Contest win pigs Free Stuff Friday woof
Lots of people saying "Woof!" lately, eh? That's because pigs and dogs have more in common than most people are aware of. The dogs of the world have it lucky, while the pigs . . . not so much. For the pigs' sake, sign our petition saying that pigs deserve the same protection as dogs.
Now that you've helped the pigs, it's time to spread the word like Ryan and Rachel:

To make this easy for you we are giving away a Woof! prize pack complete with a tee, hat, and a whole bunch of stickers to one lucky winner!
To win, comment below with what you would name this pig:

I would go with Oliver. Or Gordon . . .
This contest ends July 18, 2008 and the winner will be chosen and notified by July 25, 2008!
Just so you know...by commenting here, we're taking that as acknowledgment that you've read and agreed to our privacy policy.
Also by commenting, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
I love pigs!

Mr.has-to-be-treated-cruelly-just-because-he's-not-a-dog.
WOOF!
As the petition is about getting equal rights for pigs and getting them the same protection as dogs do, I have decided to call the pig Patch...
I have chosen to name the pig Buster because the picture is about a pig saying woof, trying to show pigs and dogs are the same and deserve the same protection, so therefore i decided to give the dog a common dogs name too....
=D

ping-pong!! ping-pong the pig! the image of a ping pong table, two equal sides with one winning and one losing.. kind of reminds you how pigs and dogs are the same but in the end, one is winning big and one losing more than you can imagine. plus, it's just super cute!

Posted by: eli arriaga at June 27, 2008 6:21 PMi really think it should be named "fido" or "rover" because everyone is naming it a pig's name. isn't the point to make people see that a pig is not so different from a dog?

I would call him Lucky, because pigs are known to bring good luck and if I won him that would be lucky for me hence the new name "Lucky"
thanks for the contest
Fluffy. All the best pets are named "fluffy". It doesn't matter that the little piggy doesn't have any fluff - giving it the name fluffy just makes it seem so much more loveable...and less likely to end up in a BLT somewhere.
Posted by: Kaysee at June 27, 2008 7:32 PMI'd name this piggy "Pinky Petapiggy Jr."
(Pinky Petapiggy Sr. was turned into bacon! I would name this pig Pinky Petapiggy so he could carry on his father's name for a good cause!)
i would name the pig
Marley

or maybe the name could simply be Marley

Posted by: Sarah S at June 27, 2008 8:04 PMI would name the pig Frodo because of its height, or name it Oinkers because of all the noise it would make, save the pigs, turn vegan. Posted by: christopher h at June 28, 2008 12:35 AMI think naming it something like a conventional dog name is wrong. It's a pig, not a dog, but it still doesn't deserve to be treated creully.
I don't think its right to push people to realize they're wrong by comparing it something. You shouldnt have to EXPLAIN why torturing animals is wrong. People should just see it, and understand that nothing, be it dog, pig, or person, deserves that sort of treatment.
I want to name it Hershal, after a pig that my grandpa raised, then slaughtered when I was 11. He treated him just like he would his dogs, but in the end it didn't matter. So I think Hershal is a good choice to memorialize an animal I was close with, that didn't deserve to die.
the pigs name is
-TED
