...and i won't.
and CES, because i LOVE vegetarianism!
okay, that's all
good luck to everyone

Posted by: Bryana Kolle at September 6, 2008 12:38 PMoh! my! god! I've been waiting FOREVER for you guys to offer us a vegetarian hoodie!
I REALLY wish I could win this! I'm broke so I can't buy it if it's for sale. *sigh* (I spent all of the rest of the money I had on vegan shoes) I've always wanted to have something to wear so EVERYONE that I passed would know that I'm a vegetarian. I'd wear it everywhere! even prom (okay, not really... maybe. Thoughts?)
But I really want people to be able to immediately know that I'm a vegetarian. it's such a big part of my personality and my life. Anyway when people find out they ask questions that I'm really happy to answer about being a vegetarian.
I'm the ONLY vegetarian at my school and I want to stand out as a vegetarian. Maybe it will help me find vegetarian friends who will come to protests and stuff with me.
I LOVE ANIMALS! i want to win this hoodie because i really do love these animals, i would wear this in support of what i do and what everyone else does. I would show how important it is to me to be a vegitarian. When I first seen this hoodie, I begged my parents to get it but I have to save for school! I love Peta and what they do for animals. This contest is just a way to win something so help support what they do.
I love being able to help people see why they should'nt eat meat, this would help. I think this hoodie is cute. I think that I would never take this hoodie off if I won! well I LOVE PETA! thankx for everything you guys have done!
I LOVE YOU!

Posted by: Krista! at September 6, 2008 12:42 PMI LOVE the vegeterian hoodie, I live in a small town who thrives on barbque houses, so to my knowledge I'm the only vegeterian, let alone peta member, whith in a thousand mile radius (maybe not that far). It would make my day to walk into school or up the street to the local Wal-Mart wairing that hoodie. Not only would I'd be making a statment I would be warm to! :)
luv you guys

My answer lacks poetry or originality. It does however offer simplicity and truth. I would wear this hoodie all the time because I am a proud vegie, ALL the time. (Plus it matches my eyes!)
Posted by: kirstie at September 6, 2008 12:46 PMI would be honoured to win this contest because I became a vegetarian 2 years ago and nobody in my life believed in my enough to go through with it and nobody supported me. I have always been a proud vegetarian and finally people in my life are coming around to except it and I have got them into choosing this amazing life style. So if i have the chance to win this sweater then I can promote more about vegetarians in the town that has only 5. So please help me so I can get the word out ! Thanks for everything Peta I owe you guys :) !
Posted by: Rosa at September 6, 2008 12:51 PMI would were this hoodie every where I went. Why? Well, because nothing would make me happier that people asking why I'm a vegan. I would use that opportunity to tell them the truth about the meat industry, about the horrors of leather and about what happens behind closed doors of the laboratories.
I will kindly explain to them that animals feel pain just like us. They want to live a happy life with the ones they love, no different than any human would.
That's why I would were it everywhere. Animals deserve to be heard, and wha better way to do it than using a hoddie as an excuse to spread the message.
With love
Annie
The reason why I want to wear the hoodie everywhere I go is, first, because I think this way to live deserves to be lived by everyone! We all need to go cruelty-free so far as we can, and I think that, in that way, respecting animals, we'll make us be better with our environment, including our relationships... and to spread the word, shirts and hoodys work perfectly awezome!
I would also wear this hoodie because it rocks! Is so beautiful and stylish... the perfect way to make an impression at college!
I've been a vegetarian for 5 years and a vegan for about six months. I highly identify myself as a vegan, and I love it when people ask me about veganism because this is something I really believe in! This would obviously be a great conversation starter... and plus, it is really cold in my history classroom and I don't have enough money to buy a sweatshirt!
I'll probably buy one anyway even if I don't win. This is really cool... I love how it says both vegetarian and vegan at the same time!
Meat's no treat for those you eat!

Peta's changed my life forever, im so proud to be a vegetarian and help save helpless animals who never did anything wrong, and dont deserve to be cut up and sold.
I would wear this hoodie EVERYWHERE i went, no joke. Im always wearing hoodies and sweaters, and as soon as i received an email about this new Vegetarian hoodie, i almost fell off my chair in excitement.
This hoodie would show exactly what im all about, i want people to notice it and ask about vegetarianism, or anything else like that.
Thanks much Peta :D

Posted by: Michelle. at September 6, 2008 1:50 PMWow I'm a vegan and my brother and one of my friends are vegetarian, and we could all wear this hoodie. I can see it...every day at school there's someone w/a veg*n hoodie. Maybe then people would stop thinking it's some weird obscure lifestyle nobody follows.
And me or my brother can wear it when we go snowboarding too.
VEG*N PRIDE!
I want to win this hoodie:
1 I asked for it for my birthday and didn't get it, so it'd be really sweet to win as a prize.
2 It would give me another way to promote vegan and vegetarianism.
3 It will make a stylish addition to my vegan wardrobe.
I would wear this everywhere I go if I won because it shows the world that I am a proud vegan and may inform others of a choice they never considered before. The more people are exposed to vegetarianism the more they will learn about it and maybe try out this new way of life for themselves and since I will wear it all the time more people will be informed and make the vegetarian community bigger and the world better.

omg. I have been wanting this sweater really bad. Ever since I saw it, I was like "I have to win!" I want it and I want it bad. I want it because it's totally cute, and I would wear it just about everwhere(: If I won it, I would show everyone I know how great it looks. And of course, I'd wear it with Peta2 stickers, and buttons. I think it's probably the most amazing sweatshirt/sweater ever, and it would keep me warm for fall, and winter. I'm just in love with this sweatshirt, I want it so bad.
Please pick me, I love this sweatshirt(:
Thanks for all of your hard work,

omg its so awesome i lvoe it and i really think meat is murder we should all be vegeterian i am since long ago and i lived very very happy i love animals! adn love my world so lets all go green! and again i love this
Posted by: karelly at September 6, 2008 3:12 PMFirst off, this is the cutes hoodie ever.
Since i live where it's usually cold out
i could wear this as my fall jacket everyday!
I would wear it around school,
when i go out, or even just sitting around
the house. I could even wear it to peta protests that i go to (:
As a proud vegetarian of almost ten years, I would love to wear the new peta2 vegetarian hoodie everywhere I go. Here in the inner-city, vegetarianism is basically unheard of. Whenever someone hears about my vegetarianism, they're instantly fascinated. And of course I let them know about the unsanitary and cruel conditions in slaughterhouses and factory farms, as well as the health benefits of vegetarianism. I would love to wear this hoodie everyday so I can spread the message of a vegetarian lifestyle and inform those people in the inner-city who are interested but uninformed.

Posted by: Max at September 6, 2008 4:06 PMHey,
It's weird to think how a sweatshirt cold change everything, but it seriously could. As a vegetarian, giving speeches and my opinion helps extremely. But theres only so much one person can do and I would be honored to wear this swearshirt beacuse it gets the point across without having to say one single word. I completely think more people will respond to what I have to say if I was to have the sweatshirt...and in some way they would listen better. I like sticking up for what I believe in and saving animals is a priority in my life and it always will be. If it wasn't for turning vegetarian, I don't know what kind of person I would be today. I have something to live for because I have something that I will always fight for. Thank You Peta for everything! This sweartshirt is amazing with how it says both messages and it is completely stylish. This experience has turned my life around in the most positive way ever and I want to help somehow.. I want to change the world.

Posted by: Jess at September 6, 2008 4:09 PMI would wear it to set a good example and spread the word! Im a lifelong vegan that would be honored to wear it daily!!!
Posted by: Roxanna Angles at September 6, 2008 4:11 PMThis jacket is a perfect example of how being cruelty-free can be both beneficial AND chic. A lot of young people these days have the allusion that going veg is hard and not worth it, rather than the positives that it is actually proven to be a healthy decision and all it takes is a little will power. With this jacket I could both be promoting the ideas or veganism and vegetarianism to the masses that just don't understand the benefits, and it definitely would show my pride and devotion to the cause.
Good luck to the others participating and yay for peta (:
Posted by: Ashley E at September 6, 2008 4:11 PMhey!
A vegetarian hoody would be awesome!!
why so?
Because, whenever i even mention to someone i'm a vegetarian they get interested, so what would happen if i went around showing off that i was a vegetarian by wearing a pretty rad sweatshirt? More people possibly could come up to me, and I can share my wisdom and ways and hopefully get more people to understand what vegetarianism is all about!!!!
Spread the animal love people.
Nicki
i think you should pick me to win this hoodie, because i constantly have people trying to get me to eat meat/dairy things and then going "oh... you're vegan? i had no idea" it gets annoying. i've been vegan for over two years now, and i love letting people know. i go to a fairly big school and i love spreading the message that going veg is the right thing to do! plus that hoodie would definately match my style :)
Posted by: hayley at September 6, 2008 4:20 PMHello! :)
If I had this jacket I would be able to show everyone what it is like to be a vegetarian/vegan. As soon as you tell someone you are vegetarian they immediatly ask you alsorts of other questions, like what's your diet? When they realise how easy it is they often start to wonder why they arent vegetarian or vegan themselves. If they noticed me wearing it they would probably ask me the same thing, so I could talk to them and give them a leaflet or sticker to help more people become vegetarian/vegan :) Also, I could take a picture of me wearing it and use it as my display picture on bebo so whoever went on my site would see! If I wear it I can also show everyone that I am really serious about being a vegetarian and that it's not just a phase, because my family arent always very supportive.
Posted by: Lizzie at September 6, 2008 4:22 PMthis sweater is a way of saying that im a vegitarian and im proud of it most people would just wear it just to show off iwould wear for the pride
so please choose me
Wow, this is an amazing offer you guys are doing!
I'd like to say first of all for thanks for making this site, it's really opened my eyes to the healthy and organic life people could live in, especially with Chris Walla's interview!
Three reasons I'd love to get this hoodie is:
One: Supporting Veganism and Vegetarians everywhere would be truly an honor to me
Two: As well as being a stylish sweater, it holds meaning and I'd like to inspire the people around me to join the way of life!
Three: I need change in my lifestyle, and I hope to influence my parents to be supportive of my change when I grow older. I hope to live a vegan lifestyle once I leave high school, where I can start off fresh.
Thank you guys so much :)

Posted by: Robi Brown at September 6, 2008 4:29 PMReasons ! want that hoodie
1. I need a new sweater, my old one is coming apart at the seams, literaly.
2. I am a very shy person and would like to promote AR without having to talk to strangers.
3. I can absoulutly not afford any of PETA's clothing, it costs way too much for my family to afford.
4. When I go out at 8 in the morning to start taking care of all our farm animals (alot of which are rescues)it's cold (too cold for short sleeves), but by 11 when I'm done I am roasting if I wear long sleeves so I have to go up to the house to change and it would save time if I could just take off a sweatshirt.
5. September is the only sweater weather month where I live, October we start having flurries of snow.
I would wear this jacket EVERYDAY!
This is the coolest jacket Ever!!!
I love to brag about the fact that
Im vegitarian because I want more
people to become vegitarian! This
would be a really effective way to
spread vegitarianism. Ive acctually
caused 6 people to be a vegitarian!
I love animals and people should wear
these kinds of jackets instead of fur!
Increase the peace babyy!
Dont kill Gods creatures!

