Sportin' some peta2 flare is a great way to speak up without actually having to say a word and we've got a button for pretty much any issue you can think of. And since we want you to get out there and spread the word every chance you get, we thought we'd give some buttons away!
It was tough to decide which buttons to include in the packs because all of the issues are important to me, but these are some of my faves, so here goes. Each pack will have one of the following:
Boycott KFC, Cut Class, Not Frogs, Powered by Tofu because, well, because I love fried tofu, and the classics I Am Not a Nugget, and No Fur.
Want to get your hands on one of three free peta2 button packs? Just comment below telling me which peta2 campaign is nearest and dearest to your heart and why? Simple, right?
This contest ends August 1, 2008 and the winners will be chosen and notified by August 8, 2008.

The KFC boycott is most dearest to my heart because I am a huge fan of chickens. I absolutley hate how KFC treats theirs chickens it tears me up inside. I don't know who jas the heart to do that to poor creatures and I'm a proud vegetarian.
Posted by: Katie Malina at July 18, 2008 1:54 PMI love peta2.
I've been a vegan for a little over a year and I LOVE IT! :D
Posted by: Stephanie Dersch at July 18, 2008 2:05 PMThe KFC campaign means so much to me because I do not feel that it is right to torture poor chickens just to eat them.
Posted by: Tabatha Harris at July 18, 2008 2:26 PMI love the No Fur campaign. That is because I've grown up with animals all my life. Family and friends would always tease me because I brought stray animals home to take care of them or find thier owners, and because my family loves meat and I can't stand it. Knowing that a poor, defenseless, innocent animal is going through pain we couldn't imagine just makes me want to cry. I feel deeply for these animals. I can't imagine what kind of monster thiks it's okay to treat animals that way. People think that because animals can't tell you they're hurting that means they aren't, but I know that's not true. They can feel pain, just like you and me. Sure they can't talk, but no creature on Earth or anywhere in the universe deserves what those poor animals have to go through.
Posted by: Jessica at July 18, 2008 2:26 PMmy favorite campaign is the no fur one because it's something everyone can take part in. people who aren't vegan or vegetarian can support it also because i'm sure no body would want a cute furry animal to be brutally skinned alive and left to die a slow an painful death. they don't have to change their lifestyles to support it so it's easy to help out.
Posted by: lilly at July 18, 2008 2:28 PMThe campaign that is most nearest & dearest to my heart would definatly be the KFC campaign.
They kill so many chickens each year..the least they could do is add a veg friendly burger to the menus in the USA.

Posted by: Morgan Bridges at July 18, 2008 2:31 PMi think the cut class not frogs is my favorite because its a problem going on in schools everywhere, and just because i looveee frogs, i did ever since i was little :D
Posted by: hallie at July 18, 2008 2:31 PMI think Fight the Circus is very important because a lot of people are ignorant to the abuse and neglect of the performing animals. Animals used in circuses suffer everyday for the sake of human entertainment. What I find most sad about this is that the people attending such events are clueless to the cruelty happening before their own eyes. The same goes for "Donkey Basketball." My town held one of these a few months ago, and I discouraged people from going.
Posted by: Haley at July 18, 2008 2:34 PMPersonally, I can't say that one camaign is closer to my heart than another, because each campaign is close to my heart because I'm a vegan and I love animals. I feel favouring a campaign would take away from the fact that everything we do for animals in the fight against cruelty is important, it might take a long time to change the world, but to every animal we help in any industry what we do changed their world. :D
Posted by: Angela Woodcox at July 18, 2008 2:43 PMI love little chickens!
So i think the kentucky Fried cruelty is a really good wayy to get ppl to stop eating chickenns and realize how painful it is to thesse helpless chicks
It just kills me to look at your pictures on the brochures thats why I am a proud and thankful vegetarian!

The No Fur Campaign Is My Favorite because we had bunnies, minks, and a few other very furry critters that me and some friends would visit on a farm owned by one of our friends. She found the animals there when she bought the farm which was an old fur farm. She tore the plants and cages that held the animals in down with the help of some friends. The animals are caged but the cages they are in now are 3 acres big. she put them in the fences because the wild animals would eat them. Fur IS GROSS!!!!!! ^_^

My boyfriend used to work for in a KFC restaurant, and he remembers seeing whole bags of chicken being thrown away due to a worker's carelessness, having dropped it on the floor, etc. Just the wastefulness there is bad enough, and it made us think about being vegetarians. We have both been meat-free for the last 5 years, and when I saw some of the KFC footage, I was even more glad that we made that decision. Peta2 is great for reaching out to young people, that is definitely a very effective way to create a change in society. Keep up the great work!
Posted by: Rose Ganley at July 18, 2008 3:05 PMWell.....I saw this on myspace...
but I thought mine wouldn't really matter because there were so many comments already :D
The Anti-fur is the campaign I can relate to the most because I just can't bare to believe that they actually kill any animal at all for a damn coat! I get so angry at the world when I hear of this...but it is a wonderful, amazing thing that you have this campaign against it :D
I
Love
PETA!!!!!
The no fur campaign is nearest and dearest to my heart b/c i want animals to keep their fur and I wish animals would not get skinned alive.
P.S. I read and agreed to the privacy policy. And I agreed to the terms and conditions.
The meat is murder campaign is most personal to me. I dont think anyone can justify in any logical manner as to why it is "okay" to eat animals. Also, I have been vegetarian for a year now, and I am looking forward to one day transitioning to becoming vegan.

Posted by: michelle at July 18, 2008 3:32 PMI would have to say the 'No Fur' peta2 campaign is nearest and dearest to me because I love all animals and I think we all should stand up for all furry little angels even thoughs some people think are ugly.
All animals need love and this campaign shows the would why fur is not needed in coats, hats and more!
Love ya, peta2.
The Burberry campaign.
In my city there's hardly any ppl who wears Burberry, and there isn't a store in here, but I hate anything about fur (like the trollsens)!!
The way that animals are skinned alive it's maybe one of the most inhumane and painfull thing a human can do against an animal!
The first time I saw the video I started crying, it's terrible.

All peta campaigna are very important to me. If I was going to get a free btton pack I would probably want one on the topic of animal testing. This is because I am very passionate about this topic. And one of my main goals in life is to end animal research because I feel that it is completely pointless and cruel. Ofcourse all of the topics are extremely important so whichever topic is chosen, I will be happy with it. :]
Posted by: Tyler Murphy at July 18, 2008 4:03 PMi would have to say is no fur because thousands of innocent animals die each day just to please someone for clothing. fur coats? who needs those? no one they die in horrible and painful deaths thats the campaign i love the most. AGAINST FUR!!

Posted by: mildre at July 18, 2008 4:10 PMThe pictures of chickens with the slogan "Jesus Loves Me Too" tends to reach me the most because (and I'm not trying to offend anybody, this is what I believe) animals are God's creations too. I find that some people say that God made animals for people to use, but I know that He wouldn't mean for humans to torture animals.

