Okay, in all fairness, who doesn't love a Lettuce Lady? They go anywhere and everywhere to encourage people to "GO VEG!"
Check out two of our lovely Lettuce Ladies below—they stopped by a fire station in Ossining, NY, recently to pass out some delicious vegetarian sandwiches and pose for some pictures with the firefighters.
Word has it that the firefighters really enjoyed the sandwiches—and of course the Lettuce Ladies were gracious enough to leave them with some vegetarian starter kits, too.
Showing how delicious and fun it is to be vegetarian is a great way to get people to give vegetarianism a try. These ladies are committed enough to sport lettuce to spread a positive message, and I give them major props.
Where else do you think PETA's Lettuce Ladies should pass out vegetarian sandwiches?

they should go to a school one day and pass out some veggie sandwiches!!
i think a lot of people would like the sandwiches when they tried them.

Posted by: Hayley at September 9, 2008 9:29 PMi think they should come to Oregon and come to the smaller towns here we really need something to get people up and stop doing other things, people sit around all day doing nothing and eating junk food its really bad for them... and while in the town go to some collage or high schools i know a lot of people that would like those sandwiches