Posted by: Andi at September 6, 2008 4:35 PMbecause this hoodie is an obvious attention-getter,and because I'm a friendly, approachable person, I can use it not just to display one aspect of my personality, but more importantly I can use it to spread the message that every human needs to hear; the message that animals aren't for us to use, rather we're supposed to live in harmony with each other. Hopefully by doing this I can convince many people to join our ranks as vegetarians-vegans and change the world for the better.

Posted by: Andrea at September 6, 2008 4:44 PMOMG! If i won that hoodie that would be the cherry on top of all of my hard work for trying to make people become a vegetarian! I got the booklet in the mail about the what happens to the animals & saw tons of youtube videos on it! In school, i'm informing everyone on what they're eating & how that animal got killed so they could eat it! & i'm having everyone read that booklet & signing the petition i got as well! I convinced so many people to become a vegetarian now & to join peta2, that wearing that hoodie would help me SO much more, I mean, I only made five people a vegetarian, but hey, you gotta start somewhere! I'm working on so many more people, even teachers! A lot of my teachers never knew what they did to the animals & everything else! That hoodie, ahh, for me to have that hoodie, i would treasure it forever! I would wear it every day for the rest of my life! Hot & cold days! I would do anything to help save the animals! & that will help SO MUCH! Ah, I really hope you consider me, if i win that jacket, i will thank you SO much! & I'll send you how many people DAILY turn into vegetarians because of that, i KNOW for a fact it will work! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE time a million more PLEASE's let me win! pleaseeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: KaylaMay at September 6, 2008 5:12 PMI would like to win this because it would be a great conversation starter. I am around a lot of people every day at my college, my retail job, and at local shows and concerts i attend and preform at. I think that having this hoodie, people would ask me about being vegetarian, that way they wouldn't feel like I was telling them "I'm a vegetarian" and make them feel like i'm trying to be superior to the. Their own curiosity would bring it into the conversation, which would be a great way to open up the "go veg" conversation without stepping on any toes.
i also never win anything. ever. i'm one of the unluckiest people ever. The only prizes I've ever got were ones my sister won and gave to me. So it'd be cool to win something I wanted and would use daily.

Posted by: M.A. at September 6, 2008 5:17 PMIn these fall months that are approaching it seems to get very chilly. Along with the weather changing people seem to change their eating habits to diets that consist of more meat or the usage of more leather or fur to keep them warm. What better way to retaliate the usual order of things then with a hoodie that says "Vegetarian". Wearing this hoodie will get the message out in a peaceful way that won't cause much controversy with others.
In school I seem to always be bothered by kids like to make fun of me with their usual "GO MEAT!" chants as they see me in the hallway or the photoshopping pictures of my face onto people eating meat. With this hoodie I can convince them that I will not change just because of how they treat or mock me about my way of life. I do not feel that because I am different I should have to blend in with the crowd and let people walk all over me.
This hoodie is the perfect to get the message across that I will never eat meat or wear leather or fur because unlike so many others I care about every creature that inhabits this planet.
Thank you
Anthony
Posted by: Anthony at September 6, 2008 5:19 PMBecause, I mean, let's be honest, how many clothing items can one find that actually says "VEGAN" on it, as well as Vegetarian? And, being a vegan, I've never been able to display my veganism to anyone whilst walking down the street. This would be awesome. Plus, my birthday is in October, so it would be an amazing present :D Alsooo, no-one in my school is vegan, and none of my close friends are even vegetarian, so this would be an excellent display for them :P
And, you know, I think it looks pretty kool too :)
Posted by: Genevieve at September 6, 2008 5:21 PM I would love to win this hoodie, for many reasons. I want to make a statement wherever I go, and let people know that I am proud to be a Vegetarian and Animal Rights Activist and I undoubtedly and unquestionably believe in what PETA stands for.
I live in a small town where there are alot of places around me that raise animals for food. Most People here cant seem to comprehend why I have chosen to live the life I do. I want them to ask me 'Why?', to question things, so I can help them to better learn and understand what eating Meat does, not only to the their health, but to the animals and environment. I want to share my views with everyone, not only through fliers, stickers, and leaflets but by one of the more direct and effective ways, Wearing it, for everyone to see. Impossible to miss.
Sadly, I am the only Vegetarian/Animal Rights Activist in the Average size 3A school I attend, and with the help of PETA I am hoping to change this and the views of countless people. Even though there are some people that shun my actions, I have no intention of giving up my attempts to unveil the true horrors of the meat industry to all those around me. This Hoodie would only make things a bit Easier to do so. Although, I know that whooever wins it will use it, undoubtedly for the advantage of the Animals everywhere.
Thank You for the Opportunity,
Destini
i would wear this hoodie to my work at quiznos. it would be a great way to advertise that vegetarians and vegans really are everywhere, even in a fast food restaurant where alot of meat is being sold every day.
Posted by: melody at September 6, 2008 5:29 PMI'd like to win one because it would be showing what I am and what I stand for to everyone. Posted by: Shanice at September 6, 2008 5:33 PMHey,
This sweatshirt would mean the world to me and show the world that i am loud and proud of being a vegetarian. Hopefully, by wearing the sweatshirt i will inspire people and help them realize the importance and joy of being a vegetarian. Since becoming a vegetarian four years ago, (Peta inspired me) I have become ten times healthier and even progressed in my athletic abilities. In the start of my vegetarianism the quote I've lived by is made famous by Ghandi, " My body will not be a tomb for other animals." Before being a vegetarian, I wore fur and leather not realizing the consequences for the poor animals. I was obsessed with fashion and the newest trends, even if they included wearing fur and leather. I am ashamed of the old me but now I am aware of what is does to the poor animals that are slaughtered for a stupid boot or jacket just to be fashionable for a season on the runway :[ . With this vegan -vegetarian sweatshirt, I can show my pride and know that animals everywhere are safe and people are informed of my pride and passion towards being a vegetarian. In the end, i also need a new sweatshirt, all of mine are getting kinda tight. =] During school, all of my classmates can know why i love being a vegetarian when they ask me "What's up with your awesome sweatshrit?!" I'll tell them the reason why and how Peta inspired me to do so.
So yeah there's my story and the reason I really want an amazing sweatshirt. :]
Posted by: Lindsey at September 6, 2008 5:39 PMi would love this sweater becuase it would help me show the world there are people out there that still care about things and i'm one of them. i love animals and i thinks its horrible what they do to them and maybe if people seen me wearin it they might have a change in heart and follow my example and become a vegetarian. plus its cute and styleish and i'd love to have it in my warobe.
Posted by: jenna at September 6, 2008 5:57 PMI've been a vegetarian for 5 years, and people are always telling me that they've never met a vegetarian before. But what they don't know is that these animal-cruelty free people are all around them. And we need to show that to people.
If i had this sweater i'd wear it everywhere. Just to show people that even though they think vegetarianism is a rare occurance, More and more people are being turned onto a Cruelty-Free Lifestyle, and that's important.
Wow! That Hoodie Is Amazing. I'm Commenting This Because I Would Love To Win The Hoodie. And Its Also Really Cool How You Have Vegan And Vegetarian On The Hoodie Because I'm Attempting To Go Completely Vegan.=] I Just Think It Would Be Really Cool If I Was One Of The Three Chosen People To Win This Hoodie.PETA Is Like One Of The Only Three Websites I Ever Even Get On And It HElped Me On My Journey To Becoming A Vegetarian.Seriously I LOVE All Hoodie They Are My Favorite Thing To Wear.So Once Again This Would Be An Amazing Addition To Me Veg Promoting Clothing Selection Not To Mention One More Awesome Piece Of Clothing I Would BE Able To Wear.
Hey! Good Luck To All You Other Commenters!!!
BTW Size=M
=D Hope I Have A Good Chance Of Winning
Posted by: Shelby Deneigh at September 6, 2008 6:04 PMI love this hoodie. I go to school with more that 3,000 kids I think. I would wear it everyday and when people asked me why I was a vegetarian I would explain to them why and encourage them to join me.
Posted by: Cassie at September 6, 2008 6:12 PMVegetarians taste better. But you all knew that already. ;)
Posted by: Travis at September 6, 2008 6:23 PMI would love to win this hoddie because it represents everything I believe. I never liked meat, and when I was twelve I became a vegetarian. Since then, I've never had another piece of meat and am proud to say it. When I was really little I remember asking my mom what cheese burgers were made of, and when she told me cows I was disgusted. I never looked at burgers the same way. I believe the slaughter of animals for food is so cruel and it disgusts me that they live such awful lives before dying. Imagine how you'd feel if you were cramped in a cage and then slaughtered after a short, painful life. Imagine never being able to move! I wish people would understand that animals have feelings too. They bleed and they cry just like humans. I'd wear this hoodie every single day just to show the world I care and that I want something to be done about this cruelty to animals. I love animals so much and I am sick of all of this. Plus I'd like to play a video game with a pig just to see who would win. I really hope I win this hoddie. People need to understand.