Posted by: Christina at July 18, 2008 4:22 PMI would say the campaign "nearest and dearest" to my heart would be the new "woof!" campaign for several reasons. For one, my sudden realization that there's no real difference between farmed animals and domesticated animals except their appearance and perhaps the noises they make is one of the reasons I went veg. Second of all, my neighbor used to have a pig named Duffy that he had found almost dead in his back field(there was a big farm behind his house that another neighbor owned), so he took it in and fell in love with it. Eventually, I went over to his house for a visit and loved it too, so since the "woof" campaign is centered around pigs, it's special to me. Third, I think the "woof" campaign is one that will draw alot of attention and really make people think about what they're eating.
Posted by: Logan Charles at July 18, 2008 4:25 PMThe campaign that is closest to my heart is the KFC boycott. My favorite band, Fall Out Boy who have touched me in so many ways on so many occasions support this cause. When I first read about the abuse of chickens on the peta2 website I was appalled. Right then, I took a vow never to eat there again. And I haven't. I put anti-KFC stickers on my water bottle and other possessions to spread the word. I have also told a lot of my friends about the horrid things that go on inside the KFC factory and some of then have banned KFC also. This campaign has changed the way I look at the whole fast food industry and animal cruelty.
Posted by: Brittany at July 18, 2008 4:30 PMI enjoyed the "Cut Class, not Frogs" campaign. I cringed when we had to do dissection in Bio and feel that if they cannot cut out the lesson completely, it should not be made mandatory and students, vegetarian or not, should be able to decide their frogs (or pigs in my case) fate.
Posted by: Amanda at July 18, 2008 4:49 PMIt's hard to just pick one but, the campaign closest to my heart is the "Cut Out Dissection" campaign. Even though there's alternatives to dissecting a real animal, some people are intent on it. Dissection is something that needs to stop.
Posted by: Mayra at July 18, 2008 4:54 PMI think the "I am not a nugget" button is the most important. There are so many chickens being abused and killed for people's enjoyment. People need to be aware that what they eat wasn't that way before. That little piece of fried meat used to be an animal. It went through torture and suffering to be that piece of food. Thats why I chose this button.

Posted by: hannah at July 18, 2008 5:18 PMMy favorite is definitely powered by tofu. Since I became a vegetarian my life has completely changed. Now i seem to have more energy and i enjoy life more!
Posted by: cynthia at July 18, 2008 5:36 PMThe "I am not a nugget" and "Jesus Loves Me Too" campaigns are the closest to my heart. I have been a vegetarian for 18 (nearly 19!) years now and I know in my heart I will never EVER go back to eating meat. Animal cruelty is not on my list of things I want to accomplish in this precious life we're all given (ANIMALS TOO!). :( I don't wear leather or fur either and I only buy cruelty-free products. It means that much to me to keep up w/ the current lists of safe companies (there are a lot more than there were 18 years ago!!) :) Thanks so much for everything that you guys do to spread the word. ~Maise~ :)
Posted by: Maise Random at July 18, 2008 5:59 PMWhile all campaigns are important to me, right now I'd have to say the one i am working the hardest on is "cut class not frogs". I wont dissect this year, and i don't think anyone should ever have to.
The Circus campaign is closest to my heart, I have personally witnesses elephant cruelty myself and have attended 16 protests on it. Against the ringling brothers, second is fur because of how unneeded it is.
Posted by: Tom Wigglesworth at July 18, 2008 6:39 PMMy favorite campaign is the fur is dead campaign, because i hate the idea wearing fur. Also when i went to this mall in a small town in Texas. Every single girl there was wearing something made out of fur, fur lined boots, jackets, the works. I seriously just wanted to pour red paint all over them and yell how do you think the animals feel about you wearing their fur. but since I didn't have any paint and there was mall police I couldn't. So yeah I really hate fur.
Posted by: Jasmine at July 18, 2008 6:46 PMI think the KFCruelty Campaign is closest to me because the first KFC was opened in my home state (Yea, i know, nothing to be proud of!). Most people consider KFC to be a great addition to Kentucky and its history but I know (and try to show as many others as I can, as well) that this is not true. This cruelty needs to be exposed.
Posted by: Tracy at July 18, 2008 6:54 PMCut Class, Not Frogs would be the nearest and dearest campaign to me because: 1 It's wrong to kill any animal purely for the benefit of humans 2 Last year I did cut class and not a frog 3 Frogs are awesome and shouldn't be murdered and mutilated
Posted by: grace at July 18, 2008 7:14 PMi think that all of the campains are important because they help all animals keep their lives. i may be only 14 but i can do a lot to help thanks to all of the campains but if i had to choose i would pick the fight the circus one. i went to the circus when i was 10 and i got to go down under the autatorium to see the animals and i saw a man whip the elephant hard because it wouldnt stay in the same place for its bath. i wanted to leave right away and my mom made me stay i cryed every time i saw a animal so now i go to a circus with only acrobats and clowns that comes near my house and i boycott circuses forever. and im a proud vegetarian.
Posted by: nicole at July 18, 2008 7:14 PMI love the boycott KFC one. It's horrific that millions of chickens are treated so cruelty while KFC is laughing all to the bank. It's so disturbing.I'm glad I've been vegan for years now.
Posted by: Natasha at July 18, 2008 7:21 PMThe Fur Is Dead campaign is the most nearest and dearest to me just because fur is extremely cruel yet so unnecessary and there are so many alternatives, yet people still wear fur. It makes no sense and it makes me really angry! I wish fur was illegal (on humans, of course).
Posted by: Kyle at July 18, 2008 7:22 PMi think there all important i'd love to have pins to wear on my smock [my work uniform], im a cashier so i'd be basically advertising my beliefs [i already do] but maybe some one would stop and think how does this poor chicken/ cow think of me making a meal out of it even though i didn't have too? or how did this poor animal feel getting slaughtered? & maybe just maybe they'd go down to produce and pick out something more delicious & less disgusting
i've talked to my co-workers and even boss about my beliefs i don't care if they don't care but im sure as hell bringing it to their attention. i even told someone before "i hope when you die your reincarnated into a pig so you can see what its like. have fun getting slaughtered" it was mean yes but needed
I liked the "Cut class, not frogs" campaign. In 9th grade during lab, we had to dissect frogs! I as so against it! I told my teacher but she said it was part of the curriculum. I couldn't class, I didn't have the heart to run out & get into trouble. In my group, I did nothing but stare. It was so disgusting, yet so cruel! The most horrible part is when the boys in my class poked & prodded the insides! Poor frogs. Now I put the stickers on my binder & folder. My friend got so influenced! =]
Posted by: Marisha Subandi at July 18, 2008 8:28 PMThe campaign closest to my heart is the "Cut Out Dissection" one. I recently adopted two frogs, and I have learned just how amazing they are. They are very active, and it's interesting to watch them hunt for their food (crickets). They have so many cool traits, like how they drink through their skin. They need love and compassion and are wonderful pets, and it's just not right to cut up your pet, especially with all the alternitives, like online dissection.

but in reality, all campaigns are close to my heart. They all complete me. All campaigns are so
different, yet they all swipe me up wanting to make change. I applaud all the campaigns and wish them the best.
=D
i wouldnt be able to choose one campaign. they're all very dear and important to me. i dont approve of people eating/wearing/using and so on, animals.
treating them right is what's important and keeping them on this earth health and happy is the message i'd like to send out.

