Contest win Free Stuff Friday Symptom Skateboards Ed Templeton
I have never been to Cedar Rapids, Iowa (though I did grow up in Illinois) and this Free Stuff Friday contest makes me think that it would be a fun place to go - especially if you're into skateboarding!
For one thing, it is home to Mike "Sticky" Duthler founder of Symptom Skateboards, vegetarian, and peta2 supporter. This skateboarding entrepreneur wants to help get the animal rights word out by giving away a custom Symptom Skateboards deck!
He also runs a magazine called Anklepants, which he describes as, "chockablock full of photos of young whippersnappers on their shred-sleds, printed on the finest 8.5 x 11 inch recycled papers, Anklepants is guaranteed the life of the party". How could it not be awesome?
One lucky boy or girl will walk away with the deck (compliments of Sticky himself) and a copy of Anklepants Magazine. Two others will receive a copy of Anklepants! Comment below with why you think you should win!
This contest ends April 25, 2008 and the winners will be chosen and notified by May 2, 2008!

I think I should win because EVERYTIME PeTA needs something; I'm there. I don't skate but my boyfriend is in need of a new board & he'd love it :) I get personal e-mails from Rachel & Nicole asking me to contact people for them, I got a hold of David Novak's (KFCruelty Head thing) cell number. I pass out flyers & have MANY pictures of activism including everything from sticking stickers in random places,leafletting ANYWHERE,hanging up peta signs on telephone poles to protesting KFC & Fur :)

Some people don't think it's not a real sport, but screw them!! ^_^ I don't know how to skateboard, but I would really like to learn!! A lot of my friends have offered to teack me how, and I just haven't gotten around to getting one yet -oops!! I've learned how to wave board, which is... what? Easier? Harder? Then skateboarding. I want to learn tricks all that great stuff!! I'm kind of clumsy, so it WOULD be a great way to learn how to balance well... A lot of guys consider skateboarding a guy thing, but whatever!! I'm gonna prove that girls can skate-and are smarter!! Ahaaa... ha!! :D

We're out there like everyday whether it's raining, windy, or perfect weather outside. We have cheap Wal-Mart skateboards though, it sucks. I have family that lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa so that's convenient :D I love that he's not only a good skateboarder but he actively stands up for what he believes in. That shows how much character he has.

Sticky Mike is as of now officially the coolest skater...and my favorite skater! :D I so would like to win a deck because my last skateboard got stolen :( and an affordable good deck is hard to come by. Also every time I go to the skate park i wear my Peta T's! And then with the magazine i could learn even more about skating and people would be like "wow shes pretty good!...AND SHES VEGAN!...we should try that too!" or something like that anyway :)

Me and her are both vegan, and I would LOVE to be able to give her this. And to be honest, her current board is so messed up, chipped and stuff, and what 15 year old can afford a skateboard like this, you know?

Im just startin to learn to skateboard. I would love riding on this hot new deck. and when i fall and brake it (cause it will it old, i would never brake it on perpose!) i will so hang it on my wall like Rob dyrek nex to my enjoi!

Also, I will get a photo of the deck sometime soon (hopefully by the end of the day). It's a good'n!
The deck is 8 inches wide. I might have some griptape (black Mob Grip) I could throw along with it, as well.

Well, because I'd love a new skateboard! I had a old one when my brother gave it up after a year of trying, and bunged it in the loft/yard.
Also, I love the look of the magazine, espicially since it's recylcled.

My family is a great supporter of PETA-we all don't wear animal product appearal and are against all these ads glamorizing wearing dead animals as fashion. I what to win it because it is my teenage daughter's birthday, she is attempting to learn to skateboard and I don't have the money for everything involved in skateboards. It would be extremely appreciated by a young woman who is a strong advocate against the wearing of furs, a lover of animals (we have adopted many that were not wanted anymore) and does not like any meal with meat in it.