Posted by: Talia at September 6, 2008 6:23 PMI've seriously been waiting like 4 months to see this sweater on the street team goods, but i suppose this is better because you acually have to explain why you deserve to win it.
i think i deserve to win this sweater because i came to this site being a meat eater, just looking to get a few free stickers, but when i actually saw what was going on to animals around the world, i couldnt just sit back and pretend like nothing wrong was happening. so i decided to take those "few free stickers" and post them all over my school, hand out leaflets to kids walking down the halls, and doing a REAL demo in front of a kfc. ive been vegan for 7 months and i would be very proud to wear this sweater around in puplic to stir up some convo's about the benifits of being cruelty free and how easy it is to become vegitarian/vegan.

Posted by: Jennifer at September 6, 2008 6:32 PMI am a proud vegetarian, and I think it's about time that the whole world knows it. Hoodies are just about my favorite thing ever. I wear one all the time, but I know that if I won this one, I would wear it everyday. I have been a vegetarian for years, and I want everyone to know what I know, and for people to be able to ask me questions about vegetarianism. I want to spread the word about animal rights, and this is the perfect way to do it! Please please PLEASE give me this sweater! I want to help PETA!
Posted by: sara wiesner at September 6, 2008 6:36 PMThat is a really hot hoodie! I would wear it proudly everywhere to tell people that veg*an is an option, and to meet other likeminded!!! WOOOT!!!
Posted by: Eva at September 6, 2008 6:36 PMI really want this hoodie but I just can't afford it! I would wear it all the time and I would take it everywhere I go. Please pick me!
Posted by: at September 6, 2008 6:40 PMI really loved this hoodie since the first time I saw it at cafepress but I just can't afford it and my mum won't buy it me! If you picked me I would wear it everywhere I go all the time! So please pick me!!!
Posted by: Soph at September 6, 2008 6:42 PMI would absolutely love to wear this hoodie everywhere because its an obvious way to show that I appreciate our animals and am a vegetarian for the love of them. Also its a great way to change someones mind about meat, it may start a convo and expand, into possibly a mind changing experience. Even if I dont win a hoodie whoever does could speak for a lot of things with just something clothing :D
I would be honored to win this because i am a vegan in high school and saying ur vegan or vegitarian in are school means you get talked about and taunted. While actually buying food
in the cafeteria is impossible. i would gladly
wear this hoodie to spread the message it would
spread seeing that in every lunch in our school
has over 400 students. I mean even wear in my house would hopefully get my mom to consider the fact that animal slaughter is wrong. i work so i can buy my own food and snacks because my mom
doesn't believe in whole saving animals and turning vegan thing. While she supports me she isn't changing how she cooks or buying snacks that i can eat. Showing people that this is
not just a phase but it is a very health and animal safe way of life is all that i want.
hi i would love to win this hoodie it would be great to wear it to go to school so that people can see that im a vegetarian, because im proud of it.
Posted by: karla at September 6, 2008 6:59 PMWow. This is such a cute sweatshirt! I don't have any veg clothing yet. I want this one to be my first veg clothing article. :D When I first looked at it, I figured I'd just buy it because for me: it's impossible to win anything. But I looked at the price, and I just don't have the money. Or the guts to ask my parents to spend $40 on me just because. I'm a proud vegetarian, and I hope whoever gets one of these puts it to use as well as I would. I guess there's always Christmas, but that's a long wait. Heh.
Posted by: Ashley at September 6, 2008 6:59 PMhi i would love to win this hoodie it would be great to wear it to go to school so that people can see that im a vegetarian, because im proud of it.
Posted by: karla at September 6, 2008 6:59 PMi would love to win this pretty much because im proud to be vegitarian and i want EVERYONE to know this.it's changed my life tremendusly.i love to encourage people to try it and i think wearing this hoodie would strike up a conversation and give me a chance to do that. :]
Posted by: kaitie at September 6, 2008 7:02 PMI would LOVE to wear this EVERYWHERE I go because nothing gives a better message than what you wear. This would help me with spreading my message around my community, seeing as how I'm in a community where I only know one other vegetarian and one other vegan. My community has no idea how cruel the world is to animals and this would surely help me show them!
Posted by: Connie at September 6, 2008 7:10 PMI would like this hoodie because I am one of 3 vegetarians at my school. The entire school makes fun of us. I had a cooking class last year and I told the teacher that I would not cook anything with milk, eggs, meat, or any other type of animal product. She then proceeded to fail me. I didn't care though! I am in a nutrition class now and when I told the teacher I was a vegetarian she laughed at me and everybody else laughed at me too! I am awaiting for my leaflets to arrive then I am handing them out to the class, and my entire school. Maybe then they won't laugh at me. But I would like to have this hoodie so wherever I go I will be making a statement not just to my school, but to the rest of the world that I am a vegetarian and they should be too. And I'm not afraid to say it!!
So please, let me prove my point to my entire school minus 3 people, because I want to stop them from eating meat and get them to become a vegan as well!
Posted by: Amber Lear at September 6, 2008 7:38 PMi live in georgia, and everyone here LOVES meat. i've been a vegetarian for 2 and 1/2 years. i started one day when i watched one of the videos online that made me so sick i coulden't stand to eat meat anymore. my whole group of friends decided to go vegetarian, but unfortunantly, i'm the only one who stuck with it. my sister used to be vegetarian too, but she couldn't stick with it either. i've not once been tempted by meat, and i'll never go back. i've just recently went a step further and i'm trying to be vegan now, despite my mother sneaking dairy into my lunches and meals. i would be proud to wear this jacket in the south, to tell everyone that i don't eat meat and i'm PROUD!
Posted by: shannon at September 6, 2008 7:56 PMI'm proud to be vegetarian. Thanks.
Posted by: Beverley Justice at September 6, 2008 8:10 PMWinning this hoodie would be the greatest appreication ever!! Since I turned vegan I became an influence for others to look into vegetarianism because they seen at school in lunch that I stick to "my guns," however that was only thru my friends and other students seeing/hearing about my lifestyle. Winning the hoodie (wouldn't only be the coolest thinggg EVERR), but would be the best way for people to realize, because they'll see it and become curious. I don't like being labeled but to be labeled vegan is so much more, because it means so much more; shows how strong I am, for the environment, the animals, and to represent vegans worldwide.
Ovarall, matters most is the health of both, animals and humans. Whether the hoodie comes to Linden, NJ or to CORRALES, NM at least ONE person will be inspired by vegetarianism.. GOOD LUCKK EVERYBODY but hopefully I get the package lol
RMFR
oh, it's truly outrageous!
simple colours, fantastic for cooler weather, and an amazing way to declare to the world "I don't eat animals and I am proud!"
I wear sweaters frequently, and this would be an amazing addition to my animal-friendly wardrobe. I want to be as motivational as possible, and this will only help emphasize the importance.
If I could be lucky enough to win this, I'd flaunt it just about every moment possible, including in my sleep :D
I Would LOOOVE to wear this jacket because here in hawaii we dont have many vegetarians and vegans and maybe if i wore this around everywhere people would change their minds! Ive Been A Vegetarian Since December 3rd, 2007 and ive been slowly going vegan. I Dont Drink Milk, Or Eat Eggs but i do eat dairy products. It Would Be Awesome To Have This Jacket!
xoxo-Rayna♥
i would wear it every where because a lot of people at my school think that i'm an idiot for being vegetarian, and i want to prove to them they are wrong.
Posted by: at September 6, 2008 8:39 PMAhaha, yes!! This is the perfect hoodie. I can just picture myself marching down the overcrowded school halls shouting, "La dee da, look at me in my totally superly awesome sweatshirt that I would let you wear if only you were all vegetarians..."
I've been abstaining from involving any and every form of animal products from my lifestyle for nearly 2 years now. (Thanks to Meet Your Meat...that video obliterated all of my preconceived notions about my oblivious omnivorous diet...) Becoming a vegan has been the most intense, life-altering, I-can't-believe-how-amazing-I-feel transition I have ever experienced. I've lost nearly 20 pounds, and have become a total health fanatic and dedicated animal rights activist.
This new hoodie of yours is so versatile and simple, and think of all the conversations you could start and all the animals you could save with one simple word! I would wear this sweatshirt with immense pride.
Plus I could use a new something to cuddle up in while being cruelty-free!
~Peace to everyone and everything~

Posted by: Jordan at September 6, 2008 9:13 PMI would definetly rock this hoodie. anywhere and everywhere. i would wear it to bed :) i have been a vegetarian for a while now, regardless of all the problems my family gave me about it. I'd wear it proud.
Posted by: Rae at September 6, 2008 9:21 PMThis "Vegetarian" Hoodie is way more better than wearing a "fur" coat.It has more STATEMENT than anybody else or wearing a "fur".
I'm now being a Vegetarian and having this "Vegetarian" Hoodie is one way of patronizing my stand that I am anti-cruelty to animals.
This hoodie speaks for life.Saving and making an advocacy.
In modern days.Fashion is in.
But we don't need lives to be in fashion.Just keep it simple. If I,wearing a "Vegetarian" Hoodie, invites my fellow Filipinos as well as other people that Vegetarian is a one step to make a difference.
Thus,I want this "Vegetarian" Hoodie So BAD!
Posted by: Michael at September 6, 2008 9:22 PMI would want to wear this everywhere I go because it is super cute, love chocolate brown, and because I am proud to be a vegetarian and hopefully the hoodie would inspire conversations with others so I could tell them all the benefits of not killing animals and not eating their flesh.
Posted by: Becca at September 6, 2008 9:27 PMI want to wear this everywhere I go because I am proud to be who I am, and just as proud to show it.
Posted by: Crystal at September 6, 2008 9:43 PMI would luuurve to win the sweater because i am a vegetarian and competely veggie sexual. No, I don't mean I do carrots. I mean I will not ever date anyone who eats meat. I couldn't take it. Like if someone has tuna breath? No thanks. Tuurrrn off plus Death Alert, people.
Now I come to my second point: The sweater is absolutely gorgeous. Gooorgeous. I loveity love love the colour scheme and the lettering and the clever word bending and and and and and...I love it. It shall be glued to my skin. Forever and ever.
Anyhoo, thanks for listening to my spiel. Good luck to the other contestants, and I'm crossing my fingers.
PETA rocks my world so much I fall out of it a little.
Fanks super much for existing.
Posted by: Sheilah McEwen at September 6, 2008 9:47 PMI would wear this everywhere I go because I'd be able to tell everyone the one word that describes me most, before actually talking to them.
Posted by: Crystal at September 6, 2008 9:54 PMwell the reason i would want dat awesome vegetarian hoodie would be b/c i have just celebrated my 1 YEAR of bein a vegetarian and i have lost over 50lbs and i just LOVE LOVE LOVE animals and the ppl at peta2... i really hope i win and if i do i will wear it to school and show off dat i am a vegetarian and hopfully be able to help some ppl change their eating habbits and become one to!!!
Thanks peta2 and all the other vegans and vegetarians!!
GOOD LUCK PPL!!