The PETA campaign closest to my heart is the "Fur is Dead" campaign. I've always kept cats as companians, whether they were from neighbors, shelters, or strays. I love cats. After becoming active in PETA, I found out about the fur trade in China and other places.. and how people are actually selling cat fur. I've never agreed withthe wearing of fur but this hit me really hard. To imagine someone putting the fur of my babies on themselves to look FASIONABLE?! I couldn't believe it. I've made posters and speeches at school to advocate about this terrible tradition of "fashion".
Posted by: Marissa at July 18, 2008 9:45 PMI don't really know wich is my favorite campaign because they are all so very close to my heart. I mean, the Anti KFC is very important to me because they torture chikens just so people can get fatter and get sick out of those chikens who have never seen a good life.
Then there is the Cut Class, Not Frogs campaign. That one is very very important to me because I think it's useless to disect on an animal that was killed just for "learning" but it's actually very pointless, specially if it's in a high school. Kids don't care that much, they just think it's cool to cut an animal (belive me, I'm in high school).
The NO EXPERIMENTING ON ANIMALS is super important to me because is one of the worst tortures I have ever seen. Nazi Germany photos of the concentration camps are the same as labs where they experiment on animals. Horrible stuff. Like a nightmare.
The woof campaing is very important to me because it's true, pigs are like dogs. And not only pigs, but every other animals doesn't deserve to become food. I became vegetarian 11 months ago and I feel better than ever. Meat sucks!!
But i DO belive that the campaign that is nearest to my heart is the "No Fur" campaign. I mean... killing animals in the name of fashion????? that's just plain wrong!. We are not cave men, that's OLD FASHION. It ended a few hundred years ago. And it's just plain bad wat they do to the poor animal. I mean, those coats one day will be thrown away or eaten by bugs, or maybe some stupid girl wants a fur coat that's better looking that the one her parents baught her so they throw it away. It's useless to wear fur. Seriously.
Anyways... My fave campaign is "No Fur" ^_^
Sorry for writing so much.
Anyways please pick me!!! I really really wich I could have those pins. :(
Posted by: Lauren at July 18, 2008 10:38 PMi love the anti fur campaign becuase when i was twelve, my aunt got me a fur coat, and i immediatly told her that i wouldnt wear it. my mom told me that i should wear it to be nice to my aunt, but i said that i refused to wear fur. my aunt got mad and didnt talk to me for a week becuase of how "ungrateful" i was for that gift, but i stood my ground and she returned it. that is why i thouroghly support the anri fur campaign
Posted by: mehek at July 18, 2008 10:41 PMMy fav is the 'I am Not a Nugget' campaign simply because chickens? They're actually pretty awesome and most definetly weren't made to fit in a deep fryer (along with every other animal out there, folks). So, that's my fave, because animals were never meant to be dipped in batter and packaged in a to-go box.
Posted by: Lauren at July 18, 2008 11:02 PMall are important but i believe the most important to me is the "i am not a nugget" campaign because beating then eating poor defenseless animals for the pleasure of your own taste buds is the most awful selfish action a person can do and just thinking about it disgust me. i would really love to have the "i am not a nugget" pin because i am a vegan and i have a poster to match it. chickens are my favorite farm animal they are the cutest thing and killing them is the worst thought i could ever imagine i have seen the cruel videos of them beating the chickens on peta2.com and iv been trying to think of a plan to try to stop people from eating meat i have a myspace and it is covered with peta things, and it angers me that people obviously don't care for the animals that suffer the cruelty of slater factories. and people have the excuse of saying if you don't eat meat you don't eat protein and you wont have energy but iv been a vegetarian for one year then been a vegan for one year so i haven't eaten meat for two years and am planning of growing my kids to be a vegetarian.that is why i would love to have the "i am not a nugget' pin
Posted by: jessica s at July 19, 2008 12:53 AMNaming only one peta2 campaign as "the most important" to me is an extremely difficult decision. All of the animal cruelty issues are very special to me, and I believe all are equally important, not just for myself- but the general public as well.
But if I had to chose... I would chose the Anti-Fur campaign. Campaigning against fur is very important, mostly because I think the public doesn't realize just how cruel fur is. If they knew how badly the animal is treated and tortured up to their death--they might think twice about wearing fur. Getting the word out is extremely important. So I'm thankful that Peta and peta2 is around to show us all the wrongs of animal cruelty.
Posted by: Michelle at July 19, 2008 1:01 AMit would be the fur is dead campaign because only animals should wear fur. that is a sick and cruel thing to do
Posted by: Elora at July 19, 2008 1:08 AMi think the anti-fur campaign is most important to me because an animals fur looks wayyyyy more better on the animal it came from than on a person...it looks sooo dumb!!
haha
:]
and killing a beautiful animal for its fur is wrong because every animal deserves a chance at life...besides lots of animals have died because theyre getting hunted for their fur and its happening too much now and soon those animals are gana get extinct and it makes me sad...:'/
stoopid hunters they should get a real job..>:O

Posted by: ana at July 19, 2008 1:12 AMchoosing only one cause is hard...(because I feel all these causes are equally important) but the 'no fur' campaign is the most vital to my being...It is heartbreaking how anyone can torture animals just so they can wear something so stupid as a fur coat!!! I can't believe that any person could condone such an act of stupidity as skining an animal (a living creature) ALIVE!!! I can't believe we have so many barbaric people on this planet! I'm also extremely against mars candy...testing on animals is wrong!!! Companies test on animals because they feel that it is alright because they think animals are of a lower life form... They feel that because animals cannot tell us that they are in excrutiating pain that it is okay for them to torture them...but they classify them as a lower life form due to the fact they cannot communicate the same as a grown human does... (now to an even more barbaric point, but true)...Well what about human babies? These companies prey on defensless animals because they don't communicate the same...but a baby doesn't communicate the same, so are they considered a lower life form? I'm obviously not ever suggesting to use these horrific tests on defensless babies, but why on earth would anyone want to prey on defensless animals?! BOYCOTT ANIMAL TESTING!! Its immoral and really not needed...why should we end an animals life so we can get a new candybar or a caffene fix?!
Posted by: at July 19, 2008 1:43 AMI believe all of the PETA campaigns are very important. The one that I hold most near and dear to my heart is the 'go veg' campaign. I try to educate everyone I meet and everyone close to me about the dangers of eating meat both to the body and the environment. There would be no animal cruelty if the whole world was vegan. This is the most important campaign to me because its the root the misery that animals go through. Once everyone learns that we are smart enough to leave these defenseless animals alone, this world will be a great place.

Posted by: Hannah at July 19, 2008 2:14 AMI love the "I am not a nugget" campaign, because I am so sick of people telling me "I don't eat meat...only chicken". HELLOOOOOO!! Posted by: Jamie at July 19, 2008 2:45 AMThe KFC campaign--because it tastes so good--until i thought about it.
Posted by: margaret herrin at July 19, 2008 7:00 AMI would have to say the KFC campaign, because so man chickens are ruthlessly slaughtered each year. I remember that the only meat I used to eat a while ago was chicken. And when my mother gave me pork instead of chicken, I became an actual vegetaian because I finally realized that chickens do suffer the most. However, KFC crosses the line much further than that. Live scalding? Cutting off beaks while they are still concious? Abusing them just for fun? KFC is one of the most thick-headed companies and we should do all we can to stop it.

