Hairy Birthday to the Trollsen Twins June 13, 2008

As most of you probably remember from my blog on Monday, today is the Olsen Twins' birthday (oddly, it's also Friday, the 13th). Many people have been writing us to let us know they mailed Hairy Kate and Trashley some of their hair along with a note that reads, "Please—use my hair instead of the animals'. Happy Birthday." Outlets across the world have been picking up this story, but my favorite definitely has to be the Best Week Ever blog. Hilarious.
If you haven't participated yet, it's not too late—after all, a late birthday present is better than no birthday present at all, right?

Fish have feelings, but the Olsen twins don't? Classy. We make our message weaker by acting like trash. I personally want people to react based on the facts, not based on some sort of tee-hee, we're stickin' it to the celebrities cliquey campaign.

i think its a good idea to send them hair. Someone said 'fish have feelings' what about mary kate and ashley? They have feelings just as the animals they wear. Peta also has feelings, so why bash?
What a clever idea. I'm mailing my hair in as we speak. Better mine than a defenseless animal.