=D
I would love to win this hoodie for many reasons:
1.It says vegan and vegetarian . . . im a vegetarian (going vegan) and i love wearing stuff that repesents who i am
2. Wearing this hoodie would be a great conversation starter about vegetarian/veganism because i know in school i would get stopped and asked about it ( i love talking to people about my ideals)
3. I'm a poor college student and clothes that look awesome, make a statement, and are free are always amazing!
4. It gets cold in NYC during the winter and i don't own a coat or sweatshirt (again poor college student)
5. I would wear it with pride! [It would be awesome to demo in which (whether or not i win the hoodie) i will be doing sometime soon on campus]
Posted by: Jessica DeMorris at September 6, 2008 10:25 PMI would love to have this hoodie. One of the many reasons being I am the ONLY vegan at my school. And it would help me spread the word of how killing animals is wrong. They would ask "Why are you wearing that?" My reply would go into how they slaughter animals in an ungodly way. And I would be very descriptive. And I would finally have a hoodie that represents my life style. I have an AFI one now (you know how Davey Havok is vegan and all.) and I love it but I love this. It would totally rock too, because it is
[]D [] []\/[] []D []\[]
i would wear this hoodie EVERYWHERE!!! It's so awesome! I could show everyone that i'm vegetarian without even saying anything lol
Posted by: keestin at September 6, 2008 11:07 PMAnimals have feelings too, and almost noone at my school understands that! Some of the other vegetarians are made fun of because kids think its a "stupid" cause to fight for.
i would like to show that peta is a strong organization and to show my support.
i would wear it alot to make people think twice before they order lunch because in my heart i know that if i could change just one person to vegan or vegetarian, i would have made a difference. And maybe somone will be inspired by that person and i could start a chain reaction like the peta video said :]
Posted by: emexo at September 6, 2008 11:13 PMIf I won this hoody I would be honored to wear it every where I go to show the world that I'm a proud Vegan. I would wear it to photo shoots, school, around the house, at concerts, when I sleep, and anywhere I go. I wantto start a trend , the more vegan's and vegetarians, the more animals lives get saved, and the more animals get to keep their skin.
Posted by: steph at September 6, 2008 11:24 PMI have recently become vegan and I would love to wear this cute hoodie to show the world something important that I believe in. -Carrisa Grace
Posted by: Carrisa Stuckey at September 6, 2008 11:39 PMI want this sweater because I would look best in it. Nah, Hahah. It's a totally ballin' sweater. And it's hella cute. I really want it. So I should get it. :)
Posted by: Kaitlin at September 6, 2008 11:39 PMWhen I saw this hoodie I nearly freaked out. I LOVE it. It looks so comfortable! And my school is always so cold that I'm always wearing some kind of jacket.
See, I have been a vegetarian for about four months now and I haven't told anybody. My friends included. I keep trying to make my self tell somebody but I can't. It's not like I'm ashamed or anything, it's more like I don't know how to bring it up into the conversation. Do I just blurt out one day, "By the way guys I'm vegetarian"? You could say I'm self-conscience. I would just love for one day to wear this hoodie to school! Talk about a conversation starter!
Posted by: Kelsey at September 6, 2008 11:49 PMI would simply look best in this lovely hoodie.
Haha. Nah. I am totally just joshing, you guys. :)
But in all seriousness, I want something to show
people that I am a vegetarian, and that I support peta.
I would never ever take it off.
Not only is it fashionable, but it looks warm.
Thanks lots.
i would love to wear the sweatshirt because i am in a huge university. I have not met many vegetarians/vegans here and would love to spread thoughts to get people thinking. I love hoodie sweatshirts and would wear it every opportunity i could.
Posted by: Sarah Kenney at September 7, 2008 12:02 AMI would absolutley love to win this hoodie, so I could show everyone how proud I am to be once a vegitarian, and now a vegan! And to show my support to my veg/vegan friends and anyone else who is or going to be.
Thanks.
Posted by: marina at September 7, 2008 12:12 AMso...I want to wear this hoodie because I would rock it often and proudly, simultaneously showing the world that I do not consume, nor support the consumption of animal products. I am especially outraged by the mistreatment of animals want to spread the word in any way possible that this cruelty can not continue. When I first heard of PETA and watched one of your DVDs, I cried through the whole thing. Everyone should watch one and cry and never eat meat or by animal products every again.
Best,
Al
i want to win this because:
1. i want everyone to see the number one cause i support and donate to!!!
2. i like to wear things like 'vegetarian' or 'send texts not troops' etc that show my opinion so when people comment or ask about it, i can educate them on my point of view!
3. im proud to be a vegetarian!
4. i love hoodies, i love supporting a good cause, and i love to get people 'in-the-know'
5. i want to represent PETA and vegetarians all over the world!
oh my, why do i want this?
i want to wear my vegetarian pride everywhere i go!
talk about standing out.
i can probably count all the vegetarians & vegans in my school on one hand.
id walk down my super crowded halls with some serious pride wearing this hoodie.
plus its senior year, lets end it originally.
:]
I would love to win this sweatshirt because I have been a vegetarian for 4+ years and a vegan for about 1.5. I want people to know I am vegan. Not because its cool, or what all of the bands are doing, because if people see me wear it they will hopefully think more of vegetarians. I am a smart person and I havent been sick since I became vegan.
For some reason people in my town think vegetarians are all creepy animal obsessed freaks, i have no idea why. It makes me sad that people think that way, so i want to try and change their views and show them how great a vegetarian can look.
When i first set my eyes on this hoodie i was like
gahhh its a must have ^_^_^_^_^_^_^
i want it so bad
i adore hoodies
i adore peta2
and everything there about
i am a Vegetarian
and sure as hell proud of it
Ever since i went Veggie
It has changed my life
i feel more alive
i feel more healthy
More Energized.
i would have to say it was the best
thing i ever did
because it has improved my life.
i wanna let the world know
i wanna inform more people about peta2
because its a hoodie people
would wanna take the time,
turn to me,
and ask me the question
"whats that about?"
I'll just simply smile
and tell the stories, The truth.
:)
Posted by: Kayla at September 7, 2008 1:13 AMi want to wear this hoodie everywhere because i LOVE BEING A VEGETARIAN!
my mom has tried forcing me back to eating meat, but i refuse. i post graphic blogs on my myspace to get people to understand. my best friend went vegetarian after just watching the peta video, "chew on this". she broke down in tears and then read what i wrote and cried even MORE. i'm planning a protest against the pet store at the mall because they get their puppies from puppy mills, and that's one of my big focuses right now is getting a bill passed against puppy mills.
i would wear that sweatshirt WITH PRIDE EVERY DAY. i am PROUD to be saving animals before their life expectancies fall down to 4 MONTHS.
that's about all the time farm animals get anyway before they get slaughtered.
I LOVE PETA and I would defend peta in an instant if anyone tried to tell me i'm wrong!
thank you for everything you've provided me with to help spread the word about animal cruelty! i love you peta!

Posted by: gabrielle at September 7, 2008 1:27 AMi need this hoodie cuz my vegan hoodie i got a few years ago is way to small now
Posted by: jennifer at September 7, 2008 2:07 AMI want this sweater because since I go to a small school. If I wore it alot. EVERYONE would be aware about Peta and vegetarianism. And I'm always around town so lots of people would see it to get the word out. I'm so proud of myself that I'm a vegetarian. AND I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW. So I'd wear it everyday. To get the word out the cruelty free clothes is fasionable. And I'd also like to win it because when people would ask about it . I'd take the time and explain to them about peta2. and factory farm cruelty and what they can do to help.
Posted by: Melissa at September 7, 2008 3:19 AMThis Hoodie is fantasitc! I love to color combonation and how it says both vegitarian and vegan ( took me a minuet to see that). If I had this hoodie, I would wear it often, not only to be proud to display the fact I have given up meat and animal products, but maybe to even make just one person stop and think for even a second about their own choices. It's a stretch, but hopefully whomever wins this can change one person's mind about animal cruelty just for human consumption :).
Posted by: Sierra Brumit at September 7, 2008 3:35 AMI love this sweater. I have been a vegetarian for a little over a year and want to let people know my story. It also helps that its super cute =D
Posted by: Cayenne Drummond at September 7, 2008 4:05 AMi want to win this awesome hoodie so i could wear it absolutly everywhere.i want to wear this hoodie everywhere because as a vegetarian it is hard living a life with meat eaters everywhere i dont often get the chance to let people know i am vegetarian and very proud. the only way people will know is if i tell them, but why individualy tell people when i can where it loud and proud.i want people to know that vegetarians and vegans have the right to speech and show what they are passionate about.i would even wear this hoodie at school even though i will get in trouble i want to tell people what i believe in.please please please pick me to win one of these hoodies, i will do vegetarians and vegans proud!!!!
Our school does these barbecues, and it's like, $1.00 and all you can eat dead carcass. I guess they have to make it cheap, because who really wants to eat slaughtered animal? I'd totally wear it there. I'd wear it in P.E during the winter, because sometimes we go outside and it's quite chilly. I also just take massive amounts of pride in being veg*n, so there's no reason NOT to want to wear it!
Posted by: Katie at September 7, 2008 5:57 AMIf I won the sweatshirt, I would not just proudly wear it all the time, I would also tell people why I wear it! Not many people in my circle understand why I do it and especially not my family, but I don't care... Because I can't live the conscience of all the lives brutally murdered just for a meal!
It is really hard to get clothes here in Denmark with vegy prints on them, unless you make them yourself, and that is to bad, because I think more people should ask themself if they could do it. Just think for a second before they take that bite of the hamburger... is it really worth it?
I'd love to sport this hoodie during my last year of highschool because this year I've noticed many of the younger grades tend to eye me and talk about me because apparently I'm eccentric as it is.
With this on, I think I'd be able to start up some interesting conversations and maybe even stur up some awareness on the animal rights issues that I am passionate about.
I turned vegan in February and recently people have been asking me so many questions about my lifestyle changes. This sweatshirt will help me walk around school ( and not to mention college which is coming up within the year!) and feel proud about being in an organization that is striving to help animals. It'll let everyone know that I'm not afraid to express myself for who I am.
I am a proud vegan devoted to the life of animals all around the world.
I considered being a vegetarian for a long time but was never pushed to do so until I watched Meet Your Meat and other peta videos. Now I want Everyone out there to know of my decision, why I made it, and try to convince them to make better decisions.
Posted by: Antonio Doukas at September 7, 2008 7:05 AMi will never go out without hoodie.I m proufd to be vegan.go vegan
Posted by: Miroslav at September 7, 2008 7:30 AMI want to wear this everywhere I do because I want to look cool.
Posted by: Judith Rachmani at September 7, 2008 8:07 AMIt would be nice to have this hoodie, but the real issue is helping animals.By having this hoodie I can show people that I don't eat meat and I'm trying to save animals.