Posted by: Aldo at July 19, 2008 9:40 AMTough question! One of my favourite Peta2 campaigns in the recent Woof! one because I've always been telling people how much pigs are like dogs and now that Peta2 backs me up people actually believe me!
However, the Peta2 campaign that is closest to my heart is animal testing because I have a medical phobia so the thought of anyone (human or non-human) being subjected to medical tests makes me feel physically sick and even more so because testing on non-human animals is completely unnecessary.
I think that the "Cut Class, Not Frogs" campaign is especially important, because it's ridiculous that public school include mutilating animals as part of their curriculum. The need to cut dissection of modern education is very important to me.
Posted by: Kim at July 19, 2008 10:51 AMI would have to say that my favourite campaign is the frog dissection because last year I had to do dissections except it was on fetal pigs. It was so discusting and my group had to do all the work.
Posted by: Mary at July 19, 2008 11:13 AMThe No Fur campaign is closest to my heart. I just don't understand why clothes containing fur are of such importance. There are plenty of suitable clothes that don't contain an animal so I just find fur to be an unnecessary addition to the fashion industry and an unnecessary source of animal suffering. In campaigning against it, I believe that other people will also realise this and stop buying fur.
Posted by: Ellie at July 19, 2008 11:17 AMThe KFC one only because we've been boycotting them for SO long, yet they are still torturing the chickens. Have they NO clue at all???
Posted by: Chrystal Davis at July 19, 2008 11:39 AMI think the "I am not a nugget" button is the most important because people are killing defenseless animals that have lived a life of misery and pain for 5 minutes of 'joy' while eating it.
Posted by: Alexis at July 19, 2008 11:55 AMMy favorite peta2 campain is the Powerd By Tofu. Im a selfproclaimed chef and I love cooking vegan dishes. It gives me a chance to show my friends that they can pig out on really good food and not be eating nasty dead animals. Its cool to see how supprise they get when they find out Tofu is NOT moldy toe jam! You know what they say, the only way to a persons brain is through their stomach! lol

Posted by: Heather at July 19, 2008 1:06 PMI think my favorite campaign is the No Fur one.
My reason is because i cant even imagine the pain and suffering each animal goes through when they are getting skinned alive. It really cuts deep when i see someone wearing fur or leather. Its even worse when the person who is wearing it is fully informed about what has happened but still doesn't care.
CUT CLASS, NOT FROGS
Posted by: WENDY HORN at July 19, 2008 1:48 PMThe Woof! campaign is nearest and dearest to my heart. It's message is beautiful because it asks everyone to think about the differences and similarities between dogs and pigs. This is great because it can be taken further to include all animals. It is one way of spreading the message of peace because all animals are living creatures and we should respect them by allowing them to live their lives!
Posted by: Lena at July 19, 2008 2:08 PMPowered by Tofu because there is no more powerful social action than to stop participating in cruelty and adopting a vegan diet NOW.
Posted by: Brian N. at July 19, 2008 2:19 PMMy favorite is the "KFC" because they want you to belive that they take "Really GOOD" care of there animals. Also they want the public to buy from them but they abuse the chickens. They need to stop abusing the chickens if they want more customers.
The KFC campaign is very important because the thought of helpless animals being unnecessarily tortured sends chills through my spine. There really is no humane way to kill, but their almost sadistic practices are awful!
Posted by: Sheridan at July 19, 2008 2:59 PMThe campaign that is closest to my heart is the new woof campaign. I think I love it because when I first got a peta booklet, I was so suprised that dogs and pigs are so alike. I couldn't belive that I used to eat pigs!!! I look at my dog and how much she is like a pig, and I think wow, I'd never eat my dog so why would a eat a smart pig?
Posted by: Sam at July 19, 2008 3:11 PMThe one closest to my heart is the no fur campaign. Fur is so useless to humans. Only the animals deserve to have it. We don't need it. There are so many synthetic materials for us to use that it's not even funny. And the animals only have their skin, and we don't have the right to take it from them. =D
I think that being living a vegetarian lifestyle has done nothing but good. It improves my health, the environment, and most importantly stops cruelty. The problem is that I am one person, I try to spread the word through my school. I have Peta stickers decorating binders, folders, and my locker and when people ask about them it is a great oppurtunity to spread the word. In my Foods class I prepared the Chicken Silverstein Style from a Peta pamplet and had 45 minutes to explain why a vegetarian lifestyle is a better one. These buttons are just another way to spread the word and I'd like to participate in that. Also, those pins are very cute.

Posted by: sandy at July 19, 2008 4:46 PMHonestly; all campaigns are dear to me :) I have protested for each one, mainly KFCruelty since thats the one nearest to me. I love saving animals & geting the word out there. It means a lot to me when i change someones mind about eating animals / wearing them / testing them. My entire life is dedicated to animals. I love you peta :) Thanks for changing my life for the better.
Posted by: Heather Murphy at July 19, 2008 4:58 PMI would say the Cut Class Not Frogs Campaign is closest to my heart because I am trying to get my school to stop dissecting! Many people have been trying!
Posted by: Claudia at July 19, 2008 5:05 PMAll peta campaigna are very important to me.Esp NO FUR. Who gives anyone any right to wear any animal from dog to horse to sheep to lion to pig to frog. That should not be a choice or an option it should be classified as first degree murder.Animals are no different than humans,They even make a hell of a better friend than most humans do.PROTECT THEIR RIGHTS!!!
Posted by: Kara at July 19, 2008 6:06 PMI like all of the PETA campaigns but if i had to choose, i'd probably choose the anti-fur campaign. The "INVESTIGATION INTO CHINESE FUR FARMS" video really hit me. Some dogs and cats that still have COLLARS on are STOLEN for fur harvesting in China. These are people's companions we are talking about! It's inconsiderate to HUMANS BEINGS AND THE ANIMALS BEING SKINNED! And it's not like the animals are treated nicely before their skin is STOLEN either! Numerous animals are trapped together in small wired cages. On top of that, they are dropped, kicked and beaten multiple times while shipping them to and from different places. Even when they are bleeding and whining through their sharp wired cages, they are ignored. The aniamls are finally let out to be hung upside down to be skinned. Most of these animals are still ALIVE during that process! I can't imagine how painful it is to be skinned alive and waiting to bleed to death. I am SO glad PETA exposed this to the world and work hard to stop top fashion houses and other apparel companies to stop using and buying fur for their clothes. I have already showed this video to some people and like me, they show utter disgust towards what some heartless people are capable of.
Posted by: Tammy Wong at July 19, 2008 6:43 PMthe NO FUR campain, because there is no excuse why you're wearing fur, you wont be protien or iron deprived if you dont wear it.
Posted by: Oksana at July 19, 2008 6:48 PMthey are all very very important but my favorite is the kfc campiagn.
i hate the fact that they sell their chicken in buckets now, encouraging people to eat more chicken so kfc can kill more even faster. it makes me sick.
My favorite is the No Fur Campaign. I don't think any animals should be murdered for their fur!