I have been a vegetarian for almost a year, and i am planning on becoming vegan. I have shown the video to 3 of my friends, and one of them actually became a vegetarian. I have given the flyers and petitions to my health teacher and science teacher. I have one that was sent around my school and got all of the boxes, and a whole lined paper front and back signed. I am meaning to send it in, but i dont have any stamps, but i will as soon as i can. Becoming a vegetarian was one of the few good decisions that i have made. Thank you for showing me, and a lot of other people about the cruelty that eating meat is, because of you, I am able to spread the news of this cruelty to many.
~Jordan Sheridan
I become Vegetarian,
because I didn't want support the cruelty farm
I loved that hoodie
because it says I'm animal friendly
I want to show people
that world could be better
I want them to think about
when I am going with the hoodie out
So, thats my poem about this hoodie and my ideas about it. Hope you will like it a little
yours Barbucha
I've always been a vegetarian, so never really appreciated the strength of my family's decision until recently after exploring PETA and other pro-vegetarian sites. The sheer cruelty shown in these videos was HORRIFIC. I immediately wrote to KFC about their animal cruelty and told a lot of my friends, succeeding in converting some to vegetarianism-- or at least eating less meat.
Oh, and I think the hoodie is pretty amazing, too. ;)
Posted by: Mishti at September 7, 2008 9:16 AMI want this hoodie because I have the "Meat Sucks" tshirt made by Oli Sykes and I think this hoodie will go perfectly with it.
Im going to russia soon and im not sure how many people are vegetarians over there so Id love to proudly display my vegetarian clothing!!
I am so into vegetarianism that I wrote a song about it for my GCSE music composition :D
Im a diabetic and I like to show other diabetics that they can still happily be a vegetarian
Therefore, I would wear this hoodie to hospital everytime I went too!
Oh and my rabbit would eat this hoodie, its so sexy
Posted by: Hannah at September 7, 2008 9:25 AMI deserve this hoodie because i'll rock it out to the best of my ability, and wear it with pride like no other.
peace. x
Posted by: at September 7, 2008 9:31 AMHi,
My first reason I think I should win this hoodie becuase I'm a proud vegetarian turning torward veganism.
My secod reason is I plan to start an animal rights group at my school and what other way would be best to have people know who created the group and who care the most then to have this vegetarian/vegan sweatshirt.
My last reason is that I have a very big school (1500 students) and if I wear that sweater then maybe people would ask me why I'm vegetarian and I could talk to them about animal rights and vegetarian/veganism.

Posted by: Brianna at September 7, 2008 9:41 AMI would love this hoodie. I was just showing my parents it the other day and saying how much I LOVED it. I would take pride in wearing it everywhere I go, especially since winter is coming. It would represent that I am a vegetarian and give me a chance to show that I have a compassion and love for animals. It would help the topic of vegetarianism become popular in a town where almost everyone is a proud meat eater. I could voice my opinion and show them that i am a proud non-meat eater. I would be honored to wear this sweatshirt to represent vegans, vegetarians and PETA.
Posted by: Gina at September 7, 2008 9:55 AMIt's very simple and short. I would wear it, because I'm proud to be a Vegetarian. And I think that everyone should have the chance to see me in it and my statements!

hey(: i would LOVE to win this sweatshirt. i think it's soo cute. i'm a vegetarian, and i have been for about two years now. a lot of people in my school know i am, and some question me about it. it would be great to walk around school wearing, and hopefully people will talk to me about it, or maybe try and go vegetarian themselves. just to wear around town would be amazing, because it sends out a message AND it's really cute, haha. plus, i love hoodies. i wear them constantly.
size- M or L.
whichever you have.
I have been a proud vegetarian my ENTIRE life, and have educated many of my friends about the benefits of being a vegetarian, and the consequences of being an omnivore. Almost all of them have changed their lifestyles. If I were to wear this awesome sweatshirt I would be able to happily inform an even larger amount of people who could become more aware of the consequences of their actions.
Thanks!
This hoodie is one of the few animal rights shirts i like because it doesn't spread the message in an obnoxious way. A lot of shirts out there make me feel like i am getting more dirty looks than spreading the message in a good way. This hoodie shows that being a vegetarian is a great lifestyle and i'm sure that when i wear this, more people will be apt to check out cruelty free habits. I would love to win this hoodie because i don't have a lot of extra spending cash right now as i am trying to save for college. it would be great to win this and i would feel great about spreading a positive message that people would actually take interest in.
Posted by: Grace at September 7, 2008 10:43 AMI would love to win this sweatshirt! I would wear it everywhere I go. People in my school will see the sweatshirt and they just might become a vegetarian as well. I know this is sad, but there are only 4 vegetarians in my whole school, which has 1,400 people in it. I will do anything for this sweatshirt. And I have already done so much. Please let me win!
Posted by: Julia at September 7, 2008 10:50 AMThe first time I saw this hoodie I knew that I would do anything to get it! I would wear it everywhere I went and I would tell many people about going vegetarian. I don't have a sweatshirt that I love but I would be so grateful and happy like the animals you rescue. I have been a vegetarian for 9 months and two weeks ago I became a vegan.I don't have one piece of clothing that advocates animal rights but I would wear it everywhere I went.
Thanks,
Dakotah
I would like to have this to wear it around and when people ask about it be able to actually tell them how eating meat is hurt ful and its crul and how those animals didnt deserve to be treated the way they are just for you're crispy chicken sandwhich and like us they have feelings and emotions and want to be loved and cared for in the right way just like we do and by eating that burger you're saying animal crulity is right and okay and you're supporting the fad that is so commonly forgotten.
I always seem to get dirty looks of somekind when people find out that im a vegetarian, they always ask why it matters and to there surprise ill start to rant about it, everytime someone asks, or says im stupid for being a veggie, it makes me want to make a difference that much more. If i wore the hoodie people would read it, some people may even look into it. I am a convincing person when it comes to these things, and people will read and ask and i will talk.
I would love the hoodie, Thank You
Shelby.
I'm proud to be a vegetarian and not afraid to show it.
Posted by: Maxine at September 7, 2008 11:34 AMI would really like to win this sweatshirt because I want other people to see that I am a vegetarian. I want to inspire people to stop eating meat because it's the worst thing to do. I would wear it to school so everyone could see it. I know this is sad, but there are only 4 vegetarians in my whole school of 1,400 students. I hope to inspire the other 1,396 people to become a vegetarian. I am in the Enviornmental Club at school, and I know that if they see my sweatshirt, they could consider of becoming a vegetarian. I would greatly appreciate if I could win one because I know that we can change the world. And even though my whole family are meat eaters, I really hope that I can get them to become a vegetarian when they see my new sweatshirt. Please consider sending me a sweatshirt. I know that it could make a difference in my small town!

Posted by: angelena at September 7, 2008 11:44 AMI would die for that hoodie,Im a vegan at 11 years old and most people call me crazy and stupid for doing that but i tell them id rather be crazy and stupid than kill innocent animals for my pleasure.I would never take it off i would sleep with it,eat with,go to school in it,And Excersize.Just to name a few.And people i dont know can know im not a selfish Animal eating monster like them. And maybe other vegans my age can notice im a vegan and maybe talk,Its tough to live with no other vegan or vegitarian i know.By wearing it i will show my pride.Thanks.
Posted by: Dawn at September 7, 2008 12:00 PMI have been wating SO long for a vegetarian peta hoodie! I love the naturalistic brown and green, both sylish and environmentally cool. I would wear it 24/7. If people strike up a conversation about my hoodie, I'd tell them all about vegetarianism and how they should try it!
Posted by: Jamie at September 7, 2008 12:01 PMi would love to win this veggie hoodie, because it would let everyone know that im vegetarian and when im a complete vegan it will also let them know that. i love it becaue its stylish and would look good with all my other clothes.
Posted by: brittany at September 7, 2008 12:02 PMHey! I LOVE this sweatshirt!
I've been looking for a long time trying to find something that can show off my veganism (yes I'm working towards 25000 peta points for the vegan sweatshirt :] )
I just want people to realize how they can save the world, even if it's just a little, by wearing cruelty-free, non-fur, and eating vegan. They can see how easy it is to do these thing, and how the littlest things can have the BIGGEST impact on in world.
I promise I would wear this EVERY day until it is incapable of wearing anymore!
Sincerely, Chantz
Posted by: Chantz at September 7, 2008 12:07 PMI would wear this hoodie everyday, because i am a proud vegetarian.I love all animals, and i don't see how anyone could hurt them in any possible way, shape,or form. I would wear this because i stand for what i believe in and i am not afraid of what people will say about me wearing it. I live in a very small "hicktown" in georgia, and i am one of the only two vegetarians in this town.I would waer this hoodie everyday because it would be a good topic starter with all of the meat eaters in my town, and i could get them tuned into vegetarianism. If i won this hoodie,i would never take it off, well,i would to wash it,but i would porudly wear it everywhere i go,everyday.