Posted by: susan varney at July 19, 2008 10:18 PMI like the "No Fur" best because I have two cats and I learned from this site that, in China, they use cat and dog fur for clothing; and say it's another animal. Plus, I think it's cruel to rip animals fur off.
Posted by: Brittany at July 19, 2008 11:32 PMmy fave is deffinatly the cut class not frogs. Probley cuz i belive its completly unethical to kill a living animal. Not to mention forcing students to do something the may not want to.
Posted by: Danielle at July 20, 2008 12:05 AMI've been a vegetarian for a month now, and enjoyed it so much ! not only does my body feel great, but I know that I'm helping to save the animals I care so much about. I'm in love with all of these buttons, and think there amazing. I feel shy to talk about / start up my own conversations about me being a Vegetarian, and buttons and stickers are a great way to get them started. Being in highschool I have lots of friends who are interested in why I do these things. I'm hoping the buttons would help.
I am not a nugget campaign is so catchy and the footage you have obtained is proof of the issues with the industry...all of Petas campaigns are credible and worth fighting for.
Posted by: Catherine KingChuparkoff at July 20, 2008 12:36 AMMy favorite campaign would have to be, "Cut Class Not Frogs." I am extremely against dissection and I love how this campaign stands so strongly for it. This campaign helped myself as a person and also changed my friends point of views!

Thank you PETA FOR ALL YOU DO and myspace will be there for you as long as I am there.
Thank you.
Over a year ago i stumbled upon an anti-fur video. that video changed my life. Watching that video was groundbreaking for me, my 'moment of clarity'. From that moment on i could not support the torture of animals for a second longer. I could not see the difference between those poor animals being skinned alive, from my own skin and muscle, nor from the food on my plate. My point of view drastically changed for the better and i immediatly started to spread the truth about what is really happening. without the Anti-Fur movement i would not be the happy, loving, compassionate girl that i am today, trying to make an incredible difference in the world.
i love you peta, thank you so much.

Posted by: Judith Rachmani at July 20, 2008 10:19 AMI really cannot choose which campaign is most important to me. ANYTHING that has to do with helping animals means alot for me! i guess the ones i really love are the "fur is dead" campaign and the woof! campaign. my grandma has always loved fur coats, and ever since i was little, i always used to yell at her "you are killing the animals!!! stop buying them!!!" My parents and other relatives have also been annoyed when i asked what the difference was when they were eating a wild rabbit, while they wouldnt dare touch my two pet rabbits and why people ate cows, chickens, and pigs, but dont touch dogs and cats! those two campaigns are something i actually kindof grew up with and i was, and still am a huge animal lover and love to campaign. i have also gone vegetarian and have rescued all of my pets from shelters and rescued my cat from a family-our next door neighbors!- who horribly abused it! i have always done everything i can to help animals and help people understand how they are our friends and dont deserve to be treated horribly. i would die for my animals! Like i said before, anything with animals will always be dear to my heart and i would be sooo happy to have those pins...and i would love to wear them and show other people!

Posted by: Douglas W at July 20, 2008 12:25 PMSpaying and neutering your dogs is really important to me. I've worked and volunteered at several animal shelters and I see first hand the overpopulation problems in this country, but breeders still breed more dogs! Please spay and neuter, and go to a shelter FIRST when deciding to get a cat or dog!
Posted by: Bridget at July 20, 2008 12:58 PMAll of these campaigns with the buttons and everything have done so much to help these poor animals in despair. i really want to make a difference in animals lives. The buttons that I like and enjoy the most would have to be meat is murder, cut class, not frogs, and most deffinatly no fur. these animals have to go through so much pain and suffering to satisfy us, and in return what do we do? Us vegs are making the difference while others sit bak and enjoy these precious animals. I would really like to set a much lager example for others. Now i have a deeper respect for animals.
The campaigne thats dearest to my heart is the KFCruelty. It is dearest to me because i never knew how many chickens were killed. Chickens have feelings too. When they kill a chicken is like the Texas Chainsaw guy kills a person. All animals are like us. God gave us chickens for a reason. but that reason is not for food. If it was for food we wouldnt have PETA.
Posted by: Octavio Gonzalez at July 20, 2008 2:11 PMI think that the KFC campaign is the dearest to me. Although hurting any animal is wrong, it particularly annoys me when people think chickens are excluded from this group because they're smaller. No animals deserves to be treated the way KFC treats them, including CHICKENS.
Posted by: Allison at July 20, 2008 2:42 PMAlthough I support all of these campaigns wholeheartedly, the one which I value the most would be the No Fur Campaign. I was always aware that fur wasn't the right option of attire, since animals died for the pitiful purpose of humans wearing their skins. However, I never imagined the magnitude of their suffering. For some absurd reason, I was convinced that they lived out their lives in peace, then painlessly died and were skinned. Peta has opened my eyes to the pain and suffering these animals endure. Although the truth isn't pleasant, I'm quite thankful that I'm aware of it. I now boycott fur entirely, rather than just silently shaming myself when I notice it has found its way into my home. I've really become more conscious about the products I buy because of this campaign.
Posted by: Katie at July 20, 2008 3:16 PMthe KFC boycott is the nearest and dearest to my heart because, my grandfather owns this farm &he raises a bunch of animals. he specifically let me name this one chicken and he said that it could be mine. of course it didnt live with me at my house, but it lived at his farm, and i visited there every weekend.
so basically, i love chickens. they have their own personality. I personally hate the fact that KFC tortures the chickens. Its cruel &unusual, which is in the eighth amendment of the United States Constitution.

But, If I had to chose a favorite, It would probably be I am Not A Nugget.
It is so cute and It gives out a good message. I get a bunch of questions about it too! So it's not only cute, its also a conversation starter, and a path to vegetarianism!

the most one that i hate of all is fur.
its the fucking 21st century and there is NO need for it. if anyone had an inch of a heart they wouldn't dare do anything to hurt an animal for their own selfish needs.
I like the spay and neuter ads, probably because the PSAs are so cute and funny.
Posted by: kelly g. at July 20, 2008 6:40 PMI would have to say that The fight against kfc in the most importent to me,I live on a farm and care for meny animals,I love them all,I've been veggie for over a year now and the thought of eating meat makes me want to get sick. But,I also think that we should fight more then just kfc farms,i was just in IN,and stayed a mile from a chicken farm, the supplier to cambells, the smell was of death, and the thought terreafied me,but all animals are worth the same to me,The last day of school I did a pledge 2 veg,I had over 60 people go vegetarian for a week!,and 12 for a month!I had almost half the school wearing peta2 stickers,It was amazing!keep it up everyone!!