Posted by: Katie Hugill at September 7, 2008 12:51 PMi live in "the hood" i recently became a vegetarian and i have noticed that over here in the hood nobody gives a darn about anmals or annimal rights i want to be able to wear this hoodie and sprread the word that being a vegetarian is both good for you and the animals who knows? maybe someone who see's me with it will too become a fellow vegetarian so please help me spread the word down here in south florida :)
Posted by: joannelys at September 7, 2008 12:52 PMthis hoodie is awesome, there are very few people who are vegetarian in my area (that i know of) and the people who are, are friends of mine. this hoodie is really cool and will make people stop and think for a second about being a vegetarian or vegan and it shows im proud of being a vegetarian.
Posted by: alaa at September 7, 2008 12:53 PMWell im trying DESPERATELY to go vegetarian and then hopefully vegan. I feel as though this hoodie would help remind me to stay on track to reach my final goal of going vegan. So far ive been 6 weeks clean of no meat. Also, Its a totally awesome hoodie! Since a lot of people at my school are vegetarian, they would be totally jealous to see me with this hoodie!
Going vegetarian for me is hard considering as a child I had no guilt or shame whatsoever and i ate everything that was edible, nowadays my past is catching up with me so I try to avoid going to places I know will tempt me to eat meat. Like outback steak house, and applebees. If you can help me in anyway to stay on my goal please contact me at angel2005399@gmail.com. I need everyone's support!!
Posted by: Ashley Manning at September 7, 2008 1:00 PMI would rock this hoodie because i just repaired 7 holes in my very old one. I love the VEGAN one available from the street team, but I'm not full vegan. I am completely veggie though, so the part vegan part vegetarian thing is perfect! I like that. Yum.
Posted by: Jessica at September 7, 2008 1:03 PMThat is one SA-WEET hoodie!
I would most defenatly wear this hoodie EVERYWHERE I go. Why? Because I'm a proud vegetarian of course!
It's been 1 year, 3 months, and 3 days since I last ate a poor little animal, and if I won this awesome hoodie, I would not only WEAR IT, I would SHARE IT! I would be sharing my knowledge, passion, and comitment to being vegetarian with everyone that sees me.
I want to wear this hoodie everywhere I go because it will help me spread the word about how much the meat industry is polluting our planet, and as the Energy and Environment chair of my High School's Student Council, this hoodie would help me make a statement to not only the Students, but to the Faculty and Staff as well!
Everytime the Wendy's 'Baconator' commercial comes on the t.v., my 8 year old brother tells me that they are telling me to eat meat. If I won this hoodie, I could tell him that Peta is telling him to become vegetarian!
I would greatly appreciate winning this hoodie, and I promise you that it would get it's use from being worn 24/7 and heping me spread the news about how rewarding being a vegetarian is.
why would i wear this hoodie every day and everywhere?? well why not!?! im a passionate veggie and i am ALWAYS cold and i dont have any really cute hoodies so i just borrow my friends, but i think they are starting to get mad at me, lol but anyway, i would love to win because first and foremost i wanna get the word out there and let people know all about the animal cruelty towards the meat they eat. i wanna help people get the eat out of meat. i would never take this hoodie off!
=]stella
oooo i like this hoody...i want it! gimme gimme gimme gimme!
Posted by: lavetta carter at September 7, 2008 1:15 PMThis is going to be a very cliched answer, because everyone else is writing the exact same thing; but I can't help that. I want to win this hoodie because I want people to know I am vegetarian. I really like the hoodie, how it looks and what it says. I have only been a vegetarian for a little more than a year now, but I'm only getting better at avoiding eating corpses; so the actual time doesn't matter to me. I hate how my parents always explain to people that I eat what I eat because of my vegetarian-isticness, so this way all people have to do is look at my fashionable wardrobe. Haha.
Plus, this will become one of my favorite hoodies everrr if I could win it. And I'll love you guys for ever and advertise you constantly... Just saying.
And my parents don't like spending a lot of money on my jackets, so I probably wouldn't be able to actually buy it. They like wasting their money on their cigarette fixes instead. Ew. Butttttt. Yes. I really hope you'd consider me to win this; since I never can win anything and my contest-entering-esteem is very low.
..That's like 2 phrases I've invented now. How can you not love my charming creativeness? I think this girl deserves a free peta2 hoodie. But that's just my opinion. Heh
(:
Posted by: Meghannn at September 7, 2008 1:45 PMhey, this is really awesome
i love it.... i would want to wear it everywhere because lots of people would see it, and i'd be proud to wear it =] hopefully it would help reach out to some people, and i LOVE hoodies, so this would be awesome. i already do my best to get the point of this across to people, and represent you guys =] even if i didnt win one of these, i would definately get one once i can
awesome!
they should have a vegan one.
i have recently become a vegetarian..
and when i went veg, i took five other people with me!!
my goal now is to continue to spread the word about animal cruelty..and to become veg!
i think the sweater will help, as i DO wear a sweater everyday to school, and that way everyone will know that im a vegetarian!
who knows..maybe they'll ask why im one..and i can change their way of thinking too!
=]
ooh.....That looks so delightful.
If I had one, I'd wear it everywhere I could, to show how proud I am not to eat meat.
And hopefully, I'd get others attention to that matter.
: )
omg!!!!!
i would love to ahve this hoodie it so cute and vegan!!!
im a vegan and i love when people ask me why because then i can express myself and tell them why. and if i win this hoodie then that means more questions and more answers.!!!...
Im a cold person. Im always frezzing everywhere, even in the summertime. Id wear it non stop all the time. To work, school, home, out to eat, just kicking around. Itd do two of my favrit things keep me warm and spread the word about being vegetarian.
Posted by: Beth Rothschild at September 7, 2008 2:09 PMI AM IN LOVE WITH THIS SWEATSHIRT!!!
I love how the brown, green, and white all match! This sweatshirt is just simply stunning to me, and I could work it! :] Plus, nobody else in my school has this sweatshirt and what better way to get noticed than to wear a sweatshirt that symbolizes yourself, what you believe in, and tells others that you won't tollerate animal cruelty and that they should do the same! I honestly think that this is the coolest sweatshirt ever, and I would be proud to wear it everyday, everywhere, and even no matter how dirty! IF I DON'T WIN THIS SWEATSHIRT I WOULD LOVE IF IT COULD BE PUT UP AS A STREET-TEAM GOOD!!!
-Kaylee
I would loooooove to win this hoodie because I would wear it absolutely everywhere! To the store, to school, to sleep, in the bath, in the car, at the mall, EVERYWHERE! I would show everyone that I'm proud to be saving animals and not slaughtering them for my tastebuds. I'd show them that vegetarianism ISN'T just for crazy hippy activists, but for normal teenagers too! I'd prove to the world that vegetarianism is popular in our current society, and the right thing to do, for animals, and for the environment.
Posted by: heather at September 7, 2008 2:21 PMI would be honored to sport the VEGetAriaN hoodie. I wear my PETA and cruelty free t shirts as much as possible, but need something when it's chilly outside to show the world that I made a difference in the world by saving over 1,000 animals since I have been vegetarian.
Posted by: Ashley at September 7, 2008 2:24 PMI would basically live in it, not only does it look warm and toasty for the winter!
i would wear it everywhere!
Why not show people what i am and believe in?
I would get told of at school for wearing it but its showing my beliefs right? I would refuse to take it off though!
Another reason why i would want this is cause its cool! :D
I hope you pick me, cause then i can finally express what i think to people!
Thanks ChristyX
I just started school and it gets really cold around here. I love spreading the word about vegitarianism but my clothing gets covered by my jackets. So this sweatshirt would be a great addition to my ever going quest to stop meat eaters from killing for food. Also i am in love with the sweatshirt. i think the vegan/vegitarian is a great idea and a clever way to advertise both. Also i feel like people don't always notice what i'm eating/not eating but they definately read my clothing
Posted by: Lauren Karpoich at September 7, 2008 2:27 PMMost people that i know, know that I am a vegetarian, and most of them strongly support me in that decision. I have been a vegetarian for almost two years now, and I plan on being one for much, much longer. The only reason why I am not a vegan, is mainly because my parents do not like the idea of it, because they think it will make me sick. But the only thing that really makes me sick, is how animals are treated daily. I don't think an animal should have to suffer through a brutal slaughtering, just so a few people can have a snack. When I watch animal cruelty videos, it brings tears to my eyes, to see how the human race belittles some of the most beautiful creatures alive. In Canada, my home country, cats and dogs are seen as pets, but in some other countries, they are used as food. The average Canadian would most likely think that whoever would eat a dog or cat is just sick, but the truth is, they eat cows...so think of how the people in India must see them as. I don't believe either side is wrong or right in which animals they choose to treat with grace and respect. I just believe that all animals should be treated equally well, and that mankind should be greatful to be blessed with such beautiful creatures. I want everyone around me, stranger or not, to know what I stand for....I am a vegetarian.
Posted by: Chelsea at September 7, 2008 2:28 PMThe reason i would love to wear this sweater is because my parents refuse to pay for a peta2 shirt, they eat meat and im the only one in my family who doesnt, also out of my friends im the only one so i want to wear the sweater as a statement that "Im here i wont eat an animale/ mother/ brother/ sister of another animale, so get used to it :)" and i hope that wearing it people might actually think "hmm maybe theres something more to this" I've been a vegitarian for almost 6 months now and im 13 i think that its important to get this message out and i'd love to be one of the three lucky people that get a chance to do it throught this sweater :)
Posted by: Shannon at September 7, 2008 2:34 PMI would wear that hoodie every day!!
People think I'm joking when I say I'm a vegan. Even the school staff laugh when I come up with proposals on vegan items in the cafeteria( i succeeded)and vegan cleaning products. I want to show them how easy and fashionable is can be ☺
I want the world to know I am a vegan.
I love Peta!!
HEYY!
This hoodie is AMAZING! Okay so I love hoodies with a passion, Just like I love animals with a passion. Im vegetarian AND VERY PROUD! I even got my mom to be a veg head...AMAZING RIGHT?!!?! Me and her are both shooting for vegan, But it does get tuff so we cut down to just cheese! Ive been veg for only four months And I love it. I have felt soo much better, Not to mention all of the tastey VEGHEAD food I was missing out on!
I really would like to win this hoodie, Just because I want to show people im proud and maybe they will think twice about eating meat! OH yeah, And Not to mention the pluses, A WONDERFUL LOOKING BODY! And you can love animals at the same time. I dont think I would take this hoodie off. Well I would, But I would WEAR IT ALOT!
So pleasseee, It would be awsome to have this hoodie!
Love,
TAYLOR!
Posted by: taylor:) at September 7, 2008 2:46 PMWell since I go to a Catholic school, uniforms are required everyday. But if I won this sweater, I would wear it before class, during lunch, and at the end of school. I'd wear it all the time, to represent my beliefs. If I wore it to the mall, it'd be a great way for someone to start a conversation with me, and I'd have the opportunity to spread the word on why it's greener, healthier and compassionate to be vegetarian. I'd probably even sleep in this sweater in the winter time! I'm so glad PETA2 finally designed a sweater that both vegans AND vegetarians can wear!
Posted by: Nicole at September 7, 2008 2:49 PMI think this hoodie will be great on me :P
I'm a vegetarian since 2 years, i'm 17 years old and I'm the only vegetarian in all my family so it's hard for me. It's also hard for me to explain to my family why it's important to don't eat meat, and most of all, for me, it's important to keep a clean environement. I don't know a lot of vegetarian and I'm sure if I walk with that hoddie, people will ask me questions about why I'm vegetarian and things like that and i would be able to explain them things that could influenced them to change their lifes.
hi, i would defenitly were this jacket everywhere i go. I am PROUD TO BELONG to Peta and winning this jacket would make me be another step closer to my peronal choice.
Also i would were this jacket becuase its stylish and casual and it would be a good way to get ppl to catch on!
i hope i win :)
this would be my first peta shirt and vegetarian shirt as well:)
This is the CUTEST hoodie ever! I have always wanted it!
I have just recently converted to vegetarianism and would love to show everyone my new lifestyle choice!
I also just want to thank peta for being plain AMAZING!