Posted by: Jason at July 20, 2008 10:50 PMThe campaign nearest and dearest to my heart is absolutely "Cut class, not frogs." This campaign is closest to me because everyone, including people who aren't vegetarians or vegans, can participate in decreasing the dissection of frogs. I really have changed my perspective toward animal rights when i became a vegetarian. I realized that frogs and other animals used as science experiments don't deserve what tons of people take part in during school. And i desperately want to help change that project in school when we start. This campaign is important and needs to be spread to everyone about how injust dissecting frogs is and i competely stand by it. I do believe all of the campaigns are very important as well. PEACE!! =P
Posted by: Katie at July 20, 2008 11:21 PMI think that all peta campaigns are extremely important but I have to say that the Cut Class, not Frogs campaign is the one that is most important to me at the moment because it is completely and utterly wrong to be able to force someone to have a part in an animals murder when they are completely uncomfortable with it. Even if the school gives the student the so called "option" to watch someone else dissect, I personally know that you still feel just as guilty and feel like you had a part in the innocent animal's murder as if you killed them yourself and you can never forgive yourself for even being in the same room. That's what happened to me in grade 11 bio before I even went veg, and why I started campaigning to get a student choice policy for dissection put in place across the whole eastern school district of PEI and after 6 months of work I did it. Now I'm going onto University and I plan on doing the same there!
Posted by: Lia at July 20, 2008 11:54 PMI love all the campaigns, but the one that i feel the srongest on is for against dissection. I feel the strongest for the dissection because people are just killing innocent frogs and other animals just so students can cut them open, when there are other options, like computer programs. I believe that computer programs are the best way to go because you can learn the exact same thing, if not more and no animal killing is involved. The sad thing is that all schools do not have these programs and passionet children are failing because they dont want to cut up a living thing. i actually got a D in my 6th grade science class because i would not dissect a cow eye(eww).
===============================================
CUT CLASS NOT ♥FROGS♥
===============================================GO PETA!!!
The No Fur campaign is Nearest and Dearest to me because I love animals and it just tears me all up thinking about my own best friend, my dog, and how I love stroking his fur and he looks at my with his brown puppy dog eyes. I just can't imagine killing anything because they are so beautiful. Fur is for animals. Not people.

Posted by: Linda at July 21, 2008 1:03 AMthe cut class not frogs campaign is very important to me because there are many schools that refuse to switch over to online dissection, including the school i went to in seventh grade. we had to dissect a frog and as soon as i walked into the class room i began crying. i couldn't get myself near any of the tables and i feared so terribly that i would fail if i didn't contribute in some way, so i was the one in the group who took notes. just having to write things down about it made me feel sick. now that i look back on it after reading about the cut class not frogs campaign i wish i had just stood up to my teacher and explained that i would not participate in the dissection, but i can't go back and change that, i can only go forward and do my best to make sure others are able to stand up if they don't want to do something.
Posted by: Sammi at July 21, 2008 1:40 AMThe one that is nearest and dearest to my heart would have to be either "fur is dead" or "Think about it" because 1: I think killing an animal and taking it's fur just for the sake of fashion is wrong and 2: I think the way people treat pigs is horrifying(and that is a word that I hardly ever use), they are just like dogs, well I love them as much as I love dogs anyway, so yeah.

Posted by: Candice at July 21, 2008 9:21 AMI would say that every campaign for PETA2 is very important to me because no animal should suffer by being killed for someone's food, or being tested on just so someone can look pretty. From head to toe, inside out, I think everything is important for animals. When school starts, I will begin the campaign, start a club , and do everything I can to save every animal in the world. I have told everyone that KFC= Kentucky Fried CRUELTY, and every animal counts. But not everyone can change, so I did, and I will be the one that saves animals one by one!

ANIMALS ARE NOT FOOD!!!!

I like the woof campaign the best because pigs are really not that different from dogs. The only reason that we eat pigs and not dogs is because of what american culture pushes. There are cultures that dont eat pig such as judaism, islam, and some hindu. There are also cultures that eat dog such as the vietnamese and the chinese.

Lastly many years ago people discriminated each other because of the color of their skin and it took till January 15 1929 for a preacher named martin Luther king to help raise awareness that we are all equal. This is the same idea. the people who fur are most likely thinking well they are not human so they don't feel pain or it doesn't matter this looks cute on me. As a conscientious vegan, all of the campaigns I think are close to my heart. I hate how people in general somehow assume that animals are commodities or property.
I believe in the sanctity of life, whether that life is a human, animal, or plant. [However, I need to eat plants to survive, and if I ate animals, I would kill way more plants. Just getting that argument out of the way. :P]

Posted by: Elijah at July 22, 2008 2:47 AMI am more into the animal testing and stuff like that...i hate leather and disecting. stuff like that i make an even bigger effort to stop.
Posted by: Brandi at July 22, 2008 2:57 AMAll of them are equally important to me so I could never choose one. Thank you.
Posted by: Kari Follett at July 22, 2008 5:57 AMI am not a nugget! For sure! All of these campaigns are dear to my heart and I do whatever it takes to fight against animal cruelty, but the ‘I am not a nugget’ pin is so important because a lot of people call themselves vegetarian however they still eat chicken. This is baffling to me. Chickens suffer just as bad, if not more than every other animal. So why do some people feel it is still ok to eat chicken so long as they don't eat beef? It doesn't make any sense to me, and I think we need to get the word out. Chickens have their legs and wings broken, they have their beaks cut, they are scalded and boiled. They are robbed of being chickens and forced by selfish people to cram into wire cages by the thousands and await their death sentence. EATING CHICKEN IS NOT OK, EATING EGGS IS NOT OK!. Chickens are very intelligent creatures, they feel compassion, they love, they bruise, they hurt, it’s time to give them the respect and treatment they deserve.
Posted by: Jessica DeBenedetto at July 22, 2008 8:39 AMI Am Not A Nugget. I grew up eating chicken, and it was when I saw the chicken Meet Your Meat that I went veggie. I love them, and have had them as pets.
Posted by: Brandy at July 22, 2008 11:15 AMthe nearest and dearest campaign to meis the KFC campaign......why should we kill innocent chickens just so we can have the pleasure of eating them??!!!
Posted by: Tyler at July 22, 2008 11:28 AMNo fur! I think it's ridiculous that you have to kill an innocent animal just so stuck up people can wear them for one night. It's not fair to the animals. People who wear fur should just skin themselves and see how it feels to be an object for one night.
Posted by: Nancy C at July 22, 2008 12:28 PMpeta campaigns is nearest and dearest to my heart because they do sooooooooo much to help the animals and i like to participate in them. peta campaigns are the best and i cant wait for more. Also peta is nearest and dearest to my heart because the poor animals that are dying for "Starving" fat kids just breaks my heart and what peta people does to make make sure that kids eat right and no meat.
Posted by: CarolinaFlorez at July 22, 2008 1:46 PMI support the KFC boycott. I support it because i go to my mom's friend's farm and i help with the little chicks. Its so upsetting to me that KFC tortures the same animal that i love. I think about how those little chicks are treated, and it bothers me. So, in conclusion, i support the KFC boycott.
Posted by: Torey at July 22, 2008 2:09 PMI would say the kfc cruelty campaign.
This campaign really appealed to me. How? The fact that chickens are being harmfully slaughtered. They deserve to be treated just the way us humans are
The One that matters the MOST is the anti fun campaign. Yes I care about all of these but that one is the one that should just be common sense. Wearing a helpless animal is inmoral. I always compare it to wearing humans. It's the same. We are a creature. But so are they. They roam, breathe, scream... it's the Same thing. They deserve better.
Posted by: sarah hernandez at July 22, 2008 3:42 PM"Cut Class, Not Frogs" is the one dearest to my heart, the reason: it TURNED me vegetarian.
I became a vegetarian when I was 16 yrs old because I went in to science class and there layed a frog...ALIVE and I was to kill him. How could I do that? I asked myself...I couldn't. I stood up and asked my teacher "Why do we have to kill something to save something else? and what are WE as 16 year olds trying to save? what is the point of killing these frogs? I don't get it" and he answered "We are learning" so I turned to the class and said "How many of you are going to become scientists that will need to use this information?" they all said nothing. So I looked at my teacher and said "See, this is useless" and as the whole class watched me-I gathered up every single frog and took them down to the pond that is down the street from my house and I let them all go. Although it wasn't and isn't in writing, that highschool has NEVER dissected another animal in that highschool.
That is why the dissection issue is so dear to me and my froggy friends.
The no fur campaign because everyone can be involved in it. To take innocent animals and then skin them just to use the fur for some fashion statement just makes me sick to think about.
Posted by: Kasey at July 22, 2008 4:33 PMumm i would have to say my favorite campaign woulde be NO FUR!!
the reason being i choose this is b/c i don't think animals are to be worn. IT'S DISGUSTING
and not to mention that they sometimes skin the animals alive it must be painful just think about it . Animals aren't things they to me are humans they have feelings and emotions , they can think and b/c of this i think they deserve to be treated RIGHT , and that does not include being killed to be worn. I DON'T UNDERSTAND how these things are something that many people buy. i
NEVER WOULD buy something like that , this is an example of how IMPORTANT this campaign NO FUR means TO ME -
I USED to be a J-LO fan but once i found out she was selling fur iteams
MY RANGE WAS SO BIG I LOOKED FOR A WAY TO CONTACT HER OR AT LEAST E-MAIL HER AND I DID
I TOLD HER NEVER AGIAN WAS I BUYING ANY OF HER ITEAMS , and even tho she stopped killing animals for fur , I WOUND'T CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT HER B/C EVEN THO SHE STOPPED SHE STILL KILLED THOUSANDS OF ANIMALS , WHO RIGHT KNOW ARE COATS WHO AREN'T EVEN WORN .
To me the most important campaign is the Cut Out Dissection campaign because the animals that are being killed by these students are dying for no reason! There are plenty of perfectly good medical books with pictures that are designed to teach about the anatomy of an animal but oviously these people prefer to inflict pain upon an innocent animal.
Posted by: Leigh-Ann at July 22, 2008 5:16 PMThe nearest and dearest campaign to my heart would definitely be the No Fur Campaign, although each campaign is equally important! I wasn’t always into animal rights and vegetarianism until someone introduced me to PETA. The No Fur campaign was the one that caught my attention. From there, through reading information and watching videos, I learned just how awful this world can be when it comes to all of the animals that live in it, not just the ones that are slaughtered for their fur. If one campaign can have an effect like that on just me, I know it would have had the same effect on others. In other words, one person at a time, people are learning the truth and doing something about it!
Posted by: Amy Terry at July 22, 2008 6:09 PMThe KFC fight is closest to my heart. The conitions those poor animals have to spend their lives in is sickening. Way to go Canada KFC! Way to go! Now if we can get U.S.A.'s KFC's to show the same humanity!
Posted by: Trevor Hicks at July 22, 2008 6:50 PMi love peta the most because it helps animals.
i love animals.
and i love how peta helps them!!
My favorite campaign is definitely the Woof! campaign. When I see people eating a hamburger, or a hot dog or any meat really, I think of my dog at home. I mean really, most people have animals at home but they would never think to eat them! I for sure wouldn't eat my pets! I love them too much for that and I love all other animals as well. I'm especially glad that KFC in Canada now has a vegan option. That shows that there may be some home for KFC's in America.
Posted by: Brianna at July 22, 2008 10:24 PMThey all are equally important. I being a recent Vegan have cut out all meat and by products of meat out of my life and Feel so much better physically and mentally. Thanks to these great sights and causes I know have a purpose. I live in Canada so the KFC one here is settled and hope the rest of the world follows suit. The new veggie chicken burgers are great!.
I feel they are all dear to my heart, but I'll have to go with the I am not a nugget campaign. I would go with the woof campaign also, however you do not have that as one of the buttons. So, I am all for "I am not a nugget" because of all the awfull things that happen to dear little chicks.

PETA is the Best!

I would say that my favorite campain was the whole "cut class, not frogs" because frogs don't deserve to be cut up simply because you want to see a heart or lung. If you really want to see what the inside of a body looks like, search it on google!
Posted by: Sierra at July 23, 2008 9:54 PMI like the KFC campaign. My daughter and I recently passed a HUGE semi truck on the freeway, full of layer upon layer of live chickens looking out at us. They looked so helpless and scared and yet somehow...wise. We felt terribly sad
Posted by: Melanie R. at July 24, 2008 1:33 AMI like the cut class not frogs campaign the best, because I think it is a horrible and gruesome thing to dissect frogs, especially at the expense of an animal's life, just for a little bit of knowledge.
Posted by: Lauren at July 24, 2008 12:27 PMthe campaign dearest to me??
hmmm. thats hard,
but id have to say its "cut class, not frogs" because we can now do all of the work
on computers, and yet school systems continue
to force us to dissect a poor frog.
its sick.
i believe in them all we need to change people minds about meat and etc because of the effect of all that shit that goes into the kids its time we stand up and tell people whats really going on at these places what youre doing to these animals its not fair they cant speak
Posted by: kerri r at July 25, 2008 12:27 AMKFC definitely, only because KFC is fast food (obv) and the fact that it's so cheap, simple, and "good" (in a meat-eaters POV) more and more people buy it and it's way more common. I support all these but I think the average American would most likely go out and buy KFC than a fur-coat (not saying that's not important because it definitely is). The obesity problem in America has a lot to do with how unhealthy and cheap and easy it is to access fast food, there are ridiculous amounts of locations everywhere now and it's only going to become more and if there can be vegan options at KFC maybe people will realize it could help them and convert. It would save a lot of animals and maybe even a lot of human lives referring to the health aspect of it all.
Posted by: esperanza at July 25, 2008 12:28 AMI think each campaign has equal importance. Each has a right to heard and a change needs to be made. animals are out there being abused on an hourly basis and people need to hear about it.
Posted by: chelsey at July 25, 2008 1:44 AMEven though all of the topics are important to me even some that are not up there. Id have to say that animal testing is close to my heart as if eating meat werent bad enough its awful when people use animals like scratch paper in labs in order to create the perfect mascara or lotion. It's not really important to people until they see what its truly like with their own eyes. which is why if we had pins or t-shirts about it then we would be able to talk about what really goes on behind those lab doors and why its wrong and convince them to check out the video: testing 1,2,3
I was talking to my Mom about how i wish she wouldnt keep buying makeup from companies that test on animals and at first she didnt understand and said 'your going to far with this animal rt.s thing' i told her alittle bit about what they did and convinced her to watch the video. Now she's decided to support me and only buy cruelty-free products.
Now my meat-loving family may not listen to me about most things but this is a start. And since i was able to turn over my own mother (who's very stubborn btw) then i would be able to turn over friends and people randomly just by wearing something little like that as a conversation starter.