I want everyone to know I'm vegetarian, and then, if they ask me about my hoodie, I'll explain why I'm vegetarian and how good it is for you!
I love this hoodie sooo much. I think it's incredibly cute, and a great way to advertise to others about being a vegetarian. Personally, I'm not a vegetarian (Yet), I'm working VERY hard on it, but I wasn't able to give it up cold turkey haha, so I stopped eating cows, pigs, deer, etc. but if I won this hoodie it would just encourage me to become a vegetarian asap so I could wear it everyday of life.

i'd love to show to my whole school that IM a vegitarian!!!
and if pepole ask me why i'd go off on them about how the animals are tourcherd and put to death in such a inhumane way
I already do that when my moms friends ask me why im vegitarian and when my family does
i alread got 2 of my friends to go vegitarian
so i'd LOVE to have that jacket and maybe get a few more pepole to go veggy
i'd wear that jacket in 120 degree heat just to show that i am a vegitarian!
I uberly hope i wim :}
thankies very much :}
I would love to wear this hoody because i am proud that i am a vegetarian. Also, i would like people to see that i am a vegetarian, and hopefully get more and more people to be vegetarians.
And eventually, the whole world will be vegetarians/ vegans.
Well, I often get criticized for being vegetarian and living with a Hispanic family,it's really hard to choose such a different way to eat...the whole nine yards.
Anyways...I work at a local restaurant and I want to show everyone who comes in that, there are alternative choices (though few, I'm working on it) on the menu, and my boss to create even more. Just because I work where they sell meat, doesn't mean I join the bandwagon because of the pressure. I'd wear the sweater because I'm proud of what I am.
Oh...And I love the sweater. lol. :D
When I saw this sweater I said to myself. "Hey would'nt that be cool, strolling around with the word vegetarian written down the front of my sweater." I've only been a vegetarian for about six months, but every day I just realise more that I made the right choice. Winning that sweater would be great, not just because of the cold weather that we start to get in Canada around this time, but because it shows my vegetarian pride and it may even make people think "Hey that kid is a smart guy." with the recent Maple Leaf Meat incident I would'nt be surprised if that sweater brought about some new vegetarians around this area.
I've been vegetarian for years and vegan for the last few months and I'm very proud of that.
I'd wear it everyday because MY GOD it looks comfy and all my other jumpers are black :(
I also want to show other people that I am proud of my veganism :)
i would absolutely be thrilled to be one of the lucky winners of this hoodie because it gives me a chance to show my pride for being a vegetarian and looking good at the same time. if people don't know im a vegetarian, or have questions about being one, by wearing this hoodie i could help educate people on why its so important to make the switch to better yourself, the animals and the environment as well. i have always been so proud to be a vegetarian and this hoodie would fit my personality perfectly. and i love the cleverness of it by also putting "vegan" in different colors, ya know, in case i plan to become vegan down the road, which i'm hoping will happen. i am really hoping i could win this hoodie so i can show my love for animals when i go out.
Posted by: dana at September 7, 2008 3:52 PMWhat veg*n could possibly have enough peta merch? Not me, that's for sure!
Becoming a vegetarian was the best decision of my life. Every day, I live to help animals in need and spread awareness as far as I can.
Being passionate about animal rights and veg*nism is something thast defines me as a person. Without it, I dont know who I would be. This hoodie can help me express on the outside the pride that I feel within myself.
This hoodie is so functional! Whoever wears it can show off their veg*nism with pride - and fashionablility! I would wear it everywhere, especially now as the colder months are creeping up.
I've fallen in love with the hoodie!
Thank you so much, PETA, for creating the best, most accurate, most up-to-date resource for animal rights. Keep up the good work!
Posted by: at September 7, 2008 4:01 PMThis is awesome! My roommate, my mom and I are all vegetarians but I only have one other friend who is. I think the more opportunities people had to ask me "why are you vegetarian?" or "so you don't even eat eat fish?"(I get that one a lot...it seems a lot of people are really confused on what vegetarian/vegan means!) then the more opportunites I'd have to get them to take a second look at the way that they are living their own lives.
I became vegetarian in sixth grade and my mom soon afterward, the rest of my family is pretty rigid about their ways and treat us more of an annoyance than anything else at family dinners but I think the more vocal I get about where their food comes from then they might actually think about what they eat...they are compassionate people but completely in denial about what they eat and it needs to stop! My mom originally became vegetarian because she had to in order to cook dinners for me, but now she does it even though I'm away because it's a moral decision and I hope that it's one that more people will make.
Also, my favorite color is brown and this would go with just about everything that I have! I'm long overdue for a new hoodie.
Thanks...and if I don't win--congratulations to who does.
:)
Charles
This hoodie looks warm and toasty
And I'd like to have people approach me
About my delicious diet
And coax them just to try it
The winters here are cold and snowy
With winds that are cold and blowy
And that hoodie could keep me nice and warm
In a pretty white snow storm
I'd wear it all the time
So I created this rhyme
So that maybe you would choose me
To be the happy wearer of your hoodie.
Awesome hoodie!
This month marks my one year vegan date, yay! There really isn't quite anything like being a vegan - to know that we are making such a difference with very little effort from ourselves. Then I realized the beauty of vegan shampoo, lotion, make-up, etc. Not only can we protest the cruelty of animals, we can also be good to our bodies.
Whenever I hear the words 'vegetarian' or 'vegan' I no longer think of a diet, but of a wonderful and compassionate lifestyle.
I spread the word everyday. But sometimes people don't want to hear me talk. I think they like to see me DO! Wearing such a rad hoodie would attract attention, and hopefully help others reconsider what's for dinner.
i love this hoodie with a burning passion!
its amazing!
:D
I would love to win this, because, for 1) I wear zip-hoodies all the time. It's like my signature thing. I have 2 that I always wear, and new one would be awesome, especially a vegetarian one.
2ndly, because I am very proud of being a Vegetarian, been one for almost a year now. The only ways I can express my being one is through the stickers I have on my stuff and by chatting about it. It would be cool to have something I wear, big and bold expressing my views.

If I were to win this and people asked me why I would say "Because this represents me and I'm proud, I love animals and want them to live, I've always been a vegaterian and always will be,and meat is just plain cruel!"
it would be awesome to have this hoodie because it would proably be the only "vegetarian" sayin thing that i own.and it would be kool 4 me 2 put it out there that im a vegan
=]
I WANT TO ROCK THIS HOODIE TO SPREAD AWARENESS!
I AM DOING A LOT OF POLITICAL WALKS DURING CAMPAIGN SEASON AND THINK THAT ROCKING THIS HOODIE WHILE WALKING WOULD GET PEOPLES ATTENTION AND GET PEOPLE TALKING AND ASKING ABOUT ANIMAL RIGHTS DURING THIS CRUCIAL TIME IN AMERICA!
I WANT TO HELP SAVE ANIMALS AND KEEP THEM SAFE AND SPREADING OUR MESSAGE IS THE ONLY WAY TO DO THAT...WEARING A SIGN ON MY BODY STATING WHAT I BELIEVE IN IS A GREAT WAY TO GET THIS MESSAGE HEARD!!!!!!!!!!!

i would love love love (times 1 million) this sweatshirt so that i can wear it and inspire younger people like me (im 15) to go vegetarian. i would wear this everywhere to show my support for peta!!!!
xoxo annie
i would wear that every where not just because its cute, but because it shows people what i believe in. it also shows that i have an actual opinion rather then the people who walk around not questioning anything or thinking about what they are doing. i would wear it to show people that i don't go around with my blinders on like everyone else and that i have a real opinion and a voice.

Posted by: Annah at September 7, 2008 6:39 PMhowdy,
i would love to wear this sweat shirt to show who i am and what i am. i want to tell everyone i got it from peta2.com from the streetteam. plus this sweatshirt kicks ass
Well, first of all, I'd like to say that I totally ROCK hoodies. Of course, that has nothing to do with my being vegetarian, so, here I go.
I believe that hoodies like this are sacred. I believe it's sacred because it represents the opinions of young people of whom protest against the harm and abuse of animals. PETA is the world's largest animal rights organization, and I would wear this hoodie with such pride that, I would never take it off. I would keep it in the best condition, and I would never let anyone borrow it or leave it anywhere. The opinions of young people are more important now than any other time in history, and that is why I would wear it to school, to the store, at home, when I'm walking my dogs; anytime. I would say I would die for this hoodie, but if I died for it, I couldn't wear it. That is why I think I should win this hoodie. Thanks for your time,

I have been a vegitarian for about a month now and I became one because of Peta2. I have written letters to stop abuse to animals and I have encouraged my friends and family to look at the reality of eating meat and mistreating animals. At my high school we have to wear uniforms and they do not allow buttons to be worn :( but they do allow any type of jacket :) I can't show off my peta2 shirts and buttons but this jacket will allow people to come u to me and ask me questions and I will be able to express myself :) I was super excited when I saw this jacket and I want it terribly bad :)
Posted by: Alisha Usmani at September 7, 2008 6:52 PMi would rock that sweater so hard at my school. i am among one of the only vegans i know attending my school, and i would love to show others who i am. also, my senior project is on veganism and animal rights, so this sweater is a huge help.
Posted by: at September 7, 2008 6:53 PMI would love to win this hoodie because even when I'm too busy to tell people about vegetarianism and animal cruelty (in class for example) I can show them exactly how proud I am to be a vegetarian by wearing this sweater. Last year I had a PETA2 sticker on my arm, and I still got people asking me what PETA was. I felt so great being able to tell them about animal cruelty and how they could help. I hope because they asked me and found out the specifics about what industries do to animals, they looked up more on it and hopefully even decided to try vegetarianism for a while. I would love to have that chance again.
Posted by: Krystin at September 7, 2008 6:56 PMI WOULD LOVE THIS SWEATER BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN VEGATARIAN FOR 3 YEARS AND VEGAN FOR 2 AND I AM SO PROUD I HAVE CONVERTED 3 PEOPLE AND I ALLWAYS WEAR A PETA SWEATER AND IT IS GETTING OLD IF I GET THIS THAT WOULD BE AWSOME I WANTED THIS SWEATER SINCE IT CAME OUT I WOULD BE SOOOOOO HAPPY IF I GOT IT I REALY WOULD CRY IF I GOT THIS SWEATER SOOO PLEASE PICK ME I WOULD DO ANY THING TO WIN
P.S THANKS PETA FOT THIS OPERTUNITY
Posted by: samantha at September 7, 2008 7:20 PMI love this sweater and I love how it involves both Vegan and Vegetarian. I would wear it everywhere to show people that I am indeed a vegetarian and proud of it! Plus I hope it gets people to understand why I am wearing the sweatshirt!
Posted by: Amber Stiffler at September 7, 2008 7:28 PMHello,
If i won this hoodie, I would send it to my mom as a way to thank her for raising me as a vegetarian. I am now 23 years old, and I have never eaten meat or fish; it is my way of life and the one of my future children (but no rush!). My 2 brothers of 19 and 30 years old have also been vegetarians from day 1.
Another reason why I would love to send this to my mom is that she lives in France where most people are still so narrow minded about vegetarianism, and she often has to justify and explain the reasons behind her philosophy of respect for animals.
Ever since I have moved to the USA, I am amazed to see all the veggie options that exist here. France still has a long way to go!
Let's help spread the word, and believe me, she is ready to explain what we all think here. Not to mention, she will look gorgeous in brown. :)
Posted by: Ananda at September 7, 2008 7:32 PMi want it because i want to give it to my boyfriend!
Posted by: josh at September 7, 2008 7:39 PMI would be eccstatic to win this hoodie!
You have no idea, how proud I am to be a Vegetarian and a strong supporter of Peta.
I'd love to win it, that way when people ask about my hoodie, or why i'm Vegetarian, I'll have the perfect opportunity to convert them!
I love Peta.
I love being Vegetarian.
I love animals.
I love this hoodie!
^_^
I hope you pick me. :D
I tried my best to express myself.
Love, Angelica
Posted by: Angelica at September 7, 2008 7:47 PMHi Peta!
Winning this hoodie would be amaqzing for a few reasons. I have been a vegetarian for a little over a year now and my family still doesn't take me seriously about it. I get constant jokes and get teased a lot, not only at home, but at school as well. People seem to think that by handing me a burger, I'm going to take a bite and break all that I've done for a year now and counting. But I'm not and maybe showing my pride in being a vegetarian would help them understand that this is something I believe in and am sticking with. It's good for me and even better for the animals that I'm saving. They can't speak for themselves and I think it's about time that someone did some talking for them. Wearing this AMAZINGLY cute hoodie would be just another great way to show off my pride in being a veggie girl and a way to show that I'm not backing down just because some people can't accept me for who I am and for the choices I make.
And I'll just leave this comment with a thanks so much for keeping me informed on things I never knew were happening in the meat industry. It's really shocking and horrible to see an animal suffer just because it can't speak up for itself and say stop. It's comforting to know that finally some people are out there to say stop for them. Thanks for everything =)

I believe that I should win this hoodie because I am a vegitarian and I've even gotten a few of my friends and my sister to be vegetarians as well through Peta2's DVD's and literature. I do plenty of stuff to be an activist for animals. That and this hoodie is quite sweet and I think the way you guys made it say Vegetarian and Vegan is very very cool.
I'd even wear it in my school photo if I win it. :)
For me winning this hoodie would show people that I am comitted to being a vegetarian and dont plan on letting up. By wearing this more people would come up to me asking me why I became a vegetarian and I would tell them why I decided to change. (the horrors of what animals have to go through)
Also since I love to wear cute hoodies and wear them everywhere . I also take great pride in being a vegetarian. I took the step along with thousands of other people to protest and expose animal cruelty and show how foods get to our plates. I wouldnt have to tell people that I'm a vegetarian they can just read it on the hoodie.
I WOULD NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE TO TAKE IT OFF!!!!!! lol
Thank you PETA
Posted by: Brittany at September 7, 2008 8:05 PMi so want that hoodie! im going to college in an area where practically everyone raises animals for their own food. i want to wear it and show them that there is an alternative. it will start up conversations and i can share with them my views and how easy it is to stop eating meat. on top of that a few of my friends think they can trick me into eating meat. they do this by trying to shove meat in my mouth when im talking or by holding me down. my dad did unknowingly feed me some meat after being a vegetarian for over 5 yrs. i was so mortified and sickened that i am currently not talking to him and refuse to forgive him for what he did. i wanna wear this hoodie around him to show him that he cannot change me and my decision to save animals!
Posted by: melanie at September 7, 2008 8:09 PMPETA/PETA2,
I would like to win this hoodie so that I may give it to my friend. My friend's name is Nicole, and shes been vegetarian for 7 years, and vegan for 3. Many students make fun of her at school for being kind and not eating animals. She was actually the one who encouraged me to become vegetarian, and I am going on 1 year strong, thanks to her support. She has influenced many more of her peers to go vegetarian/vegan, and I would like some way to repay her for all of her persistance. What better way than a hoodie to show off all of her hard work!
Thanks PETA and PETA2!

I would want to win this hoodie to just remind me while I'm wearing it to tell people that they should consider being a vegitarian or a vegan. Its healthier and there is no cruelty (or guilt) involved.
Posted by: Connor Rohan at September 7, 2008 8:16 PMMe, I dont want this hoodie becuase i need clothes.. Well yeah i do need some clothes but thats besides the point. I want to spread the word that im vegitarian. I Think it'll make people go "oh wow shes a vegitarian." Even if they dont like the idea. Because i'm a veggitarian because i absulutly an utterly love animals and i cant stand to sit in lunch with people who hog down there meat like it was never as alive as they were. So i would love to win that sweater plus its quite adorable. Plus my mom doesn't have any money at the moment so i cant buy it. I would just really want to walk around proud because my hoodie says something so important about me. All i do is point out to everyone that i dont eat animals because i love them. Im proud to be a vegetarian, you should desighn a hoodie that says that, that would be a great hoodie=)
Posted by: Brianna at September 7, 2008 8:16 PMI think its great that peta has finally made available a hoodie that everyone whether their vegetarian or vegan can wear with pride. I would wear it everywhere and proudly advertise my life choice against cruelty. Wearing this hoodie not only shows that we as animal activists our out there but it also symbolises our pride as a community and in our ethics. :)
Posted by: Aymee at September 7, 2008 8:43 PM Not only is this so adorably fashion forward, it really is for a great cause!
I would where this every second and never take it off! I am a proud vegetarian and I want to show case that. Hopefully other people will see it and ask "Your vegetarian?! That's just too hard for me to do."
Most people say this when I tell them.
I reply to them how I could never eat murdered animals and why if you really feel as strongly as I do, it's not hard. Maybe I could have them see that vegetarian is the way to go, and I could even help them with it.
But with this hoodie, I could make that point to so many more people, because it won't take me talking to them in a conversation to tell them.
They'll know by simply looking at me.
I would wear this as a bage of pride and try to help other people see the world the way I do. Or at least, give them my opinion on it.
Thank you for this amazing opportunity to show how I feel and maybe, (hopefully!) even be rewarded for it! Hope to hear from you soon!
I love these hoodies , if i had one i would wear so people are aware of my beliefs and my vow never to eat meat, also i would wear it to influnce kids to go to peta or peta2 just to see what they can do to help this world of are's out before its to late. i strongly believe we can change are meat eating was before its to late.
Posted by: Alex at September 7, 2008 9:02 PMI would like to win this hoodie because i pretty much live out of hoodies.
and at my school im seen A LOT because im a cheerleader, in play, in chior, MMA, soccer, singing, dance, and gymnastics.
and i want people to see me and see the sweater and hopefully it would start a conversation about vegiarianism/veganism and i will be able to tell them all about it and maybe they will become one themselves.
i just think that i see enough people for it to be seen a lot and save a lot of animals.
i have been vegetarian for 106 days now :]
im very proud of it too ive completly became better has a person not eating meat it proves i can do anything i set my mind to i would wear that hoodie everywhere i go even to bed i would be so proud to wear that :]
cangrats to whoever wins it

Oh! I've loved this sweater from the first time I saw it! It's really really nice and if i could have one of those I would wear it everyday, everywhere. I promise. Then I could show the world that I'm a vegetarian, and be proud of it, and my nice sweater.
Posted by: Josefine at September 5, 2008 9:23 AMPlease please let me win one, I would do anything!