Posted by: Chloe at July 25, 2008 3:03 PMIt wasn't until about March of this year I became aware of Peta and it's efforts. I kind of accidently found Peta and now I am very glad that I did.
This past year in my AP English class we were asked to write an essay. My teacher told us it could be about ANYTHING and he praised us if we wrote about something controversial or taboo.
I decided to write about the fur industry. Sadly not out of passion but curiosity. I had always assumed that the animals used for fur were found dead in the wild or something like that. Call me stupid but I had no idea about fur farms or anything like that. It's not really something you think about..When you wear fur you don't really think of how it got there. You don't think about how they kill the animals or how bad they suffered for your stupid coat. I watched a video on google from Peta of a raccoon being skinned alive. It was the most barbaric and disgusting thing I had ever seen. And as corny as it is "knowledge is power". After researching this topic I am completely disgusted by fur and I have signed an online pledge with Peta to be fur free for the rest of my life.
But it didn't stop there. Now I am a member of the Peta2 Street team and have participated in anti-circus campaigns and the Kentucky Fried Cruelty campaign.
So even though now all the campaigns are important to me the fur campaign is what got me started. The fur industry is very cruel and I would do almost anything to stop it. There is enough materials to create faux fur in the world that real fur is not needed or is it fashionable, it's murder.
Posted by: Amanda at July 25, 2008 4:35 PMThe No Fur Campain is very, very special to me, because for one of my classes we had to do a speech and paper...And I had no idea what to do, but since I have always loved animals. And have been a vegetarian for all my life, I thought about doing something on animals. When I did some research it brought me to your site. And I just knew that I wanted to write my paper against killing animals for fur, because of how horrible they treat the animals. I was shocked at all the mean, stupid, and just down right disguisting things they did to these poor, sweet, little animals. So now, I want to even further show my support by wearing the buttons and show that I wasn't just doing it for a paper or for a speech, but that I really care and mean what I said and wrote! I love what PETA is doing and I support you guys 100%! You are truly amazing :) (But I support all of them!)
Posted by: Amber at July 27, 2008 11:27 AMI know I'm not going to win this, seeing how there's like hundreds of other comments, but I think that all the campaigns are equally important. But the closets to my heart would have to be Cut out dissection. It's just wrong to make kids in schools do that when we can easily learn the same thing in a book or online without killing innocent animals.
Posted by: Marissa at July 27, 2008 6:59 PMthe KFC campaign - they kill so many chickens each year, its just reprehensible
Posted by: christopher h at July 27, 2008 9:05 PMI think that the "woof!" campaign is my 'favourite'. For all we say about humans all being equal, why don't we treat animals as equal beings? Its the same as racism for animals. Martin Luther King died for his cause, to remind us that we are all the same, no matter what colour of skin. Animals should be treated the same, be it scales or fur. They are ALL important and they ALL play a HUGE part in the ecosystem. If you are againist racism yet still discriminate (sp?) againist different types of animals, how do you classify a difference? Animals are effectively our family. They should be treated so. You would no less disown or torture/eat a member of your family because they had black hair? Even thinking that seems silly, but why are so many still doing that to animals?
Posted by: Mary-Kate at July 28, 2008 12:24 PMI think all of Peta2's campaigns have been very important to me, and all have defiently impacted me in some way. If I were to choose, however, I would have to say the 'Fight the Circus' campaign would probably be the dearest to my heart. Being a very strong believer in anti-animal cruelty, the circus is often something people pass up as a form of 'entertainment', rather than what it really is, animal cruelty. This campaign helped raise awareness and educate all those that never before realized that this 'entertainment' that has brought on so many laughs and smiles was the result of a world of pain, torture and cruelty to animals. This campaign definitely spread the word about the truth of circuses everywhere.

The worst part was we had to skin them. The teacher gave out extra points if you got a pregnant one. I literally had to leave the room and go throw up. My daughter is now a total vegetarian. She has to start disecting this year in school. I would soooo give these to her.
Posted by: Samantha Potts at July 31, 2008 12:36 AMNo fur- It seems so unnecessory. I'm not into fashion anyway, I don't need a fur coat. I think its the worst of all.
Posted by: Paula Harmon at July 31, 2008 7:32 AMMy favorite PETA2 campaign is "Boycott KFC", because its so easy to get involved in, I heard about how horrible KFC was and it broke my heart, it was the reason I became vegetarian. I was so disgusted that I actually made posters to share the information with my friends. I even keep one in my school binder so people will see. I decided I want to make a change and I've been educating people about "The KFC Boycott" and I've even sent posters to my friends in other states and encouraged them to do the same. I have changed over 15 of my friends minds and they have now became full vegetarians and about 75% of my school will not get KFC which makes me proud to stand up for animal rights.

Posted by: Ashley L at August 8, 2008 11:51 AMThe Woof! campain.
Why? Most people can worm their way around ethics, the "cute and cuddly strategy" and even the shock factor.
But cold hard logic?
Thats something you can't ignore. No matter how tough and "raw meat and ripping iron" a person is how many times have you seen them babying their dog? Dogs are more intelligent as pigs and just as cute yet we refuse to accept that they are the same! I asked someone how they would feel If i offered them a plate of dog ribs and they were all grossed out and looked at me strangely. Then I asked them if they'd like some ribs and they were eager to have it! I then had an interesting talk with the person on how close dogs and pigs are and they semmed to see the light a little. This campain is the perfect way to spread the animal love and justice without causing a huge scene ( Though that is fun in it's own ways )
Other than that I'm a big fan of Fur is Dead.
I love these pins! They look great on my uniform kilt and I love to wear them in the caf while I have my tofurkey vegan wrap.
Though you guys really do need to start a campaign about cows. I've had a toy cow since I was three years old and never understood how I could eat the live version of my stuffed best friend!
All campaigns are important. Animals dont have a voicee so we speak for them I think it is the most wonderful think ever. People take advantage of small harmless things its important that we protect them .
Posted by: Heidi at May 29, 2009 7:57 PMThe closest one would have to be mccruelty because Mc Donads has one of the worst slaughterhouses that kills all the chickens. They get hung upside down, they're electrocuted, their bones are broken, and the workers have the chance to abuse the birds. I cant believe people do this to get paid or as a job... killing for a job! dont think so.
Posted by: Marisela at June 26, 2009 2:51 PMI have to say the campaign against KFC is my favourite. This is because I see so many people turn to fast food because they are too lazy or busy to cook and it makes me upset that they are harming their bodies (putyting junk into them) at teh same time as harming sweet little chickens (my fav. pet on the farm). :D KFC has to the one of the largest and/or most well known chicken killers :o and I think we will see real victory if we change that!

I would have to say that all the campaigns are important to me, but the most important is the Woof! campaign. One of the main reasons I went vegetarian is because I don' see a difference between a dog and a pig, or a cat and a cow. I was also a huge supporter of the Kentucky Fried Cruelty campaign, and I'm so happy that they agreed to PETA's welfare plans (I'm Canadian!) =)
